Jungkook entered his office, a deep frown visible on his face. He brought out his phone and dialed Jimin's number for the umpteenth time, but he wasn't picking up.
"Where the f**k are you, Cara?" He muttered.
He already went to check his post but he wasn't there. It was unusual for him to leave the office without informing him.
He dialed V's number and he picked up.
"Meet me in my office" he simply said and hung up.
He went to the window, staring outside but his mind was faraway.
The door opened and V entered. He bowed his head.
"You called for me," he said.
"Have you seen Cara? I mean, Jimin?" Jungkook asked.
"Mr. Park? No, I haven't" V said.
"He's not here in the company" Jungkook turned to face him.
"Where were you?" He asked.
"I was outside checking out for Mr. Park," V said.
Jungkook stared at him, not saying a word.
"I went out for lunch and I'm just returning back, I didn't even take long" V quickly confessed.
"Damnit!" Jungkook growled, rushing out immediately. V went after him.
Jungkook got outside and entered the car hurriedly.
"Drive me to Jimin's place, hurry!" He commanded the driver.
The driver nodded and started the ignition, the car zoomed off speedily.
V came out of the building, looking at the car which was already disappearing out of sight, he roughed his hair aggressively.
"F**k! I should have just starved myself" he muttered to himself.

YONSEI UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL***
Mrs. Kim entered the recovery room and a tear escaped her eyes when she saw her daughter laying on the bed unconscious with different pipes connected to her body.
"My baby" she whispered, taking slow steps to the bed.
"I'm sorry, Mommy is sorry" she bent her head as she cried.
"It was my fault, I should have just let go of the past and take care of you, I'm a bad mother" she sobbed.
The truth was that Hyeonji's father didn't actually die when he had an accident. He survived the accident but he gave his daughter his heart when she was experiencing heart failure.

FLASHBACK, THREE YEARS AGO***
Mrs. Kim rushed Hyeonji to the hospital, screaming her lungs out.
"Doctor! Nurse! Help, my daughter is dying! Save her please" she cries with Hyeonji in her arms.
Two nurses rushed to her and collected Hyeonji from her.
"Save my baby please, I beg of you" she begged.
"We will try our best," the nurse said and took Hyeonji away.
Mrs. Kim folds her palms together as her tears keep falling like a river, she couldn't afford to lose her only daughter.
Hyeonji was sick and her Dad went out to get some drugs for her. When she noticed he wasn't returning back soon, she had to rush her to the hospital herself.
"My baby, please don't leave me, Mommy is gonna die" she whispered, going to and fro.
MINUTES LATER***
The Doctor came out of the ward Hyeonji was in and Mrs. Kim rushed towards him, looking at him expectantly.
"How's my baby? Nothing is wrong, right?" She asked, holding her breath. The Doctor had a sober look on his face and that worried her a lot.
"Your daughter had a heart failure and it's at its final stage, which means she needs a donor right now. If it takes too long, then I'm sorry to say we might lose her" the Doctor said.
Mrs. Kim legs wobbled and she fell to the floor, her eyes wide like she just saw a ghost.
"My Hyeon?" She stuttered.
"You need to get yourself together ma'am, there isn't time anymore. We'll also try our best and see if we can find a donor within 24 hours" the Doctor said and walked away.
"No, no, not my baby. Not my daughter" Mrs. Kim shook her head vehemently, her lips trembling badly.
Just then, she received a call on her phone, she wasn't supposed to pick it, but seeing it was her husband calling, she picked it immediately.
"Am I speaking with Mrs. Kim please?" She heard a female's voice.
"Yes, who are you? Where's my husband? Why are you with his phone?"
"I'm Nurse Rose from Samsung Hospital, your husband was involved in an accident and is currently in our hospital"
Mrs. Kim' eyes went wide.
"My husband? No, please, what room is he in?" She asked. Thankfully, that was the hospital Hyeonji was admitted in.
"Room 07" the nurse said.
She hanged up and dashed to the receptionist, asking for the room 07
She got there and met her husband on the bed, his arms and head were bandaged but he's perfectly fine.
"Honey!" She rushed to him in tears.
"How did this happen? How?"
"I was involved in an accident on my way to get Hyeonji her drugs, but I'm fine. How's our daughter? Have you taken her to the hospital?" Mr. Kim asked worriedly.
"Hyeonji is also here in the hospital but...." She stopped.
"Our daughter is suffering from a heart disease, she needs a donor. Honey, our baby is dying" she cried.
"What?"
"I don't know what to do, I can't lose my baby, I can't"
"Where's the Doctor?" Mr. Kim asked.
The Doctor entered at that moment.
"Doctor, any news?" Mrs. Kim asked.
The Doctor shook his head sadly.
"I'll be the donor," Mr. Kim blurted out.
Mrs. Kim turned to him in shock.
"No, not you honey. No,"
"I'll give my heart to my daughter, she's my jewel, I can't afford to lose her" Mr. Kim said.
"Honey! No, I won't accept that!" Mrs. Kim shouted.
"Do you know what you're saying sir? You're going to lose your life" the Doctor said.
"I'm ready," Mr. Kim said, determination evident in his voice.
"Then we need to perform a surgery on you now, we don't have much time left" The Doctor said and quickly went out
Mr. Kim faced his wife.
"Asan, I'm sorry, but I have to do this. I can't lose my daughter, I'll die if that happens, so I need to do this" he said.
Mrs. Kim shook her head in tears.
"No Honey, we'll find a way, don't do this please, I can't live without you"
"I'm gonna die," she cries.
"It's for our daughter," he said.
The Doctor returned back with some nurses, a stretcher was brought forward and they placed Mr. Kim on it.
"Asan," Mr. Kim muttered, staring at his wife with tears in her eyes.
"I love you and our daughter so much, take care of her for me. That's my last wish to you" Mr. Kim said.
"Honey," Mrs. Kim whimpered.
He held her hand and placed a deep kiss on it.
"Take care of yourself, I love you," he said. Like that, they dragged him away and Mrs. Kim fell to her knees, crying her eyes out.
"No, I can't live without you, I can't!" She screamed, roughing her head like a lunatic.

FLASHBACK ENDS***
"I failed you, Lee. I failed our daughter" Mrs. Kim said.
She held Hyeonji's hand.
"I promise to be the best Mom to you, I promise to take care of you baby, just wake up for me" she mumbled in tears.

Jimin walked dejectedly home, his face was filled with tears. His mind went to his discussion with Mr. Jeon and he sobbed harder

"Leave my son's life and your family will be safe" Mr. Jeon said coldly.
Jimin cried loudly, his tears wearing the tiles. This was a hard decision for him. Was he ready to give up his love for his family?
He wasn't, he couldn't even give up one one, he loved both his family and Jungkook very much.
Mr. Jeon brought out the bag of money and placed it on the table.
"I knew you were going to come back, so I kept this for you" he smiled.
Hearing that statement, Jimin grew angry and stood up, staring at him in anger.
"All this because I'm poor? You even think I'm going to accept your filthy money? I Jimin, will never stoop so low to that"
"I'm going to leave your son, but note this, you're gonna regret it for the rest of your life. Your son will never forgive you and I too! I'll never forgive you till I die. And..." He moved closer to the table and picked a handful of money, he tore it into pieces right in his presence.
"To hell with you and your money!" He threw the money to his face.
"Go closer to my family once again and I'll kill you myself, take my words" he glared.
"F**k me for thinking you are a nice person not knowing you're a snake in a green grass" he stormed out of the place.
He might be poor and weak, but he would never stoop so low in collecting his money. Never!

"I'm sorry Jungkook," he whispered.
He just needs to do this for his family, he loves him but he loves his family more.
He got to their house and met Jungkook outside, he was about to enter his car but stopped himself when he saw him.
Jungkook quickly rushed to him and held his shoulder.
"Cara Mia, where have you been? How could you leave without a word? Do you know how worried I was?" Jungkook bombarded him with questions.
Staring at his eyes which were filled with worries, Jimin broke down in tears. He couldn't even bring himself to break up with the man in front of him, he couldn't.
Jungkook wiped his tears with his thumb.
"Cara, your brother told me what happened and..."
"It was your Dad," he blurted out.
"What?"
"Your Dad ordered some people to hurt my parents, they destroyed our restaurant too"
Hearing that, a vortex of anger swirled inside Jungkook and he went cold with fury.
"That old dog," he gritted.
It took all of Jimin's being to say the words he's about to utter out.
"Let's break up Jungkook, I can't do this anymore please"
"Did he threaten you to say this?" Jungkook asked slowly.
"How could you? Something like this happened and you didn't bother to inform me about it? You went ahead to meet him, how could you?"
"Did you expect me to stay calm when he almost ruined my family? My parents' restaurant too,," he bit his lips.
"Let's just end it here Jungkook, please" he said, blinking back his tears.
"That's not funny, Cara. I told you I'm not gonna leave you, remember? You promised me too, you said you aren't going to leave me no matter the circumstances!" Jungkook said, trying not to raise his voice.
"Do you think I can do that when my family's life is at stake? I can't, Jungkook"
"So, you wanna end it, is that it? You want to break up with me without even telling me about it?"
"I thought you loved me," he whispered.
"I love you, Jungkook. I do very much, but...."
He removed his hand from his shoulder and shifted back, moving out of his reach.
"Let's give each other some space" he muttered and ran inside the house before he could stop him.
Jungkook stared into space, his eyes wide open. It still felt like a dream to him, Jimin can't break his heart this way.
"Jeon...." He growled, clenching his fist real hard.

Jimin closed the door and bent on his knees, crying his eyes out. His heart hurts like hell, it was as if he was stabbed with a knife.
If it were up to him, he wouldn't break up with Jungkook, but his parents were involved. Will they support their relationship knowing fully well his Dad tried to ruin them?
They'll totally be against it.
"Jimin?" Jimoon called.
"Are you crying?" He asked on noticing the tears in his eyes.
Jimin shook his head and cleaned his tears.
"You don't have to, Mom is awake already," he said.
"Are you serious?" He asked, getting to his feet.
"Yes," Jimoon nodded.
He went to the room and met Hana awake already, he's sitting beside Chung Hee who's still unconscious.
"Mom!"
"Jimin" Hana smiled sadly.
Jimin went to her and pulled her to a bone crushing hug.
"Mom, I'm sorry. I'm sorry you had to go through this" he said.
"What are you saying, Jimin? It's not your fault, everything just had to happen" Hana said.
"The restaurant, that's your sweat, Mom, it's..."
"Jimin, stop crying, you're gonna make me cry too" Hana said.
Jimin broke the hug and cleaned his face, he stared at Chung Hee.
"Your Dad will be awake soon, you don't have to worry" Hana butted in. She was trying to make Jimin calm but truth be told, she wasn't fine at all. Her head which was bandaged hurts like hell, it was as if some sets of drummers were drumming in her head.
"Mom...." Jimin called slowly.
"I broke up with Jungkook" he mumbled but Hana clearly heard him.
"What?"
"His father is against our relationship because we're poor, he was the one who sent the men to the restaurant because I refused to leave his son"
"I love him Mom, I love him so much and it hurts" Jimin whispered as he burst into tears.
"I don't think I can do without him, I'm addicted to him already" he continues crying.
"Come here, baby" Hana pulled him to a hug.
"It's fine, I understand those rich folks hate it when their son is in love with a poor person. It's fine, you'll find another man"
Jimin shook his head.
"I don't want another man, I want Jungkook,, only him" he cried like a baby.
All Hana did was to rock him. She understands his son's plight, this was his first time in love and it will definitely hurt.
One thing she's sure of is that Chung Hee will never approve his relationship with Jungkook again, not after this incident.

JEON FAMILY HOUSE***
Lisa came out of the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn in her hands, she was heading to her room when the door to the house suddenly flung open, revealing an angry Jungkook.
"Brother" she exclaimed in happiness and was about to rush to him when Jungkook walked past her, heading to his Father's room.
"Huh? What's going on?" She mumbled, following him behind.
Jungkook barged into his Father's room to find it empty.
"Where's he?" Jungkook growled.
"Who?" Lisa asked behind him.
"Dad? Oh, he's in his study room," she said.
Jungkook walked away and she followed him in confusion.
Jungkook entered the study room and met Mr. Jeon sitting on a chair, he looked like he was deep in thought.
He quickly went to him and held him by the collar, dragging him to his feet.
"How could you?" He growled.
"Brother!" Lisa tried to caution him.
"How dare you harm his parents?! How dare you!" Jungkook roared.
"I did it for you, son"
"Stop telling me that! Stop saying that bullshit, it irritates me! No father would ever do this to his son! No father would ever try to chase the person his son loves away!"
"Have you forgotten? Have you forgotten we were once like them? Have you forgotten we were once poor? Have you!" Jungkook yelled. His eyes by now were filled with tears.
"Can you at least put yourself in their shoes, you destroyed their only means of survival! You made him break up with me!"
By now, Mr. Jeon's eyes were already filled with regrets.
"You're not looking out for me, you're only being selfish. And you know what, I'll never forgive you for this, even till eternity"
"Forget about me, forget about my name because you'll never see me here again" he went out of the house in anger.
Mr. Jeon slumped to the chair and placed his hand on the table. His son's words hit him a million times.
"Dad, what's Jungkook talking about? You didn't do it, right?" Lisa asked.
"I'm so disappointed in you" she left the room.
"Am I a beast now?" Mr. Jeon asked himself slowly.

NEXT DAY, JIMIN'S RESIDENCE**
Jimin came out of his room dressed for work, he never wanted to go to work but Hana pestered him to do so.
"I'm leaving," he announced.
Chung Hee came out of the kitchen and his eyes widened.
"Dad!" He screamed.
Chung Hee hugged him with a smile on his face.
"Dad, I was so worried. I thought..." He sniffs.
"Hey c'mon, Dad is a strong man, remember?" Chung Hee smiled.
Jimin chuckled against his shoulder and hugged him tighter.
"I'm sorry" he whispered.
"We'll close the restaurant for now, that's the best," Hana said behind them.
Jimin broke the hug to stare at her.
"Your Mom is right, the restaurant isn't running well anymore so we have no choice but to close it" Chung Hee added.
"I love you, Dad," Jimin whispered and hugged him again.

The door to Cecilia's room opened and the maid entered.
"Good morning, ma'am" she smiled at Cecilia.
"Your breakfast is ready," she added.
"I'm not hungry" Cecilia looked away.
The maid looked around before moving closer to Cecilia.
"Ma'am, you need to listen to me. You have to eat because it's very important"
"I already served your food separate, make sure you don't touch any other food except the one I serve you"
Cecilia stared at her.
"I told you I'm going to save you, right? I might be new here, but I'm telling you to trust me"
"Alexa," Cecilia called.
"Do this for me ma'am, I won't be in trouble, trust me" Alexa smiled.
