My heart is ocean-wild,
even when shrouded
by deepest night,
for the sea is my
only constant,
an opaque mystery
beneath stark moonlight,
and I look patiently for a sign
within the dark, velvet skies,
while the sand is
cold beneath me
and the tide a
constant sigh,
yet my wishes always linger,
neon drops on midnight shores,
and the waves will wash away
all the sins that
went before.
