After playing with Yuri, Yn got tired and laid down beside us, she was sweating too much while Eun-woo start showing off his gaming skills to Yuri. I laughed at his proud cute little expression and look over at Yn, her eyes were closed while her face was looking as calm as water, my eyes traveled to her stomach, her top was riding up a little showing her blue skin, it look like a bruise, what happened to her? I frowned and asked,
"What's wrong with your stomach?"
She immediately shot her eyes open, covered her stomach, and look at me nervously, I raised my brows asking for an explanation but she simply sat up and spoke,
"Let's head back home, it's late"
I look over at her nervous figure as she ignored my question, she hurriedly packed all the stuff and picked Eun-woo in her embrace, and rushed towards the car. I was confused by her actions, what is she hiding from me? who's hurting her? I need to figure it out...I picked up Yuri and the remaining stuff and headed toward the car too. For the whole ride, she kept Eun-woo in her embrace and didn't speak a word not even to the kids while kids enjoyed the whole ride by themselves.
By the time we reached home both Eun-woo and Yuri were asleep but Yn was still in her panic state, which was confusing me so much, I need to talk to her. I pulled Eun-woo from her embrace and took Yuri in my other arm, she look at me confusingly. I ignored her confused expression and headed towards the kid's room, after putting them comfortably in the bed I head back into my room and saw Yn working on her laptop while sitting on the couch.
I shut her laptop and took a seat beside her, she look at me shockingly and scoot away immediately, I want to know what happened to her and who did this to her, I look at her and ordered,
"Show me your stomach"
Her eyes widened, she gulped nervously, broke our eye contact immediately, and after a moment spoke,
"You have a girlfriend Mr. Kim I don't think it's appropriate for you to do this"
"You are my wife"
Her eyes widened more and she froze, I know I don't have any right to call her my wife but she won't tell me about her problems until I look into them myself so I decided to play it like this. I consider her my good friend and she is the mother of my kids, I don't want her to get hurt or suffer alone but she is testing my patience already, she cleared her throat and spoke,
"It's nothing serious..., you don't need to worry about anything"
"I don't care whether it's serious or not"
"But-"
Unfortunately, her phone rang in between, and she immediately answered the call escaping from the situation,
"I'm on my way, I'll be there in 15 minutes"
She hung up the call and hurriedly stood up looking at me, she nervously took a breath and spoke,
"I have to go, I might get late"
I nodded and without waiting for my further response she rushed outside. I sighed heavily as she left, and soon my phone to lit up as Sunmi video-called me, I smiled and picked up the call...
"Hello babe"
"Hello, what are you doing?"
"Just had dinner, what about you?"
I sighed and rested my back on the couch, I replied,
"Nothing much"
"What happened? Are you okay?"
"Yeah"
"Okay tell me about your day"
I smiled and replied,
"I went out with kids today"
"Cool...and Yn?"
I sighed and told her,
"Yeah she was with us too"
"Okay..."
She replied almost sadly, i bite my lower lip and explained,
"Kids don't go anywhere without her that's why"
"Yeah i got it"
...
I rushed towards the car and immediately locked it as I secured myself in the driver's seat. My breathing was a little uneven, a gulped down some water and get relaxed, it was too close, he was about to get to know about something which I prefer to hide from everyone. I sighed and drove towards Jimin's house, as he warned me just minutes ago to meet him.
Soon after almost 20 minutes I parked my car in his garage and knocked at his door nervously, he opened the door immediately shooting a glare at me. I smiled nervously and spoke,
"See I'm here today as I promised"
"Oh it's my pleasure that you came Mrs. Kim"
He said sarcastically and without saying anything further he heads inside, I sighed in relief and followed him inside the house. As I entered the living room I saw Jungkook and two girls giggling over something, I frowned and whispered to Jimin,
"Who are they?"
Jimin rolled his eyes and announced,
"Guys, Yn is here introduce yourself, I'll be back in a minute"
With that he went upstairs, I look back and saw Jungkook walking over to me, he holds me by my shoulders and make me seated on the couch. He smiled and side-hugged a girl and spoke,
"Yn meet Lisa, my girlfriend"
My eyes widened, I look at him in disbelief and was about to throw a pillow at him but he hold my arms and explained,
"We got together a week ago only and you were busy"
"I swear I didn't mean to hide it from you"
I rolled my eyes and pulled back my hands from his grip, I look over at his girlfriend, honestly, she was beautiful and just his type. She looks the same height as him, and she's even matching with his bossy vibe, I smiled at her and spoke,
"Hi I'm Yn, his noona"
She bowed to me and while smiling spoke,
"Hi I'm Lisa, it's nice to meet you"
I smiled and turn around to see Jimin side hugging the other girl, I raised my brows and look over at the girl, she looks cute, to be honest, her hair was blonde just like Jimin and both were looking like the perfect couple, the girl chuckled and greeted me,
"Hi I'm Rosé"
"She's my fiance"
My eyes widened he blushed and continued,
"A month ago our parents arranged for us together"
"A month ago?"
I asked in disbelief and he nodded, I exchange a look with Jungkook and Jimin, I sighed and spoke,
"Congratulations to all of you, but I'm still mad at you both for hiding things from me"
I pointed at the boys both of their girlfriends laughed, I smiled and spoke,
"Okay since you got your girlfriends I'll leave first"
"What about your therapy Mrs. Kim?"
"Seriously instead of spending time with your girlfriend, you'll take my therapy session"
"But-"
"No buts I'll visit on your working days some other time"
"Now both of you kindly stop disturbing me and instead focus on your girlfriends"
Both Jungkook and Jimin look at me in disbelief, I chuckled and while standing I speak,
"I gotta go see you another time"
Without waiting for their response I head towards my car and my phone dinged, I look over the notification,
'Honey, can you come over?~'
I sighed and drove to a known house immediately.
I clutched my coat tighter around my body as stood in front of the house I never want to enter, I sighed and with almost shaky hands knock on the door and soon the door opened revealing my biological mom, she smiled and spoke,
"I'm glad you came"
I nodded emotionlessly and followed her inside, she removed my blazer and hang it on the side wall, I changed my slippers and entered the dining area. My blood boiled due to anger, I clenched my jaw and fisted my palms tightly almost digging my nails in my flesh, as the person I hate the most, the person who destroyed my life, the person who have control over my life was sitting in front of me, Saya, my step-sister, she smirked and walked towards me. She knows I hate her, she knows I've to follow her every command, she knows I want to kill her right here for that but she also knows that I can't do anything.
She innocently blinked her eyes and while hugging me tightly she chirped,
"Hello unnie"
I closed my eyes taking a deep breath I hummed. She broke the hug and hold me by my shoulders, she look at me and spoke,
"You look pale"
I tried my best to control my anger and thought not to reply but she had other plans,
"I listened about Eun-woo's condition"
"Is he going to die?"
Hearing those words I lost it, I yelled at her,
"Dare to repeat those words again"
She raised her brows surprised by my behavior, she hates when I talk to her in this tone, but she stayed calm and spoke,
"What about your dear husband?"
"Did he say no to help you?"
I stayed silent as I don't want to burst out, I kept taking deep breaths and counting 10 to 1 backward as Jimin taught me that it'll help me to control my emotions. She chuckled and continued,
"Obviously no, his girlfriend is far better than you anyway"
"She has everything that you don't"
"The most precious thing, your husband..."
I would hate to admit that but those words felt like someone stabbed my heart, I inhaled sharply as she leaned towards my ear and whispered,
"That means only one thing that he won't help you"
"And you know that will lead to what"
I lost it, I slapped her on her right cheek, and she shockingly look over me with her wide eyes obviously fuming in anger but she hit on my nerve, I pointed to her and warned her,
"One more word about my son and I'll forget who you are"
And that was all, I received a hard slap on my face from none other than Sun-woo, my stepfather, he fisted my hair painfully tight and yelled,
"How dare you"
I closed my eyes ready to face whatever is going to happen, I clutched the hem of my blazer tightly and focus on my breathing. He slapped me again but this time harder than last time, and again and again...I lost count, he kicked in my stomach knocking the air out of my lungs. I heard Mom rushing toward him trying to stop him but he continued to kick my stomach, I crouched holding my probably broken, but he didn't budge, he kicked hardly on my head making me feel dizzy immediately and my body felt numb, I stop saving myself from that beast, I lay lifelessly on the floor not wanting to even breathe.
I heard Sun-woo and Sara leaving from there, Mom kneeled beside me and cupped my face trying to wake me up, I opened my eyes after trying my best and saw her worried face, she was crying, I just want to get out of here. She helped me to sit properly, with a sorry face she look over me and mumbled,
"I'm sorry for whatever she said to you"
I chuckled mockingly and told her,
"Taehyung is back"
"And I'll save my baby"
She shockingly looks over me, I exhaled heavily and stood up by myself, she also stood up beside me and was about to hold me by my arm but I stopped her by saying,
"Don't"
She immediately pull her hand back and followed me outside, I wear my coat and my sandals back, I turned towards her and handed her the envelope kept in my blazer, I look at her and spoke,
"From next month I'll start to transfer money to your account directly"
"But-"
"Good night, I'll leave first"
Saying that I entered in my car and drove to a nearby Pharmacy to bring some painkillers and bandages as my body is paining so badly. After buying stuff I treated my wounds in the car myself, it was so difficult to do so with all wounds and unbearable headache, it took me almost half an hour. I sighed and rested my head back on the seat feeling exhausted, I glance at the time it was 3 in the morning, hopefully, everyone must be sleeping now back in the mansion, I don't want anyone to see my vulnerable side...
