Sophie sits up "as a fellow hughes girlfriend welcome" she says. I smile "thank you" I reply. We talk for a bit before warmups start.
Jack spots us right away and waves at us with a bright smile. I wave back and even blow him a kiss. He smiles and his face turns red "awww" ellen gushes. "Isn't he so cute when he blushes?" I ask her.

After warmups the anthems sung and then the game starts. We're on the edge of our seats for most of the game and New York takes over getting 3 goals.
During the second intermission I text jack some words of encouragement.

About 10 minutes later they're coming out of the locker room and back onto the ice. I sit up for most of it feeling anxious. Jack gets the puck and is on a breakaway but is tripped. The refs call for a penalty shot.
I sit on the edge of my seat watching Jack move close to the goalie and he gets the puck into the back of the net. We all stand up cheering and I give his parents high fives.
We sit back down and just a couple minutes later the rangers get another making it 4-1. Damn. I look at jack while he's on the bench and he's looking upset. "He'll be ok liv" ellen says reassuringly. "I know" I frown.

"Yeah I agree too" I add in. "Luke's gonna be on" quinn says. "Yeah for half of it if that" lilly says. We all nervously watch as luke and Jack are on the ice. Luke helps block a few shots and it gets to the rangers end.
I sit on the edge of my seat as Jack gets the puck but dougie replaces luke. Patrick kane gets ahold of the puck and passes it to one of his teammates and he shoots it to get an empty netter with 17 seconds left.
Damn.
Jack's first off the ice and I see him throw his stick in anger. "You should probably go meet him" Ellen says. I nod "come with I'm sure he'll wanna see you" I reply. She nods and we all go wait in the meeting spot.
About an hour later Jack's coming out with a frown on his face. His eyes twinkle when he sees me and he just wraps his arms around my waist. "You did your best" I tell him.

Lilly rests her head against him and whispers something to him. "Luke you still did great" I tell him. "Thanks liv" he replies. I nod and hug Jack again. "Isnt she beautiful?" He asks his parents.
My face heats up and I start blushing "oh stop" I whisper. "Never" he says. Ellen and jim smile "she is" they both say. "Thank you" I reply. "Well I guess we should be getting back to the hotel" ellen says. Jim nods in agreement and we all leave.
While jim, Ellen, quinn and sophie go to their hotel luke and lilly go to Lilly's and jack and I go to his place. He holds my hand while he's driving and I lean in close to him.
