Mikasa, Formidable, Fletcher, and Avrora

New character for future chapters everbody! Her name is Georgios Averof, she was a request.

I know the Greek/Hellenic Navy doesn't exist in Azur Lane so she's going to be from an alter world. The Greek Navy will be named Hellas Republic, there will be other alter nations in reactions like Maple Monarchy (Canada). I will add her in the Mikasa reaction (expect this today)

Current requests to be accepted after the Epilogue:

- Battle of Guadalcanal

- Battle of Tarawa

- HMS Dreadnought

Chapter starts:

"Alright, let's start"

Another video plays

'Naval Legends: Avrora'

"In this episode, we will showcase Cruiser Avrora."

The opening of the Naval Legends shows then back to speaker

"At the beginning of autumn 2014, cruiser Avrora went for another refit. Her tenth in more than a hundred years of the ship's history." The speaker says as her ship is shown being pushed/pulled by smaller ships

"Quite the celebrity you are in alter worlds old lady" Mikasa says

"But I'm younger than you.. and we're both old..." Avrora says

"...like I said, I'm still young. You are old, proof is the white hair" Mikasa replies in denial as Avrora sighs

(Really? This again?) The shipgirls thought

"There wasn't anything special about her, Avrora was an ordinary cruiser of her time. Today, few remember the names of two ships of this class, while the story of Avrora is truly amazing. Her life was a chain of grandiose events and lucky circumstances that allowed her to survive and be preserved as she is now." The speaker says as we see Avrora's ship docked with some people

Avrora had a smile, a little prideful but not as much as Mikasa

Yuriy Kruchkov from the last video is shown

"The cruiser class that included Diana, Pallada, and Avrora became unique. Why? Because her class was the first Northern Parliament-built class, all three cruisers were laid down, built, and launched." He states as more of Avrora's ship is explored until old clips show of Naval officers

"At that time, it was more profitable for Northern Parliament to order ships abroad. Domestic shipyards required more time to complete the construction, and the cost was something even higher than in the Royal Navy." The speaker says as clips of ships were being built and/or launched into the sea.

A new person appears on screen. Avrora's ship is seen in the background as text appears

"Kirill Nazarenko

DOCTOR OF SCIENCE (HISTORY), ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, ST. PETERSBURG UNIVERSITY"

"One might think that the ships should have been ordered abroad which makes things cheap, quick, and efficient. However there was one problem, the Royal Navy was our main potential adversary" He states

Queen Elizabeth and Warspite sigh, remembering the times when they were the only dominant power of the seas and oceans

"New protected cruiser Avrora and her sister ships, Diana and Pallada were intended for two main tasks which are operations on enemy supply lines, as well reconnaissance and support within a squadron" The speaker says as we see Avrora's bell and her front gun turning to the port side

Another new person appears

"Vladislav Polyantsev

LIEUTENANT COMMANDER, CRUISER AVRORA"

"We're now on the legendary cruiser Avrora, launched in 1900. The uniqueness of this ship lies in the fact that having lived through three wars, her ship is now a floating Museum, but it's still beautiful." The commander says

(Three?) The shipgirls thought

For those who are confused I'm going to repeat again, WW1 and WW2 never happened in my version. Royal Navy and Ironblood are just rivals, same goes for Sakura Empire and Eagle Union. Let's just say WW1 and WW2 are alternate histories in alter worlds like what happened in the anime and the game. I'm the author so I can do whatever I want, if you guys request then I will one day make them react to WW1 and WW2.

Video continues

"Ships specifications:

Length: 416 ft

Beam: 55 ft

Total displacement: 6,731 tons

Draft: 21 ft

Scene changes back to the commander

"The engine is the heart of any ship. Here we have a closed cycle steam power plant. Out of three machines, only one which drives the middle propeller remained intact. Her ship was built in 1900 but is still operational." The commander states

"Main power plant:

24 Belleville boilers, 3 three-cylinder triple expansion steam engines

Power output: 11,971 hp

For electric equipment, the rudder gear was electrically driven, but could be also actuated manually or with steam." The speaker says

Scene changes back to the commander as he is seen holding Avrora's steering wheel

"We're now in the steering compartment of cruiser Avrora. It was used to manually shift the rudder blade and turn the ship around. One man alone could barely rotate the helm. To overcome the water resistance, the efforts of three men were needed. It is perfectly preserved and looks the way it did more than a hundred years ago." The commander says as he slightly steers the wheel

"How heavy" Formidable says as Avrora turns red, and all Royal Navy shipgirls look at her

"What? Is there something wrong?" Formidable asks confused in a somewhat menacing tone while everyone looks back to the screen

"Armored deck is from 1.5 to 2.5 inches, its conning tower is 6 inches.

At the end of the 19th century, good 1st rank cruisers had the thickness of their conning tower armor equal to the caliber of their main guns." The commander says as he walks on the ship and the scene changes to Avrora's guns

"Armament at the beginning of the Parlia-Sakuranese War:

8 Canet guns, caliber 6 inches (primary armament)

24 Canet guns, caliber 3 inches (dual-purpose artillery)

3 mine/torpedo launchers, caliber 15 inches" The speaker says as the different guns show including the launchers within the ship

"Initially, the main armament of the ship consisted of eight Canet guns on the upper deck with an additional 24 guns on the gun deck. Before the cruiser to the Far East, optical sights were mounted on all guns. The thickness of the armor sheets on each gun is 1 inch." The commander states

"Maximum speed is 19.2 knots, her cruising range is 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots" The speaker says as her ship engines are shown.

"The construction of cruiser Avrora too six years, quite a long period of time, one might say."

"HAH! I knew it! You are older!" Mikasa yells proudly as Avrora sighs

"This is understandable, the industry in Northern Parliament was not as developed as somewhere like the Royal Navy. Initially, it was a project aimed at fighting against Royal Navy merchant ships. However while the new cruiser was being constructed, a new enemy; Iron Blood and its powerful navy came to the stage" Yuriy says as old clips are shown again

(Us?) The Iron Blood shipgirls thought

"In addition, another geopolitical task arose, the military buildup of the Sakura Empire and the development of its navy. That was the third geopolitical task and there were only three ships under construction. To cover all these tasks using only three ships was a challenge. That's why during her construction the cruiser's purpose and classification were changed from time to time" Yuriy states

"Against the.. Royal Navy.. Iron Blood... and Sakura Empire.." Laffey says

"And those nations are currently major superpowers.." Hammann says

Avrora has some flashbacks, remembering how busy she was

"Shortly after the commissioning trials in 1903, Avrora headed to the Pacific Ocean accompanied by other ships in order to provide enforcement for the First Pacific Squadron of the Northern Parliament. During that cruise, Avrora received the order to return to port due to the Parlia-Sakuranese War that had commenced recently." The speaker says

Scene changes to Professor Kirill

"The Second Pacific Squadron was formed. In autumn the squadron was sent to the Far East, and now she was to fulfill her duties as a scout ship. It was one of the most difficult voyages in naval history" Professor Kirill says as a map is shown

"The ships covered 18,000 miles over the course of 223 days. During this long voyage, Avrora called at a port only once in Tangier; all other, numerous, instances of coaling took place right at sea." The speaker says as the map shows how far the journey was. They basically had to travel across the world.

The shipgirls are shocked, Avrora remembers how hard and tiring it was

"What is coaling? Immense heat, sweat, coal dust covering all of your body. This could last for hours, or even days in the case of large ships. However that wasn't the only problem, after coaling was finished all surfaces had to be washed, because all; superstructure elements were literally coated with coal dust which not only caused overheating, but also harmed the health of crew members. It was an ordeal for Northern Parliament sailors." Yuriy says as we see coal being put somewhere and men working their backs on the coal

"On May 27, 1905, the Northern Parliament squadron was met by a Sakura Empire fleet at the Korea Strait, where the battle of Tsushima commenced" The speaker says

"The events progressed in a worst case scenario. The Northern Parliament squadron was utterly defeated, four brand new battleships were sunk, and another one named Oryol was heavily damaged and barely stayed afloat." Professor Kirill says as we see a battleship on fire

The shipgirls lower their heads again

"Cruiser Avrora engaged in the battle 45 minutes after it started. In the company of other cruisers, she defended transport ships that were part of the squadron against the superior Sakura Empire forces" The speaker says as we see Avrora firing her guns on both sides while enemy shells were missing

"Then she accompanied the line of Northern Parliament battleships. The Sakura Empire pelted Avrora with fire. During the battle, the number of hits received by the cruiser amounted to 18 hits. She fired about 2,000 shots at the enemy ships." The speaker continues as Avrora's deck is on fire but still sails and fires her guns

Avrora flinches a little, Mikasa pats her back

"The shells hit the smoke stacks, they were riddled with small fragments. The first smoke stack was barely holding up, it was hit by two shells that left breaches of more than 43 square feet each. Most shells hit the forward part of the ship. The biggest breach on the gun deck was about 21 square feet meters. The conning tower was hit twice having broken the hammock netting and steel ladder, the fragments of the exploded shell flew into the conning tower. Four people were injured, and the ship commander Captain Yegoryev was fatally injured." The commander says as we see Avrora firing her guns

"98 people died or were injured, a sixth of the crew. All main and secondary guns were damaged. However the crew of cruiser Avrora kept their chins up." The speaker states

"All that damage.. and yet those lowly animals still don't give up..." Deutschland says

"Three people worked at each boiler. One would open the doors, and two others would shovel the coal into it. During the Battle of Tsushima, the 144 people were throwing the coal into the boilers at temperatures of almost 200 degrees F for 28 hours without stopping." The commander states

"It must really be hot in there.." Fletcher says

"Avrora withstood the day despite the damage received, and once it was dark the cruiser managed to break through the tight encirclement of the enemy destroyers and shake off their pursuit." The commander says

"Amazing.." Edinburgh says

"In that situation, Admiral Enkvist, the commander of the cruiser squadron, made the absolutely correct decision to not break through to Vladivostok. By returning to Manila, Enkvist saved those ships for Russia." Kirill says

(If he didn't do that, maybe Avrora wouldn't be here..) Mikasa thought

The scene goes on to further explore Avrora's ship

"She was named after the goddess of the dawn and starry sky, she was fortunate from the very beginning to be among the ten surviving ships and return home after the Battle of Tsushima. Doesn't that prove that Avrora was born under a lucky star?" The speaker says

Avrora turns red as Mikasa laughs

"Almost the entire battle core of the Northern Parliament fleet was destroyed, and even ships that were considered obsolete like Avrora and Diana which both had survived the Parlia-Sakuranese War, could still be useful to the fleet" Kirill says

"In 1909, cruiser Avrora became a training ship, and entered the First World War with that status" The speaker says as old clips are shown of soldiers running, artillery firing, and a ship firing

Everyone looks towards Avrora concerned

"World War?" Avrora asks in confusion, she doesn't know anything about this 'World War'

"Really? It must've happened in an alter world then.." Queen Elizabeth says concerned

Everyone is now wondering what is this 'World War' but they have to continue watching, the video will probably explain it a little

"Avrora was part of the 2nd Cruiser Squadron of the Baltic Fleet. It's main mission was to not let the Iron Blood Navy reach St. Petersburg, so laying the minefield in the Gulf of Finland was a priority task." Yuriy states

The Iron Blood shipgirls were shocked at the mention of their faction, Avrora was also shocked

"What.." Bismarck says in a low tone while Tirpitz pats her back

The Royal Navy grow in concern as well, because if Iron Blood was in the war, it was possible their nation was apart of it as well.

"The cruiser's job was to patrol minefields and support destroyers, so Avrora fulfilled those tasks from the very beginning." Yuriy says

Avrora slightly smiles, even if she was still old and outdated, she can still serve her nation

"But it should be noted that the ship was already outdated by 1914, 1915, 1916. Her ship was in constant need of repairs." Yuriy says

"The steam engine had to be completely replaced. In this condition, Avrora met the February Revolution in the Northern Parliament, and she was almost in the same condition during the October Revolution." Kirill says as old clips are shown. It showed the people revolting holding weapons.

The other kansens have heard the stories about the Northern Parliament Revolutions, but they've never seen it or why it happened.

"Grandma Avrora, how did it start?" Javelin asks curious, same with the other destroyers

Avrora smiles, she remembers how she helped start that famous revolution. Communism.

"It's a.. long story, let's continue watching for the meantime" Avrora replies as the destroyers nod

"During the revolutionary events of 1917, the sailors of the Baltic Fleet, Avrora in particular played an almost decisive role in the Bolsheviks victory." The speaker says as we see soldiers and sailors holding weapons

"Bolshevik?" Unicorn asks

"It means 'Majority'" Avrora replies with a smile as Unicorn nods in thanks

"This active participation of the sailors was determined by a number of factors. Sailors were extremely bored on the ship, and they were wondering why the war was happening? What they were fighting for? Why things in society worked this or that way? Their officers could have answered those questions if they had talked to their sailors and taken interest in those issues themselves" Kirill says

"They.. don't know what happened?" Avrora asks stunned, to think they weren't informed of the war at all

"In Tsarist Northern Parliament, the naval officers were mostly from nobility. They wouldn't come down to the engine room, and they controlled the work of both Avrora and the personnel by looking through the internal portholes." The commander states

Avrora sighs, remembering the times her officers would think that she's just a weapon and not an actual human being. She remembers most of her officers not doing almost anything while the rest of the crew worked with their backs day and night. Mikasa looks at her in concern, she did not receive that kind of treatment from her nation.

"This corridor maintained its historical look, riveted bulkheads and internal portholes from 1900, they've survived to the present day." The commander says

"That's really impressive now that I think about it.. to be able to preserve a ship that's more than 100 years old..." FDG says

"It must've taken a lot of great care" Sheffield says

"By 1917, there was a rift between the officers and the rank and file. The Bolsheviks used this for their own benefit." The speaker says

"A sailor serving on Avrora was a peasant who entered another environment, but the folks up top remained the same that being the nobility and the officer corps. A peasant who became a sailor fought on his action station for his action station and his ship, reporting to a nobleman, an officer. It required strict discipline that was propagated in all leading fleets." Yuriy states

(Peasant?) Everyone thought, that can't be good

"As soon as the ship docks, the sailors have free time, what did free time mean for a sailor in the early 1900s? It was anything but combat training. Leaflets, propaganda." Yuriy says as we see a person speaking and some people holding something while one is speaking.

"Aurora was anchored near a factory wall where there were plenty of workers. It was natural for the crew to get involved in the revolutionary movement. When the revolution began on February 23, 1917, the Avrora sailors supported it along with Avrora herself" Kirill states

"On February 28, the Avrora crew came ashore. The sailors along with Avrora tried to make their commander, Captain 1st Rank Nikolsky, carry the red flag. He refused and was murdered." Kirill says

Everyone looked towards Avrora, even more concerned about what happened

"Well there are many versions of Nikolsky's death. One of them is that Nikolsky forbade his sailors to take part in the demonstration that was held on the shore. When he came out to the main deck saying 'Halt! Don't move! I'm not letting you go!' the sailors revolted. The rebels should be shot, that was the rule, and when he opened fire, he didn't even think it might end badly for him. He thought he would shoot one or two mutineers, and things would calm down." Yuriy says

Everyone had a bruh face

"That was just stupid" Prinz Eugen says

"I.. agree" Admiral Hipper says

"Things had already progressed to a revolution mentality. By October 1917, Avrora was a completely revolutionary ship. On October 25, the cruiser stood in the fairway of the Neva River near the Nikolayevsky Bridge. At 21:45, she fired her bow gun, which began the October Revolution."

Avrora has a flashback, remembering that glorious moment

"One of the myths about the legendary cruiser Avrora is that she fired at the Winter Palace during the revolution. The Winter Palace was a government building at the time, so it would have been like firing at Buckingham Palace from the Thames or at the White House from the center of Washington." Yuriy says as we see groups of men with guns raiding the Palace

The Royal Navy and Eagle Union shiver at the thought of their own government buildings being fired at

"The very next day after the assault on the Winter Palace, newspapers wrote that Avrora was firing combat shells at a governmental building the Winter Palace. As a matter of fact, a combat shot could not have happened, because when passed for repairs, a ship of any nation gets disarmed, so it was a blank shot. This myth, borne by mass media still remains alive till today." Yuriy says

"And I thought I was busy being the leader of the Sakura Empire" Mikasa said jokingly as Avrora nudges her

"In the summer of 1918, guns were removed from Avrora and sent to the frontline of the Northern Parliament Civil War. However four months before the ship was placed into reserves, she was one step away from destruction.." The speaker says

Avrora shivers, the shipgirls continue watching with concern

"An explosive device was found in one of the ship's magazines. It was neutralized by Avrora's chief artillery officer, Lieutenant Vinter. The bomb detonated right in his hands, and the officer was injured. This accident shows that back then, cruiser Avrora was already perceived as a symbol." Kirill states

(She really knows how to cheat death..) Mikasa thought

"However, despite her merits for the revolution, Avrora had every chance to get scrapped. The Northern Parliament had no funds to promptly rebuild its fleet. Of the two cruisers of this type, Avrora and Diana, the former had an important advantage, she had been overhauled. A a result, Diana was scrapped, and Avrora returned to Avrora returned to service as a training ship." The speaker states

Avrora lowers her head in sadness, and the shipgirls look at her in pity.

(Sisters..) Avrora thought, she lost both of her older sisters. The eldest named Pallada, she was sunk by a siren, and the middle being Diana, you all know what happened. Avrora was the youngest, her life really has quite the histroy.

"The next time, the Navy thought about decommissioning Avrora. She was in the early 1940s, but then a new war reared its head." The speaker says

(Wait, another one? In the 1940s?) The shipgirls thought, their concern grew

"In September 1941, Iron Blood forces were breaking through to Leningrad renamed St. Petersburg." The speaker says as old clips were shown of destroyers, sailors, etc.

Iron Blood was shocked again, everyone thought what were they doing in other worlds

"Every cannon and every soldier were integral. Once again, Avrora's guns were removed from the ship and placed in the suburbs of the city." The speaker states

"What is done within a month in peacetime, they did within a day. Bringing a crane to Avrora, removing her guns, placing them on a flatcar taking them to their positions, and the positions themselves are pretty sophisticated fortifications." Kuriy says

"Wouldn't she be defenseless without her guns?" Junyou asks

"Yes.. but we will have to see I suppose" Taihou replies

"What is a fortified position? It's a place where you have to sort of recreate a ship deck, so they dug special pits and cast concrete inside, and this concrete served as a ship deck. They brought these huge heavy guns in by hand, placed them on these platforms, and fastened them. Removing, delivering, and installing the guns; it was all equally heroic." Yuriy states

"So it's.. making a ship... without making the ship?" Ayanami asks

"I guess you can say that" Pennsylvania replies

"To deliver the guns by hand.." Arizona says

A clip is shown of a gun firing

"Together with the guns, seamen left the cruiser to fight on the ground. Avrora's main battery fought at Duderhof Hills. The crew showed themselves to be heroes, and almost all of them fell defending the city." The speaker says as we see men marching and an area where we can see multiple guns together.

The shipgirls lower their heads in respect

"I'm sorry for our alter nation's actions.." Tirpitz says, she felt as if she failed as co-leader

"Don't be, this is in alter worlds" Avrora replies

"The guns were installed just in time for the defense of Leningrad itself. The Iron Blood 4th Tank Group was at the tip of the spear, and Battery A which is composed of guns and seamen from cruiser Avrora stood in their way. The sailors fulfilled their duty, and they accomplished their mission. This is how Avrora took part in the defense of Leningrad." Yuriy says as a memorial area is shown

The shipgirls lower their heads in respect

"The cannons from Avrora were fighting not only at Duderhof Hills. The aft gun was taken from the ship's deck straight to armored train Baltiyets. The cruiser herself was fighting Iron Blood aircraft in the port of Oranienbaum." The speaker says as we see a clip of anti-aircraft guns on Avrora firing

Iron Blood was now really wondering what happened in alter worlds

"She was seriously damaged by enemy air bombs and artillery shells, Avrora was run aground, but she still continued to defend the sky of Leningrad from Iron Blood aviation." The speaker says as we clips of water explosions near Avrora's ship

"Avrora was sitting on the ground, she remained in the ranks throughout the entire war, and her flying flag was a symbol of this, she was fighting and she was fulfilling her duty." Yuriy states

Avrora smiles, she will always serve and defend her nation. No matter how outdated or old she is.

"As Avrora was beginning her fifth decade in service, she was already considered a legendary ship in the Northern Parliament Navy. For this reason, even before World War 2 was over, a decision was taken to preserve the ship as a monument of military history and the revolution." The speaker says

"Wait.. did he just say World War 2?!" Zuikaku yells

Every kansen was in shock, another World War. They thought that this was between Iron Blood and Northern Parliament but this World War 2 involved the world again, they hope that they would one day view these wars and hope they could prevent it. Unless people decide to be stupid and dumb.

"The ship was brought afloat, handed over to the Nakhimov Naval School, and anchored in front of the historic Peter the Great Palace, which hosts the school. In the 1960s, the Northern Parliament government decided to make Avrora a symbol of the October Revolution and created this image of a cruiser giving the signal to start the uprising." The speaker states

"This is when they created this famous picture with Avrora and her searchlight cutting through the darkness." Kirill says as we see Avrora's ship sailing in the dark but all her lights are open

(Oh the symbolism..) Avrora thought

"Commissioned in 1903, cruiser Avrora could have been destroyed in the Battle of Tsushima, could have gotten sunk by an Iron Blood submarine during World War 1, or could have been scrapped after the Northern Parliament Revolution and the Civil War. In World War 2, she could have been destroyed by Iron Blood aircraft or artillery, but the cruiser is still in service." Yuriy states

Most shipgirls now realized how lucky Avrora was

"Doesn't that prove that she's not only the most legendary but also the luckiest ship in the histroy of the Northern Parliament Navy?" Yuriy says

Avrora turns red again, she has never received this much praise even though this is from an alter world

"And now, having celebrated her 113th birthday, Avrora has returned to her place at the Petrograd Embankment as a symbbol of St. Petersburg and the histroy of the Northern Parliament Navy." The speaker says as one short video feed shows still exploring Avrora's ship as she is docked. And now.. the video ends.

"... wow, you're really REALLY old" Mikasa says

"Aren't we about to view you next?" Avrora asks as Mikasa turns a little pale. Now Avrora, will get her chance of fun.

"Wait first, before Mikasa's video starts... another shipgirl will be joining." The screen says

All right, end for Avrora. Next part is for Mikasa. Like I said, Georgios Averof will be joining and I'm sorry for the late upload, but hey at least you guys will get TWO chapters in ONE day.

Happy day guys
