Spring engulfs me
in sweet, sanguine solitude,
a sign to my heart
that hopes may be renewed,
and that the time has
finally come to
nurture the dreams that
had been lost,
now that fears
have melted away
like winter's last, lingering frost,
and in this season
of renewal,
potential is fresh in my mind,
and the chance to resurrect
aspirations left behind.
