Most of the shipgirls nod, the rest shuddered at the thought
"Well the universe you're going to react to takes that question into an answer. There are many many universes where the Crimson Axis won but most universes are where Azur Lane won" Screen says
"That's.. quite shocking to learn. I thought it was almost impossible for the Axis to win..." Akagi says
"I agree that it was shocking, but I think that it was possible if the leaders of the Axis nations made good decisions during the war." August Von Parseval says
"Are there a limited amount of universes?" Vittorio Veneto asks
"No, there is no limit. There are an infinite amount of altered histories with an INFINITE amount of possibilities. For example, a universe where the nations were the exact opposite with the Axis powers fighting for rights and freedom, then Azur Lane fighting for a dream of tyranny. More examples of universes are where mythological creatures exist, and fantasy can become reality. Hell, there are even universes where future kansens travel or are teleported back to the past to change it" Screen states
The shipgirls were very shocked to learn this information, they were too stunned to speak. Others were busy imagining what the other possibilities are and if they exist as a universe
"Surprising isn't it. Anyway, the only difficulty I had was to pick which alter-alternate universe you react. Thankfully that problem was solved, let's start now"

"A Reich lasting a thousand years? Not possible in my opinion.. especially since we don't know how the Cold War will go and the events after it..." Admiral Hipper says

"On September 1st, 1939, Hitler's army invades Poland winning a swift and total victory. Royal Navy and Iris Libre honoring their commitments to Poland; declared war on Iron Blood. The Reich would then invade Denmark and Norway, securing their iron imports" The speaker states

The shipgirls lowered their heads, they did not want to relive this again but they had to
"A now confident Sardegna Empire joined the war on the side of the Axis powers. A daring operation conducted by Iron Blood Paratroopers saw the capture of Gibraltar, closing off the mouth of the Mediterranean to Royal reinforcements. This trapped a bulk of the Royal Navy in the Mediterranean" The speaker says
The Royal Navy kanasens lowered their heads, the shipgirls were beginning to notice the change of events
"The Sardegna Empire, grasping the opportunity in North Africa, overran the poorly equipped Egyptian forces and the Royal defenders. Sardegnian forces would manage to occupy the Suez Canal, consolidating their iron grip upon the Mediterranean." The speaker says as we see more clips

"The Northern Parliament at the time was in a dire state. Since the death of Vladimir Lenin in January 1924, Nikolai Bukharin had emerged as the new Soviet leader, beating out Joseph Stalin in a power struggle and narrowly avoiding a civil war in the process" The speaker states
The shipgirls breathed a deep sigh
"I have a feeling this will go wrong. either way.." Avrora says
"Bukharin continued with Lenin's 'New Economic Policy', which had introduced more capitalist elements into the economy. This proved disastrous when coupled with the central government's plans to industrialize. Without collectivization, the small-scale peasant farms were unable to produce the grain supply needed for such large scale industrialization, causing widespread famine lasting until 1932." The speaker states

Given at best the poor state of the domestic and economic situation, the total collapse of the Northern Parliament was all but a for-gone conclusion." The speaker states

"On the 22nd June 1941, Axis forces without a declaration of war tore across the Iron-Parliament border; overwhelming the under-equipped and ill-prepared defense forces. The Red Army could only look on in terror as Parliament troops crumbled in the face of the fierce Iron Blood invasion" The speaker says as we see clips of the invasion and men surrendering
"The Parliament forces had come accustomed to crushing peasant rebellions and lacked real combat experience. The fledgling Parliament industrial base also meant that many soldiers did not have guns or the required ammunition for proper fighting." The speaker states
"So unlike their counterparts, they didn't receive any warnings and didn't have the supplies to give back a fight.." Helena says
"It's horrible... and this universe is just one of the alter-alternate worlds among infinite.." Yat Sen says as the girls shudder
"By December 1st, barely six months following the initial attack, Axis forces had reached the Northern Parliament capital of Moscow. As the Iron Blood invasion of the Northern Parliament ploughed on, the Sakura Empire prepared its own operations." The speaker states

"Following the Marco Polo Bridge Incident in 1937, the Sakura Empire had launched a full-scale invasion of Dragon Empery. By now, the war had stalemated, the Sakuranese were now hurting for oil and resources. Therefore, the Empire decided to launch a gamble of its own against Eagle Union" The speaker states

"On December 7th, 1941, the Sakura Empire launched a surprise attack against Eagle Union naval base at Pearl Harbor. The World War had finally come to Eagle Union; the Sakura Empire wanted to preemptively topple the Union and European presence in the Pacific and ensure the Sakuranese dominance in East Asia" The speaker says as we see planes launching off from the fleet carriers
"It had to come to them at some point.." Shangri-La says
"Attacking in two waves, the Sakura Empire Navy Air Service bombed the Eagle Union Pacific Fleet, destroying a bulk of the US battleships, including all aircraft carriers in the area. Miraculously, the Sakuranese even destroyed the Eagle Union oil reserves in the Pacific theater. Union naval dominance was now crippled" The speaker states
All kansens shudder and lower their heads
"All carriers were in port and the pilots did not forget the oil reserves... sheer dumb luck.." Graf Spee says
"It's a miracle that even happened... but Eagle Union has the industrial and numerical advantage so our alter nation needs more luck.." Soryu says
"It would take another miracle to win, but I think that's what happens here..." Shoukaku says
"Eagle Union had found itself in the worst possible position. It would have to prepare for war on short notice and rebuild a portion of its navy; meanwhile the Sakura Empire would invade the Royal, Dutch, and Iris territories unopposed." The speaker says
"Despite the Empire's rapid success, the Union was far from vanquished, sending men to fight in the Pacific and overseas to reinforce the eroding European front. Back in the Northern Parliament, after fierce fighting, Moscow had fallen." The speaker says
The Northern Parliament kansens clenched their hands
"The Swastika was hoisted above the towers of a shelled and gutted Kremlin. In a last-ditch attempt to save the Parliament, Bukharin was overthrown and a provisional state council was installed into power as an emergency government in 1941" The speaker states
"That far into the war is too late for a coup, and I think the emergency government would fail anyway..." Sovetskaya Rossiya says
"By this point however, it was too late and the coup only succeeded in destroying what little cohesion the Northern Parliament had left, with what remained of the country shattering into an anarchic mess of many different smaller warlord states, as regional leaders took control" The speaker says as we see the entire nation split up
The Northern Parliament shipgirls lowered their heads, to see their motherland in such a state is heartbreaking to see. The other shipgirls could only comfort them and look in sympathy.
"The Soviet Parliament was officially dissolved on the 21st of January that year, the 18th anniversary of Lenin's death. Iron Blood took territory up to the eponymous named A-A line, consolidating their new holdings into four areas of control; creating the Reich-Commissariat of Ostland, Ukraine, Moscow, and the Caucasus" The speaker states
The Northern kansens at this point began to shed some tears, some were even drinking a little Vodka. At least their Iron Blood drink buddies were here
"In the Pacific, the Imperial Navy moved from victory to victory, surprisingly defeating the Eagle Union Navy in the 1942 Battle of Midway." The speaker says
"I'm going to have a need of explanation of that.." Hornet says
"Either intelligence was inaccurate, the pilots were lost on their way to the carriers, there are not enough aircraft carriers or the Navy wasn't able to finish their constructions, maybe it was only a battle of cruisers and battleships, and many more possible explanations" Gneisenau says
"Further Sakura Empire offensive saw the taking of the Philippines, Burma, Malaya, Indonesia, Singapore, and some key Pacific islands. And yet, all these victories could only blunt the Union. Eagle Union still retained the industrial advantage and would soon be churning more ships out of its harbours continuously, faster, and faster" The speaker says
"Another miracle from the heavens would be very much appreciated" Taihou says sarcastically
(Like how I need a miracle to escape from Albacore) Taihou thought
"By 1943 there remained one last focal point against the Axis powers in Europe, the defiant Royal Navy. Entrenched on their island, surrounded by the remnants of the Norwegian, Danish, Iris, Polish, and Dutch armies now being joined by Eagle Union and her full-throated backing, the chances of crushing the island nation seemed nigh impossible" The speaker states
"That does seem impossible.. unless someone decides to stab a knife in the back for certain purposes" Agincourt says while sipping her tea
"Yet all it took was a knife in the back from a neutral country, the Republic of Ireland"
Agincourt spit her tea back into the cup, as the shipgirls were stunned
"The Irish had accepted the inevitability of the Reich's victory and chose to help the Nazis, agreeing to invade and occupy Northern Ireland, ensuring the loss of the Irish Sea and granting Iron Blood the ability to choke Atlantic convoys" The speaker says
"TRAITOR" Queen Elizabeth yells as Warspite and Agincourt calm her down
"Simultaneously, Iron Blood commenced Operation Sea-Lion. Now with Irish compliance and the logistics to ensure a nominal chance for success, Hitler gambled on invading the Royal Kingdom. With the Royal Navy spread thin in different theatres, the Kriegsmarine smashed their way through the Royal Home Fleet. Overhead, the Luftwaffe engaged the Royal Air Force while Iron marines landed on the South Coast of England of the Royal Kingdom" The speaker says as we see clips of battles and invasion
The Royal Navy and Iron Blood shipgirls were watching in great disbelief
"No.. this is not true.... this is impossible!" Javelin says as her friends come over to comfort her while the rest were silent
"Gradually the invaders achieved air superiority allowing for additional paratroopers to descend. Despite a spirited resistance, the Wehrmacht fiercely advanced through the country as Iron Blood forces approached London." The speaker says
"The immediate evacuation of senior government officials and the Royal Family itself was enacted despite significant reluctance from both King George V and Prime Minister Winston Churchill to abscond from the capital given the dire circumstances" The speaker states
"I appreciate that they just want to serve the nation and not give up, but they must know when to retreat for the meantime to recover..." King George V says hesitantly
"Royal and free forces continued to fight bravely but were pushed back to the Scottish border; Eagle Union forces coupled with arriving Maple forces were rushed alongside Royal regiments to the front. The allied commanders such as Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery and General Dwight D. Eisenhower led Commonwealth, Union, and various Free forces in exile against the oncoming Wehrmacht, organizing a defensive line. Together allied forces held the Scottish border" The speaker states as the battle continues
"With England under occupation, the Royal Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland capitulated and shortly thereafter, surrendered entirely to the Iron Blood Reich. With this, the isle fragmented into the independent states of Wales and Scotland, seizing the opportunity to declare independence and spare themselves the fate of a now fallen England." The speaker says as we see men surrendering, negotiations, etc.
Everybody was silent
"What was left of the Free governments, those that had been in exile since 1939 onwards, fled again to Eagle Union or to the distant and relatively safe shores of Terra Australis, New Zealand, and Maple Monarchy; joined now by the latest government in exile, the Royal Navy's government in exile even as they defiantly roared to fight on from these, the last of the Kingdom's domains" The speaker says
"Even with defeat after defeat.. they still continue to fight on. I'm not sure if I should admire them or call them foolish to do so..." Jean Bart says
"In truth, this marked the end of much of the Commonwealth's participation in the war in any tangible and material manner, with Terra Australis declaring herself a Republic to spare herself in the Pacific whilst Maple Monarchy and New Zealand now assumed defensive postures with what was left of the Royal Commonwealth forces, the Empire itself collapsing in short order." The speaker states
"The Royal Raj of India already in turmoil as of 1943 fragmenting in to ever unruly and disparate forces whilst its African possessions were swallowed by Sardegna Empire, Iron Blood, and even native populations as the resent of years of colonial rule saw the collapse of even the Free Iris bar their last, meagre hold-out in West Africa and across other smaller island territories. With the evacuation of Allied troops in Scotland, the war in Europe came to an end." The speaker says
"But instead of Azur Lane winning, the Axis powers won" Graf Zeppelin says
"All there is now is the Pacific Front, which I think will also end soon.." Hammann says while hugging Yorktown
"The battle had been lost, but the World War hadn't. President Kennedy had won re-election in 1940, but opted to obey the unwritten two-term rule. His Vice President, Harry S. Truman, won the 1944 election promising the Union people that they could still win" The speaker says
"Unless something goes wrong nya.." Akashi says
"In the hope of forcing the Sakura Empire out of the war, Eagle Union had adopted a strategy of leapfrogging. The war in the Pacific had turned against the Sakuranese; the Imperial Navy was now avoiding any pitched battles until they could guarantee an absolute naval victory" The speaker says
"All they need is to win a few or just one decisive battle, and sheer dumb luck of course" Hiryu says
"That time would finally come in 1945 during the battle of Iwo Jima, the Imperial Navy lured Eagle Union into over-committing their forces which were subsequently exploited by the Combined Fleet in a brilliant maneuver. The Union fleet was decimated but the Imperial Navy suffered casualties so enormous they could never be replaced. Iwo Jima proved to be the largest naval battle in history" The speaker states as we see clips of said largest battle
The shipgirls don't want to imagine to losses, especially if its the largest naval battle in history
"There you go.. a decisive battle" Denver says
"Many losses... but it is still a victory nonetheless" Enterprise says
"Despite the loss, Eagle Union still believed they could still win" The speaker says
The shipgirls lowered their heads, something bad was going to happen
"They need to know when to stop..." Yorktown says
"But that's when it happened, on July 4th 1945, the people of Hawaii were forever blinded by a second sun that suddenly rose in the early morning sky. An atomic bomb had been dropped on the island, carried by a long-range Iron Blood bomber." The speaker says as we see the bomb go off
The shipgirls had their eyes widened, some expected it but most did not
"Every clock on the island of Hawaii had stopped at exactly 8:39 am. Fifty thousand people were killed in an instant" The speaker states
"We.. invented the nuclear bomb in that world as well..." Bismarck says in horror
"The Cold War is inevitable then.." Mikasa says fearing of what could become of her nation
"The remnants of the mighty Pacific Fleet stationed in the Harbor were annihilated, and now Eagle Union knew the war was truly lost. President Truman announced that Eagle Union would be seeking a conditional surrender with the Sakura Empire and Iron Blood" The speaker states
"What about Sardegna Empire? What happened to them?" Albacore asks
"I think alter Sardegna is under the rule of the Reich.." Roma says causing her fellow Sardegnian kansens to shudder
"In late August 1945, onboard the Akagi, Truman signed the Official Peace Accords, ending the Second World War, now known as the Akagi Accords" The speaker says as Akagi's ship is shown completely in a perfect state
Akagi and Kaga along with their juniors were shocked
"Aren't our ships outdated already?" Kaga asks
"Yes.. I'm surprised we didn't get destroyed at all. I think our ships might receive a modernization in that world..." Akagi says as Nagato takes note, their ships really need modernization like one simple dive bomb would be immediate scuttling or an explosion
"Eagle Union was forced to surrender the territory of Hawaii to the Sakura Empire, along with almost all of its Pacific possessions. In addition, large ports and naval bases in Los Angeles and San Francisco were to be leased to Japan in perpetuity" The speaker says
"I.. think that's fair" Ticonderoga says
"Eagle Union had lost its first-ever war in history and was left humiliated" The speaker states. All that remained was the war between Dragon Empery and the Sakura Empire" The speaker says
"That's still going on?" Yat Sen says shocked
"The Dragon United Front had continued to resist the invader but now, with the sudden withdrawal of Union supplies and air units, the last lifeline to the United Front was gone. The remaining free Dragon Empery territory was dealing with widespread famine and lack of arms" The speaker states
The Dragon Empery shipgirls lowered their heads
"The Sakura Empire in a ruthless advance managed to finally reach Chonging resulting in the last battle of the Second World War. Dragon Empery had fallen, the triumphant Sakura Empire proclaimed 'Peace in Asia and peace in the world'. It was finally over" The speaker says as we see many men cheering
"The war is over.. but I can't imagine the suffering to come in the aftermath... the innocent lives lost.. the children..." FDG says
"The Axis winning is definitely not a good thing for the world.. to think we're defending humanity..." Georgios Averof says
"The Greater Iron Reich had risen from the World War as the unquestioned hegemon of Europe. The 'Endsieg' 'The Ultimate Victory' was at the cost of innumerable innocent lives achieved" The speaker says as we see Hitler with many people doing the salute
The kansens grow immediately mad when seeing him
"So this is how liberty dies.." Hood says
"Now the New Order marches, burying millions under its brutal reign as the last lights of freedom threaten to be extinguished.. as the curtain descends upon the world, the cold war begins..." The speaker says as the video ends
The kansens were silent, no words were said. It just didn't feel right in the moment
"We need a break.." Unicorn says after she gathered up her courage to speak
"You have 20 minutes"
