TAEHYUNG'S POV
After reaching back home, I rest assured everyone that Yn's fine now, Yuri and Eunwoo were still worried about her so I put them on the bed as Grandma already fed them dinner, after making sure both of them are sleeping comfortably, I head outside of their room, I glance at my room it was empty, suddenly I don't want to go in there.
My head was a mess right now, Yn is not fine and we have limited time for Eunwoo too but Sumi, she surely doesn't want me to get closer to Yn, I'm so confused right now, I really have no idea what to do or not, I can't choose anyone between them but can't leave either, I sighed heavily and decided to talk with someone.
Dad is the only person who can help me, he was always there for me in the past, and he always guide me on the right pathway. Six years ago I by myself hurt him and left Korea to live a comfortable life Sunmi, I know he still hates me for taking that decision but I can try to talk to him for once.
I head towards Dad's room, I knocked on the door and entered inside, Dad was reading a book when he saw me he kept the book beside him and asked,
"What's wrong?"
I kneeled in front of him and while looking down I asked,
"Can we talk?"
He nodded and look over me with full attention, I sighed and spoke,
"Dad, I'm sorry"
"You know to whom you should say those words"
I nodded, he always wanted me to apologize to Yn for everything.
"Good you realize"
I look up at him and spoke,
"Dad I need your help"
He folded his arms and waited for me to continue, I gulped nervously and continued,
"Dad I love my kids way more than I expected"
"I know I was a fool back then to ignore everything"
"But...when I saw the kids for the first time I realized I made a huge mistake"
I closed my eyes after letting out the thing I never talked about with anyone, he sighed and asked,
"Do you really love kids?"
"Of course Dad"
"What about YN?"
I curiously looked over at him, he sighed and asked again,
"What do you feel about her?"
"I...d...don't know"
"Then found out yourself"
"But Sumi, she doesn't want me to get any closer to Yn "
"She'll be hurt"
He sighed heavily and spoke,
"See what I'm going to say is not because I adore Yn more than Sunmi, just try to understand the situation"
It's true, before Yn came into our life Dad fully supported my and Sunmi's relationship, he used to treat her like his own daughter but since Yn came back he felt sorry for Yn because she have to give up on her own life just for the sake of our family on the other hand, for Sunmi, he never hated her, he just like Yn a little more than Sunmi. I nodded and listened to him,
"Sumi left her family and in return she got you, to love, to rely on, to share her problems with"
"But YN she sacrificed her life for our family, your kids, and you but what she got in her return?"
"Nothing, but hate, pity, and pain"
"She doesn't have anyone to rely upon, to share her problems with, to love..."
"She devoted her whole life to the kids only, she never cares for herself"
"She surely has our support but do you think she'll ever ask for anything?"
I look up at him shockingly, he said right YN has no one to rely on, although she has Grandma and Dad to help her but as far as I know, she never shares her problems with anyone, she would rather hurt herself in silence than ask for help from anyone...Bringing me out of my imagination, Dad patted my head and said,
"Just give a chance to this relationship for once"
"Spend some time alone with her, forgetting about the kids, Sunmi and us, just you and her"
"I'm sure after spending some time with her you can conclude the best"
After hearing those words I got an idea of what I had to do now, I smiled at Dad and spoke,
"Thank you so much, Dad"
He smiled and patted my back, after greeting him the good night I came back to my room. I sighed and sit on the bed, it was going to be a little complicated but I have already decided how to make everything right, first I need to plan how to keep YN stable and how to work out the things between us, I pick up my laptop and start doing some research online about her health condition.
TIME SKIP
I sighed as I parked the car in front of the hospital, all night I surprisingly peacefully talked with Sunmi and fortunately she agreed, I know this is going to be hard for her as she is already much attached to me but I have to make all of this workout.
I thought about YN and me and tried to give our relationship a chance, I know I'll hurt Sumi but I can't leave my kids too. In the morning after dropping Yuri at school I came here next, after yesterday's incident I'm not sure if YN will be ready to meet me or not, but I'll try my best.
Holding a paper bag I entered the room and found YN and Jungkook were having breakfast peacefully, as they both look at me they both paused, I smiled nervously and speak,
"Hi, you both continue, don't mind me"
I silently sat on the couch behind Jungkook, there was an awkward silence in the room. Soon both of them finished their food, and Jungkook stood up collecting the disposable cutlery, he cleared his throat and spoke,
"I'll leave now"
After giving me a last nod he left both of us alone, since I came here YN didn't even glance at me I know she was mad at me but I had to talk to her to make things better. I cleared my throat and sit on the stool beside her bed, she was fidgeting her fingers, I put the paper bag in front of her and said,
"I asked Aunt Wang to pack some of your clothes, if you want you can change"
She took the paper bag and went to the washroom to change her clothes while I nervously sat there waiting for her to come back.
YN'S POV
Last night when Jimin yelled at me, I realized I was being selfish, I cursed myself not to think about my baby, how could I forget about Eunwoo, I felt too guilty but Jungkook accompanied me through the night, Jimin also joined us after his shift gets over.
We all talked, not about my or Eunwoo's condition but about us, the three of us, how we met, the best memories we spent together, and how they handled my mood swings during my pregnancy, we all laughed and had fun, it really helped me to forget my problems for some time.
Me and Jungkook took a short nap while Jimin went back to his morning shift early in the morning. When I woke up Jungkook bought us breakfast from the hospital's canteen to be honest it was not tasty at all but something is better than nothing so we ate that food.
While we were having breakfast peacefully suddenly out of nowhere Taehyung appeared, I didn't expect him to come but he did. I was a little mad at him and sorry too for yelling at him, Jungkook sensed the tension in the room, he ate his breakfast quickly and escaped from there, what a friend he is!
I didn't glance at him even a bit, and to my surprise, he himself initiated the talk and handed me some of my clothes that he bought from home for which I'm thankful to him. After washing up I change into the formal, took a deep breath, and headed outside, he immediately stood up and came in front of me, after clearing his throat he asked,
"Can we talk?"
I shockingly look up at him, he was nervous which is making me nervous too somehow, I just nodded my head, agreeing with him. He immediately smiled, a boxy smile making me feel something unknown inside me, but it was good. After picking up our stuff we head outside, as we were going to the reception to pay the bills Eun-woo's doctor came into our sight, he bowed to me I remembered that he wanted to talk to me about Eun-woo, I bowed back to him followed by Taehyung, he smiled and asked,
"Are you free now?"
I look up at Taehyung asking if it was okay, and he nodded, I look back at the doctor and spoke,
"Yeah"
He smiled and took us to his office, I never had any good experience here, coming here means something bad is gonna happen. Taehyung seems to sense my nervousness he patted my back and we entered into his office, my eyes widened a little due to surprise as I saw Rose, Jimin's girlfriend sitting on the doctor's chair. Her expression was similar to mine, she immediately stood up and while smiling brightly she bowed to us, I bowed back still in a little shock what's she doing here?
The doctor sat on the patient's seat on the right side of Rose while I and Taehyung sat across her, the doctor spoke,
"Mrs.Kim, meet Dr.Rose"
I bowed again to her, and she smiled and spoke,
"We already knew each other"
I nodded while looking at the doctor, he chuckled and explained,
"Mrs.Kim, I got retired a week ago so from now on Dr.Rose will take over Eun-woo's case"
"You don't need to worry about her skills, she completed her studies in Australia"
"And she's the best here"
Rose respectfully to her senior while I nodded, the doctor stood up and spoke to Rose,
"I'll hand over them to you now"
She bowed to him and they both said their goodbyes, Rose look back at us and spoke,
"I already studied Eun-woo's case"
"And as the doctor said we need umbilical's blood to save him"
We both nodded, I don't know why but I was feeling too nervous being here, I was continuously tapping my feet without my knowing. Out of nowhere, I feel a hand over mine, I look back at its owner and saw Taehyung giving me an encouraging smile, something is wrong with him, I focus back at Rose, she cleared her throat and asked,
"So is there any good news yet?"
I very well know what she meant by 'good news, I shook my head in denial, and her eyes widened, she curiously look over Taehyung then at and spoke,
"We don't have much time for Eun-woo, Unnie"
"The doctor must give you a year's time"
I nodded, she look at Taehyung and continued,
"But he forgets to tell you that as the days will pass his condition will get worse"
"He can easily get ill often and the chances of his well-being will start to decrease day by day"
My heart was beating at a really dangerously fast speed, I took a deep breath and out of anxiousness squeezed Taehyung's hand, he rubbed his thumb over the back of my hand and spoke,
"We'll try as soon as possible"
Rose nodded and spoke,
"That's all I wanted to warn you about"
We both nodded and after bidding our goodbyes to her, Taehyung basically carried me out of there, I just felt so numb after hearing her words. I need to hurry, I can't see my baby suffer because of me, I need to do something before it gets too late, I can't let anything happen to my baby, I need to save him anyhow... I look over at Taehyung who is currently paying my hospital bill, after paying the bills he looks over me but seems to notice My panic state, he holds my shoulders and spoke,
"We'll work this out together"
"Nothing bad is gonna happen"
"I promise you"
"Eun-woo will become healthy"
As I just wanted to hear those words unwillingly a lone tear escaped from my eyes, he smiled and wipe out the tear away, I can't be more thankful to him right now...
