During a school field trip, Liz Walker, Jim Lake Jr., and their trollhunter friends meet the Paris superheroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir, whom they saved from an akumatised villain. Along the way, they discover that Liz shares a strange connection with the Miraculous, including the Butterfly Miraculous, notoriously used by the infamous Shadow Moth.
