Prince Caspian's POV
As I was looking toward the Isle I couldn't help but wonder what was happening over there? They're our people too. Shouldn't we be taking care of them. Given that the people on the isle have done bad things I understand my father just wanting to protect us but some of the villains need a redemption. What about the innocent kids on the island? They may not be anything like their parents but they are locked away and casted aside. What if those kids are being abused and no one is helping them?
"And that is why I am proposing bringing the children of the lost to Auradon" I said as I finished presenting my idea to my family. Although the look they were giving me was between shock and rage.
"Absolutely not." My father said " The villains were locked up for a reason and that reason being is that they are evil"
"Father I'm not proposing to bring the villains over. I'm just proposing their children."
"So they can what? Kill us just like their parents tired to?" My younger brother Chad asked.
Chadrick , or Chad as he likes to be called, was a 5'8 blond. He loved to dress in the most Luxurious clothes to show off his status in the community. He has been trying to take my place as heir to the throne since we were kids. He is only a year younger (15 years old) but believes everyone should bow down to him. His attitude has ruined his public reputation and caused the people to turn their noses when they see him. I would rather not slander his name but he is said to be an annoying brat who knows has two brain cells in the tabloids.
"No we are giving them the chance to be different from their family." I stated slightly annoyed he had an input when the only thoughts he's ever had was either about being King or Adriana (Adam and Belle's oldest daughter) "Haven't y'all looked out the window and stared at the isle wondering what is happening to those kids? Are they getting abused or are they getting loved? Do they have anyone to care for them?"
"No! It's what the deserve- OW Mom" Chad said with anger before mother slapped him on the back of his head.
"I think it's a wonderful idea mon chéri. Who are you planning to bring?" My mother asked in her sweet voice.
"Mon amour you can't be serious. Think of what they could be teaching those children. They could training them to take over." My father said with a softer voice since he knows he can't raise his voice at our mother.
"I agree with grand frère and maman" my little sister Elena said. " The kids have done nothing wrong and should be given the chance to go to school with us. I would love to make new friends, papa"
One thing about the 5'4 brunette is that she knew she had father wrapped around her finger. He would do anything to please his baby girl. Although sometimes he would get in trouble with mother because it was something she already said no to. Elena was never the outgoing sibling she was more like me in more ways than I could see but I would always protect her no matter what. She is only 13 for heavens sake. She was in the shadows more because she loved observing people. She knew her way around things and was loved by the public. Of course some people talked down about her but that was only because she was a young lady. My sister is my pride and joy and I know my parents are very proud that she is nowhere near as bad as Chad.
"But trèsor.." father tried
"No buts papa. You promised Cas 1 proclamation a year until he is able to take over the throne and since is a couple years away you have to deal with the proclamations and guide him to making the right decisions for the kingdom" she said with a stern tone.
"Are we really going to listen to this bra- OW mom stop doing that" Chad said as Mother slapped him yet again.
"Then stop making me do it." Mother huffed then smiled as she turned back to me. "Your sister is right. I full heartedly believe these kids deserve a chance. I mean I gave your Aunt Anastasia a chance so why can't others get a chance. Especially the ones who had no roles in it."
Ah yes Aunt Anastasia is one of my mother's stepsisters. Although she was given a second chance she still feels guilty and apologizes every time she sees us. Which is every Friday for family dinner. She got her second chance after falling in love with a baker named Robert and running away together after her mother forbid her from seeing him. They have a son together named Graham who is the same age as Elena. They became best friends over the years and call each other everyday. Graham was named after Graham crackers because Robert made Anastasia her first s'more on their first date and it became Anastasia's favorite desert.
Now you may be wondering about the other sister and their mother. Well they're both on the isle. My mother out of the kindness of her heart had tried to persuade them to turn a new leaf and stay in Auradon under our protection but Lady Tremaine just kept saying it's up the fates. My mother taught us not to hate them because some things were out of their control. I never understood that but I never questioned her either.
"Now tell us which children are you bringing?" My mother continued.
"I plan to bring the children that are in my age group so that they can finish their studies at Auradon Prep. Then if this plan is successful I plan to bring the younger students most likely Elena's age to start their higher level classes with us in my last year."
"That sounds like a good enough plan but you didn't answer your mother's question. Who exactly are you bringing?" my father said with a slight grimace
I grabbed the names that had the children's names and their parents.
"Harry Hook the son of Captain Hook" I look up to see them not shocked but neutral and happy looks and of course anger from Chad.
"Gil son of Gaston
Carlos son of Cruella De Ville
Cynthia daughter of the Queen of Hearts
Evie daughter of the Evil Queen
Jay son of Jafar
Uma daughter of Ursula
Mal daughter of Maleficient"
Gasp rang out in the room when they heard the last two names but I had to finish it so I ignored them
" and lastly Penelope granddaughter of Lady Tremaine"
"No absolutely not. I was fine with a couple but you just named an entire army of kids not to mention Uma and Mal but you had to bring Penelope too?" My father yelled
"Yes because none of those kids deserve to be there."
"You think separating them from their family is going to make them even happier?" He continues
"Given the conditions over there I do." He was about to speak until I continued. " you don't think I haven't seen the way it is over there? I had a trusty person go over there and report back on the conditions. I even went over there with backup in hope of it not being true. What I saw was appalling. There were kids sleeping on the street with just blankets. They were wearing old tattered clothes and eating moldy bread. I saw a couple of kids trying to steal food in order for them to eat. I saw men roughly grabbing and beating kids in order to stop them from stealing food from their stands. Are you happy with these conditions Father? Can you really look me in the eye and tell me that these kids deserve this?"
There were no words that left his mouth. Everyone except Chad had a shocked look on their face. I can see them changing their looks from shock to disgust to anger once I showed them the pictures.
"I am sorry mon fils. I had no idea." Father said as he put his head down in shame.
"I know father but as future King it is my job to change some things and this will be the start. I know I won't be king until you decide but it is still in my right to bring upon this proclamation."
"Good job miel! You are proving that you will be a great King one day." My mother said as she got up and kissed my cheek before walking out of the room.
"Well I for one am extremely excited for these new students coming and I can't wait for the second part of your plan so I can have more friends my age. Other than Graham of course."my sister said as she hugged me then went to follow our mother.
"I am glad you opened my eyes and will back you up on this plan, fils." Father said as he walked out the door.
I turned to Chad when I heard him slowly clap.
"Great job, Brother. Although this plan is probably going to turn into shit." He paused thinking for a second. "Thinking about it now, this might be the best thing you've ever done. The public will hate you. Then the plan will fail and they will be sent back. Then mom and dad will be so disappointed and angry at you that they will have to make me the heir to the throne. Then I will marry Adri"
I looked at him as if I was ready to murder him.
"Let me knock some actual knowledge into your idiotic brain. This plan won't fail and even if it did Mother and Father would never accept you being on the throne. Father would probably hand it to Ben over you. So don't get your hopes up. Lastly Adriana would only marry you to be Queen. She never and will never like nor love you." I said as I pushed him to ground with one of my hands. It might have been harsh but he was annoying me.
"You're just jealous that I'm our parents and Afro's favorite." He said from the ground
I laughed as I walked out of the room with a slight smile on my face.
"I did it" I muttered to my self.
