2 Months later
POV Kacy
Blood sat underneath my desk muzzle sitting on my shoes, snoring loudly, he had decided that I was his favorite person in the world he was glued to me 24/7.
I had way to much paperwork to go through I thought as I looked as the 3 large stacks, but I craved a break and some fresh air.
turning from my desk and the beast underneath I scooted my rolling chair with my feet across the room with squeak to Open my big window that overlooked the large backyard of the pack house, it was a sight alright, somehow Sam and Finn had convinced me to get finn a playground and not a small one either him and my father designed it together, he honestly needed it after his mother's funeral all the life had left him when she was put in the earth plus his feeling towards me I hadn't been very nice in the beginning, it felt like a bribe.
one I was all to willing to pay to earn the small hybrids affection, I couldn't help but be drawn to him, Sam was draw to him to. I could see her love for him.
I could hear Finn and Sam running around outside, she was chasing him into the tall treehouse like playhouse at the top of the playground, all our boys hot on there trail ghost leading the pack, all except blood who continued his nap under the desk.
with a stretch and a deep groan I peeled myself from my once comfortable chair to go play with my family, I love that word, I have a family.
"only till we find the boys father" gray huffed, he wasn't wrong but everytime I thought about letting Finn go, an unrecognizable pain ached in pit of my stomach.
"yes but for now he is ours" I had been arguing with Gray much more than usual, I'm guessing he wanted to keep us from getting our heart broken with his sour attitude, ignoring him was my best option.
if I hurried to the backyard I might be able to join in the game of chase, I kicked the desk as I passed waking blood from his deep sleep "you coming" I called to the wolf back over my shoulder who sprang quickly to his feet beating me out the door.
my office was on the second floor so too the right was the stairs and further down was Finn's room and in the two months we've had him he had grown a sizable collection of toys and books so much that they had started to leak into the hallway, it made the house look so lived in.
I spotted his favorite teddy and few plastic dinosaurs and started picking them up as I went, someone could trip and fall right down the steps I thought as I went to his room to deposit the trinkets in his big bookshelf slash toy box my father had built it for him his self.
blood had long left me to play with his brothers, finally making my way down the steps I heard sam's small light footfall coming into the living room from the back sliding glass door, I was about to call out to her when I stepped down right onto a stray roller skate.
the scream that I made as I feel the last 10 steps was very unique and not manly at all, I landed right on my ass bone and boy did that hurt.
Sam had heard me fall and she stood in front of me her eyes wide in shock at first then, she lost it and let out a snort followed by a laugh as she took in the sight of me.
"thanks I'm fine" I groaned attempting to stand, Samantha offered me her hand.
" I'm sorry I didn't mean to laugh" she had started fussing over me " yes you did little mouse" I grabbed her neck gently pushing her into the wall stealing a passion filled kiss that left her gasping, I couldn't help but be the one to laugh now.
"ew gross" I wipped my head to the side where finn and Liam now stood, I could feel sam's embarrassment through the bond.
"Finn what have I told you about leaving your toys on the steps" I said diverting the conversation, which calmed her down and made her look over at Finn.
"finnick go clean up your things now, Kacy could have been seriously hurt" she said with authority befitting her position.
"sorry Papa Kacy" Finn whispered as he made his way up the steps grabbing things as he went.
I know I couldn't keep the smile off my face " he called me Papa" I said to Grey who let out a small chuckle he liked it too.
I looked to Samantha who I had forgotten was pinned against the wall " oh sorry darling" I stepped back and Liam still stood there waiting.
" what can I do for you Liam"
"oh Alex said he need to see you and Luna, he's got important information" and with that my heart sank and the ache returned, Alexander had been away with lark looking for the rouges that most likely took Finn's real father.
POV Samantha
I could help but fret Alexander had found something and from the look in Kacy's and Liam's eyes it can't be good, the moment Liam's had told us of Alexander's return Kacy had used the mind link to speak to him is what I guess but now all the life that had been in his eyes earlier had dimmed, he loved Finn as his own now, he didn't what to be apart from him, but we had made him a deal.
so if we could get Finn back to his father we would no matter what.
the walk from the pack house to what Kacy calls the hub is beautiful, in Moon fairy there's no roads, but small gravel walking paths throughout the massive magical wooded city.
fruit trees and colorful flowers covered everything in sight the homes were more like stone and wood luxury cabins, it was peaceful and well protected, Kacy has over 400 loyal warriors at his beck and call. in all honesty if had all this too loose I would want to be feared by everyone outside these boarders. on second thought I did have all this to loose, I forget every no and again that I'm these peoples Luna.
the hub was a one story building that connected to the pack underground parking garage slash 40,000 square feet of high tech hospital and it was all right under our feet.
Alexander was sitting outside on a wooden bench when we walked up he had a cigarette sitting between his fingers and when he spotted up he took on last drag and put it out on his own palm, whick made me cringe but understood not wanting to put it out on the bench, Kacy's mother had and installed every bench in the city and she would have his ass if she saw the mark and believe me she would have.
her and her small group of she-wolves called the court of beauty were in charge of the grounds keeping and beautification of everything in sight, every park every fruit tree every flower even the extremely soft grass, in my first week in the pack I refused to wear shoes.
Liam was making a face of disgust at Alexander which just caused him to shake his head a chuckle at his mate, " it just one darling I promise" Alexander said in a deep voice grabbing ahold of liams chin and lifting his face to his giving him soft peck then snapped a bite at his nose, they literally gave zoero shits who was watching I'm pretty sure they just wento into there own world when they looked into each others eyes, there kind of love was one of a kind. I must have a weird look on my face because Kacy took my hand in his and squeezed it gently.
"excuse me love birds, I hate interrupt whatever this is but you said this was important" Kacy sounded impatient, but it didn't have it's usual edge he knew how much Liam had missed Alexander he had spent almost every day with me and Kacy's mom to keep his mind from it.
"yes alpha we do have very important information, we should go in" Alexander took Liam's hand and even held the door open for him to go before him, while Kacy just went inside almost leaving me outside, the door would have even have closed right on my face if a hand hadn't reached out to grab it from inside, " hey Sweetie I really missed you " lark was standing in the circular room with a big smile on his face, that when it hit me how much I missed him because tears threatened my eyes, I looked him up and down and ran right into his arms, he gave me the warmest hug.
"wheres Zoey?" I said looking around looking for the woman who I consider my mother.
"she stayed behind" he said not meeting my eyes, which made me confused and suspicious, it wasn't like her to let him go anywhere by himself especially this far.
"why? is she ok?" I questioned, and a smile finally split his face "she's been feeling pretty sick in the morning so she's sitting this trip out" and it clicked, "oh my Goddess!" I squealed causing everyone else in the room to flinch "how far along? did you know before we left?" I had so many questions I was going to be a big sister.
"haha, she 3 months but we didn't find out till a month ago" he sounded so proud, but then his expression changed and he looked down at me with a saddened expression, " but know Samantha you will always be out first child and we love you" I wanted to laugh but his words were so sweet I just gave him another hug. Kacy coughed to get outlr attention which kind of irritated me but I knew we had a job to do here.
"so what did you find out?" Kacy looked to Alexander waiting for his answer.
"yes alpha, um what we found isn't good" Alexander took a deep breath and continued "Finn's father is alive" he finally said, but that was good new wasn't it, but the look on lark and Alexander faces told me different.
"go on I can tell there's more your not saying" Kacy urged,
"he's alive but only because he's with them, he's joined the rouge's. not only that we found out that he offered up his wife and child to them, they wanted Finn but not only Finn they want Luna too" Kacy had gone deathly silent next to me and had taken on a sickly hue, turning to me slowly.
"what could they want with Samantha" Kacy said so low it was almost a whisper.
"well we found from the court of witches that Finn is the same as Sam, we were surprised with their cooperation and that they have nothing to do with the witches after them, they did say that they are expecting war very soon and that Sam and Finn are the very powerful beings would tip the tide in the undesirables war, tip it in there favor" when Alex had finished speaking, I could feel the fear in Kacy shoot down the bond not only for me but for Finn who was as good as our child now, after finding out his father had practically handed him to our enemies, no his father was our enemy.
it broke my heart he had tricked us all, he had sent poor Stacy to her death the man she loved betrayed her, he had to have known what I was too that must be how the rouge had found me in the park that night, a shiver ran up my spine and I felt sick.
"wheres Finn" I said softly latching onto Kacy to keep me upright.
"I'll get him" Liam barked and ran out the door,
Kacy had started to thaw besides me and I could feel him running his fingers up and down my back trying to sooth me, " everything will be okay Samantha I will protect you both, I will not let them have you" and in that moment I believed him whole hartedly.
