Yeah, this is going to be reoccurring, with me updating once in a while.   Unfortunately, I had this in my files and forgot to submit it. Whoops! Hopefully, you will forgive me for the mix-up!

Enjoy this chapter even though it is short.

I had to cut my trip short with everyone. He would be coming around soon and most likely to the house. I needed to get there first before he did.

Who knew what he could do?

His presence alone made me sick to my core

Alina slithered into the bag

I grabbed my wand, strapped it to my waist, and threw the rest of my clothes into my bag. I did not bring much, so that was helpful.

"Where are you going," a voice asks.

I turn around to see Bellatrix at the entrance of the door. Her face looked surprised, and I could see she was confused and angered.

Damn it; I was so occupied that I did not hear her when she walked into the room. I needed to come up with something to say.

"I am packing," I said, taking my stuff into the bag.

Bloody hell, was that the only thing my mind could come up with.

My eyes followed back to the items I needed to concentrate on, but I wanted so badly to look at Bellatrix and talk to her in soft words and assure her that everything was gonna be fine. Even though I knew it was not.

"I can see that I am not blind," she says irritatedly. "Answer me; where are you going?"

She grew closer, trying to get my attention, but I could not dare look her in the eye. Her hand drifted to my own.

It pained me, but I reacted to her touch quickly, putting away my stuff.

"Lora Avery!"

I stopped.

The room seemed to have never been touched, almost empty as before. I now turned at her seeing her face full of anguish and sadness.

My actions already appeared to hurt her with how silent and stoic I was.

"I have been summoned back," a monotone sound came from my voice.

Her brows still furrow, "So that's it? You are just gonna up here and leave without telling me. One minute you profess your love for me and then go on your bloody merry way!"

I shake my head, damaged by her words, "No, that was never the case." I cupped my hands to her face, but she shoos them off, squeezing her hands into mine.

"So what is it then?"

I looked at her, unwilling to express the deterioration my soul had experienced at the hands of the Avery family.

"I am obligated by my family to go when summoned."

She did not seem pleased and squeezed my hands with much strength, "Everyone has to go when their family calls what it means to be a pure-blood wizard. I am just gobsmacked by how and why you are leaving so suddenly."

"It seems we have a new guest wanting me to join their ranks," I look at her, hopefully seeing if she could catch my hint.

Her face gradually began to put the pieces together and she let go of my hands probably now red from how hard she squeezed them.

"Can you not wait a little longer," I could feel the desperation in her voice.

"Sadly, if I were to disobey, there will be more damage than good from my being held here any longer."

I smile, trying to comfort her. She looked upset with my response.

"So you are going to give up without a fight," she lets go of my hand.

I sigh, "You know, I have often learned that one must know when to fight and when to secede. Right now, I know I must not fight if I still want to be with you."

I grab my hand, brushing against her cheek. I could see the slight redness forming in her eyes.

"We will meet again. This is not the end," I say, my breath slightly shaky.

She was holding back her tears; whether it was for her or me, I could not tell.

Her body then flung to me, holding me tightly as I could hear the small sobs of her voice into the air. If I was being honest, I wanted to cry too but not right now.

Or so I thought.

The tears in my own eyes formed as I hugged her tighter.

"Oh, Bellatrix, I love you ever so dearly. You are truly the only one in my heart."

Her dark black eyes stare into my own.

"I love how your eyes shift around, eager for adventure but filled with mischief. I love the way you bite your lips to hide your smile. How you cock your head to the side to try and intimidate others."

She let out a small chuckle as the streams of water fell onto her face.

"I love how strong you are and always so passionate about anything you set your mind to. I love your stubbornness and inability to accept that you are wrong. You are an amazing woman, never forget that" I laugh through the pain.

Right now, I had to comfort Bellatrix. I placed my lips on her forehead very softly.

Could she feel the trembling on my lips and the unsteadiness of my hands? It clearly did not matter because it was a comfort for us both.

Her eyes then began to slowly peer up at me. A small silence, a pause between us. Her lips then pressed against my own softly, and I could feel the soft tears press against my cheek. The softness of our lips pressing our one kiss soon turned into multiple small kisses.

We kissed each other repeatedly, so softly, not knowing when we would see each other again.

The only certain thing was that we were there together.

"Why are you all here," I say in confusion.

Narissa smiled as she looked up at Bella and me walking down the stairs.

"It is our little farewell to you," she says.

I look at Lucious, who stood behind Narissa and kept up the facade that he was superior to everyone. Apart of me

"I see; well, you do not have to do that," I say, smiling.

She shook her head, "Of course, we have to; you are our friend, and who knows when we will see you the last time. Snape has almost four years left, and I still have one more year before we graduate, and we do not know when we will all be together again."

I chuckled at her insight, "You are quite right. I sometimes forget that Snape is the baby in our little friend group. Got to take the new students under your wing."

Of course, he did not seem pleased with that information, but I could see a small smile nonetheless.

Each one gave me a hug, whispering words of encouragement and goodbyes. Lucious just counted to see how long to hug me.

I whispered back softly to him, "No hard feelings, mate."

Lucious appeared not to enjoy my words and ended the hug shortly. I wanted to trust Lucious, but I knew I could not really; he prioritized the pure-blood lineage more than friendship.

I just hope burning my bridge with him was a good thing and not something I would regret later.

Lucious then led us to the fireplace before giving me a pile of dark sand.

"Just say where you want to go and it will lead you there. It is kind of a barbaric way since you get soot all over yourself, but you seem like you are in a hurry," Lucious said, seemingly glad that I would get dirty and appear disheveled in front of the family.

I smirk.

Touche

"Goodbye, everyone,"

Bellatrix then went to give me one last hug, "Don't forget to write she whispered."

"I won't," I whispered back.

THe fireplace began to shift around making it big enough for me to stand underneath. Having the dark powder within my hand I held it out.

My hand squeezed tightly as I could feel the granule within it. My eyes drew to Bellatrix. If possible I could take her with me, and we could run away with one another. Being on the run would not be too bad.

Naricissa then grabbed Bellatrix's hand with a small smile forming on her face. Bellatrix squeezed back at her sister's hand.

No, Bellatrix loved her sister too much. I could not pull her away from her family. Her family needed her more than I.

I took a deep breath dropping the sand.

"Avery Manor."
