You smiled at the flight attendant warmly as you boarded the plane, Oliver had came and woken you up an hour before the flight, you at first were confused before he lead you through the back ways of the airport, apparently rich and powerful people don't have to go through TSA and are the first to board the plane, who would've guessed.
"Walt is very excited to meet you." Oliver says excitedly,
"When will my parents be there?" You asked quietly,
"They will arrive the day before the wedding." He answered quickly and you nod,
"I'm going to sleep, wake me up when we land please." You say before reclining your seat and snuggling up with the blanket you brought,
You truthfully didn't sleep much but you did pretend to sleep as much as you possibly could, in reality you were mentally mourning your entire life. Your job, your home, your car, your hobbies, and your lifestyle was now turned upside down. You had dreamt your life of your wedding day and now even that was being stripped from you, but it was worth it, for your parents who worked their entire lives away to raise you. These thoughts circled your head for hours.
You heard the stewardess over the intercom announce the landing, you pretended to be woken up by the loud announcement as you prepared to land, everything moved so fast and next thing you knew you were standing infront of the manor,
"Ah, (Yourname), this is your future husband, Walter De Ville." Oliver said as he directed you to a handsome man with slicked-backed black hair and piercing blue eyes, Walt gave you a warm smile and took your hand before gently kissing your knuckles,
"Please, call me Walt. I will do my best to get to know you over the upcoming days in between wedding planning, if there is anything you want let me know." He says warmly, for a moment you're taken off guard by how normal he is, he's handsome and charming and caring or so he seems to be,
"It's a pleasure to meet you, I was told we would be discussing my family here soon." You say as nice and calm as you can as someone walking into being stripped of their life,
"Ah, yes, we will go over that. I am more than happy to welcome your family back, it's a very admirable thing you are doing." Walt says, his eyes reflect sympathy as if he was capable of feeling but you highly doubt he is,
"In fact, why don't we go ahead and discuss that while your bags are being taken to your room, please come." He says as he motions you into his home, you follow him as best as you can while you admire the beautiful furniture and artwork that adorn the walls, you notice that it smells like cookie and smile to yourself, Walt seems to notice you looking around and he slows his walking pace, lightly guiding you while giving you plenty of time to look,
"I will have Mrs.Smith give you a tour here soon, afterall you need to know your way around your own home." Walt says, you stop and stare at him, this was your home, he was so open to showing you all he had to offer.
Walt noticed your look and he gave you a soft smile,
"I dont know what you've heard but I can assure you that you will be treasured." He says as he gently takes your hands in his, giving them a light, comforting squeeze as he does,
"I'm sorry, I just wasn't expecting you to just be so welcoming and kind." You say honestly and he chuckles lightly, before guiding you the rest of the way to the conference room, once you're in you see a big, empty table, Walt takes his seat and motions for you to sit next to him so you do,
"I had my lawyers draw up this contract, I will recite the agreement as you read so you will be able to know what you're signing before you do so," Walt says,
"Where's the rest of the family?" You ask surprised to see they're not here,
"This agreement is between me and you, your family harbors a lot of resentment towards what happened so I am going above them to ensure your family benefits from this agreement." He says and you nod,
"Okay, if you'll read along with me we can get started." You watch as he reaches over and turns on a tape recorder,
"It is August 22nd, in the year 2022 time of recording is 1:27pm, this discussion will be taped for legality purposes. Ms, (Firstname) Alexander do you agree for this to be recorded?" He asked
"Yes, I do." You say
"And do you verify that you are currently not under any duress or influence and are of sound mind?" He asked
"Yes, I am able and of sound mind." You say,
"The contract and agreement reads as follows: upon the union of Ms.(Yourname) Alexander and Mr.Walter De Ville, the estranged Alexander's (Mothers name) and (Fathers name) and descendants will be hereby entitled to financial and business compensation for not only the years estranged but also will receive equal pay out and equity from now until the family in unable to supply their end of the original agreement." He reads
"Do you agree with the following terms?" He asks
"I do." You say
"Is there anything you would like to add?" He asks
"No." You say and he nods,
"I, Walter De Ville, am now signing the agreement of my own free will and understanding." He says as he signs
"I, (Yourname) Alexander, am also signing this agreement of my own free will and understanding." You say as you sign, once you set the pen down Walt checks his watch,
"That concludes this recording, Date is August 22, 2022 and the time is now 1:40pm." He says before clicking the button off,
Walt turns to you with a smile,
"Thank you, I'm glad we were both able to agree. I'll show you to your room." He says as he opens the door, the two of you walk in silence towards your room, once there he opens the door for you and ushers you inside, you gasp at the room infront of you,
The walls are a deep purple color, a four poster bed sits in the middle with a luxurious comforter, you see a full sized wardrobe and vanity, there's also a connecting bathroom and a big, beautiful window with curtains that match the pale blue comforter.
"This is beautiful, it's like the size of my apartment." You say in awe as you look up at the chandelier, you look to see Walt leaning against the wall with a smile on his face,
"I'll let you get settled for a moment and then I'll be sending in Lucy and Viktoria they will be able to tell you some things you need to know about becoming my wife." He says as he walks up to you, he gently places a finger under your chin to make you look up at him before he places a soft kiss on your forehead and leaving the room,
You turn and begin unpacking your suitcase, you wondered when the rest of your things would arrive as you hung up some of your clothes in the wardrobe and placed the stuffed animal you brought on the bed, you begin looking for good places to hide your little stuff when a soft knock comes on your door,
"Come in!" You say, you watch as the door pushes open to reveal two women, one was a short blonde with soft features, and a bright smile. The other had dark hair and sharp features with beautiful bright red lipstick, you smiled at them as they walked in.
"I'm Lucy, it's so nice to meet you finally!" The blonde says as she pulls you in for a hug, you let out a small squeak before hugging her back, you look at the taller woman who is eyeing you up and down, she looks nervous her arms crossed over her body in a serious way, you pull away from Lucy and focus your attention on the other woman,
"I'm Viktoria, I will admit I expected you to look different." She says with a bit of snark in her tone, you glance at Lucy who is glaring at her,
"It's nice to meet you, Viktoria." You say as you hold out your hand for her to shake, she stares at it, clearly caught off guard that you're not being pissy towards her, she gently takes your hand and shakes it, you don't miss the large smile that spreads on Lucy's face as she does,
"Walter said that you would be telling me everything I needed to know about being his wife?" You asked and they both nodded and motioned for you to sit on the bed,
"So, first things first, we are Walt's other wives." Lucy says excitedly and you look at her blankly,
"Wait then why does he need me?" You ask confused,
"He needs a bride from each family, it represents the unity of the families, it's deeply symbolic." Viktoria says and you nod, that kinda makes sense,
"The other thing to know is we are all together, when you marry Walt you'll be marrying us aswell." Lucy says, her face looks as if she's fawning over a romantic movie,
"Oh, okay, that's fine by me." You say and Viktoria looks at you, her face is unreadable,
"Is there anything else?" You ask, the two girls share an intense look, as if they're debating something in their heads,
"There will be more to tell you after the wedding but for now we want to get to know you." Lucy says, her smile quickly returning to her face,
"You still sleep with a stuffed animal?" Viktoria remarks, your face floods red as you nod,
"Uh, yeah, their name is (stuffie name), I can't sleep without them." You mumble causing her to chuckle,
"That's too cute." She says, her velvety voice dripping with sincerity, the two of you spend a moment staring at eachother as she brushes some hair away from your face before pulling away,
"Lucy, perhaps we should take our leave, we do need to prepare for tonight's dance." She says,
"Oh, yes! That reminds me!" Lucy exclaims before going out into the hall, she quickly returns holding a box, she held it out to you and you lifted the top, inside laid a gorgeous soft pink floor length evening gown, you gasped at the soft, silky texture and oohed at the beautiful red beaded roses that adorned the skirt, you looked up at the two women,
"I can't accept this, it's too much." You whispered
"It's a wedding gift, to our future wife." Viktoria says softly and you feel the tears prickling your eyes as you gently take the dress, you hold it up to your body in the full length mirror and smiled, it would look beautiful on you,
"We are going to go get ready, I cannot wait to see it on you." Lucy says as she sits the box on the vanity,
"Thank you, so much." You says as they walk out, the both smile at you before closing the door, you wipe the tears from your face and begin to get ready, you shower quickly before putting some underwear and then the dress on, you struggled to zip it for a moment but quickly got it, you then applied some makeup doing your best to keep it natural and match the dress, you went to the wardrobe to find a pair of shoes only to find a silver pair of heels sitting where your shoes had, it matched the dress nicely as you slipped them on.
Once you were dressed you decided to go ahead and start trying to find the place you were ment to go, as you wondered you ran into a short woman with white hair who introduced herself as Ms.Smith, you introduced yourself as the bride to be and she smiled at you, the smile didn't quite reach her eyes but you didn't think much of it, she led you out to where you were ment to go and then disappeared before you could thank her, you make a mental note to think her when you see her next and walk through the archway, you hear your name announced as you walk through and people explode with applause, you give a small smile and try to ignore the anxiety rising in your body, you grab a glass of champagne off one of the server tray and begin sipping slowly,
"Viktoria Klopstock and Lucy Billington!" The butler says, you watch as the two breathtakingly beautiful women walk up to you, smiles gracing their faces,
"What do you think crawled up the butler man's ass?" You asked and the both laughed loudly,
"Oh my god, I hadn't thought of that, you're quite right though." Lucy laughed,
"You'll have to tell that joke to Walt, he will love it." Viktoria says and you smile at her, the two of you stand in comfortable silent for a moment before Victoria reaches over and plucks a few things from a passing servers tray and placing them on a small plate which she then hands to you,
"Here, you need to make sure you eat if you're going to be drinking that champagne, it goes straight to your head." She says, you take the plate from her and begin nibbling,
"Thank you, I really appreciate this." You say and she simply nods,
"You don't have to think me, I'm only taking care of what's mine." She says and you feel your face heat up from her words, you struggle to push down the smile that comes to your face but you do your best, knowing very well they're watching you, you're quickly pulled out of your thoughts by the butler announcing Walt, the three of you you turn and smile at him as he approaches,
"Ah, there you are, I take it the three of you are getting along?" He asks, you nod
"She's amazing." Viktoria says, Walt gives her a look you can't read but it's definitely not a bad one from your point of view,
"I do need to have this first dance with you." Walt says as he hands your drink and food to Lucy,
"Wait, no, I can't." You whisper worriedly, anxiety already swelling in your chest, making your body shake and your hands sweaty
"Sure you can, it'll be okay, I got you." Walt says with a charming smile, your fixate your eyes on his as he twirls you around, you can feel your heart racing.
You do your best to take deep breaths to calm yourself, you're okay, you mentally chant to yourself, but it's no use you feel dizziness set in and you close your eyes, doing your best not to puke, your ears begin ringing and you open your eyes you see black spots flood your vision, you can faintly hear Walt's voice saying something, the last thing you see as you fade out of consciousness is three very blurry and very worried faces crowding around you.
