"Y/n!!" Kiyo called out my name while running up to me with Naho and Sumi behind her
"Y/n's awake!!" They all clung to my leg, I patted all of their heads,
"Do you guys want to help me find Tokito? We are going to have lunch right now, I'm starving!" I smiled down at the three girls
"Of course!!" Kiyo and Naho held onto my hands while Sumi pulled on my haori
This trio of girls were like my younger sisters, they were just little balls of sunshine, I always brought them treats when I return from missions. I never had any siblings, so having these three healed that.
"There he is!!"
"Tokito!!"
"We found him!!"
The mist pillar turned to the three girls who were calling out his name, they were still dragging me along as we approached him.
"I caught you finally!! Can we go get some food I think my stomach is eating itself.." I sweatdropped
"I think I'm done with everything Kocho needed.. let's go." Tokito grabbed onto my hand and walked through the halls
I could hear the giggles of the butterfly girls behind us, I don't think he meant it in any way.. otherwise, he wouldn't have done it so quickly, right?! My mind became easily overheated I hadn't realized he already let go.
"What's that cloud's shape again??" Tokito stared up and pointed at the sky while walking beside me
I fanned my face trying to cool it down, taking a glance at the specific cloud he was talking about.
"That looks like a whale.. is that what you are talking about?" He peered over at me while I spoke
"..What's a whale?" He asked with his head tilted
His expression made my heart flutter, it was adorable, almost like the butterfly girls, but they outshone him by a pinch.
"A whale, you know those huge animals that swim in the sea! Do you remember?" I made a wave motion with my arms,
his mouth slightly agape with his finger on his chin, "I think so.." a short pause, "Actually, no I don't."
A small laughter escaped my lips, "That's alright, I think I have a book on them, they're so fascinating!"
The mist pillar only felt a weird feeling rising in his stomach when he heard your laughter, to him it was if seeing the clouds had become a sound, it also happened when he saw how much you ate, you were incredible to him.
"Ah! There's the restaurant! I can't wait to eat!!" I held my cheeks and started to drool at the thought of the delicious meals, dango also came into my mind, I think I would like a plate of it as well.
"What can I get you two- ah returning customers, how have you been?" The older man questioned with a smile
"You remember us? We've been good!" I sent him a smile as well
A short laugh came from him, "How could I forget?? It's not every day we meet a gluttonous girl like you, please feel welcome to order anything you'd like."
"We'll have two bowls of udon." Tokito held two fingers up, the older man nodded at his request and returned to make our meal
"This place smells delicious, don't you think Tokito? Ah! That reminds me.."
"I think you are just hungry, hm?" He waited for me to tell him what had been on my mind for a bit
"We've been hanging out right..? I think it's safe to say we are friends, but calling you Tokito seems too formal, could I call you by your first name?" A light pink dusted my cheeks, and I fiddled with my fingers while waiting for his response
"I guess so, that means I should call you by your first name.. right?"
"Mhm! So then.. Muichiro, has your day been good?"
"Not eventful, I stopped by the butterfly mansion for.. something, then Kocho had asked me to help her out. That's when you woke up, those butterfly girls seem attached to you.."
"You mean Kiyo, Naho, and Sumi, right? They are soo cute!! They give me lots of caramel candy, I wish I could adopt them!" I held my cheeks while talking about the tiny balls of sunshine
"They talked to me about you, I can't remember what they said though.."
Something I had noticed is that he wasn't looking out the window while talking to me anymore, he stared directly at me, which to be honest made me nervous, I also grew curious about what the three girls had told him.
"Here is your meal." The man set down the two bowls of ramen
"Delicious!!" I chewed on the tasty noodles and half of the hard-boiled egg,
I noticed tugging at the corner of the mist pillar's lips, "Y/n, you are holding your chopsticks wrong.." It turned into a smirk
My stomach had butterflies in it, as Kanroji liked to call it.
"No way! I've always held them like this!! What are you talking about?!" I leaned closer raising up my chopsticks
He set down the utensil in his hand and reached over the table, "Move this finger here."
He adjusted my pointer finger to where it was actually supposed to be, my face was burning up from embarrassment, and maybe a little bit from the contact. I continued to take another serving after another, once again finishing all the food the restaurant had to give..
"At least I'm full this time!" A wide smile spread across my face while stacking another bowl
A sudden plate was set in front of Muichiro and I, the sight of the desert made my mouth drool. It was two sticks of dango and I really just wanted to taste them, they're so good!
"Here take this on the house, I take it you two are engaged, hm?" It took me a moment to process his words

"ENGAGED?! Well, it would seem that way huh..?! You've got it wrong though! We are just friends!!" I waved my hands around
"What's engaged?" Muichiro questioned with his head tilted
"NOTHING!!"
I only heard laughter from the old man, "No doubt you are soulmates then, what a unique bond you two have, take these as a gift."
"Take what as a gift?" I tilted my head
He dug into his pocket and placed two rings in front of us, one being a pure white with swirls of green, they kind of looked like waves, the other was a deep black with the same swirls of green but the color was teal, they were beautiful.
"These are gorgeous, but we can't accept them.. they look so expensive!" I held the ring in my hand
"Nonsense, they are meant for you two." He left the table as I was about to protest
I only smiled at his words, sliding the ring on my finger, Muichiro doing the same. Once again I denied his accusation of us being in love inside my head. Though I did say thanks for the dango and took a bite of the delicious treat, Muichiro took the other one that was on the plate.
"I've been craving this forever!! It's so sweet!" I had already finished the entire stick with Muichiro only beginning to take a bite
We finished the dessert, and paid for the meal, well more like Muichiro did, I told him I would pay him back every yen and he wouldn't be able to stop me, though Kanroji had told him about paying for a girl's dinner, it just makes me feel bad..
"So you sleep through everything? Even thunderstorms?" I asked while we were strolling along the path
"Mm, mostly yeah." The mist pillar had begun to open up to me, turns out he can sleep soundly even though a loud ruckus and his crow's name is Ginko, he also get's anxious about his memory loss, I listened intently to all he told me.
I softly sighed, "I wish I could, the slightest noise wakes me up.. but I love sleeping!!"
"Cause you don't get hungry? That way you won't hold your chopsticks wrong."
"You are never gonna let that go.."
We entered the gates to my estate, I led him around back, I needed to care for every flower, plant, and seedling since I was asleep for.. I forgot to ask Shinobu how long i'd been asleep.
"What's this one?" Muichiro questioned while carefully bringing the flower closer to him
I leaned over to examine which one was in his palms, "That's Ajisai, you know they can cause vomiting? Ah, and the one next to it is Yuri, those can cause heart failure!" I smiled at the beautiful flowers
"And those?" Muichiro pointed to the rising flowers in the Koi Pond,
"Hasu, they are associated with purity, strength, and rebirth. Each flower in my garden has meaning, I planted the Kaneshon you gave me right there." I showed him the pretty flower he had given me, it had stones surrounding it, with the gorgeous glossy light green one front and center.
"That's the rock I gave you.. right?" He examined the display
"Mhm, I was going to place it inside but.. I'll do it when the Kaneshon has fully grown." I smiled while giving the flower plenty of water
Muichiro continued asking about each flower in the massive garden, and I happily explained each one with a smile, no one had listened this much in a while, well ever really. The more I talked the more questions he had, and that look stayed in his eyes, like he was watching the clouds.
"Why do you have so many poisonous ones?" We were now on top of the roof, as I told him it was the best place to see the entire garden, the sun had set and the moon rose.
"It's only if you eat them, which means I can't really have pets unless I keep them inside but.. I have plants in there as well, if you think about it the plants are my pets!" I let out a small burst of laughter
A small uncontrollable smile tugged at the mist pillar's lips, that laughter, he had heard it before, but not from you, a flicker of a woman's laugh mixed in his head. He only pointed out the twinkling stars in the sky, while you were staring at them in the sky, he was staring at them through your eyes.
