THIRD PERSON POV

As Marco dogded the glass aimed at him. His security team was ready to take action but he put a finger up to stop them. They all remained on standby.

Quinn on the other had was furiously cursing and yelling in her languages while charging towards Marco.
She tried to fight Zion off when he held her back.

"You Bloody-" Quinn yelled as Zion lifted her off the floor to hold her back again.
She forced her feet back on the ground and pushed off Zion.

She turned towards Marco but was dragged out of the main hall and into one of the drawing rooms.

"Are you out of your mind?!" The person who pulled her out asked her.

"Yes I'm out of my mind! How dare he!?" She yelled trying to bite back her tears.

"Tesorina can you please calm down, you know he's not worth it," he told her.

Quinn was breathing heavily and was on the verge tearing up. Her anger was still radiating.
"I hate him, I hate him so much!" she groaned and sat down on the ground, folding herself into a ball as her tears slid down her face uncontrollably.

Lucas ran his hand through his hair then sighed. He always knew about Quinn and her father's relationship. He knew how much she's been holding in. How her father left her and her family and how that caused her to be who she is today.

He was about to kneel beside her when she wiped her tears and stood up. She always did this.

'A Queen mustn't cry long, she has to focus on turning her tears into diamonds for her crown.' she always said.

But he knew she had to let it all out. They stood looking at each other before he opened his arms and ran into them as her tears slipped again. They did not say a word as she stood in his embrace.

"Better?" he asked her when they pulled apart after sometime.

She nodded and sniffed before smiling, "I really don't know what would have happened in there."

"You trying to beat the hell out of your father," he joked, making her release a small laugh,
"Oh, and his bodyguards then tying you down."

This made them both laugh and he ruffled her hair.
      "Behave," she scolded.

"I think I have to leave now," She told him, "Let me just call my driver."

"Okay, get some rest Tesorina," he responded and she nodded in reply they both turned.

"Oh, Lucas," She called and they faced each other, "Thank you for being here."

"You're welcome," he replied and with that they parted ways.

ROYANNE

So a high-esteemed party sounded like great quality time with my boyfriend, who by the way just walked out with his ex.

Everyone was talking about what happened. Quinn must have really been upset.
Despite that this event was a no phone event, Marco Dela Cruz's security team did a sweep to make sure no one has any record what happened.

"Do you want to leave now?" Lucas asked as his arm went round my waist.

"Um yah," I said. He took my hand and ushered me out.
The car ride to his house was silent. Even when we arrived. I stood in the bathroom removing my makeup.

"Baby, what's wrong?" he said while hugging me from behind. Then began trailing kisses down my neck.

"Nothing, I'm just tired," I said. He stopped.

"I guess I should let you rest," he whispered into my ear. I swallowed and before I knew what I was doing, I pulled his head back to my neck.
I felt his smile on my neck before he laughed.

"Not tired anymore?" he teased. I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up and kiss me," I commanded.

"Gladly," he said before his lips met mine, the then lifted me and placed me on the counter by the sink.

"Did I tell you how much I love your dress?" he asked. His hand lingered on the zipper.

"Is this how to get someone naked," I teased.

"Did it work?" he asked with a smirk.
I kissed him in reply and he pulled the zipper down. Leading me to another amazing night in his arms.

We lay in each other's embrace after like third round that night. My mind went back to the night he asked me to be his girlfriend.

°°°
He had taken me to the jazz club we'd first properly talked. I made him do karaoke with me and had taken him dancing, it was a blast.
Then he'd taken me for dinner on a yacht. It was beautiful and so romantic. I stood by the railings admiring the view when he came behind me. It was there that he confessed his feelings.

"Did you enjoy your night?" he asked me.

"Of course I did, I had karaoke, I saw you dance and you took me for dinner on a yacht. I'm so happy," I told him.

"and I'll do anything I can to make sure that you are always happy. This smile of yours, I always want to see it," He told me while cupping my face and placing a kiss on my lips.

"Really?" I asked and he nodded.

"You brought this sunshine of yours when I was going through the storm. The storm may have past but I'm so used to your warmth, I don't want it to go," he said,
"I may have my flaws, but I'll try to work on them. I just need you in my arms, in my life.
You make me feel happier and I like you, I really do. So right here, right now. Royanne Ujasiri King, will you be my girlfriend?"

My hands were in his and be was trying hard not to shake. He was so nervous. I said yes and kissed him. Fireworks went off from the shore line.

"You even prepared fireworks," I said while pulling away, "what if I said no?"

"They would have been the start of plan B. If push came to shove then they would have been for comfort." he said,

°°°
I smiled when I thought about that moment and fell asleep in his arms.

DEMETRI

My life recap currently; The Lakers won the championship, Quinn did not show up, Quinn had also been ghosting me, the world still thinks I'm with Royanne despite the no we've been hinting.
Oh and my dad said no swim season for me this year. Gotta focus on school. 'Get your Bachelor of Arts in philosophy so that you are well prepared for law school.'
    Ughh...

"So you two still haven't talked?" Lorr asked me as we walked into the sports center.

"Nope and the last time I saw her, let's just say it wasn't the right time," I said while recalling that night's events.

"Hello boys, long time no see," Angus, the guy in charge said.

We both said hey back. This sports center was the first place I started playing basketball at when I moved here.

"What can I do for you boys this late?" he asked cheerfully.

"I need just came to collect something from my locker," I said.

"Go ahead, you still remember your combination?" he asked and I nodded.

"Thanks, Lorr, let's go," I called out.

"Uh you'll find me here bro," he said.

I turned to find him talking to a pretty blond girl. I shook my head and went to the locker rooms.

After collecting the envelope, I put it in my gym back and locked the locker. I decided to take a walk around the center instead.

I heard a ball being vigorously bounced from one of the rooms. I opened the door and almost got hit by a ball.

"Ay, relax. I'm pretty sure the basket is behind you," I said and she turned to me.

Quinn. With how she's been ghosting me this past month, I honestly thought she'd walk away but she did not.

"Sorry, I.. I was just practicing a new move," Quinn said.

"So, can you play now or you're still a 'star'?" I asked her teasingly while putting my gym bag down and walking towards her.

She noted my sarcasm and rolled her eyes. She picked up a ball and threw it towards the basket and it hit the backboard. She turned to me and smiled triumphantly.

"I'm still a star," she said making me smile.

"I have a complaint though," I announced and she swallowed.

   "Si?" she managed.

"There's this really beautiful and talented designer who abandoned her work on my lake house and assigned some guy to do it, can you believe her audacity?" I playfully complained.

"What if she got busy?" Quinn asked while throwing the ball to me.

"Well... She could have at least said something and not entirely treated me like I didn't exist," I responded while catching the ball then throwing it through the hoop.

She became silent and looked at the ground. Weird.
"I'm really sorry about that," She said,
"I know I should have handled this better but I've been in and out of my head lately and I'm making very wrong decisions in my life.
I'm so confused, I just don't know what to do anymore."

I remained quiet. In all honesty I expected her to divert the situation.

" And why are you complaining about Praram? He's one of the best people I have," She said while changing the subject.

I wanted to talk more about what's bothering her but it was fine. Her pace.

"Praram is very good at his job, Praram is also making moves on me," I replied and she laughed.

"Aww, someone has an admirer," she said.

I gave her a deadpan look that made her laugh harder.
"Hey, I didn't expect him to hit on you, but come on, he's the best." she defended.

"Okay fine, Paraam can keep the job," I stated,
"But can I have you back?"

And I did not mean that just as her working on my lake house. I wanted her back in my life.

She bit her her bottom lip before sighing. My eyes lingered on her lips before I snapped out of it.

"Fine, I'll do it but," she said then picked up a ball, "best two out of three, no rules."

"You're on," I said and we begun.

When she said no rules, she should have just said 'we're playing dirty.'
Her main tactics were distraction; she knew she has an effect on me, and she also kept the ball low.
In the end she still lost.

"That's not fair," she complained after I scored the third basket just for the sake.

"Says the girl who kept the ball at one foot above the ground," I said to her, "But I won so."

I extended my hand for her to shake. She looked at it then at me before putting her hand in mine.
