And that concludes the end of Blank Slate. This story was not the kind I intended to write—Denizen had other ideas than my outline—and definitely is one of my most messy first drafts, but hey, we've made it!
After ONC is over, I fully intend to expand Blank Slate into a novel where I will flesh out a lot of the details, memories, and characters. However, this probably won't happen until I write the sequel. Yep, you read right; there's a sequel! Blank Slate is the first in a duology (which has no name as of now) with Deception, which will probably be written as a novel or a novella, if I feel like it.
While Blank Slate dives into his story, Deception is where the truth to his backstory and the question of his future comes to a head. As the title suggests, we'll be seeing more of Deception (or "purple lady" as some of you have dubbed her XD).
Now, before I wrap up, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has read, silent, partner, or otherwise! Especially to CEBronk for your lovely comments, theories, and speed to reading each new chapter; StarSpeckledSkies for being a superb ONC Book Club partner with your fun and helpful comments—it was a joy to reply to them and they always made me smile—and nerdy references (high five, fellow nerd!); and SpruceWolf for joining the chaos and doling out all the well deserved bonks, pats, and great advice!
