Recap: Anika's birthday celebrations with surprises from Ishwar

Life was a bliss for everyone. Anika's baby had everyones finger wrapped around its little finger even before he/she was born. The family pampered Anika taking care of her every minute. Radha and Krishnan stayed in village and with family alternately. Alexander stayed at Ishwar's home as he did not want to miss any moment of his daughter's life anymore. Ishwar would go to office only for mandatory meetings otherwise he worked from his home study and his new PA Ravi was trained by Lilly before she got relieved from her works.
When Lilly returned India along with Alex she made only one request from Alexander in return for her work she did for him. Alexander and Ishwar was shocked to hear her request to relieve her from all works according to Alex's promise. Ishwar knew it was the best to relieve her. So she herself recruited a guy as PA for Ishwar and trained him before she got relieved. She did not reveal of her plans and left everyone with a happy note.
Three months passed and Anika was now 6 months pregnant. Ishwar had an important meeting so he left to office leaving Anika with parents. Ishwar and Nancy were in the board meeting and she gave her presentation about the progress of the company in the past six months and the new ventures they had planned which needed the approval of the board members. The meeting went on and on for continuous 4 hours and by the time meeting was over Nancy felt dizzy and left the conference room. She called Jerry who was now heading the IT sector of them.
When Jerry reached her cabin Nancy was trying hard to hold her conscious. He immediately picked her and drove to the hospital for check up who was already informed about their arrival.
Jer: She has been sick for a few days and today she looks worse.
Doc: Are you working restless Mrs. Jerald ?
Nan: No doctor, my family doesn't let me do that. They care for me and my brother never lets me over work. He has appointed two assistants for me to help my works. Its just I think we are expecting but I haven't done any home test. I missed my period.
Doctor smiled and informed the nurse to do the test for Nancy and waited for the results. Once she got the reports she smiled at the couple.
Doc: Congrats she is pregnant and its very early to do a scan so we will wait for another one month and then we can do the scan. For now she has to rest and take care of her health. Eat healthy food and also the supplements I will prescribe.
Jerry received a call from Ishwar who got to know that Jerry had carried Nancy from office. Jerry informed everything was fine and they were returning home. Ishwar informed him to drive safe and he too returned home waiting for them.
Jerry opened the door for Nancy and settled in the driver seat. He shut his eyes for a moment and the next moment he pulled Nancy to his lap and kissed her forehead with his hand on her abdomen.
Jer: Thank you Nancy....thank you so much...I love you
Nancy wiped his tears and shook her head and saw him smiling.
Jer: You have never asked about me so far ?
Nan: I want you share only when you are comfortable Jerry. If you ready then I m all ears..
Jer: I was the only son of my parents of a middle class family. Me and Ishwar went to the same college. Me and Ishwar were different from others. We never made friends but we were best friends. My parents were my world but I lost them in an accident. I had no one to care for me. Ishwar was there for me but still I could not get over the loss of my parents. I took a decision to end my life but that day Ishwar saved me. He took me to his home and his parents loved me like their own son. They gave me home, food, education like they did for Ishwar. He got a promise from me that I would never think of ending my life.
Later we both went to London. There we both got introduced to wrong people but we never left each other. We stood as rock for each other. Once he got shot but that bullet was aimed at me but he got that to save me. No one knew about this execpt me. Together we made wonders in the underground but he was way more intelligent..smart fellow...fearless..
We know each other in and out. We stayed away from the parents who gave us everything only to keep them safe. If not him then I would have been dead years ago. You know whatever he has earned so far are named equally on me. I have opposed many times but he never listen to me. Everytime he started a business or bought a land or made investment first he will make sure that I m a part of it. Today I have a family only because of him. I can ever repay for whatever he did for me.
Nan: We both are same in many way Jerry. I lost my mother at a very young age and my father was never there for me. He knew nothing other than drinking. Only Ana and granny cared for me. People may think that I took care of Ana but in reality I was like an orphan and they became my family and granny treated us alike always. At times my father used to come home with his drunkard friends. Granny will take me with her those days. Me and Ana are not only friends but we are more of sisters.
When Ishwar came into our life I never thought that my life will also change like this. I never thought that someone will adopt me at this age but he truly loved me as his sister. I still remeber the day he threatened you to take care of me before we got married. Ana, granny, Ishwar, you and now Alex dad, Radha ma, Krish pa...I don't know what have I done in my previous birth that I got you all in this life. You people love me like your own.
Jer: Silly, you are our own..we love you Nanu ma...
Nan: I know....we can never repay for all their love for us..
Jer: The only thing we could do is not to talk about this to them. they will feel bad if we take this topic but we can love them unconditionally like they do us.
Nan: That we will do... We won't miss them for anything or anybody. And you...my dear husband.. I love you so much..
Jerry smiled and they started kissing but soon were interuppted with blaring of Jerry's mobile. He saw it was Ishwar's call and answered it immediately.
Ish: Jerry..you idiot..where are you and what happened to Nancy ? either you get her back this moment or I will kick your ass that you won't be able to sit for a week. Tell where is she and what happened to her ?
Before Jerry could speak Anika yanked the mobile from Ishwar.
Ani: Jerry bro, what happened to Nanu ?
She started crying which made both Jerry and Nancy to panick.
Nan: Ana, I m good and fine.. we are on way to home. I thought of buying ice cream for you so it took time. Don't worry we will be there soon.
Ish: Nancy, we have enough ice cream so you better be in home now...got it ?
Nan: yes bro...chill I m fine.. we are driving back..
They cut the call and Nancy moved to her seat and Jerry started driving to save his ass from Ishwar while Nancy was chuckling at him.
Nan: God, I must have clicked your photo when bro threatened to kick your ass.
Jer: Stop it girl..or I will kick you ass.
Nan: Jerry baby....its called spanking...
Jer: Sure I will spank you but now let me take you to your brother first. He must be going mad now.
They reached home and Ishwar, Anika was waiting in the porch and once Jerry stopped the car, Ishwar opened the door for Nancy and Anika hugged her.
Ani: What happened Nanu, we were scared when we saw the footage of Jerry berry carrying you from office.
Nan: I m fine lets go inside first.
They entered inside and the elders were also worried for Nancy. Ishwar took strides towards Jerry but stopped when hearing Nancy's words.
Nan: I m pregnant...
Anika squealed and jumped forgetting being pregnant and hugged her. Ishwar hugged both Nancy and Jerry. Everyone poured their wishes for the couple.
Ish: Nancy you will not go to office from today. Let your assistants take care of it.
Ani: What about her food ?
Nan: Shut your mouth Ana ?
Ani: No way Nanu, lets enjoy together now. You were so happy to torture me but see we will sail in same boat. Welcome new momma...
Months passed and both Anika and Nancy were taken care by the family. Anika was nine months pregnant. Ishwar and Anika got shifted to a room in the ground floor.
Anika was still sleeping as she couldn't sleep through out the night. When she woke up at 10 Ishwar carried her to the washroom and helped her to wear a gown.
He fed her food and gave tablets. He left the room and Radha entered the room along with Nancy with bags in their hand and Nancy was dressed in a silk saree and er air was adorned with flowers.
Ani: what are these ?
Radh: We have got dress for you to change... Now we will help you change into this.
Radha and Nancy made Anika change into the dress and did little makeup. They took her to the living and Anika beamed in happiness to see the place decorated with balloons, flowers and bangles. Ishwar winked at her who was dressed in a lehenga instead of saree which could make her uncomfortable. Her makeup was simple and had a single diamond necklace on her neck with matching earrings.
A couch was placed with many plates of bangles before it and a lamp lit before it.
Radh: I will not force you to follow all the rituals but you can wear bangles which will sure give happiness to you.
Ani: Its not like I refused any ritual. I will happily accept whatever you want to do..
Radha hugged Anika and made her sit on the couch and Nancy next to her. She did not force the tradition though Anika and Nancy did not deny. Radha applied a little sandle paste on their cheeks alone and wore bangles on her hand. Followed by her Nancy, Jerry, ALex, Krishnan and Ishwar made them wear bangles. Everytime they slid the bangles Anika and Nancy raised their hand and shook the bangles making sound from it.
Radha made lemon rice, mango rice, curd rice, coconut rice, sweet pongal and fed Anika and Nancy little by little. They all enjoyed the day as Anika and Nancy enjoyed everything Radha made for them specially. By evening Anika was changed into a shirt and skirt and sat on the couch in her room. Ishwar sat next to her. she raised her hands and shook by his ears which made him smile.
Ani: I m loving this...so beautiful....feels so different and true to maa's words this sound is giving so much happiness.
Ish: You look like a goddess Anika.....so beautiful...
Anika touched his cheeks with her bangles and kissed his lips and they clicked many photos with her bangles.
Ishwar was scared everytime she walked and would tail behind her everywhere she went. He preferred having her in bed all time in fear but Radha's strict words to take her for walk morning and evening made him follow it even at the cost of his fear. He would sigh in relief when they would return to room after walk. Anika would smile at his scared face when she would stop being tired of walking or close her eyes of exhaustion.
Right now they were sleeping and Anika had the urge to pee frequently. Ishwar who was like sleeping with open eyes helped her everytimewhich was more then 10 times in 45 minutes. He called his mother to check if that was normal but Radha suggested to reach the hospital.
Radha woke up Jerry and Ishwar carried Anika to the car and Jerry drove them to the hospital followed by everyone. Anika was taken inside and Ishwar stood outside patting his chest to control the heart which was beating erratically. He moved back when the doctor opened the door.
Doc: sir, her sac started leaking so we will induce the labor with injection.
Ish: She is fine right ? Can I be with her ?
Doc: Ofcourse you can but you should be brave enough to console her.
Doctors gave injections to induce the labor and Ishwar was by her side holding her hand when the pain started mildly. He hid his fear well and kept her distracted well to keep her calm.
With passing hour her pain started increasing and doctor kept checking frequently. Ishwar sat on the bed with Anika leaning on him and he kept caressing her abdomen and thighs gently, every now and then wiping the tears from her eyes and kissing her temples.
Doc: She has dilated 7cm and she will ready with 10 cm...we will wait..
Ish: Can't you do anything to make it quick.. She is crying in pain..
Doc: Sir, I understand your love for her but we need to wait till she is dilated 10cm..
Ani: Mama, its paining a lot...please.....
Ish: some more time snow flake....then we will have our baby with us....our baby...very cute and small with button nose, pink cheeks, tiny fingers and toes...eyes like you.....remember you wanted our baby to have so much of hair right then sure our baby will be cute with hairs and even eyebrows too..
Anika hummed and he kissed her temples and shoulders as she held their fingers entwined with her eyes closed, tears rolling from the corner of her eyes.
Another hour passed and Anika cried more in pain and she was taken to the labor room. Ishwar never left her through out the 10 hours time and entered the labor room wearing the scrubs and held her hand. Anika screamed in pain with every push and digged her nails in Ishwar's palm.
With a final scream doctor pulled the baby out and both Anika and Ishwar smiled with tears looking at the little bundle covered with blood and fluid, the cry blarred through out the room.
Doc: Congrats both of you...its a girl baby....
Doctor placed the baby on Anika's chest and she kissed the baby's forehead. Anika looked at Ishwar and he carried their baby in his arms and kissed her forehead, fingers and toes..He bent and kissed Anika's forehead and pecked her lips.
Doctor sent Ishwar out for sometime and he hugged everyone conveying the birth of his daughter. A nurse came out carrying the baby and Radha took the baby in her arms and everyone were on cloud nine looking at cute bundle of joy.
Nan: She is looking like Ana..
Jer: No, she has features of Ishwar too..
Alex: She looks cute...
Ishwar waited for the door to open and soon Anika was shifted to private ward and Ishwar hugged her immediately.
Ish: I never knew the real meaning of pain until I saw you going through it..I can never see you in pain again Anika...
Ani: what ??? I thought you will ask for a football team...
Ish: No, We two ours one....thats it...
Before they could talk further nurse entered following a doctor and passed the baby to Anika. doctor instructed Anika to feed the baby.
A week later:
Anika was discharged from the hospital two days later and Radha taught Ishwar and Anika to take care of the baby. Ishwar hardly gave his time to his business and would stick to Anika and their daughter all time. They named her Nisha in a simple ceremony at home as they didn't want to reveal their baby's face.
Ishwar would learn to change diaper from youtube and read many books to take care of their princess. He would rock the baby to sleep once Anika feed her. Both sit on the bed looking at their baby admiring her cuteness when she smiled while asleep. Ishwar being the caring father would always be proactive and change diapers frequently. A part of their room was now a nursery with all toys. Ishwar would massage Anika's abdomen with essential oils and even give a full body massage and bath to soothe her muscles.
In all these they never forget to take care of Nancy. She was treated the same as Anika and she used to glare to Anika who would smile looking at Nancy's state. Four months later Nancy gave birth to a daughter and they named her Catherine...
Ishwar and Anika saw both Nisha and Catherine sleeping in the same baby cot with Alexander and Krishnan watching them and returned to their room. He shut the door and hugged her from behind kissing her nape.
Ish: Life is so beautiful...Usually there is say that no human lives with all his wishes fulfilled but I m exceptional. There is nothing that I don't have...A beautiful wife, cute princess, friend, sister, parents, business, money, fame....everything...May be god had blessed me because he had already planned to give you to me..
Ani: cheesy man...Now lets talk serious... I want a trainer to lose my weight.. I look like a baby elephant..
Ish: shut up darling...you look cute...and chubby...About the marks they are the records of bringing our princess into this world so I want them forever...I love them on you....
Their moment was interuppted when there was a knock and Ishwar opened the door. The maid passed a parcel to Ishwar.
Ish: What is this ?
Ani: Oh, thank god, its delivered...you know Radha ma is giving me so much of fatty foods that will secrete milk for Nisha but its like too much of secretion so I ordered this pumping machine to collect the milk and store it or may be we can give it to the foundations who collect them for babies who are in need of it.
Ish: Woww...so thoughtful of you...I appreciate for trying to help those babies in need but you are so narrow minded that you left your another baby to starve..
Ani: Be honest Mr. Ishwar. You have become so shameless these days...oh my god...may be you are one of the reason the secretion is too much...idiot...get lost never come to me..
Ish: I have already told you that I m your first baby so what is wrong in taking what is mine ? I don't disturb our daughter's part...God has given two and I just own one for now...
Ani: Ishwar Vincent...get lost before I kick you out...
Ishwar carried her over his shoulder and threw her on the bed and hovered on her with a smirk.
Ish: don't tell me something which I can never do in my life.....By the way we should plan our honeymoon after our princess birthday. So start planning for that but for now I have lot of work to finish for the night so stay calm co operate Mrs. Ishwar.
Nisha's first birthday.
Anika and Ishwar wished their princess Nisha for her first birthday and got her dressed up. When they reached the living the whole family was waiting to carry princess and poured their wishes. Nisha was closest to Catherine and would play with her most of the time. Anika and Nancy were happy that their daughters were turning out like them. They spent the day taking Nisha to an orphanage and offered sweets, clothes and toys to all children. Ishwar had planned a birthday party but did not reveal the destination to Anika which made her annoyed but she let go as it was their princess birthday. By evening everyone got ready and drove in two cars. Anika was glaring at Ishwar who was not revealing the place they were driving to. Half way through he blindfolded her and gave Nisha to his mother.
Anika was ranting all way and he pecked her lips to shut her mouth. Once the car stopped he opened the door for her and held Anika's hand and helped her to get down.
Ish: Anika, you know how much I love you and I too know how much you love me and everyone in our family. I know you don't love materialistic things but this is my love for you and your love for our family...
He removed her blindfold and Anika blinked her eyes few times and her eyes popped out and she closed her mouth gasping in surprise looking at the huge mansion before her which stood majestically glittering with lights. she touched the name plate "Ana's mansion" and turned to Ishwar who winked at her.
He took Nisha from his mother and held Anika's hand. They all together walked inside. Anika was spellbound to see the fountain, the garden which had all her favourite flowers. She took slow steps admiring every part. Ishwar stopped by the door which had a satin ribbon and gave a scissor to Anika but she pulled Radha and made her cut the ribbon. They stepped inside the huge living was decorated with lights and flowers from the ceiling and balloon on the floor and curtains on the wall.
Ani: this ?
Ish: Your plan .... want to build this according to your wish so I made you draft the architectural design and in fact after you returned from village you loved some of the architects from there so that is also taken care. This is exactly what you have designed for the next generation of our family...The first event should be a special one so our princess first birthday will happen here. Guest will arrive at 6. We will take a complete tour after the party..
Jer: Business elites, office staffs, press, media are also invited...some of our friends too..
Ish: Interior decoration is not completed fully so I want you and Nancy to do that part. You both can decide on you want it to be. Now lets look after the party..
At 6 guest started arriving and they had memorable celebration. After the party Radha took Nisha and Catherine to sleep with her giving time for the couples. Ishwar, Anika entered their master bedroom in the new mansion. As soon they entered Anika hugged him throwing her hands around his neck and sobbed wetting his shirt.
Ani: I love you....
Ish: I love you snow flake.....
No more words are required to express their love for each other.

Such a long chapter again... See you all in Epilogue..
Initially I planned this full chapter for Anika's pregnancy and I had plans of giving a separate chapter for Jerry and Nancy for their closure but changed the idea and have given Jerry and Nancy part in this. I will give a bonus chapter for Anika's pregnancy as she is the main lead of the plot.
