"Ah, it's time." Gen Wolf said to himself. "Don't say it, Rei."
A playful giggle from the goddess in question echoed in his head like a ghost before it vanished
"Are you ok, Fitoria?" Keel asked concerned
"I'm fine. I...I just wish to see FIlo." Fitoria confessed
"I know how you feel. I wanna see Raphtalia." Keel admitted
"We're nearly done, you two." Gen Wolf informed, "Be patient."
Once everyone was back to the theater, the wolf continued the viewing.
The scene opens up to show the border between Melromarc and Faubrey. It was nice and peaceful.
Until it wasn't. A powerful beam of golden light struck down from the heavens, creating a large burning sinkhole-sized crater in the middle of the border.
"What was that?!" Lili exclaimed
"What just happened?!" Hestia followed up
1 Hour Earlier
"I hate openings like that..." Spider-Man groaned
"Let's be honest, who likes those kinds of openings?" Ryuji asked.
The group was teleported on the road via Fitoria's instant travel magic. As Fitoria promised, she would teleport them near one of the heroes, and Keith was already dreading it as he already knew who it was.
"Should I just knock myself out so I don't run out the room to punch him?" Lance asked rhetorically.
"Can you though?" Gen Wolf asked.
Raphtalia: Thank you so much for the ride, Fitoria. *bows* We appreciate it.
Princess Melty: And thanks for the new wagon you gave us as well.
Raphtalia: Yeah, Filo really seems to enjoy pulling them.
"Of course she does." Fitoria sighed fondly
Fitoria had a look of worry on her face. Keith noticed that and followed her gaze, which was towards Filo.
Filo, who was getting excited over the new wagon, noticed the others looking at her. Her wings, which were flapping so much like a wagging dog tail, stopped flapping. She gasps and hops down the wagon and raises her arms before declaring.
Filo: No take backs! It's all mine, okay!
She then changes into her filolial form, making the others giggle nervously.
"I promise no one will take your cart." T'Challa sweatdropped
Fitoria held that same worried look on her face
"Hey. The little lady will be fine." Erhard assured, headpatting the filolial queen
Zane: *mutters* I hope Fitoria didn't take offense to that...
"Offense to what?" Fitoria asked innocently
"Nothing."
Keith: *to Fitoria* So, there's another hero near here?
Fitoria turned her attention to Keith and nodded.
Fitoria: Very close, in fact.
Zane: Nice... Time to prepare myself for the incoming headache.
"Speaking of which, you got any pain meds? Pretty sure we're gonna need em." Hawkeye asked
Gen Wolf slid a cart full of aspirins.
Those from Avatar, Shield hero and Danmachi hovered over the meds like a bunch of curious children.
"What are these things?" Ty Lee asked
"Pain medication. Mostly for headaches." Gen Wolf said.
"Why are they so small? What are these?" Zuko asked, holding on of the pills
"You don't have pills where you come from?" Robin asked
"What's a pill?" Bell asked innocently
Fitoria: Glitch Heroes.
She looks to Filo, who was once again getting excited over the new cart.
Fitoria: Please take good care of her. *looks to Keith* And don't forget, you made me a promise.
"The bird kiddo's doing just fine. Trust me, I had to fight her and man, she can pack a punch. You should be proud." L'Arc said
Keith: *assuringly* I keep my promises.
The group, except for Keith, gets on the wagon.
Keith: I'm going to miss our nightly talks.
Fitoria: As will I.
Keith crouches down and pulls Fitoria into a hug, surprising the older filolial queen.
Keith: *softly* You're not alone, Fitoria. Even if your former master is gone, you can come find me and speak to me about anything.
Fitoria smiled at his kind words.
"You can talk to us as well, young Fitoria. If you wish." Thor offered
Fitoria smiles and hugs him back. They separate from the hug and Keith gives her one last pat on the head.
Keith: *smiles* Till we meet again, Fitoria.
Fitoria: *smiles* Until we meet again, Shield Hero.
Keith gets on the wagon and Filo starts trotting off, pulling the wagon with her. Raphtalia and Keith waved goodbye to Fitoria, who waved back. She lowered her arm and the worried look on her face returned.
In theater one, Filo could sense someone's worry.
"Someone's worried about me." Filo said as she started walking toward the theater doors
Filo was flown back to her seat by a magic carpet before it disappeared. "We're about to react, Filo." Genesis said.
"But someone needs me. Someone really familiar needs me." Filo said, even kicking her feet to move like a little kid
"You can visit that person later, Filo." Genesis told her.
"Come here." Raphtalia said softly as she picked Filo up and placed her on her lap while Filo huffed with her arms crossed
The group continued traveling, the sounds of Filo humming a happy tune was all that accompanied them.
Zane: Okay. Keith, please tell me you got a song that we can sing.
Keith: Why? Don't you like hearing Filo hum?
"Her humming's cute~" Hestia cooed
Zane: I do. It's just that we've been listening to her humming everyday when we used to have our old wagon.
Yanoka: He does have a point. No offense, Filo.
Filo: None taken.
Frostine peaked from underneath Keith's coat, still in her hatchling form.
Frostine: *nervously* I-Is the b-big bird gone?
"I forgot she was still hiding." Mai admitted
"She's officially terrified of Fitoria." Zuko agreed
Keith: Yes, she's gone. You can come out now.
Frostine hopped out of Keith's coat and transformed back into her human form in a puff of snow. She sat down next to Keith and hugged his arm while snuggling against his shoulder.
Keith didn't object and began thinking of a song that would fit this travel of theirs. He smiles once he remembers one.
Keith: 🎶 Almost heaven, West Virginia. Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River. 🎶
"Whoa...he can sing." Korra gaped
"And he sounds great. His throat is so much better now." Aang said
"Country Roads by John Denver. Kid's got good taste." Tony approved
"He got the Tony Stank stamp of approval." Hawkeye smirked
"What was that, Legolas?" Iron man warned while the others smirked
Zane: Ah, Country Roads, huh? You're a big fan of John Denver, aren't you.
Keith: It's the only one I remember that's fitting this scenario. 🎶 Life is old there, older than the trees. 🎶
Raphtalia: Is that a song from your world?
Zane gave her a nod. Frostine was just listening to her master sing, feeling mesmerized by his voice like she was listening to a siren's song. If the siren was a boy.
"He does sound pretty good." Asami said
"What's a siren?" Bolin asked
"Another name for a mermaid." Zatanna answered.
A what?" Lin asked confused
"Nevermind." Zatanna sighed.
Keith: 🎶 Younger than the mountain, blowing like a breeze. 🎶
Zane: 🎶 Country Roads, take me home, to the place, I belong... West Virginia, Mountain momma, take me home, country roads. 🎶
The rest of the group were surprised that Zane could sing, let alone have a good deep singing voice.
"Zane too?" Hunk gaped
"Seems these two are men of many talents." Yamato approved
Keith: *surprised* You can sing?
Zane: You're not the only one with hidden talents, my friend.
Keith: *smirks, country accent* 🎶 All my memories, gather round her. Miner's lady, stranger to blue water... 🎶
"He can do it in a country accent too?" Wasp gaped
"It's official. Keith is multi-talented." Ant-Man nodded
Gen Wolf was so tempted to show his family singing to it just to embarrass them
Zane: 🎶 Dark and dusty, painted on the sky. Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye. 🎶

"This song's catchy." Aang said
"Better than the 'secret tunnel' one." Sokka muttered to himself enjoying the music
Zane: 🎶 I hear a voice, in the morning hour, she calls me. The radio reminds me of my home far away. 🎶
Keith: *country accent* 🎶 Drivin' down the road I get a feelin' that I shoulda been home yesterday, yesterday... 🎶
The Hestia familia was clapping to the beat.
Fitoria politely clapped along while Keel was was swaying side to side with a bright smile on her face
Batman subtly tapped his finger on his bicep, something only Robin noticed and hid a snicker at
The Paladins sang along while Shiro, Allura and Coran smiled fondly at them
Keith patted his leg three times like a beat of drums before continuing to sing.
Keith: 🎶 Country roads, take me home, to the place... 🎶
Keith/Zane: 🎶 I belong...! West Virginia! Mountain mama, take me home...! Country Roads! 🎶
Keith ushered the girls to join for one more chorus, something which Filo immediately joined in while Yanoka gladly joined in. Raphtalia and Melty were a little hesitant but joined in anyways. Frostine, despite being shy about recreational activities like this, decided to join the fun.
"Even Frostine's joining in." Black Canary chuckled
The group: 🎶 Country Roads...! Take me home... to the place...! I belong, West Virginia...! Mountain momma, take me home...! Country Roads...! 🎶
Zane: One more time!
The girls, sans Frostine, cheered happily before the group sang once more.
"It's always nice to have a moment of levity before a serious moment. Wouldn't you agree?" Yue asked, having enjoyed the singing
"Eh.." Dabi shrugged
"Whatever." Shigaraki grumbled
{Timeskip}
The group had been singing and traveling for more than 30 minutes now. They eventually reached a cliff that overlooked the gates leading to the other side of the border wall, prompting them to stop singing and begin planning.
"It;s like the wall at Ba Sing Se but smaller." Toph noticed
Raphtalia: If we could just get past that wall, we'd be on the other side of the border.
Princess Melty: Are there any other routes we can take, Raphtalia?
Raphtalia was looking at the map and frowned upon seeing an alternate route that looked more harder to take than the direct one.
Raphtalia: We could take a detour, but if we do, it'll cost us a few more days on the road.
Princess Melty: Yes but Fitoria said there was another hero not too far from here, didn't she? It might make sense for us to take that detour anyway.
Keith: Sensible, yes. But I made a promise to Fitoria. If the hero nearby is Itsuki or Ren, then we might be lucky. Unfortunately, it's Motoyasu the idiot...
"Why?!" Several people groaned
Zane: So direct approach, then? Got it.
Princess Melty: Okay. But what do we do if that doesn't work?
Zane: What else, princess? Force our way through that bitch.
"So kill him? Sounds fun to me." Toga said with a sick grin
"I like her." Cinder approved, looking at Toga
Princess Melty: Alright then. I still don't approve of your crassness, though.
Gen Wolf stifled a chuckle. "Oh you're all gonna just 'love' the other four"
Zane: *gasp* Did the second princess agree with me for once?
Princess Melty: *blushes, embarrassed* Wha–?! You keep quiet, you!
Keith rolls his eyes fondly and stands up.
Keith: Let's move out. The sooner we get to Her Majesty, the sooner we can get Melty to safety.
"Yes. The sooner you get her to safety, the sooner this is over with." Makoto said.
"And the less headaches we'll have." Asami added
The rest of the group voiced their agreements and got ready to head out.
They kept following the path that would lead them to the main road to the checkpoint. Upon they neared the checkpoint, a horn was sounded from the garrison that was stationed there.
Filo: Hey Master, look. It's that spear guy again.
They looked ahead and saw Motoyasu with two platoons of knights.
"Oh god..." Wally groaned
"We already knew it'll be him but just to see him..." Raquel grumbled.
"Is this what a migraine feels like?" Superman asked rubbing his head
Zane: *groans* Time to prepare for the headaches that will follow...
"Way ahead of you." Green Arrow said, holding a bottle of aspirin
"Do those actually help?" Tenzin asked curiously
"Usually, yes. But in this case, I'm hoping for a miracle." Oliver sighed
Keith: *sarcastically* Take some aspirin, it might help.
Zane: I'll take it after the fight. Knowing him, he'll instigate another one.
"Of course he will.." Aqualad sighed
"When doesn't he?" Lili scoffed.
Raphtalia: What do we do now?
Yanoka: It's too late to turn back now. Might as well keep going.
Keith: Park the cart on the side of the road. Right behind those bushes.
They parked their wagon near the bushes on the side of the road. They didn't want it to be damaged if a fight breaks out, which there will. It was at least 100 meters away from the gate, so it was safe.
Before they headed out to confront Motoyasu, Keith left some bioplant monsters in the bush. They looked like a mixture of peashooters and chompers from Plants Vs Zombies. These ones, however, were under his control like familiars and will only attack those not within the group's party.
"Smart lad." Coran approved
Keith: I'm so glad I have the plant reformation skill from the bioplant shield.
The two World Jumpers approached the spear hero while the others kept their distance a fair bit away but close enough to assist Zane and Keith.
Zane: Sup. Been a while blondie.
Motoyasu: *grimly* Been while? Is that all?
"Uh....What's with the tone?" Ty Lee asked
"He's pissed...but why?" Kizuna wondered
Motoyasu's grim and serious tone confused Zane. Normally this idiot would be screaming by now.
Zane: *confused* Eh? What's wrong? You would've normally attacked me by now while screaming bloody murder.
Motoyasu: *pissed off* That's all you have to say for yourselves?! You damn devils!
Motoyasu spun his spear and thrusted it towards the two, which they easily blocked.
"Now what's this about?!" Hestia groaned
"The kid told me about this. Brace yourselves." Erhard warned
Zane: *sarcastically* There's the Motoyasu that I know and hate!
Keith: Seriously, was the spear twirling necessary? He does realize that it only makes his attack predictable because he's showing it off before attacking, right?
"Makes your attacks predictable." Zuko agreed
Raphtalia: Master Zane!
Yanoka: Sir Keith!
Keith raised his hand to halt them from helping.
Keith: Is there a chance we could talk civilly?
"With him? Doubt it." Welf scoffed
Motoyasu: I won't talk to anyone who uses brainwashing magic to enslave Filo and Raphtalia. You're both despicable.
"For god's sake, they're not brainwashed!!" Lili exclaimed annoyed
"You continue to disappoint me, warrior of the spear." Thor sighed
Zane: You say you won't talk to anyone who uses brainwashing magic, which is smart on your part, yet here you are talking to us.
Keith couldn't help but let out a chuckle at that.
Motoyasu: Don't get smart with me! *looks at Keith* And you! Don't even talk your way out of this!
Motoyasu thrusts his spear towards Keith, who parries it like he was playing Dark Souls on casual mode. Keith then zipped his mouth close, not talking like Motoyasu said.
"Smart-ass.." Korra chuckled
Motoyasu: I finally know the reason why I was summoned here. I think I might be here specifically to stop you.
"The bitch has been in your head for too long." Lili scoffed
"And combined with his own stupidity, he's basically playing himself." Spinner added
Motoyasu pointed his spear towards the two, a glowing magic circle appearing in front of him.
Motoyasu: Meteor Thrust!
With a single thrust of his spear towards the magic circle in front of him, blue magic energy bursted forwards like a comet towards the two.
"He did not learn from the soul eater battle, did he?" T'Challa sighed
"Apparently not.' Captain America shook his head
Keith: *sighs* Didn't he learn from the Soul Eater battle?
The kitsune reels back his shield arm and, with the proper timing, deflects the attack right back at Motoyasu. The spear hero gawked in surprise but couldn't do anything to stop the attack coming straight at him, which exploded and kicked up a cloud of dust.
"Hehe, nice shot." Toga giggled, enjoying his pain
As the dust settled, Motoyasu was shown to be down on one knee but managed to stand up.
Motoyasu: *pants* You didn't go down with that attack? You sure are stubborn, I'll give you that?
"Cause he deflected your attack, dumbass." Mercury snarked
Keith: Because I deflected your attack, dumbass.
"Huh? Weird.." Mercury muttered
*theater 1*
"Achoo!" Bakugo sneezed, "Damn it ice brat! What did you give me?!"
"Oh fuck you!" Akiza yelled back
Filo: *growls* Come on Master, let me at him!
Raphtalia: If that's his attitude, nothing you say is going to get through to him!
Zane: *scoffs* He didn't wanna talk in the first place. *whispers to Keith* Why exactly is he fighting us?
Keith made a zipped mouth gesture, making Zane sigh.
"Spoilers? Really?" Spinner deadpanned
"No. Motoyasu demanded he not speak. So Keith is doing so to be a wise guy." Mr compress corrected
Zane: *whispers to Keith* Are you really going to go through with that?
Keith simply nodded.
Zane: *mutters* Ugh... fine... I'll ask the bastard directly... *outloud* Yo, blondie! Why exactly are you attacking us this time? The first time was to free Raphtalia, the second time was to free Filo, and last time was to free Melty. So what's the reason now?
Motoyasu: Are you that heartless? Were Ren and Itsuki that insignificant to you?!
"What do they have to do with this?" Shinso asked getting suspicious
"But also, yea...they are." Shigaraki followed up
Zane: *blinks, confused* Who?
"He seriously forgot them?" Shazam sweatdropped
Keith slaps his arm and makes sword slicing gestures then bow drawing gestures. Zane widens his eyes in realization.
Zane: Oooh! Those guys. *uncaringly* Yeah, I don't really care 'bout 'em.
"Nobody does." Emerald rolled her eyes
That only ticked Motoyasu off even more. Keith facepalms with both hands while the girls did it with one.
Motoyasu: People call you the devil. Now I finally understand.
"I think in Zane's case, he'd take that as a compliment." Wasp said
"Well, he does call himself 'Hell-Razer'" Ant-Man pointed out
Zane: *mutters* I mean, it's kinda in my name already. Hell Razer and all that.
Keith tapped his boot at Zane's knee, gesturing him to pay attention to Motoyasu.
Motoyasu: You tricked us! You bastards! I'm going to make you pay!
"What did they even do? Apart from fixing his mess and embarrassing him?" Toga pointed out
"He's an idiot, Toga." Twice said, patting her back
Motoyasu raised his spear and attempts to slam it down on Zane.
Zane: *sighs* I hope he's done monologuing now...
"Monologuing...it's annoying but it does give you the chance to beat them." Spider-Man said
"Ain't that the truth, kid. They have the chance to finish it and instead, they just stand there and tell us their life story." Hawkeye joked
Zane just caught the staff bit of the spear and tugged it towards him, pulling Motoyasu towards him. Motoyasu yelped as he was pulled forward before he was decked in the face by Zane, launching and sending him skidding against the dirt road.
"Do it again!" Lili cheered
"Go for the nuts!" Keel cheered
The spear hero wasn't done however and simply wiped the blood off his busted lip.
Motoyasu: *pissed off* You're done! I'll make sure of–
He was hit directly in the forehead by a shield that acted like a frisbee, knocking him back down. Keith caught the shield and changed it from the Boomerang Shield back to his Guardian Shield.
"Nice throw." Captain America approved
"That looks like it hurt." Bolin winced
"You haven't been hit with his shield then." Hawkeye said, jabbing a thumb at the star spangled man
Zane: Look, buddy, just stay down and listen for a – *sighs* You're getting back up again...
Motoyasu stands back up and charges towards them, ready to thrust his spear towards Zane. The redhead didn't even look fazed and just sidestepped to dodge Motoyasu's attack and then clock him straight in the back of the head, forcing him back down to eat dirt.
"He has no real skill in combat, huh?" Welf asked
Motoyasu: *groans in pain* You're gonna pay... You both are gonna pay for what you did to them! *glares at the two* MURDERER!
"Huh?!"
"They're being accused of killing them?! Why?" Toph exclaimed
"Granted, that's not too big a loss but why?" Glass wondered
Keith didn't look amused at his accusation while Zane just looked puzzled.
Zane: *puzzled* .........Eh...?
Motoyasu stands up and glares at Zane and Keith.
Motoyasu: Don't play dumb with me! You know what you did!
"No...no you don't." Naomasa sighed
Zane: We met a giant chicken and ate dinosaur soup with ostriches. That's what we did. I don't know what the hell you mean by murder.
"That sounds ridiculous and yet, that's exactly what happened.' Shinso sweatdropped
Motoyasu: *angry* How can you stand there and joke around while pretending you don't understand why I'm so angry?!
"But....that's what happened..." Hatsumei sweatdropped
"If you didn't see it, would you believe it?" Oscar asked
"Fair point." Hatsumei conceded
Keith: ... Aren't you always angry at him anyways?
"Accurate." Fitoria nodded
Zane: I ain't joking man. *raises hands in mock surrender* We really fought a dinosaur and had dinner with a talking chicken in a KFC farm. *mutters* Even though that makes me sound like I'm high...
Motoyasu: Grr...! *accusingly points at Keith and Zane* Just admit it, you killed them!
"They didn;t. Though I'm certain Zane was tempted." Salem said
Princess Melty: *disbelief* The heroes of the bow and sword were killed?! How could this have happened?! Both of them were so strong!
"Pfft." Glass snickered at that
Motoyasu: *gasps, shocked* You had Yanoka use her brainwashing magic on Princess Melty?! *angry* You'll do anything, won't you?!
"SERIOUSLY?!!!" Team Avatar and Team Korra yelled. Even the past avatars seemed to be exclaiming or facepalming
Keith/Zane:
"That face says it all." Wonder Woman sighed
Zane: *genuinely perplexed* Why... Why would we kill them...?
Motoyasu: *angry, confused* What do you mean?
The two boys' deadpan just grew.
Several audience members also deadpanned the spear idiot
Zane: *deadpan* D-Dude... like... Did you even see a body?
Motoyasu tsked in annoyance, giving the two a good idea that he clearly didn't.
Zane: *deadpan* Of course you didn't...
"Wait, who even put this idea in his he-oh no." Lili put her face in her hands when she realized who else was likely there
???: I think a representative of the church is a reliable source.
Zane/Keith upon seeing Malty:
"NOT YOU!/DAMMIT/WHY?!"
Zane/Keith: *sounding like they're done* Not this shit again...
"I should've tried to kill her too." Glass thought
Malty stood in the middle of the other girls in Motoyasu's party. The girl to Malty's left was her noble friend named Lesty, and the girl to her right with a witch hat was Rino.
Princess Malty: They said the devils unleashed a monster sealed in the center of town. Then they used the devastation as a distraction to kill Itsuki and Ren.
"Are you kidding me?" Superman muttered, feeling his migraine worsen
"Hulk smash annoying red head!" Hulk growled
Raphtalia: Ridiculous!
The two World Jumpers continued to have the "I'm fucking done" expression plastered on their faces.
"Sit down, Dabi." Gen Wolf ordered as without even looking, he just heard the blue flame villain get up to get roast the spear idiot and Bitch
Princess Malty: Sir Motoyasu, beware of that fox's brainwashing magic. You can't let the devils sway you with her words.
Motoyasu: No need to worry about that. *determined* He can't fool me!
"But she can." Iron Man snarked
Zane and Keith just looked at him with a wry smile, only they were aware of the irony of what Motoyasu said.
Zane: *whispers to Keith* Why is the bitch like this again?
"Raised by the wrong person." Erhard sighed
Keith just shrugged. He would share the reason as to why but Motoyasu told him to shut up, so he will do so.
Filo: *turns to Melty* What do you think?
Melty: Oh no sister... You didn't...
Zane: *deadpan, mutters* Oh for the love of... She's the one isn't she?
Keith: Red is sus
"Huh?"
"Sus?"
"Suspicious." Gen Wolf answered.

Keith: ... Why did I say that and where is it from...?
Princess Malty: Enough chit-chat. It's time to battle!
Zane: Finally! I was waiting for this!
"He just wants an excuse to kill him doesn't he?" Bell deadpanned
"Yup." Welf sighed
A glowing blue ball was floating on top of Malty's hands and as she raised them, the ball expanded and a cage made of lightning appeared around the group and Motoyasu and his group.
"A cage of lightning?" Erhard muttered
Raphtalia: What is this?
Yanoka: Is this another magic field?
Princess Melty: You're using a lightning cage?!
Princess Malty: An impenetrable prison made of lightning-
"Well, duh." Wally and Robin jinxed
Princess Malty:- sealing in the caster and their target until one of them can subdue the other.
Zane: Huh. We got a Pokemon arena then.
"Pokemon?" Aang repeated
The iconic Pokemn theme song "Gotta Catch them All" started playing into the theater.
"I'm gonna miss that 10 year old kid with 22 years of experience." Gen Wolf sighed.
"Personally, I think he'll still be in the series. He just won't be the main character anymore." Akatsuki mentally spoke with the wolf
"Wolfy, can you imagine we do see Ash in the series and he's actually all grown up?" Akiza mentally asked
"I don't even know how to imagine him as a grown up." Gen Wolf thought.
Motoyasu: You won't get away this time!
Frostine: We'll see about that!
Yanoka: Frostine, wait!
Frostine changed into her dragon form and took to the uncaged sky, only for her to be electrocuted by the cage. She screamed in pain and fell back down to the ground, twitching from the electricity.
"Oh god!"
"Frostine!"
Aang shivered at that. Rising to the sky only to be struck down via lightning. The scar on his back tingled just from thinking about it.
Katara remembered that moment. Seeing Aang basically die in front of her. If she wasn't quick with that spirit water....
Yanoka: I was just about to warn you about that...
Frostine: *groans, sarcastically* T-Thanks for the... heads-up...
Zane: Before you try and avenge them for a crime I didn't commit and before we fight, can I just say two things. One, are you seriously going to believe everything they say without confirming anything?
Motoyasu: There's no need. My friends are trustworthy enough to take them at their word.
"You dumbass.." Korra scoffed
"Trusting is one thing. But blindly believing everything they say is something completely different." Opal agreed
Yanoka: *scoffs, mutters* He's simply acting like a common soldier at this point.
"More like a puppet." Akira corrected
Zane: *sighs* Fine... And last thing.
If Zane was an anime character, his eye would've turned into a shining eye right now.
Zane: *dramatically* It's time! To du-du-du-duel! *reels back arm* Pikachu, I choose you!
"Huh?" Several adults muttered
"I don't understand any of that." Captain America admitted
He reels back his arm and fires off a Thundaga spell at the spear hero, who barely dodged the spell.
However, while the girls did prepare to attack, including a recovered Frostine, none of them followed up with an attack. Zane looked at them, confused.
Zane: Why... aren't you girls attacking?
The girls looked at each other sheepishly.
Frostine: We normally have Master tell us how to battle the enemies.
"Well, at least they're not charging in recklessly.' M'gann pointed out
Zane looked at Keith, who did the zipped mouth gesture, still following with Motoyasu telling him to shut it.
Zane: Oh for fucks sake.
During their talk, Malty was already casting the spell.
Princess Malty: As source of thy power and the next queen, I order thee!
"How pretentious." Batman sighed
"She's certainly full of herself." Wonder Woman scoffed
Princess Malty: -Decipher the laws of creation and bring down a rain of fire that will consume all of my targets! Zweite Fire Squall!
Zane: Did I just hear bullshit in that spell?
"Yes, yes you did." Glass sighed
He turned around and saw a large fireball swirling around before exploding into a rain of fire.
Zane: *smirks* Oh, I gotta learn that!
Zuko, Aang, Mako, Iroh and Azula could already do that. Minus the magic of course
Princess Melty: I order thee to nullify the rain of fire and keep my targets safe from its flames! Anti Zweite Fire Squall!
A barrier made of water formed above the group and blocked the incoming rain of fire.
Katara and Aang could already do that but it was impressive nonetheless
"Is there an anti-spell for everything?" Ryuji asked
"Not really everything but majority." Gen Wolf answered with Erhard nodding in confirmation.
Yanoka: Screw a plan of attack! The bitch is mine!
Frostine: Yanoka!
Yanoka charged forward towards Malty.
Zane: Fine. If Yanoka's going after Malty, we take the frontal fight. Keith –
Keith was just sitting down, not doing anything but checking his shield.
"Why's he just sitting there?" Bolin asked
"He's not. He;s preparing for that blast from earlier.' Batman said
"How did you know?" Erhard asked
"If that blast is going to hit them, it's better to know which amongst his arsenal can withstand it if they want to live through that." Batman answered.
Not even Superman would walk away from that so easily. That blast was made of the few things in the known universe that could severely harm him. Magic.
Zane: Ugh, whatever.
Zane heard clashing weapons ahead and saw Yanoka clashing with Motoyasu, who wasn't letting her get anywhere near Malty or the other girls. The other girls were blasting at her with magic attacks but Yanoka was agile and their spells missed.
"Ok! You go, girl!" Wasp cheered
Zane: *looks at Filo* Filo! You ready to kick spear guy in the nuts again?
"Please!" Robin exclaimed hopeful
Filo: *smirks* You bet!
Zane: Well, go for it!
Filo charged towards Motoyasu and tried to pounce on him, but the spear hero blocked her attack.
Rino: Not so fast! Zweite Air Shot!
Filo changed back into her human form to avoid getting hit.
"Clever girl." Tony approved
But now that she was lighter, Motoyasu easily swept her away. Filo recovered in the air with a backflip before Frostine flew up and caught her sister's hand and threw her right back at the spear hero.
"Impressive teamwork." Ms Marvel approved
They're practically sisters." Wasp agreed
Filo then materialized her golden talons and continued to strike at Motoyasu, who blocked her attack but was sent skidding by the force.
Princess Melty: *in awe* Amazing!
Raphtalia: That's the move she learned during her duel with Fitoria. She's making good use of it.
Motoyasu: Forgive me for this Filo but I must fight for Ren and Itsuki, no matter the cost, even if it means I have to hurt you!
"Is he still thinking about her like...'that'?" Toga asked, her fangs bared
"I believe so." Wonder Woman answered with shadows covering her eyes
"I bet he won't mind helping me test some of my more... 'in progress' babies." Hatsumei said, uncharacteristically angry
A dangerous aura filled the room, courtesy of all the women in the room
*Theater 1*
"Anyone else sensing murderous intent?" Lyla asked the other four
"And it's all aimed at Moron-yasu." Reiko grinned
"I can't wait to throw him to the wolves." Akatsuki smirked
Zane: Well, I'll give him plus points for being loyal to his friends...
Keith: Unfortunately, he trusts girls more because he thinks with his dick first. Thinks he's some harem protagonist.
"A di-?"
"Nope!" Sokka covered Aang's mouth
"No!" Wasp exclaimed, covering Keel's mouth
Oscar didn't say anything. Their reactions alone told him he'd learn when he was older
"What's a harem?" Keel asked innocently
Ann immediately covered Ryuji's mouth and Makoto did the same with Akira while Haru covered Futaba's mouth.
"It's when a man has a bunch of lovely ladies as his love interests." Gen Wolf answered.
"That sounds hard to manage." Keel said
"Unless you know how to manage it." Gen Wolf remarked.
Motoyasu charges forward and attempts to attack Filo, only for Frostine to appear to his left and tail swipe him away.
Motoyasu stabs his spear on the ground to stop himself from skidding back further. He then activates a skill.
Motoyasu: Meteor Thrust!
He then thrusts his spear and attempts to attack at Keith, only for the kitsune, who was still sitting on the ground, to parry it away like it was swatting a fly.
"Wow, didn't even have to stand up." Spinner snorted
Motoyasu: I'm not done! Chaos–
*DONK*
He was hit in the face by the boomerang shield, dazing him and canceling his skill.
"Ha!" Shigaraki mocked
He shook his head and widened his eyes before he was decked in the face by Zane, who decided to advance forward and fight Motoyasu barefist.
Motoyasu recovered from the first punch before he felt a hard impact against his abdomen. Zane then delivered a right hook to the face, then a left uppercut, and then a kick to the knee that brought Motoyasu to his knees.
"He's good with his fists." Korra approved
"Guess he knows how to brawl if need be." Lin said
The spear hero swipes at Zane but the redhead blocks the spear's staff and hits Motoyasu in the face with a side kick, sending the spear hero down sliding against the ground.
"Same can't be said for blondie." Robin snarked
"He relies too much on those skills. He doesn't really know how to use that spear." Fitoria criticized
Motoyasu sits up and glares at Zane, who just casually gestures for Motoyasu to come at him. Motoyasu did so and their fight continued.
Yanoka was chasing after Malty, who was trying to cast a spell but couldn't do so because each time she tries, Yanoka was already right behind her and ready to pounce or slash at her. Rino and Lesty would've been able to help if Frostine wasn't blasting at them with her ice breath.
"Meanwhile Yanoka's out for blood." Keith noticed
"The question is why." Acxa wondered.
Malty unsheathes her blade and tries to attack Yanoka but the fox was quicker and slid beneath the blade and tackled the first princess to the ground.
Princess Malty: Get off of me you filthy demi-human!
"HEY!" Lili roared in annoyance as Bell and Hestia held her back.
Hulk let out a growl that a few people just knew would chase them into their nightmares
Yanoka: Yeah?! Well this filthy demi-human is about to claw out your pretty little face and put you in your place!
Yanoka raised her hand, her claws ready to slash at Malty's face but was blasted away by Lesty's air magic.
"Damn it." Toga and Lili growled.
Lesty: Malty, are you okay?
Malty didn't respond as she just looked at Yanoka, who was glaring at her. Malty smirked and raised her hands.
"Oh crap." Lance muttered
Princess Malty: Zweite Hellfire!
"Look out!" Shazam warned
Yanoka held her tanto close and closed her eyes. She then spoke, in a whispered voice, an incantation
Yanoka: As the princess who commands an origin of power, I shall decipher the laws of nature. By order of Princess Yenova Blazehart II, absorb the flame that shall engulf me and grant me power to incinerate my targets!
"Hold up, what?"
"Yenova Blazehart II?!"
"She really was royalty!"
"What happened then?"
"How'd she end up enslaved?"
"I bet you the redhead had something to do with it."
As Malty's spell hit her and she was engulfed in flames. Just then, the fire surrounding her surged and swirled around the tanto's blade. She then swung her sword while shouting.
"She....absorbed the flames?" Iroh gaped in awe
Yanoka: Fox Fire! Blaze: Wildfire!
The fire from the sword bursted forward and turned into a large wave of fire, almost the size of a tidal wave, that was headed towards Malty. The first princess was too stunned to even move.
"Holy shit..." Erhard muttered
"Now you're through." Glass smirked
Rino/Lesty: Zweite Air Shot!
Despite the two's attempt to ward off Yanoka's spell with air magic, it barely did anything to hold back the incoming fire.
"Nothing?!" Aang gawked
Fortunately for Malty, but unfortunately for Yanoka, Motoyasu managed to pick up the first princess and get her out of there before she was engulfed by the flames.
"GOD DAMMIT!!!" Lili and Toga cursed
"Lucky bitch..." Glass grumbled
"That is bullshit!" Kizuna of all people shouted in annoyance.
L'Arc gaped at the girl. She rarely if never spoke like that unless she was really pissed off.
"Kizuna!" Glass and Therese scolded.
"What?! Glass called her a bitch!" Kizuna remarked.
"Glassy!/Glass!" L'Arc and Therese scolded.
Glass didn't respond, simply looking away
Fitoria was silent but her clenched fist betrayed her own frustration
"Dammit, let her burn, you blonde idiot." Shigaraki snarled
Yanoka growled in anger that Malty survived as she jumped back to avoid Lesty's air magic. Keith, meanwhile, raised an eyebrow at Yanoka but put a pin on her interesting ability.
"Seems he overheard." M'gann said
"They can discuss it later." Conner sreasoned
Motoyasu: Myne, now's our chance!
Princess Malty: You miserable demi! You'll pay for trying to kill the next queen! Zweite Fire!
"You? The queen? I'd end it all before I let you rule over me." Spinner scoffed
Rino/Lesty: Zweite Air Shot!
The attacks circled around Motoyasu's spear's head. He then aims the spear at the protagonists.
"A combo skill." Erhard recognized
"A combo skill?" Korra repeated confused
"A skill where magic is combined together with an attack to make it more powerful."
Motoyasu: Behold the power of a combo skill with fire, wind, and my spear. Air Burst Flare Lance!
"Meh." Several people muttered
Much to Gen Wolf's and the reader's amusement, absolutely no one was impressed
Zane smirked and stabbed his Fusion Sword on the ground. He then activated the Blade Beam Limit Break and slashed upwards, sending an arc of energy to meet the magic attack.
The two attacks meet and no surprise, the Blade Beam was far stronger and slashed the magic attack in half and still had enough energy to keep going.
"Now that's impressive." T'Challa nodded
"Slice him in two!" Twice cheered
It nearly hit Motoyasu and Malty but the two avoided it-
"SON OF A BITCH!!" Twice cursed
-while the split Air Burst Flare Lance missed Zane and the rest of the group and each half flew either side of the group.
Motoyasu: How the hell?!
Keith: Simple really. In the original Final Fantasy VII game, Limit Breaks charge up faster when the character takes damage than it charges naturally on its own or dealing damage. But in the lore, Limit Breaks are fueled by spirit energy and turned into powerful attacks.
"So Zane's spirit breaks are always charging, is that it?" Oscar asked
"Limit breaks, but yes." Gen Wolf corrected.
Zane smirked as he popped a soul soothing potion. Once he drank it, or his character rather, his Limit meter immediately filled right back up.
"What was that?" Pidge asked
"Soul Soothing potion. It helps us heroes access more skills. And it seems it increases Zane's Limit Break instead." L'Arc informed
Zane: I'll let you in on a little secret. *puts weapon across the shoulder* That attack is one of my 7 different ultimate attacks. Your combo skill is nothing compared to it.
"SEVEN?!"
"7 ultimate moves?" Shinso repeated, allowing genuine surprise wash over him
"You can't be serious. I've never heard of anyone with that many ultimate moves. One or two sure, but 7?!" Naomasa exclaimed
"Braver, Cross Slash, Climhazzard, Blade Beam, Meteor Rain, Finishing Touch, and Omnislash." Gen Wolf listed down.
He then looks at Raphtalia and thinks of an idea for a combo skill.
Zane: But if you want a taste of your own medicine, I'll happily oblige.
Zane then whispers his plan to Raphtalia, who nods.
Motoyasu: Raphtalia! If you continue to take his side, I won't show you any mercy.
"Fine. but she won't go easy on you, you idiot! Get him, Raphtalia!" Keel cheered
Zane rolls his eyes and prepares to fire another fireball while Raphtalia's sword glows.
Raphtalia: As source of thy power, I order thee. Decipher the laws of nature and hide my target. First Hiding!
She then charged forward ready to strike Motoyasu. However, as Motoyasu was about to block her attack, her sword was engulfed in blue aura and she suddenly dashed forward in a downward strike.
Motoyasu blocked her attack but was sent to his knees. He groaned as he felt such a heavy force pushing him down, probably cracking the kneecap of his kneeling leg. He looked up and saw the Raphtalia was now holding Zane's Fusion Sword.
"What the? How does she have Zane's sword?" Wally asked
"She doesn't." Glass realized
He then realized, this wasn't Raphtalia at all. Raphtalia's body disappeared in a flash of gold particles and was replaced with Zane, who had used his Braver Limit Break on Motoyasu.
"Her illusion spell. Well played, kiddo.' L'Arc complimented
"My friend's the best!" Keel cheered
Zane: Illusion for the win, bay-bee!
Princess Malty: *worried* Sir Motoyasu!
Motoyasu could feel Zane's strength overpowering. Unfortunately for him, Zane wasn't even trying as he was only using the Fusion Sword's weight to keep Motoyasu from coming back up.
"How heavy is that sword?" Erhard asked
Motoyasu: How... *grunts* ...ugh, heavy... *groans* ...is this thing?
Zane: It's definitely heavier than your spear. But I'm not trying to kill you with it, just trying to keep you pinned down. Now Filo!
Filo appeared behind him after using High Quick and twirled before hitting Motoyasu in the nuts once again.
"Yes!" Keel cheered while several people laughed or winced
Fitoria allowed an amused and satisfied smile seeing that
"How are they still intact?" Black Canary wondered despite her amused smirk
Princess Malty: *worried* Oh no! Sir Motoyasu!
Raphtalia: Wide open.
Princess Malty gasped in pain as Raphtalia struck her in the chest with her mana sword.
"Why didn't she use her real sword?" Spinner asked disappointed
"Unfortunately, that would only prove Myne's brainwashing lie." Kurogirl informed
Raphtalia: You won't get in Master Zane's way.
Malty falls to her knee and groans before returning with a snarky expected comment.
Princess Malty: You dare to strike me, you damn demi-human! *glares* I'll get you!
"Downed by a demi-human! How it;s feel, bitch?" Lili jeered
Motoyasu managed to get up, albeit with wobbly legs.
Motoyasu: How could you force poor Raphtalia and sweet little Filo to fight for you?
"They're not forced you-UUGH! Wow, is this what a headache feels like?" Conner asked, feeling an ache in his skull
M'gann handed her boyfriend an aspirin in response
Yanoka: *sighs* You still don't get it, huh?
Motoyasu: Get what?
Zane: That three little girls are about to kick your ass and send it to kingdom come! Show 'em the door!
"Oh, this should be good." Spider-Man smirked under his mask
Melty, Filo, and Frostine stepped up, ready to cast a combo skill of their own.
Melty: As source of thy power, we order thee!
Filo: Decipher the laws of nature and bring forth a raging wind!
Princess Melty: Bring forth torrential rain, a downpour like no other!
Frostine: Bring forth a flurrious blizzard, as cold as winter!
The three pointed their hands at Motoyasu and his party.
Melty/Filo/Frostine: Create a storm to blow our targets away! Go Hurricane!
A large strong tornado of wind, rain, and snow blasted forward and sent Motoyasu and his party members flying. The three girls then high fived.
"Nice!" The two avatars complimented
"Nice work you three. Also, when did they learn that?" Superman complimented/asked
Princess Melty: Nice work Filo, Frostine! We make a great team!
Filo: *smiles beamingly* We do!
Frostine simply smiled at the two, happy that she could be of assistance.
"I'm so proud of you, Filo." Fitoria said with a proud smile
The hurricane spell dies down and Motoyasu and his girls drop down to the dirt road. Motoyasu got on his knee.
Motoyasu: *grunts* D-Damn... You have upgraded your class, how can you possibly be this strong? Does the brainwashing magic make you powerful too?
"Hulk smash stupid blond!" Hulk growled as he stomped toward the theater
"Oh no, Hulk, stop, don't." Wasp said, totally trying to stop him...from her seat...and doing nothing.
Gen Wolf teleported the green goliath back in his seat.
"Dammit..." Hulk grumbled. In his head, he was certain that banner also parroted him as well
The girls in the group looked at Motoyasu with unamused faces. Zane just looked like he was done with Motoyasu's shit and Keith just looked irked.
Zane: Dude, we've just been working hard instead of showing off.
Motoyasu: Liar! Do you honestly expect me to believe it's as simple as that?
"It's not exactly simple but yes. Don't get mad at them when you haven't earned anything via hard work." Ms Marvel said
"Yea! Everything was handed to you when you didn't do anything to deserve it." Shazam agreed
A note appeared in Gen Wolf's paw from Akatsuki. It read "I don't know who's there but I'm curious. When are you gonna tell them that the spear and bow dumb-fucks got their weapons taken away? 😈"
"When they meet them. 😂" Gen Wolf sent the note back.
Zane: Whether you believe it or not, it's the goddamn truth. So now that you're down and done, care to listen now?
"Don't use the Lord's name like that." Captain America scolded
"Oh, he's gonna like Shiozaki and Jeanne." Gen Wolf thought
Motoyasu: It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what you have to say. I've got to avenge Itsuki and Ren. If I give up, Raphtalia, Princess Melty, Filo, and Frostine will never be free.
"How stubborn is he?" Korra groaned
"More stubborn than Toph?" Sokka brought up
"Oh, no one's more stubborn than Toph." Katara said
Yanoka: Are you kidding me? Is he really that stubborn? ......... Wait... Why am I not on that list?
"Because he believes she's brainwashing them." Wonder Woman answered incase others were curios
Motoyasu: They'll always be the devils' prisoners! And I can never accept that! Not as long as I live. Cause I'm the Spear Hero!
"I can admittedly respect his conviction." Spinner admitted
"But that's only because he;s so wrapped around the red-heads finger." Dabi snarked
Princess Malty: That's it Sir Motoyasu, fight until the end. Bring me the devil of the shield's head and free my dear sister Melty from his clutches.
Motoyasu nodded at her words and stared down the two "devils". The two devils in question just looked at him with either 😐 or 😒. Keith was the former and Zane the latter.
Zane: *mutters* You're a thick headed tool, you know that...
"We all know that." Robin agreed
Filo gasped apprehensively before looking around.
What's wrong?" Allura asked concerned
"Ahh. My head." Spider-Man groaned as his spider-sense was going haywire
"Man of Spider, are you alright?" Thor asked
"It's coming. Something big. That beam from earlier. It's coming." Spider-Man said despite how badly his head was pounding
Princess Melty: What is it, Filo?
Raphtalia and Yanoka's ears twitch before they two looked around apprehensively.
Raphtalia: Something's off... Look, all the soldiers left their posts.
"They were likely part of the plan, but who's behind it?" Shinso asked
The rest of the group looked around and the entire area was completely quiet and deserted, except for the spear hero and his party.
Zane: The hell?
Frostine dashed forward and so did Filo, the two changing into their monster forms. The filolial threw Lesty in the air, then Rino, and then Malty. The three girls yelped in surprise before they came back down and landed roughly into Motoyasu.
"Nice throw." Aqualad nodded with a small smirk
Zane: The fuck is the chicken doing?
Frostine had flown up and began creating a mountain of ice around the group, save for the hole on the top. Once she enters the mountain of ice, she blocks off the hole with a thick coat of ice.
"Did Keith tell them about this?" Oscar asked
No. Animals, no offense Keel and Fitoria, have higher awareness of incoming danger. They don't know what's coming exactly, they just know it's bad." Ant-Man said
"Like how birds flock away to safety or when fishes swim together to make it impossible for sharks to hunt them." Artemis said.
Keith: As source of thy power, I, the Shield Hero, orders thee. Decipher the laws of nature and strengthen my magical prowess. Zweite Magic!
Keith was engulfed in a white aura that increased his magic power. He then began casting another spell.
Keith: *places hand on chest* Decipher the laws of nature and protect me from harm. Zweite Guard! Zweite Aura!
"Hurry dude." Shazam said anxiously
He was then engulfed in a green defensive aura that boosted his defense.
Frostine: As source of thy power, I order thee. Decipher the law of nature and protect my target. First Ice Coat!
Keith was then covered in an ice aura that further increased his defense.
Keith: Activate: Shield Prison! Airstrike Shield! Second Shield! Change Shields to Chimera Leather Shields! Shooting Star Shield!
A spherical shield formed around the two parties and locked it with chains. Then two glowing green shields formed on top of the ice mountain. The two green shields then changed into a leathery viridian green shields with gold embroidery, while the Shield Prison changed into the same material. Lastly, a glowing blue sphere made of light formed over the spherical shield.
"Now that's a defense."
"But will it hold is the question."
Zane: Guess you lost the challenge.
"What challenge?" Keel asked
"When Motoyasu told him to be quiet." Fitoria reminded her
Keith shushed him and continued to look up.
Zane: I hope whatever you're doing is enough to protect us from whatever it is that's got you guys paranoid.
"Guess he didn't tell Zane about this." Hunk said
Keith pointed at Zane's Fusion Sword and made a "stab the ground" gesture. Zane was confused at first but soon got it and stabbed his large sword on the ground, which Keith held on to the handle as a form of support while raising his shield arm up.
Meanwhile, the spear and his party members were confused as to what's going on. One of them decided to voice out their confusion.
Princess Malty: What in the world is going on here, anyway?
Princess Melty: Shut your mouth for once!
"Oh ho ho, the mouth on this kid." Twice smirked
"Not bad." Mercury approved
Filo: *anxious* Here it comes...
From the sky came forth a shine before it revealed itself to be a large pillar of golden light beaming down upon the group's area. While the natives screamed in fright, one of the two foreigners took off his helmet due to the loud booming static noise coming from the helmet's speakers.
"Whoa!"
"Holy shit!"
"Ah!" Superman, Conner and those with some form of heightened hearing covered their ears
Zane: Jesus Christ! That sounds like a fucking earrape session!
"Earrape?" Oscar asked confused
Very, very loud noise that is painful to the ears." Gen Wolf answered.
He wore the helmet again while Keith chuckles and shouts at Zane so he could be heard.
Keith: Reminds me of that one earrape video about the Monster's Inc theme!
Zane couldn't even hold his laugh at that one.
"Monster's Inc?" Aang repeated
The monsters inc intro played through the speakers
"Huh...Jazz music..nice." Wasp approved
Yanoka: How are you two so casual when we're about to die?!
Zane: Relax, I doubt we'll –
The sound of glass smashing made him pause.
Zane: *confused* What was that?!
"That was one of the shields wasn;t it?" Keel squeaked
Keith: That would be the first Air Strike Shield!
"Oh crap!" Lance exclaimed
Zane: I'm concerned!
Keith: Are you though?!
Zane: No, not really!
"Be more concerned!" The voltron paladins and Coran exclaimed
The sound of the second shield shattering was heard. The two World Jumpers looked up and saw light shining faintly. They then looked at each other and chuckled nervously.
"Oh crap."
"Brace yourselves."

"No! Harry no! Don't look at the light!"
"I can't help it. It's so beautiful *ZAP!* Aahhh!"
"Damn you, Aki." Gen Wolf thought, unable to help a chuckle
Zane: We're gonna die, aren't we?
Keith: *shrugs* I dunno.
Zane: That does not assure me at all.
"Nor does it assure us." Coran gaped at their nonchalant attitudes
They could hear the loud thuds of ice chunks falling against the Shooting Star Shield. They then heard a loud surging noise from the Shooting Star Shield before being followed with the noise of shattering glass.
Zane: Welp, it was nice knowing you guys.
Keith: *unconcerned* Oh ye of little faith!
"How's he so calm?" M'gann wondered as she held Conner's arm like a safety blanket
Light began to shine through the slowly forming cracks on the Shield Prison but Keith paid it no mind and looked at his wrist like he was looking at a watch. He smiles and snaps his fingers, exactly a second before the light dies down and the shield prison disappears.
Keith: Heh, I was right. Exactly 40 seconds.
"He not only planned a defense but one that would hold up the entire time?"
"Well done, young Keith." Thor praised
He looked at the surroundings and saw that the ground they were on was now nothing more but the same size as the Lightning Cage and they were in the dead center of a large burning crater.
"HOLY SHIT!!"
"If Filo didn't sense that...oh god..."
"I'm pretty sure Keith would've done it anyway."
Zane: You timed that, didn't you?
Keith just gave him a smirk. Zane chuckled at that and whistled at the sight around them.
Zane: Now this feels homely.
"He would think that." Glass sighed
Keith rolls his eyes at that. He then turns to the girls and gives them a thumbs up.
Frostine: We're alright Master.
"Thank goodness they're all okay."
"Unfortunately, that includes the idiot and the bitch."
"SHIT!/DAMMIT"
Keith nods at her answer.
Motoyasu: What was that?! Myne, do you know what just happened?
Princess Malty: *shocked* That power couldn't have possibly come from... It can't be...
"She recognized that power. But who did that?" Mr Compress wondered
Zane: Uh... Does anyone hear that?
They could hear a faint slow clap originating from the top of the crater they were in.
???: Truly remarkable. You just took [ Judgement ] head on, an exceedingly powerful group ritual. And yet you're still standing.
"That voice..." Kizuna muttered
"It's him." Batman and Superman said disappointedly
Yanoka glared at the figure standing on the edge of the crater. She could recognize that silly hat on top of the figure's head. It's the Pope from the Three Heroes Church.
"The pope!"
"Don't tell me this old bastards also against demihumans."
"But he also knowingly attacked Motoyasu and Myne. Why?"
Pope Balmus: I'd expect nothing less... from the Glitch Heroes.
Princess Melty: It's the Pope?!
Zane: Wait... That guy's the pope? I can't see him clearly from here.
"What's he talking about?" Keel asked with a curios head tilt
"I agree. I can see the pope clearly." Fitoria said
Yanoka: I can see him clearly.
Frostine: As can I. I can hear him loud and clear.
Zane: Wha–? Hey, yo, second princess, can you see and hear him from here?
Princess Melty: Yes, I can see and hear him from here. *glares, pouts* And I thought I told you to stop calling me that?!
"Are they ok? How are they having trouble seeing him?" Ll'Arc asked
"Yes. I can see and hear him just fine." Therese said
Zane waves her off and turns to Keith.
Zane: Please tell me I'm not the only one who can't see or hear him. Can you?
Keith: N-O-P-E.
Zane: How the–
Keith: *whispers to Zane* It's simply anime logic. For some reason, the bad guy or some other character can be hundreds of meters away and the main characters can still clearly see and even hear them.
"Ohhhh." Those who didn't understand anime or weren't from an anime understood
Zane ooh'ed in understanding.
Zane: *whispers to Keith* And since we're not anime characters and we're from the "real world", anime logic doesn't apply to us.
"Real world? What does he mean?" Keel asked innocently
"Well, that's a little difficult to explain but all I can tell you is that everyone in this room are nothing more but fictional characters in their world." Gen Wolf said.
"That makes sense. Every world is different in some way. For example, none of you exist where we're from." Batman said
"Same here. Still, hearing that is....disorienting to say the least." Allura admitted
All the time the two were talking about why they couldn't hear the pope, the religious man in question was saying something about how God bestowed holy water to the two and yet refused to show him gratitude. Also how they deceived the people of Melromarc. He then goes to say that he will purify them in God's name and that they're transgressions will no longer plague the land.
"A religious fanatic....wonderful...." Green Arrow sighed
"A what?" Aang asked curiously
"Someone who's way into religion." Spider-Man jokingly answered.
Princess Malty: How dare you Pope Balmus! Do you realize what you've just done?!
Zane: Hold up... What was that dude saying?
Keith: Heck if I know, I couldn't hear him either.
Princess Malty: You very nearly killed the next queen with that attack! And the spear hero as well!
"Yea, you nearly killed Melty, you old fart!" Lili yelled
"As for Motoyasu, who cares" Toga scoffed

"Achoo!" Motoyasu sneezed "What'd you give me, Aki?
"You don't get to call her that." The four older gods said with dark voices, making the spear hero squeak in fear
Zane: *mutters* Next queen my ass... How can she be the next queen when she's currently whining like a little bitch?
"Pfft!" Lili and Toga snickered
"Burn." Mercury smirked

Zane: *sighs, mutters* I really can't hear him...
Keith: *whispers to Zane* I'll see if GM or Kara can help us with this.
Zane: *whispers to Keith* Yeah, you go do that.
Keith briefly logs out and goes to ask Kara for help.
Motoyasu: What is this? Myne, can you explain what the hell he's talking about.
Pope Balmus: And if the lives of those who have been marked for death do finally come to an end, that means that all is right with the world. Everything shall be exactly as God desires it to be.
"Ok, we don't have religion where we come from but even I can get this. He's planning to kill them all and use his 'god' as an excuse. Is that right?" Zuko asked
"Nailed it." Erhard confirmed.
"I hate him already." Hestia admitted
Raphtalia: This man's insane!
Zane: *grumbles* I wish I could relate Raph but I can't hear the fucker...
"What did he call him?" Aang asked with his ears covered
'Don't worry about it, twinkle-toes." Toph assured while Aang deadpanned at the name
Princess Melty: That logic's pretty twisted... *glances at Malty* Reminds me of someone.
"I like this kid." Artemis smirked
"Shame her old man's such a bastard." Wally scoffed
Gen Wolf held back a laugh. He couldn't wait for them to meet her new father
Pope Balmus: Oh but don't worry. We have a plan for a new government to take the royal family's place.
"I mean...if they replaced the king and first princess, that'd be ok with me if I'm being honest." Ty Lee admitted
Princess Malty: What are you–?! That's ridiculous! This country's always been ruled by royalty! Our family are the only ones fit to–
"Your sister and mother, yes. You and the old man? Hell no." Welf said
"Oh, they;re gonna love the trial." Erhard thought with a small smirk
Pope Balmus: Abuse your power and disrespect the Church?! Look down upon the apostles of God Himself? Not anymore! This country doesn't need such blasphemy!
The pope opens his unamused eyes.
Pope Balmus: Royalty?! *scoffs* You're a pestilence.
Melty's innocent, same with Queen Mirellia but otherwise, yea." Welf agreed
He then glances at Zane and the others.
Pope Balmus: And the same applies to you heroes. We worship those who save the world and its people from the Waves. But this bunch has done more harm than good.
"True for three, but why's he against Keith and Zane? Does he know who they really are?" Asami asked
Yanoka: True for three, false for two. Wait... How does he know Sir Keith and Zane are heroes?
"Spies most likely." Batman reasoned
As Balmus goes to list down the three stooges' screw ups, Keith returns to give Zane some news.
Keith: *whispers to Zane* I'm back. According to Kara, she has no clue how to operate this. And I don't know where GM is.
Zane: *sarcastically, mutters* Oh yay...
Motoyasu: But... I uh... I only did that because I wanted to help! Ren and Itsuki were trying to help too! And you think they're impostors?!
"Uh...yea. You are." Emerald snarked
"You've only made things worse after the waves. Tsk. And you call yourselves heroes." Spinner scoffed
"Waste of a summon." Glass agreed
Zane looked at Keith to make a joke, only for Keith to be frozen stiff. Probably went to check for a manual or something.
Pope Balmus: Your arrogance and foolishness speak volumes. Just as theirs did when they decided to investigate matters far beyond their station. Therefore, they forced God's Judgment to fall upon them!
"So he tried to kill them. But why try to get rid of the heroes? And by which I mean Keith and Zane. The other three can go to hell for all I care." Toga snarked
"Dayum." Mercury snickered
"Wild guess, it's spoilers if you tell us?" Wasp asked the wolf who nodded
Motoyasu: *disbelief* What are you talking about?! H-Hey, wait a second. *looks at Zane and Keith, confused* It wasn't these two?
"No shit." Glass scoffed
"Glass." Kizuna scolded
Zane could barely hear the pope laughing his heart out at Motoyasu's confusion.
Pope Balmus: This farce has been entertaining, but that's enough.
He reaches his outstretched hand to the side and the bishop hands him a sword made of what seems to be wood and magic. Melty gasped in shock upon seeing it.
"A gold sword? Ok, big deal." Shigaraki snarked
"It's a boss weapon." Gen Wolf said.
Pope Balmus: The false Spear Hero and the two demi-human devils, who cling so desperately to life as if they were a cockroach, shall be purified with Holy Judgment. And this country shall finally be given righteous order!
The pope raises the sword above his head, showing it to his small army of hundreds of disciples. They began praying as mana particles began to emanate from them and towards the sword, causing it to glow and be filled with mana.
"That's a lot of followers!" Bell and Akira jinxed
Princess Melty: *worried* Be careful you two! That sword is bad news!
Zane: What sword are you talking about?! I can't even see what he's holding or doing!
In Zane's POV, all he sees on top of the cliff is a humanoid shaped silhouette but it's too far to clearly see what it's doing.
"So that's how he's seeing them." Conner said
"Yea, not all of us have super vision." Wally snarked, getting a fond eye roll from the clone
The sword on Balmus's hands began to glow brighter, something which Zane could see even from below the crater.
Zane: Hey, uh, Keith! Keith, we need ya dude! Like right now!
The pope then points his sword at them and fires a beam of light. Just before the beam could hit them...
Keith's avatar suddenly began moving and dashed forward to deflect the attack. He managed to deflect it towards the crater walls. However, something was clearly wrong...
Frostine/Yanoka/Raphtalia/Filo/Princess Melty: *terrified* WAAAAAHHHH!!!
Zane: HOLY FUCKING SHIT!
Motoyasu and his party members were holding back the urge to barf.
"What? What's wrong?" Sokka asked
The reason for this kind of reaction is because Keith's body was moving while his head was on the ground where he just was and his neck was stretched out like it was a cartoon.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH"! Several people screamed in either fright or in shock.
"WHAT THE HELL?!"
"WHAT HAPPENED?!"

Zane began laughing and wheezing at the sight while everyone, except the pope who can't see due to the forming smoke after Keith had deflected his attack, had this look on their faces:
"How is this funny to him?!" Welf and Erhard gawked
"Because it felt like a glitch to him. Like one of those funny times glitches happen in video games." Wally guessed.
"A glitch?" Hestia repeated confused d
"Like a... mistake. Something that wasn't supposed to happen and its results were weird."
"Kinda like you, Zuzu~" Azula mocked earning a death glare from team avatar, Mai and Ty Lee
Zane wiped away his tears as he cleared his throat and fixed himself as Keith's avatar's head snapped right back into place.
Zane: Okay, it's safe to say that we're all still hallucinating after that one attack.
Yanoka: Is– I– Was that– Spell? Illusion?
Frostine was still bewildered at what she saw but rubbed her eyes just to make sure it was either she was just hallucinating or her master casted an illusion. She didn't even know what just happened and went for the latter.
"A quick lie to excuse what just happened." Wally said in case anyone got confused
Pope Balmus: I must say, even for a devil, you are pretty tough.
Keith: I'll deal with the hearing issue later.
Pope Balmus: But the time of testing has come to an end. I look forward to exacting God's Judgment.
"And by that he means..." Wasp trailed off
"His judgment." Ant-Man finished
Zane: He's saying something, isn't he?
Yanoka: Y-You... You really can't hear him?
Zane: Nuh-uh. I can barely hear him. Let alone see him clearly.
The sword on the pope's hands glows and begins to take shape into a spear identical to that of Motoyasu's Legendary Spear.
"It turned into a spear?"
"Not just any spear. That's the spear idiot's spear."
"But how?!"
Princess Malty: W-What's he doing?
Princess Melty: I-Is that a...
Zane: What? What's he holding?
Motoyasu: W-Wait a second, did he just turn his sword into a spear?
Zane: He did what now?
Yanoka: The pope turned his sword into a spear.
Zane: Oh that would've been cool. *ticked off* I wish I could goddamn see it!
Princess Melty: There's only one possibility... It's a replica of the Cardinal Weapons.
"A replica of the cardinal weapons?!" Kizuna repeated in shock
Raphtalia: How can there be a replica? Where'd he get it?
Princess Melty: A long time ago, someone tried to find a way to duplicate the three weapons of the legendary heroes for personal gain. They wanted to make an ultimate weapon that could change forms between all three to use the skills of each. But I was taught that it was lost centuries ago.
"It's always personal gain." The avengers and justice league sighed
Keith: Well, look at you. You definitely aced your history lessons.
"She's been taught well." Allura approved
"Well, she's the next queen. She has to know this." Coran reasoned
Motoyasu: If he uses that weapon, isn't that cheating?
"Is everything cheating to them?!" Ryuji exclaimed annoyed
Motoyasu: Myne, tell me, is this true?
Princess Malty: *baffled* H-Huh? How in the world should I know?
"Shouldn't the supposed 'next queen' know this?" Haru sweatdropped
"She doesn't know the first thing about her history. How's she supposed to lead her country?" Yue asked in disapproval
"She figured as long as she got the throne in the end, it wouldn't matter." T'Challa scoffed
Princess Melty: It's the stuff of legend, anyone familiar with the history of Melromarc or Church history has heard the stories. Finding it should've been big news.
Yanoka: But because it wasn't, the Church must've kept it a secret.
"And they've been planning this takeover since then. Or maybe before." Hawkeye said
Princess Melty: And if that's the case, maybe it was never lost to begin with.
Zane: So... Long story short, the Three Heroes Church kept a powerful artifact for themselves? In simpler terms... they're the bad guys.
"Pretty much, yea." Robin said
Keith: Basically.
Zane: Huh... Why am I not surprised...?
Keith: Hey, the Roman Catholic Church started as money grubbing assholes. It's only the way it is now because of Martin Luther.
Zane: *confused* The black guy?
"Who?" Toph asked
"Martin Luther King. He was a civil rights activist." Captain America informed
Keith: Wha– No! The priest.
Zane: There was a priest named Martin Luther?
"Now that I didn't know." Captain America said, adding that to the list
Keith: Yes. You should know this, aren't you Catholic?
Zane: How do you know this, aren't you an atheist?
Keith paused and raised a finger to argue before thinking about it.
Keith: Touché.
"An atheist?" Mai repeated confused
"A person who doesn't believe in god or any religion."
"Why would he not believe in any religion?" Hestia asked
"There are some who are more into science than religion. Others are just non-believers. And rarely, they just aren't interested or aren't raised religious." Gen Wolf said.
Zane: *looks at Melty* So, miss historian, how come the heroes were still summoned despite the holy douchebag up there having that kind of weapon.
"That kind of power must have a cost." Wonder Woman said
Princess Melty: It's powerful, but it requires a tremendous amount of mana for anyone to use it. Just taking that test swing earlier must've drained dozens of his mages of all their energy.
"How much energy are they losing?" Aang asked
"Enough for it to be potentially fatal." Fitoria informed
Pope Balmus: It's no wonder to anyone that you are first in line to take the throne, Princess Melty. You've educated yourself well. Too bad the same cannot be said to your conniving sister, who was always far too busy with her conspiracies.
Malty just scowled at Balmus' remark.
"Don't scoff. He's right about that much," Yue scolded
Pope Balmus: The mana required by this legendary weapon will be given willingly by all the believers that have followed God here today! My brethren, the war we wage now is between Our Lord and the two demi-human devils! It is a holy crusade which we fight in the name of the God of the ages! Offer your prayers, all of you, to the legendary weapon imbued with divine power! And we shall purge this world of the false Spear Hero and the demi-human devils!
"Purge the spear idiot, leave the other two alone." Spinner said
"Theater 1*
"Why do I feel like someone wants me dead?" Motoyasu groaned
His followers began to pray and transfer their mana to the weapon, despite some of them already collapsing from exhaustion.
"Some are collapsing already!" Black canary exclaimed
"Don't worry. They're just unconscious." Gen Wolf informed
Zane: Whatever he's holding, it's glowing again! If it's powered by his believers, can we at least take them out?
Keith: And have us be branded as murderers? No thanks, mate.
"But aren't the followers as guilty?" Toga asked
And who do you think the people will believe more? Them or the two devils?" Kurogiri askedd.
"Dammit!" Toga scoffed
Zane: Well then, I guess we'll be having a boss fight in our hands!
The redhead lifts up his Fusion Sword and takes a fighting stance, only for Motoyasu to stand in his way.
Motoyasu: *raises his fist* I shall not stand for this! You manipulate us for your own selfish goals and when you're finished, you cast us aside like refuse! The depths of your evils are fathomless! As a Cardinal Hero, I must punish you for that!
Literally everyone in the room was deadpanning him. Even the past avatars within Aang and Korra were completely unimpressed
"What the hell is he saying right now?" Dabi deadpanned
"Crap her doesn't mean." Shigaraki said unimpressed
"Even the fakest of heroes didn't sound like this." Spinner sweatdropped
"I'm actually getting dumber hearing this." Ryuji deadpanned

Raphtalia: *mutters* He doesn't sound like he means any of this...

"Agreed." Fitoria sighed, actually getting a small headache from hearing this
Motoyasu: *points at Balmus* Prepare yourself, pope! I will defeat you! Today, Itsuki and Ren's lives shall be avenged!
Zane lowered his weapon as he watched Motoyasu launch his Lightning Spear attack at the pope, only for it to be blocked by a barrier. The pope laughs at such a weak attack.
"A barrier? Of course he has a barrier! Why not?!" Lili threw her hands up in annoyance
Motoyasu: What the?! Is that a... a barrier?!
Zane throws his hands up in exasperation.
Zane: Of course the pope has a holy barrier. Why wouldn't he...
Filo: *whiningly* No fair!
"If that weapon can copy the cardinal weapons, then that's likely his version of the Air Strike Strike." Batman deduced
"Can he not turn it into said shield?" Superman asked
"It's possible. But even if he could, he wouldn't. As far as he's concerned, that's a devil's weapon." Batman explained
Princess Melty: We can't scratch him through that force field. We gotta find a way to bring it down.
Keith: Melty has a point. We can probably power through it or cut off the mana supply.
Motoyasu: I can't do it alone. Grayson, Levi. It's time for you guys and I to work together to defeat him.
"You can't be serious..." Welf deadpanned
"Didn't you just try to kill him like 5 minutes ago?" Keel asked unimpressed
"It's official. He's stupid." Makoto said, downing an aspirin.
"That's been official for a while now." Hestia groaned
Keith/Zane:
"My thoughts exactly, boys." Emerald sighed, getting an aspirin
He then looks at his party members, who had all gotten up to join Motoyasu in this fight.
Motoyasu: Let's go!
Princess Malty: *to Balmus* You are going to pay with your life for the sin of turning against the next queen!
"You're not the next damn queen, you harpy!" Toga and Lili exclaimed
Rino/Lesty: As source of thy power, I order thee!
Princess Malty: As source of thy power, and as the next queen, I order thee!
"So pretentious.." Batman sighed, getting an aspirin
Filo/Princess Melty: 😒
Princess Melty: *deadpan* Oh come on.
Filo: *unamused* Wow, everybody in Spear Guy's party is annoying.
"That's probably the nice way of putting it." Oscar shook his head
Rino/Lesty/Princess Malty: Decipher the laws of nature and burn my target down! Zweite Fire!
The spell surged towards Motoyasu's spear head and swirled around it, creating another combo skill.
Motoyasu: This is the end for you! Burst Flare Lance!
Motoyasu thrusted his spear at the pope's direction and unleashed a torrent of fire towards him, creating a massive explosion of fire.
Motoyasu: *confidently* That oughta do it.
"Nope/no/doubt it." Everyone jinxed knowing it wasn't that easy
Keith/Zane: *unimpressed* Nope.
As the dust settled, the pope stood unscathed.
"Gasp." Robin drawled sarcastically
"Gee, didn't see that coming." Zatana rolled her eyes
Pope Balmus: You're all a disgrace. You refuse to gracefully accept God's merciful judgment and continue your futile resistance. Then again, no mercy shall be granted to a devil.
"I hate religious fanaticism." Green Arrow sighed
"Using God as an excuse to commit murder or worse. It's inexcusable." Captain America agreed
Motoyasu: *growls* You'll see just how futile our resistance really is!
Spinning his spear again and preparing a skill before attacking.
Motoyasu: Meteor Thrust!
He thrusts his spear at the pope and fires a spear of energy at him but like earlier, nothing.
"That felt stronger. Oh wait, no it didn't." Korra scoffed
Motoyasu: Even that wasn't powerful enough?!
Pope Balmus: This barrier is no mere shield! It is utterly impregnable!
Yanoka: He has too many believers empowering those shields.
"I bet those two would eliminate them if they didn't care for their reputation." Yamato said
Princess Melty: They're pooling all their mana together. Creating an impossible magical barrier.
Pope Balmus: Alright then, if you're done, it's my turn to attack.
With a flick of the spear, the pope sent a wave of fire in front of the two parties, almost burning them.
"With a quick flick?" Conner gaped
Pope Balmus: What do you think of that? All it takes is a slight stroke of the wrist.
"I hope you get an actual stroke." Lili growled
Zane and Keith have no idea what he was saying but they were sure he was saying that it was their turn to attack.
Motoyasu: Using a weapon that can do stuff like that is cheating! Fight us fair and square!
"Really blondie?" Futaba sighed
Zane just looked at Motoyasu like he was crazy.
Zane: *jokingly* Why would the pope give up the high ground?
Keith cracked up at that but otherwise remained serious, despite not hearing what Balmus was saying.
"Is that an earthling joke I don't understand?" Thor asked
"It's a line from one of these 'Star Wars' movies. I don't understand why Mace Windu looks a little bit like Nick Fury." Captain America said confused by that
Pope Balmus: It has so much power I could even use it to purify the devils. It's time, we must bestow God's merciful judgment on his enemies!
???: Hundred Swords!
???: Meteor Shot!
"Those voices!"
"It's them!"
Pope Balmus looked on the other side of the crater and saw a barrage of glowing blue swords and a glowing blue arrow shaped energy attack heading towards him. Casting up barriers to block the attacks, he was shocked that they managed to break through.
"They broke through?!"
"Likely due to it being a surprise attack."
Bishop: *worriedly* Your Holiness!
Pope Balmus: *disbelief* It's not possible.
On the other side of the crater, it was none other than Itsuki and Ren.
Itsuki: *smugly* Looks like we got here just in time.
The scene fades to black.
"They're alive." Asami said surprise
"Yay?" Keel cheered unsure
"Appropriate response." Haru said.
"Should I care or...?" Oscar asked conflicted
"Meh. I don't." Toga shrugged.
"Neither do I." Mercury shrugged
"I'm kinda rooting for the old man to kill the bitch and three idiots." Spinner admitted
