"This is the last letter I am writing to you. I have warned you time and again, I went as far as to warn your friend too. I tried being your well-wisher, your guardian angel. Learn the truth- that's all I asked for. That would've put things from past at rest, but what did you do? You were so caught up in your revenge that you became blind, denying all the truth that laid right in front of you.
I am not you enemy, I desparately wanted you to win, I wanted you to have your clarity but alas. I left one last hint in this box for you, use it well. It might be your last chance.
I've always been in charge of the game that you started, I saw each move you made but they were always the wrong ones. And I gave you enough time, enough clues but not anymore. It's finally time to put an end to this game. But don't worry I have a good climax planned for you
Time is ticking, LITTLE ANGEL, tick tock tick tock. You have less than 24 hours"
Jisoo reads the letter thoroughly again and again. She has underestimated this person way too much, what does this person mean?
"I am dreaming right?" she says and pinches her again and again. She can feel her nightmare come true. Less than 24 hours, what will happen after that? What lies ahead?
She rummages through the box trying to figure it out
All these are basically proof of Jisoo's motive. But she finds a paper that is well sealed. Her guts tell her that this is what the letter was talking about: the last hint. She opens it in shaky hands and there are a few papers folded neatly in there. She opens the first one, this seems like a will of some sort. The one who it belongs to is Irene's Father. She reads it thoroughly, and to her surprise Irene is not the sole heir of her father's properties, there is another name- Jag-eun-Cheonsa
And to her surprise, this Jag-eun has more heirship to their father's properties than even Irene, the entire estate is willed after this person.
"This is it, I have to find this person out, I am pretty sure it is someone he betrayed just like my mother or maybe another mistress. This Jag-eun is my ace" she finally figures it out
She then looks at an envelope, this was written back in 90s to---to her mother. From Paris. She hurridly opens it but to her surprise the envelope is empty. Someone took the letter out. Who wrote to her mother? But this contradicts everything, her mother wrote in her letter that no one ever replied to her letters, but this is one of the replies.. Jisoo's mind gets puzzled, is it Jag-eun? There is no name on it, just a bunch of addresses. She angrily throws the envelope on the floor. There is one last piece of paper left, she opens it, it is a picture. Jisoo can recognize two faces there, her mother and father. But there is another woman in there, very young, a cheerleader. Her father is wearing a baseball jersey and he is holding--- he is holding the waist of the woman standing next to her mother.
She has always thought that her parents were college sweethearts but in this picture, her mother is standing beside the mystery women, smiling brightly as her father is looking at the cheerleader..
But then Jisoo remembers the picture she saw back in korea, in her mother's photoframe. The outfits resemble very close to the one they are wearing here. Her mother treasered that couple picture enough for it to be hidden on the frame, it was just the two of them smiling and looking happy. That picture was torn and worn out but still that is the only one her mother kept, just like she wanted to keep her father.
Jisoo hates looking at these pictures, they remind her of how much her mother suffered, and this new woman and this new picture. This for sure has something to do with Jag-eun.
She folds it back up and closes the box, she needs to hide it well. No one can see it ever
Jisoo comes out after hiding the box well in the room, she'll burn it later, when taehyung is not here. As she opens the door of the room, and she can feel the pain in her legs all over again. She cannot even take a singe step
She sits right there on the floor and groans out loud. Taehyung finally comes out of the room, rubbing his eyes and without a t-shirt on
Jisoo looks at him and she gets paranoid
"DID he send the box?" she says "No way. There is no way that taehyung knows the truth. It doesn't make sense. In fact her guts tell her that out of evryone taehyung is the only one she can trust"
But isn't the timing a bit funny? The box arrives exactly when he was sleeping and now that she has finally read it, he wakes up. Was he awake all this time?
"Jisoo-- what happened?" Taehyung runs to her seeing all the blood
"I broke a glass and stepped on it" she replies unable to stand up
"Are you kidding me? Why didn't you call me?" he says and kneels down to check her feet
"You were sleeping and I didn't want to disturb you" Jisoo pouts
Taehyung immediately pick her up in his lap and this makes Jisoo blush..
"I can walk" she says
"Yeah sure. Just tell me that you wanted to get in my lap" Taehyung says jokingly as he walked towards the couch
"haha very funny, that is the last thing I wanted" Jisoo replies knowing that she is lying through her teeth
"Well that's sad because so many girls would die to be in my lap" he says and places her on the couch
"You're thinking about other girls now?" Jisoo replies being jealous
"I've been thinking about a single girl for the past few months and that is enough, one is enough" Taehyung replies
She again blushes at this, he is so good with his words.
"I'll bring the first aid box, how can you be so careless? It must hurt like crazy, from now on you are not allowed to go to the kitchen. I'll hire someone who'll do your job for you" he says while coming back with first aid
"It's fine I was just distracted"
"wih what?"
"No---nothing. I had a nightmare so it messed with my brain. It was just an accident" she replies
Taehyung looks at her "Nightmare? Regarding what?" he asks
"Umm--- I don't remember anymore" Jisoo tries to cover up
"Next time you have a nightmare or any bit of inconvenience, just reach out to me, it doesn't matter if I am sleeping or if I am busy, I'll always be free for you" he says while taking the pieces of glass off
Jisoo screams in agony while he does so. But this pain is nothing compared to what she felt in her dreams. She doesn't want this man to find the truth out, she doesn't want him to ever know about her truth
"Did you speak with your dad?" Jisoo asks as taehyung is busy treating her legs
"No, i didn't. He left me some messages asking to meet up with me. I am just not ready, how will I face him? I just destroyed what he built for ages and I don't think that the guilt will let me go in front of him again"
"It was not your fault babe . It was Irene's. And Sehun's company won with your idea, that alone is enough proof that your idea was brilliant, so much so that she stole it for Sehun. You should be proud" Jisoo says
"How do you see positivity in eeverything?" Taehyung asks her
"That's just me.. Umm I had one question" Jisoo says
"yeah?"
"What are you doing to do about Irene? i mean as far as I know her family still wants the two of you to be together" Jisoo says
"Nothing. I am going to meet up with her father today and cut ties with their company formally. I don't think that I can still keep the partnership going with what his daughter did to my company. I can sue them but I am choosing not to do so for the sake of previous engagements but I am going to cut ties once and for all" he replies
"Will Irene be there too when you do so?" Jisoo asks
"Yes, she has to. She needs to take accountablity of her actions in front of her father" Taehyung replies
"Then I want to go too" Jisoo replies.
"huh? Why? What are you going to do there?" Taeyung smiles at Jisoo's sudden wish
"If I ask you for something will you give it to me?" Jisoo says nevously
"anything for you. What do you want?" he replies
"I want you to take me with you and lay things out in the open. That you love me and not their daughter, I want you to claim me in front of her and her family, I want you to draw the lines clear between you and her and I want it done in front of everyone, her family and yours" Jisoo says
Taehyung finishes dressing her up and after hearing what she just said, he closes the first aid box and sits beside her. He takes her hands and lightly squeezes them as a sign of reassurance
"I know I didn't treat you nice all these time and I know you want everyone to know what you mean to me and trust me after things cool down a bit, I'll make sure to let the entire world know that you are the one that my heart belongs to. But today, I don't know if that is a good idea. Irene is very fragile and yesterday was a huge blow to her, as much as I hate it, she is still someone I know since childhood and it'll be too cruel of me to take you to her house" he says
"That is exactly what I want. These cruel people deserve every bit of it" Jisoo says to herself
"I know what you're saying but please see from my perspective too. You are going to a house where everyone wants you to be with her and not me. And taking me there might hurt her but it is for the better. isn't it better to draw the lines clear out in front of everyone than leaving things on a hazy note?" Jisoo says
"And I can have a heart to heart conversation with Irene too. maybe I can make her realize the reality that Iwant nothing but her happiness. Please take me with you" Jisoo replies
"You are one stubborn fiance" Taehyung replies
Jisoo does a cute puppy eye gesture at him and he melts
"Woman you have no idea what you're doing to me. I can jump off a cliff if you tell me, that's the amount of control you have over me. Fine, I'll take you with me" taehyung sreplies
Jisoo squeeks like a little kid or she pretends to becase she can not show how nervous and scared she is. Taehyung leans in to kiss her lips, he has been resisting the urge to do so since he woke up
"I'll let no one hurt you. I am your fiance, your lover, your friend and your guardian angel"
Jisoo smiles nervously and her hand freezes at the last word: Guardian Angel. Is she becoming way too paranoid or is she kissing her killer?
Jisoo will go to her father's house, for the first time. She needs to hurry and feels that she'll get more clarity about Jag-eun over there. At least she has to start somewhere.. Clarity, that is all she needs right now
But clarity is not always in your favour, clarity is just the truth and truth is always bitter
