"Good morning---M-ma'am..."
Her secretary's smile froze while staring at her belly. Para itong kinagatan ng ahas sa gulat.
Yeah, the public still didn't know that she's pregnant. Only her family when she revealed it on that family lunch and fortunately, Tito Heazer isn't around so her pregnancy still didn't spread.
Tumango siya dito at saka pumasok sa opisina. Itinaas niya ang blinds kaya tumambad ang glass wall. Saktong nakaharap siya sa kompanya ng binatang nasa tabi ng kanya ay nahuli niya itong nakatayo at nakatitig na sa kanya.
She suck on her breath, didn't able to move for a second then felt her cheeks blushing. She taken a back seeing him preparing to see her as if he can see her even with the blinds down!
Tinuro niya ang mesa para sabihin ditong magsisimula na siyang magtrabaho. Sampong metro lang kasi ang layo ng kompanya niya sa binata. Their building is that close that's why they have a clear view of each other.
Magnus nodded as if letting her do her walk, pero hindi pa rin ito umaalis sa kinatatayuan at nanatiling nakatitig sa kanya. Sa hiya, kahit wala naman dapat na ikahiya ay tinalikuran niya ito at lumapit sa mesa para simulan ang trabaho.
She focused on her work, kahit paminsan-minsan ay hindi niya napipigilan na silipin ang binata. For sure her neck needs massage later because of the countlesss time she have been glancing at him.
Mukhang napapansin din ng binata ang titig niya kaya mabilis siyang umiwas ng tingin at kunwari nagtitipa ng mabilis. Kinunot pa ang noo para ipakitang abala siya sa ginagawa.
When she felt he's not looking anymore, muli siyang lumingon dito. He's calling someone on phone now and that makes her brows furrowed.
Sino naman ang tinatawagan nito? Can't that caller just set a personal meeting para makita naman niya kung sino ang kausap nito?
Nang lumingon si Magnus sa kanya ay hindi niya napigilang irapan ito at nagpatuloy sa pagtipa. Para hindi halatang nagpapanggap lang siya sa pag-type, she printed the document she was working on.
Her phone rang while the paper is printing. It's Magnus calling. After talking for someone else, siya naman? It's her time slot now?
Napairap siya at pinatay ang tawag nito. She pick the document sge printed and pretend to read it to show it to him that she's really busy. But to her surprise, she almost fall on her seat upon reading what she typed.
'I hate the way you stare because it made me shiver. Hated when you caught me glancing at you because you won't give me a chance to watch you WHY ARE YOU KEEP ON LOOKING?! Why did you look away after I avoid your gaze? But why when I look at your eyes I feel like I'm im a maze DON'T LOOK WHEN I'M GLANCING...I don't feel your stares anymore, you're probably busy WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO?! YOU CAN'T EVEN CALL ME WHEN YOU NOTICE THAT WE KEEP ON GLANCING ON EACH OTHER. I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU, MAGNUS.'
Her eyes widen on the words she typed. Napalunok siya at agad na nilukot iyon at itinapon sa mesa. What the hell. Those capslock are probably when she feel agitated everytime he glance back.
Napabuga siya ng hangin at napahilot ng sintido. This all her pregnancy hormone's fault! Talagang pinaglilihian si Magnus ng dinadala niya. She's really using her pregnancy as an excuse, huh?
Muntik na siyang mapatalon sa kinauupuan ng bumukas ang pinto. And the one who keeps messing up her mind barged in to her office. Walking in like a proud God of Olympus.
"Hey, wife." He greeted coolly.
"Don't you have work?" Pagtataray niya dito.
Umayos siya ng upo at pasimpleng pinasadahan ng himas ang ulo niya kung perperkto pa rin ba ang pagka-bun n'on. Baka nagulo? She's just checking if she still look presentable, okay? Not because she's conscious because Magnus is here---
"Your bun is perfect." He said in his usual cold tone kaya hindi niya alam kung papuri iyon o sinabihan lang siya para matigil ang kamay niyang hindi namalayan na kanina pa pala naglalandas sa ulo niya.
"Uh, yeah. Of course..Ha-ha." Ilang na saad niya at sinabayan pa ng tawa na mas lalong nagpailang dahil hindi naman siya palatawa.
"So, don't you have work?" Pormal na tanong niya dito.
Magnus stared at her intently. Lihim siyang napalunom dahil parang may iba siyang nararamdaman maliban sa pag-iinit ng katawan. Before when Magnus look at her like that, his stares were like a match and she's a dried leaves. Kay daling kumalat ng apoysa katawan niya and she know she's lusting Magnus before but now is just so different. She's just not lusting him. Hindi na puro tawag ng laman. She's starting to feel more conscious around him.
"You're not answering my calls, seems like you wanna talk to me in person." He said in baritone voice.
His voice is giving her chills. Pasimple siyang napahugot ng hangin habang nakikipagtagisan dito ng titig. Parang malalagutan na siya ng hininga. What the hell is happening?
"Tss. I don't even wanna talk to you." Pagsusungit niya dito at inirapan ito.
Nilipat niya ang tingin sa monitor para ipakitang abala siya kunwari pero nanlaki ang mata sa gulat ng makitang naka-open pa rin ang document na gawa niya kanina. Agad niyang isinara iyon dahil baka makita pa ng binata. Kahit nasa tapat niya ito at nakatalikod dito ang monitor ay pakiramdam niya ay mabibisto siya.
Magnus dragged the visitor's chair to make it face her. Umupo ang binata doon kaya magkaharap na sila. Tanging mesa lang ang nasa pagitan.
"That's why I'm here to settle that. Why does my wife don't wanna talk to me?" He asked with a secret playfulness on his voice.
Sinimangutan lang niya ito.
Magnus raised a brow at her.
"Or maybe, my wife hates talking to me...but loves to steal glances on me?" He teased.
"I'm not! Why would I? I'm so busy." She answered in unintentional defensive tone.
Umangat ang sulok ng labi nito. Mas lalong nag-init ang pisngi niya at umakyat na ata 'yon sa ulo niya. Nandito lang ba ito para asarin siya?
"Hmm. Let's see your work then." He said coolly and pick up her crumpled paper on her table.
Inirapan lang niya ito at pinukos ang tingin sa monitor. Magnus is already reading her work when she realized what he was holding.
"Magnus Sebastian!" Dumagundong ang boses niya sa bawat sulok ng opisina.
But too late, nakangisi na si Magnus at tapos na nitong nabasa. Kumalat ang init sa pisngi niya at nagmartsa papunta sa direksyon nito at tinangkang agawin ang papel pero mabilis na ibinulsa ng binata at swabeng hinawakan siya sa bewang para maupo sa kandungan nito.
"Give me that!" Giit niya at pilit na pinapasok ang kamay sa bulsa nito pero pinipigilan ng binata ang kamay niya.
"It's dedicated to me, so it's mine."
Masama ang tingin niya dito habang magaan naman ang awra ng binata. His face is lit up as if he had won lottery. But jokes on her, Magnus doesn't even care if he won a lottery.
Tumigil na lang siya sa pagpumiglas at iniwas ang tingin. Nakakandong pa rin siya dito ng pagilid. Ang isang kamay nito ay nakayakap sa bewang niya at ang isa ay hawak ang dalawang kamay para mapermi.
"Tss. I just got that from the internet." Pagsisinungaling niya para masalba ang mukha sa kahihiyan.
"Hmm? Who's the author then?" Pagsasakay nito sa kanya.
And its obvious he's not taking her seriously! Napairap na lang siya dito.
"I forgot! I just printed it." She hissed.
"Hmm. So the brilliant lady boss is printing out someone's work without giving credit to the author? Plagiarism is a crime."
Mas lalo niyang sinamaan ng tingin ito. Why is he enjoying that she's in the center of embarrassment? Tuwang-tuwa pa ito sa kahihiyan niya. Tsk. Tsk. Maybe up until now Magnus is still planning on her downfall, huh?
"Shut what you're thinking and just admit the truth, wife." He snapped her thoughts that made her go back on the reality.
"That's the truth. What do you want me to admit? That I made that trashy cringe poem---"
"It's not trashy and never a cringe. You can beat the hell out of Shakespeare of your piece---"
"Magnus!" Namumulang saway niya dito.
Magnus laughed loud on her reaction. Nais niyang ibaon ang mukha sa balikat nito para itago ang kahihiyan. He's enjoging teasing her! Anong beat the hell out of Shakespeare? Talagang nang-aasar!
Kinagat niya ang balikat nito para matigil sa pagtawa. Magnus groaned and look at her softly after her bite to tell her that no more biting. Pero natuwa siya sa agad na pagsumamo ng mukha nito kaya muli niyang kinagat ito sa balikat.
"Wife..." Malambing na pigil nito dahil bahagyang dumiin ang pagkagat niya.
"Are you H?" She asked.
"H?"
"Hurt." She smirked and bite him again.
"Hmm. Yes, I'm H but not that H." He said lowly.
"Huh?" Takang tanong niya at bahagyang nilayo ang mukha para masilayan ito.
"I'm horny." He admit.
Her eyes widen and now she just noticed that he's getting harder on her butt. Madilim na rin ang titig nito sa kanya and she knew that look. That hungry look that no one can ever stop Magnus from claiming her.
"Behave! You're in my office!" She hissed processionally.
Tatayo na sana siya para umalis sa kandungan nito but Magnus held her waist to keep her in place and put a kiss on her neck.
"Bite me again?" He plead hoarsely making her shut her legs tightly when she feel the tingling sensation in between it.
Damn it. He really know how to play his game.
"No." She said coldly.
"Ah...still the stubborn Hera."
Napasimangot siya sa sinabi nito.
"You'll regret this." She hissed then lean closer to bite on his neck.
Magnus groan and his held on her waist went tighter. Ang isang kamay nito ay humahaplos na sa hita niya. She was enjoying biting his neck when the door opened.
Nagkatinginan ang gulat na mata nila ni Tito Heazer. Agad siyang napatayo ng pormal habang umungol naman ng protesta ang binata. Nanatili pa rin itong nakaupo.
"Did you just confirmed the rumor that Benjamins are vampires?" Heazer Benjamin, CEO of BNJMN Entertainment, ask after he gain back his composure.
"Why didn't you knock, Tito?" She asked coldly and look on Magnus' hands that's busy fixing her skirt.
Namula siya sa ginawa nito kaya siya nalang nagpatuloy sa pag-ayos ng pananamit. Tinikwasan naman sila ng kilay ng kanyang tiyuhin.
"I keep on knocking for more that a minute, pamangkin." Tito Heazer said cooly then shrugged and finally step inside.
"Why didn't you at least inform me that you're coming?" Tanong niya.
"Why didn't you at least inform me that you're pregnant?" Balik na tanong nito.
Natahimik naman siya.
"You know how painful it is? Being the number one gossip man, Heazer Benjamin, is late on knowing that Hera Benjamin, take note that she's her niece, is pregnant?!" Tito Heazer said dramatically.
Napabuga siya ng hangin at napahilot ng sintido. Gossip man. Tito Heazer really learned his strategy on how to make his Entertainment be the leading in showbiz industry. Kailangan maging chismoso para makakalap ng impormasyon tatalakayin sa media nito.
"It's still not known to public. I'm planning to tell it to you when I'm ready to publicized my pregnancy." Sabi na lang niya para pampalubag loob dito.
"As you should! You know how much those cheap tabloids irritate the hell out of me when they're making up stories about you only marrying Magnus for money? People buy it immediately! They shouldn't believe it because it doesn't come from the most credible person in showbusiness, which is me." Problemadong saad nito.
"But now, I'm going to teach them wrong because you aren't just leeching for Magnus' power. Hindi dapat sila magpapaniwala sa mga imbentador."
Coming from the man who makes juicy article of her and Magnus way back when the two of them still haven't married. But anyways...
Naramdaman niya ang kanay ng binata sa bewang niya. He already stood up. Nakita ng Tito niya ang kamay nitong nakapwesto sa bewang niya kaya napangisi ito.
"So, for the billion-dollar question... how did you know that you're already in love with each other?" The ever manipulative gossip Benjamim asked wickedly.
That made them froze.
Ain't that the question that they've been asking on their selves?
