I slowly entered the house and closed the door behind me. I looked at the living room and was puzzled to see my mom sobbing. I dragged my bag pack into the house, walking towards her.
"Ottuke!" She cried out and she was crying very hard, while dad sat beside her patting her back.
"Eo-Eomma what's wrong?" I asked and my parents looked at me.
"H-Hyejin ah..." My dad sighed.
I looked at him in confusion, but they're not saying anything.
"Appa what's wrong?!" I raised my voice, frustrated because I'm so lost at the situation.
"Hyejin... your halmeoni... she's gone..." Mom said in between her sobs.
I dropped my bagpack and stared at her in shock.
"W-What? I don't believe you!" I was breathing really fast, tears starting to form in my eyes, my lips quivered, and I was close to fainting.
"...Her neighbour called us and told us about it. She actually had some disease that weakens the immune system, and now she's... she couldn't survive it and she has passed away," my dad explained.
I fell to the floor, crying hard.
"This is all your fault! We should've seen halmeoni the other day!" I yelled at my mom.
My mom didn't respond to me and kept crying.
"Your daughter's right. Why did you prioritise your work?" My dad said to my mom.
"Shut up," my mum said to my dad, "What do you know better than to fault me huh?!"
"I'm just saying the truth, what's wrong with you?!" My dad shouted at her.
They quarrelled, again, and I'm extremely disappointed.
"STOP FIGHTING!" I erupted out of anger. "THE TWO OF YOU ARE THE WORST PARENTS EVER! Halmeoni just passed away and you both are still fighting over stupid things! Why can't we just love each other as a family?!"
I stared at them and tears fell. I stomped out of the house and ran away, crying my lungs out. I just came home for peace, but I'm all messed up again.
I sighed. I'm really tired.
I took out my phone and texted Taehyung.
"Can we meet? I'm feeling really down right now." --Hyejin
I reached the park and sat down on a bench, checking my phone.
"Okay, I'm already on my way to the park." --Taehyung
Tears were still streaming down my face. I just can't believe halmeoni's gone. I dialled her number on my phone and called.
"Halmeoni... please pick up..." I mumbled to myself.
There wasn't any respond. She's really not coming back, is she?
I hung up and buried my face in my two hands.
"Hyejin ah!" Taehyung called me, running towards me, panting.
Before I could explain anything, he sat beside me, wrapping his arms around me, hugging me real tight.
"T-Taehyung..." I continued sobbing in his chest.
"Shhh, don't say anything yet. You need to calm down first okay," he said, still trying to catch his breath while holding onto me.
"My grandmother's gone..." I said in a weak voice.
I pulled away from the hug, wiping away my tears. "I'm so sorry, I'm too emotional. I just don't wanna get back home. My parents are fighting again," I said.
I sat back up properly.
"It's okay, you want to come to my place first?" He asked.
"Anniyo... aren't your parents home?" I said.
"They will be, but they haven't. Let's go," he said and pulled me up.

We reached his house and I plopped down on the sofa, sighing. I closed my eyes slowly and a tear rolled down my cheek.
"Why are you still crying?" Taehyung asked and sat beside me.
"My grandmother, there's no other people that I love more than her. But now she's gone and I haven't even get to see her in awhile," I explained, sounding a little weak, "I have no one else now."
Taehyung gently wiped my tears away using his thumb and he said, "You have me don't you? I mean, I'm not that nice all the time and I'm unable to comfort someone easily but, I can listen to you."
I slightly smiled at him. We continued chatting for awhile, and I must say I got better after talking to him.
"It's getting late, I should get home," I said and checked the time, it's almost 7pm.
"You sure you wanna get home? You'll be okay?" Taehyung asked.
I nodded. I stood up and was about to get out of the house when suddenly I saw a posh car parking infront of the house. "Are those your parents?" I asked Taehyung.
We stared at each other.
"My parents will kill me if they find out I bring a girl over," Taehyung said and gulped. We both quickly ran up to Taehyung's room.
I hid in his walk-in closet while he pretended to be resting on his bed.
I peeped through the blinds of the closet and saw Taehyung's mom.
"Taehyung ah," she called him and he went up to her for a hug. "Let's go have dinner," I heard her spoke and they went out of the room.
I sighed. I'm disturbing him from having quality time with his family.

An hour later or so, I was fast asleep in the closet on the floor.
"Yaahh... Pabo Jinnie," a voice woke me up. I slightly open my eyes and looked up to see Taehyung. I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes.
"My parents are out again because they have a wedding invitation in America in two days but they'll have a holiday there as well so I guess they won't be home for long again," Taehyung said.
"Well, they're on holiday together at least. My parents don't even celebrate their anniversaries," I said and sighed.
Taehyung dragged me out of the closet and I stood infront of him, my eyes were still sleepy.
"You wanna go home already?" Taehyung asked me.
I shrugged. "I don't know where to go, but I'll leave now. Thanks for today," I said and was about to walk out of his room when he gently grabbed my hand and I turned to face him.
"Don't go," he said. "If you don't mind staying over, I don't mind having you at my place, just for today. I don't think you're ready to be home."
I stared at him for moments before breaking into a weak smile. "Thanks," I said and quickly threw myself on the bed.
"Yaahh! That's my bed!" Taehyung started whining.
I slightly chuckled, "Araseo, I'll just sleep on the floor."
I went to wash up before sleep and changed out of my school uniform into a red coloured sweater and pyjama pants with cute donut prints on it that Taehyung lent me. It was pretty big but I like oversized shirts.
I returned to Taehyung's room and laid on the cold, hard floor. Taehyung also came in the room wearing a plain tshirt with banana prints pyjama pants.
"Are you crazy? How can you sleep on the floor?" He said.
"Then where else can I sleep?" I asked as I tied my hair into a lose ponytail.
"On the bed. I'll go sleep in my parent's room," he said.
I nodded. He went out and closed the door. I plopped on the comfortable bed and covered myself with the warm, comfy blanket. The pillows, the blanket, they all smell like him.
All the lights were off except the table lamp by the bed. I stared at it as I kept thinking of grandmother. Once again, I cried to sleep.

About 1am, I woke up and felt someone holding my hand.
I squinted to see who it was. Taehyung was sitting by the bed, his head resting on the bed, asleep. I looked at his hand that was holding onto mine. Should I pull my hand away? What is he doing here?
I cleared my throat and he instantly woke up. "What are you doing here," I asked him.
"Uh, oh uhm," He put his hand away from mine, "I forgot my lion stuffed toy."
He grabbed his stuffed toy and stood up. "Sorry, goodnight," he said and quickly went out of the room.
I looked at him in confusion.
Why was he there...? Holding my hand?
