Meilin smiled as she gazed up at Qingcang from his lap, her joy radiating from within. 'You're a great friend, Pretty Eyes,' she thought, allowing herself to fall asleep on his lap, leaving him bewildered. 'In this world, romantic relationships with demons or even fairies are sinful and soul-destroying. Though we've kissed three times, accidents don't count. I should keep things friendly. This marriage is only for protection and public image if I'm ever found out.'

Qingcang, the mysterious being with long, flowing dark-brown hair, leaned forward, his keen eyes fixated on the delicate figure of the sweet human. Her slumbering form rested gently on his lap, her face nestled against his toned abdomen. The room was filled with a soft, warm glow, casting a halo of peace around them.

"Silly Little Human," Qingcang whispered in a voice as smooth as silk, his words carrying a tender tone. He watched her sleep with softened eyes, his gaze filled with protectiveness. The rise and fall of her chest, the faintest hint of a smile playing on her lips, intrigued his attention. "I'll kill the culprit for you," he vowed, his voice laced with determination, a solemn promise made in the moment's privacy. "And then, I'll kill all your enemies, so you'll never have to cry again."

Yet, as Qingcang's attention remained fixed on the peaceful scene before him, his senses sharpened, catching a glimpse of movement from the corner of his eye. He turned his gaze towards the window, where a panoramic view of Meilin's serene surroundings awaited. However, what he saw made his eyes widen. Vast amounts of dark energies swirled ominously in the night sky like a storm brewing. The air crackled with malice as the approaching force approached her home.

Qingcang's expression hardened, his lips curling into a disdainful sneer. "It's them again," he muttered, a tinge of irritation coloring his voice. The presence of these malevolent entities was an all-too-familiar nuisance. "If I use more than one percent of my power, her home will be destroyed," he remarked, his voice cautioned.

Understanding the fragility of their surroundings, Qingcang delicately supported Meilin's head, his strong yet gentle hands cradling her in his protective grasp. He carefully lowered her head onto a plush cushion, ensuring she remained undisturbed in her blissful slumber. The room's atmosphere was filled with urgency, ready to confront the impending threat.

.

"Kill that girl from the Moon Tribe!" the man exclaimed, his voice echoing through the grand chamber. His regal appearance was accentuated by the gleaming golden crown perched atop his head, symbolizing his authority and power.

Meilin, her curiosity piqued, gazed intently at the scene unfolding before her. Thoughts raced through her mind as she tried to make sense of the situation. 'Who are they referring to?' she wondered. 'And who is that evil man?'

Intrigued yet apprehensive, Meilin cautiously observed the young woman standing before the crowd. The mysterious female was adorned in a resplendent attire, her garments flowing gracefully around her.

With mounting anxiety, Meilin whispered, barely audible even to herself, "Wait, she looks like... me. Is that me? How can this be?" As the realization dawned upon her, her heart pounded in her chest, matching the rapid tempo of her racing thoughts. A mix of astonishment and confusion washed over her. She struggled to comprehend the enigma before her.

Breaking the silence, the man's voice boomed again, his tone laced with contempt. "She is not human!" he proclaimed, his words reverberating off the ornate walls of the chamber. His declaration chilled Meilin's spine.

.

Meilin's eyes snapped open, and her breath caught in her throat as she abruptly emerged from the depths of her dream. Beads of sweat adorned her forehead, testifying to the profound intensity of her subconscious journey. The dream had revealed a staggering truth, interweaving her existence with the enigmatic Moon Tribe, a realm that exceeded the boundaries of her wildest imaginings. 'This dream... I-I'm... from the Moon Tribe? Living with Pretty Eyes for this long made me believe crazy stuff!' she thought, stunned.

Snapping back from her thoughts, Meilin found herself pushed into a brutal spectacle in her living room. Her heart pounded with dread as she saw the horrifying scene. Dozens of monstrous creatures writhed in agony, their forms consumed by the raging inferno of Qingcang's Hellfire, burning them to dust. Her home remained untouched, miraculously spared from the destruction that destroyed the dark beings.

"D-Dongfang Qingcang! Are you alright?" Meilin's voice erupted with genuine concern, echoing through the room.

'She's awake,' Qingcang registered inwardly, realizing Meilin had returned to the waking world. "Just stay clear!" he responded in his usual deep voice, his words laced with urgency. Unleashing a relentless barrage of Hellfire through the windows, he executed his attack toward the incoming monsters, each blast a testament to his unbeatable power. 'There are too many of them. I'll be fine, but she...' his thoughts trailed off, his teeth clenching in frustration. Casting a glance in her direction, he was startled to witness that she had teleported away in front of his eyes before the monster approached her. 'Where is she?' an undercurrent of panic surged within him, threatening to overwhelm his mind.

Meilin had just teleported from the living room to her backyard. The ground shook with a loud thud as she landed, sending shockwaves through her body. "Oof! What the heck?" she exclaimed. Stupefied by the sudden motion, she said, "That monster did this?" Before she could fully comprehend what had just happened, Qingcang appeared before her with his dark auric wings dissipating into the night sky. "Pretty Eyes!" she cried as he quickly created a shield around her, leaving her safely inside.

Qingcang reacted to Meilin by facing her, saying, "I order you to stay inside this shield," causing her to blink. He took off into the sky, his entire body charged with blue flames.

"He's... amazing," Meilin said, looking at Qingcang in awe as she saw him unleash multiple large blasts of Hellfire at some incoming targets, the sound of their horrifying screams filling the air as they burned to ashes. She suddenly felt her heart skip a beat, her breathing becoming heavier. 'Qingcang... Come back...' she thought as she passed out.

After finishing off the incoming monsters, Qingcang lowered himself back to the ground, astonished at the creatures he had just fought. He had never heard of demons like them before he stepped foot into this world, and the only demons he knew of were those of his tribe. He could not believe that such horrendous-looking creatures could exist.

With the battle over, Qingcang made the shield disappear and saw Meilin lying on the ground with her eyes closed. 'She passed out from exhaustion from teleporting... She's too weak to do that frequently... But how can she, a human, teleport the same way as someone from the Moon Tribe?' he thought, bewildered. Kneeling beside her, he gently touched her hand and was immediately surprised by the intense heat radiating from her skin. 'What is happening to her?' he thought, his eyes widening in shock.

In the quiet afternoon, Qingcang found himself seated in the chair of Meilin's bedroom, his eyes fixed upon her slumbering form. 'She has to stay within my reach at night. Or else, they'll kill her,' thoughts swirled within his mind, pondering their complicated connection. 'It appears that the shared bond between us is either enabling her to harness the Moon Tribe techniques or transforming her into a Moon Tribesman,' he pondered, his gaze filled with uncertainty. The weight of his realization hung heavy in the air as he thought, 'But once the bond is severed, she might return to being human again.'

Suddenly, the sound of the doorbell pierced through the room, causing Qingcang's eyes to widen in surprise. A surge of energy surged within him, and without pause, he conjured Hellfire into existence. The blue flames danced upon his palm, flickering with an otherworldly glow. His thoughts momentarily disregarded that Meilin would be upset if he killed a human.

However, before Qingcang could fully comprehend the consequences of his action, Meilin's voice cut through the air, filled with urgency and concern. "Pretty Eyes, no!" she exclaimed, swiftly placing her delicate hand upon his arm, catching him off guard.

'She... did it again,' Qingcang thought. He froze in his tracks as if time itself had momentarily halted. He observed in shock as Meilin's black wing-shaped aura dissipated into the air, red orbs shimmering and vanishing like embers. A bewildered realization struck him like a bolt of lightning. 'Her aura... it looks like mine,' he thought, his mind grappling to comprehend the significance. 'That explains everything. Her body uses our shared bond to turn her into one of us,' he concluded, his expression a mix of astonishment and curiosity.

Meanwhile, Meilin blinked in surprise, her senses abruptly jolted by the sensation of teleportation. She stood at the other side of her bedroom with confusion. No one else could have done this to her, perplexing her utterly. The weight of this discovery began to settle upon her, causing her breathing to quicken and her shock to intensify. "W-what..." she stammered, her voice trembling, her gaze shifting from her trembling hands to meet the unwavering eyes of the Moon Supreme. Her words emerged hesitantly, emotionally with uncertainty. "I-I'm... I have to go," she managed to utter, her voice catching in her throat. Anxious, she retreated from Qingcang's side, her footsteps carrying her out of the room and down the stairs, echoing in the hallway.

Qingcang remained rooted to his spot, his mind delving into deep reflection. His lips formed a pensive line as he voiced his thoughts aloud, the weight of his words resonating within the room. "She was happy after our conversation last night. Could her improved spiritual energy be the trigger for her transformation?" His gaze swiftly lifted, piercing through space and time, toward the path Meilin had taken. His mind drifted back to their intimate moments, replaying the memories of their kisses. In each lingering embrace, he vividly remembered that every time their mouths were too close, something left his body, draining him of it. Skepticism tinged his voice as he murmured, asking himself, "Did that Silly Little Human unknowingly steal a piece of my life force?"

As Meilin swung open the door, her gaze fell upon a delivery man clutching a sizable package. Still reeling from the revelations of her newfound abilities, she silently signed for the parcel and carried it into her home.

A heavy sigh escaped Meilin's lips as she set the box down, her weariness evident in her demeanor. The thought of opening it or even glancing at its origin failed to interest her until she saw an unmistakable orange-colored label attached to its surface. 'They're the custom-made dress and tuxedo I ordered online for my wedding tomorrow,' she realized, her heart sinking further. Despite her sad state, she could not help but wonder, "What has happened to me?" Her voice was a mere whisper, laden with confusion and melancholy, as she turned her attention back to the package.

Qingcang appeared and, though uncomfortable with the knowledge of his life force being drained by Meilin, recognized the need for a gentler approach to convey what he wanted to say without overwhelming her. 'I don't want to deal with her tears,' he scoffed. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath, feeling the air fill his lungs, exhaling slowly, centering himself. Clearing his throat, he opened his eyes and spoke, his voice laced with tenderness. "You're experiencing a transformation, becoming one of the Moon Tribe," he began, carefully choosing his words.

Meilin's eyes widened in shock, her mind grappling as questions welled within her, seeking understanding. "But how can a human change into your people?" she asked, her voice filled with doubt and a longing for answers. 'Could it be... that... he can force the truth out of me because I've been changing... THE WHOLE FREAKING TIME SINCE I MET HIM?' she thought, mentally screaming in agony. Her gaze lingered on Qingcang, awaiting his reply, but all that followed was a profound silence. Frustration mingled with her curiosity as she pressed further, her voice laced with a desperate plea, "Can it be stopped? Please tell me!"

Lost in contemplation, Qingcang's brows knitted together as he fought with the gravity of the situation. With a flick of his finger, infused with his otherworldly power, he revealed Meilin's real body for the first time. A radiant light emanated from her being, casting a mesmerizing holographic projection that resembled a brilliant blue flame, mirroring his ethereal essence. He looked at it in shock. His words, tinged with surprise, hung heavy as her gasp escaped, her features frozen in stupefaction. "It's too late. You're no longer human," he uttered, his scowl deepening. He watched her eyes well up with tears, reflecting her heartache and longing.

"But I... want my life back," Meilin whispered, her voice trembling and on the verge of sobbing, the weight of her despair evident. "I don't want to be a demon!"

Qingcang's demeanor shifted slightly, his frustration momentarily subsiding as he regarded Meilin with a cool detachment. He crossed his arms over his chest, twitching an eye in anger. "You didn't seem to mind me being a demon last night," he stated, his tone cold.

A spark of defiance ignited within Meilin's eyes as she swiftly responded, her voice filled with conviction. "I still don't mind," she declared.

Confusion mingled with irritation as Qingcang's voice hardened, his patience wearing thin. "Then what is the problem?" he snapped, his frustration surfacing.

Tears shimmered in Meilin's eyes as she poured out her fears, her voice trembling with vulnerability, "I don't mind if you are a demon, but I am a human, born and raised in this world. How can I continue living like this?"

Qingcang, his face contorted with annoyance, sneered disdainfully, the lines of his jaw clenched tightly. "There is nothing I can do to reverse this," he muttered through gritted teeth, his frustration simmering beneath the surface.

"We must find out how to undo this. I want to be human! You don't understand what I'm going through, do you? And what if people find out and hunt me down?" Meilin's words spilled forth a torrent of anguish and uncertainty.

Gritting his teeth, Qingcang felt his irritation mounting impatiently. "With me around, no one dares to lay a hand on you. Is that clear?" he retorted sharply, his words carrying an edge of possessiveness.

Meilin scoffed, her hands trembling in stress, her voice tinged with bitterness. "Do you want to stay with me until I die, then?" she challenged, fully expecting Qingcang's response to be negative.

Qingcang's mind raced as the weight of the situation settled upon him, calculating the complex web of his plans. 'I must keep her within my reach at night until the portal reappears. And then...' his thoughts trailed off, the simmering irritation within him threatening to boil over. "I do," he replied, his voice laced with an undertone of annoyance that Meilin was not as accepting of his tribe as he thought. His jaw tightened in frustration, the gesture hidden from her eyes, as his words hung in the air, leaving her stunned and speechless.

Meilin's gaze locked onto Qingcang's, her eyes wide with a mixture of surprise and a rush of emotions that surged within her. Her heart fluttered within her chest as she struggled to comprehend the implications of his words. "So... you no longer desire all your wishes of that night to come true?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Secretly, her mind raced, 'Will you leave this world when the portal appears?'

Qingcang's mind wandered back to that fatal night when he had made numerous wishes, each etched vividly into his memory, and their intensity flooded his consciousness. That night, he wished to open the portal back to his world, destroy the Fairy Realm, kill all the fairies, unite the three realms, bring back glory to the Moon Tribe, and most of all, he wanted to be freed from being bound to Meilin and be able to kill her before going back to his world.

As Qingcang locked his gaze with Meilin's, he took a deep breath as if inhaling the weight of his decisions. Slowly, he exhaled, his breath escaping through his nose. With a voice that carried a cold and detached tone, he responded, "I'll return to my world after you die."

Please tell me what you think and give me a vote to help me out! I'll appreciate it.
