The soothing roar of the ocean fills your ears and the cool wind stings your skin. Leaning back, Steve's warm arms hold you close to his chest to keep you warm.
"I have never felt so at peace," Steve murmurs in your ear, placing a soft kiss on your temple.
You smile dreamily. "You could say that again."
Just then, Clint shrieks your name. Your eyes snap open right in time for a frisbee to be smacked away inches from your face.
"Really, Clint?" Steve barks, letting you go to pick up the frisbee.
"You're so getting it, Clinton!" Natasha cackles, looking up from her chair to watch.
Steve pulls back his arm, smirking, and swings his arm so fast all you see is a blur.
Clint's face visibly whites as Steve releases the frisbee.
"I'm gonna die!" He screams. Right when the frisbees about to hit his face, Clint drops into the sand clutching his heart. "Jesus, I saw the damn light. I thought I was a goner!"
Steve chuckles as he pulls you back into his arms. "Look, right in time for the sun set."
When you turn, Steve presses his lips against yours.
"God, I love you." Steve murmurs against your lips, making yours curve into a smile.
"You always know what to say, you know that right?"
