~Witch's territory~

~Nancy's POV~

It's been a while since I was escorted back to the cell I've been locked in the past couple of days. The dripping sounds of water from the ceilings drowned in my thoughts.

My life flashes before my eyes as I try to make sense of the past couple of days.

Why couldn't the witches see what I am?

Why do they say I'm not human?

Why do my masters keep acting weird?

Why do I keep hearing those voices?

I pace up and down the room trying to find an answer. After a while, I get tired and seat down in the warmest corner of the room; away from all the water puddles. I feel my eyes droop, but I struggle to keep them open. Somehow, sleeping right now doesn't feel right. It's like someone's watching me

I look around the room, trying to see if there's anyone else with me but the little light in the room isn't doing me any good.

Suddenly, I see a shadow run swiftly across the room and I seat up a bit, straining my eyes to see in the dark. Nothing happened for a while, so I relax and decide some sleep would be good after all. I lay down with my back pressed against the wall for comfort and curl myself up into a ball. A few minutes pass and nothing happens, so I close my eyes and allow my mind to travel wherever it pleases.

A creaking sound comes from the door and I seat up, expecting to find one of the sisters. What I find, however, shocked the freak out of me.

Three tall figures walk into the room, right through the freaking door!

Oh! And how did I see this in the dark room, you ask?

Well, there's suddenly, out of nowhere, a light bulb suspended mid-air in the middle of the room.

"Hello, Nancy."  One of the creatures says as they come dangerously close to me.

And how exactly do they know my name?

They finally stop moving when they get about six feet from me. I take a scrutinizing look at their faces as I shake in fear.
They look like horror and nightmare.

One of them is a beautiful female-looking creature with three horns growing on her head. She has an eye of a snake and the aura of a vampire. Her long black hair; matching that of the other two, flows all the way to the ground. She has claws on her fingers and hooves as feet. She is clad in a straight white dress, stopping just after her knees.

The second is a hideous female-looking creature with just one horn on her head. She has just an eye that is in the middle of her head. Two tiny holes are in place of her nose and her lips look dry and crusty. Her skin is like that of a snake and her cloth are all torn and tattered, with patches here and there. Her hands are replaced by tentacles and her feet by paws.

The third however is a male-looking creature. His lower face is covered by a piece of clothing tied behind his head. However, he has a pair of red eyes that glows and a well-toned body. He is clad in what looks like a warrior's uniform, but he has fingers in place of toes and toes in place of fingers.

"Who are you?" I manage to ask as my teeth clatters in fear and goosebumps spread across my arms.

"You question the wrong things, Nancy." The ugly one says.

"How did you get in here?" I swallow as the goosebumps travel down my back.

"Melania let us in," the ugly one replies again.

"You've been naughty and we were asked to teach you a lesson."  The male creature says in a surprisingly squicky voice.

I swallow as I glance calculatedly around the room, trying to figure out how to get out of this. Seeing a space between their legs, I decided to try to get across the room. Crossing my fingers as I glance at the creatures, sweat runs down my back and I suddenly realize that it's getting hot in here, like really hot.

"What..."

"Shhh... you'll only make things worse, Nancy. You don't want that, now. Do you?"  The beautiful one says as she flips her hair over her shoulder.

I whimper as the room gets hotter. The ugly one draws out a knife and takes slowed but steady steps toward me and I panic even more. I decide to take the risk of sliding through the space between their legs. Taking a deep breath, I bite my lips hard as I kneel up as cautiously as possible. When she gets about three feet from me, I dash right through the space and straight to the center of the room, right under the light.

If this is anything like my nightmares, they shouldn't be able to get me if I remain under the light.

"You shouldn't have done that, Nancy."  The male-looking creature growled out in pure rage.

The temperature of the room gets higher and higher and I feel my knees buckle beneath me.
Collapsing to the ground, my eyes glaze over and everything appears to be in a haze. Blinking rapidly in an attempt to clear my vision, I see one of the creatures approaching me slowly as the light begins to dim. I feel something sharp and cold pierce through my sides. Letting out a bloody scream, I grab my sides in a death grip as I feel my blood rush down my clothes.
The room gets even hotter and I scream and cry even louder, squeezing my eyes shut.

"Nancy,"

"No!" I yell as I gather my strength to move further to the other side of the room.

"Nancy!"

"Please," my breath becomes labored as I struggle to get oxygen into my system.

"Nancy, open your eyes damnit!"

That voice, I recognize that voice.

"Melania?" I ask as I pry my eyes open.

"Hey, it's me." My eyes adjust to the lighting in the room and the temperature goes down much to my relief.

Lyssa and Electra are standing over me and Melania is crouched down right next to me.

"We heard you scream. What happened?" Electra asked.

"I... I'm...I'm bleeding...I was stabbed...there was...there was three of them...and they, they were going to hurt me...and they got mad and they stabbed me and it was..." I look down at myself and see that I'm in fact not injured. A bruise here and there, but nothing serious like a stab wound.

"There was no one in here, Nancy. What do you mean you were stabbed? What are you talking about?" Lyssa asks looking skeptical.

"There were three of them. They were in here. I'm not lying, I was stabbed for God's sake! I was bleeding!" How can they not believe me?! Angry tears run down my cheeks.

"What did they look like?" Melania asks.

"One was pretty with three horns and she had hooves and long black hair and she wore a white dress and the other was ugly with one horn and one eye and tattered clothes and they both looked feminine. The third one was like a man, but he had prolonged black hair. They all had long black hair. He had red eyes, but I didn't see his face, because it was covered. He looked like a warrior." I rush out.

I look up to see the sisters exchange a look.

"Nancy," Melania calls out, looking down at me like she's scared I'll shatter at the slightest movement.
"You were hallucinating. Those were the Tricxies. They attack weak minds."

"What..."

"It's okay, you're okay." She coos.

The temperature in the room goes up again and I feel my skin burning up.

"I'm not okay." I whimper before passing out.

Just as usual, my nightmares and pain follow me even to my unconscious state and I'm back in that bright light all over again.

"Nancy!!!" A voice that has unfortunately become rather familiar calls out to me.

"Nancy, you're running out of time!"

Huh?

"Cursed is she until she knows..."

"Your mom is not happy, Nancy"

"You should do better!"

"Stop!" I yell out in pure frustration. The burning sensation goes down and the light surrounding me starts to turn dark and soon enough, it's pitch black around me. I try moving around to find that I can't move.

"Arggg..."

This is getting old and frustrating.

Who is my mom?

Why is she unhappy?

How come I have no memory of her?

How and why am I running out of time?

Who cursed until she knows?

Why do I keep getting these burns?

My train of thought is interrupted when I feel myself being to fall, like really fast. Bracing myself for the inevitable hit, I close my eyes tight and cross my fingers.

~Witch's Territory~

~Third Person's POV~

Lyssa, Electra, and Melania finally decide they've had enough. They were going to summon the one person who could give them answers...at a great cost, but answers nonetheless.

Teresa of Avila.

A powerful mystic, who is well known for asking for obnoxious prices. But by virtue of her competency, no one ever complains.
She is not one to bargain.
She sets the price and that's it.

After a series of spells, they are finally ready to summon her.

Dropping an earthen bowl to the ground, a portal cracks open slowly.
The wind picks aggressively and the sisters join hands as they begin chanting to get the portal bigger.

It's only a matter of time before the portal is fully open and a beautiful woman steps through.

"Teresa of Avila," Melania greets.

"Ancient ones," Teresa responds.

She is clothed in a beautiful sky-blue dress that drags along the ground. Around her neck are layers upon layers of jewelry; emerald, Jade, gold, and diamond. Her face shone with a sinister smile and she stood with authority and knowledge.

" Why do you summon me?"

"The creature in our custody. We want to know about her." Melania responds.

"What is she? Is she a threat?" Electra adds.

"State your price," Lyssa says.

"I will... In due time..." Teresa looks around as if scrutinizing the place.

"Then let's seal this" Melania picks up the earthen bowl and bring a knife out of it.
She cuts her palm open, squeezes her blood into the bowl, and passes it to the rest to do the same.

When the deal was sealed by blood, the earthen bowl is dropped back to the ground.

"To answer your questions. The creature you hold is not a threat, yet she's a threat. There's a prophecy...the prophecy of the sacred lot.

Buried deep in what she's not, you shall find the sacred lot. Can't be pushed to bring you luck, but with good measures, you will find pleasures.

This is the first half of the prophecy. It speaks about the creature you hold.
This is all I can tell you. But beware, for doom looks near."

With that, she walks through the portal. Melania picks up the earthen bowl and the portal closes.
