"Mukhang magpapaparty pala si Miss Williams, Ma'am..." balita ni Arthur sa akin sa sumunod na araw.
Kakatapos lang ng meeting tungkol sa sales ng hotel. Kakaupo ko pa lang, iyon na agad ang ibinalita ni Arthur.
"Her birthday?" nang mapagtanto kong nabanggit iyon ni Draven kahapon.
"Yes, Ma'am. Mukhang kausap niya kahapon ang isang Hotel event planner at isa ako sa naggiya sa kanya sa mga function halls para matingnan niya. Malaking party ata ang balak niya, Ma'am..."
"When?"
"Baka this week, Ma'am..."
I wonder if Draven would be there on her party? Paano kung nandoon nga siya, Ashtraia? Ayos rin 'yon para makapagconcentrate ako rito sa loob kaysa iyong nandito siya...

After two hours of finishing the proposed strategies for the next budget plans, I closed my laptop. Mukhang hindi pa siya tapos kaya nauna akong tumayo.

"What engineer are you?" I asked.

Umangat ang aking kilay. Iyon ba ang sinabi niyang delikado ang trabaho niya? He's designing firearms?
Malalim pa ang iniisip ko nang gumalaw ang kanyang inuupuan hanggang nakaharap na iyon sa akin.
"That's the reason why you don't consider marriage at the moment?"
Tumango siya. "I'm a US based weapon Engineer of Armscor," aniya.
"At anong ginagawa mo sa Pilipinas?"
"I have something important to take care of..." he rested his back against his seat just like his position yesterday.
Napatingin ako sa kandungan niyang nagbibigay na naman ng imbitasyon sa akin na umupo roon.
"The land title?" usisa ko.
O ako? I wanted to add that shamelessly pero hindi naman ganoon kakapal ang mukha ko para mag-assume.
He nodded but there's something in his eyes that says otherwise.

"Assault rifles," bigkas ko habang tinitingnan ang bawat parte noong baril.
He nodded while I can feel his hand against my back caressing it gently.
"It's my newly developed rifles for military self-reliance... and it's actually a confidential design but go ahead if you're curious."

"So... your company is selling legal firearms? Is that it?"
He nodded. Tiningnan ko nang maigi ang mga parte. Lola is fond with guns. She's skilled. She has a long shot gun at alam ko na ilang beses niya iyong ginamit panakot noon sa asawa ng kanyang anak na babae.
I've used guns when I'm at the shooting range and I can really tell that his design is well developed and it looked so advance.
"US based ba 'to... or..." lalo na't nabasa ko ang impormasyong US based ang kompanyang Armscor.
"I personally made it for the elite units of special armed forces here in the Philippines."
