Sean decided to look for Kyle after dinner, he doesn't need to, Sean saw the boy entering the buffet hall. Kyle wore a heavy hood and his cheeks were red from the cold and he had a smile on his face.
'Kyle' Sean called as Kyle walked pass their table, Kyle turned to the voice that called him and his smile widens. Sean stood up not minding the curious eyes of his friends,
'I kept my promise' Sean said stretching out the dagger to Kyle.
'Oh, I knew you would' Kyle collected the dagger and smiled, Sean didn't know anything to say anymore so he awkwardly withdraw his hands to his pant's pocket.
'I wanted to tell you something' Kyle said to Sean and his eyes lite up,
'Smile, I sure it looks good on you' Kyle said and smiled this time showing his neatly arranged white teeth. Sean tried taking Kyle advice and this time his face obeyed him and smiled.
'That's it' Kyle chuckled and left while Sean fell back into his seat grinning. It was after a while that Sean's smile disappeared and he noticed the shocked look on his friends face.
'I'm not exactly a loner' Sean defended and Asher sent him a glare.
'Sean, you smiled' Cian said, the shock in his voice made it come out like whispers.
'Is that why you are curious' Raymond teased nudging Sean shoulder. Sean took Raymond wrist and twisted his shoulder, Raymond tapped the table signing he surrenders.
'You wouldn't know if I smile with my other friends' Sean defended
'Come on, we all know you don't have any any other friends' Clint said
'I'm not Asher' Sean said
'I got a friend' Asher defended
'Who?!' Raymond and Clint asked in unison,
'Karin' Asher said nodding his head to her direction.
Karin's face immediately turned tomato and Cian chuckled, Raymond and Clint began to roar in laughter.
Shannon proposal was still on Cian's mind during dinner and even when they reached home. Asher still watched Cian sleep everyday, though their deal was once a week.
One weekend afternoon, Cian decided to look for another to reason his thoughts. He sat on the window and brought out the diamond pendant that was tucked into his hood. He brought the pendent into the sunlight and a figure appeared in front of him,
'Dad' Cian dryly chuckled
'Hello don't Dad said
'I'm confused' Cian complained
'About what they hiding from you?' Dad asked and Cian nodded
'I know they are doing it for me but I can't help but feel bad, they are carrying my burden and I can't stop feeling guilty' Cian said
'So you want to accept Shannon's proposal?' Dad asked and Cian nodded
'You have the right to know but you got to live with the consequences of knowing' Dad said
'I know, but it's my only chance to remember everything' Cian sighed and tilted his head backwards and Dad disappeared.
Cian met with Shannon after history class and agreed to accept Shannon's proposal. They exchanged phone numbers and Shannon agreed to inform h when Nadia schedule a date.
At the Elite's mansion, 'You can't seriously be thinking of doing that' Shannon said to Nadia in the sitting room
'When did you start to care, thought you were all heartless and cold or is just a facade?' Nadia said
'And I thought you were smart' Shannon said
'What are you girls arguing about' Tyler asked heading to the kitchen to pour himself a glass of water.
'They are arguing about Cian' Jessica said, she was lying on the sofa with her legs dangling out of the sofa.
'That loser' Trevor snoffed
'I'm telling her not to mess with Cian's memory' Shannon defended
'We can take this opportunity and take out that monster' Nadia said
'At the risk of our life, oh I don't expect you to care, you still got six more life' Shannon snapped at Nadia.
'I agree with Shannon, let's gain his trust first' Tyler said leaning on the staircase.
'Yeah, we can't mess up with Cian's memory because his friends remembered it' Jessica said and Nadia sighed.
'Ok, I'll get his memories back and we will get him another time' Nadia said as there was a knock on the door.
'He's here' Tyler said sniffing the at fr Cian's scent. Cian had left a note in his room saying that he would be late tonight and purposely wore new clothes to mask his scent so that he won't be traced.
The door opened and revealed Shannon who led him to a spiritual room, filled with candles. Nadia sat on the floor in a white circle, a barrier spell. Nadia gestured for Cian to step into the circle, Cian obeyed and sat down opposite her,
'I need a strand of your hair' Nadia said. Cian hesitated and sighed before pulling out a strand of his hair giving it to Nadia who placed a burning candle at their center and burnt the strand of Cian's hair and her's.
'Give me your hand' Nadia requested and Cian complied.
Nadia held his hand and started chanting a spell repeatedly then she used her index finger to press Cian's forehead and Cian drifted to sleep curling up in the barrier.
Asher hadn't seen Cian all afternoon, he went into Cian's room after knocking with no reply, Asher searched Cian's room but Cian was nowhere to be found. He stumbled upon the note Cian had left on his study table, his eyes widen in shock and he dashed downstairs to inform others.
'He went out this night of all night' Clint said pulling his front hair, yeah, tonight was a full moon, the night all werewolf are forced to turn under the appearance of the Moon Goddess, all werewolf turns expect from the Hybrids.
They sat in the sitting room thinking about the likely places Cian would be since Cian had masked his scent, Asher suddenly remembered the time he was listening to Shannon and Cian conversation when Shannon offered her Cian a proposal, Asher didn't think that Cian would actually agree to the proposal.
They set off for the Elite's mansion, It wasn't far away from the academy and was easy to locate, unlike theirs that was untraceable. Clint used his werewolf strength to knock down the door, Clint, Raymond and Sean rushed into the mansion expect from Asher who can't enter without being invited in. Tyler had left the mansion for the woods away from people, away from danger and others who he might put to danger.
Clint was angry when he saw Cian lying on the ground in a room filled with spiritual energy, his sea blue eyes shone brighter under the dimmed lights,
'Invite him in' Clint said his voice coming out more like an animal, a wolf.
'You can't force us to do what we don't want to do' Nadia snapped
'Don't even think about it' Nadia said as Clint's fangs grew out of his gum, Clint stopped on his track still growling angrily.
'You can't hurt me I'm linked to him' Nadia said as she cut her palm with a knife and at the same time Cian's palm cut and started bleeding Asher was still standing outside unable to do anything. He growled almost sounding like a wolf, his eyes have turned red, the skin underneath his eyes were covered purple-ish vein and his fangs was out longer and sharper than Clint's. Asher tried walking into the mansion uninvited but the pain was too much, he was bleeding from his ear so he steps back.
'I can't harm you doesn't mean I can't harm your comarades' Clint said with a scowl on his face. He magically attacked Shannon causing her head throbbing and her blood to boil. Clint stepped closer to Shannon and grabbed her closer to him and bit down her neck with his fangs at the same time Raymond went for Trevor bitting him on his hand.
'My venom is in your blood if you dare to die you can kiss goodbye to your magic' Raymond said and an evil smirk appeared on his face.
