"Lets go to Baileeys next!" Remi hops along, dragging her two bag holders along with her (Isen and Blyke)
"Oh that's the biggest clothing store in the mall, why haven't we gone yet?" Sera perks, a smile on her face
"The suns still high! lets get moving!" Elaine reignites her passion for shopping
"NO!" Me and my fellow bag holders say in sync
"Oh cmonn! just one more store!" Remi pleads to Blyke and Isen, who seem to have had their soul sucked out of them by the last store
"You said that the last two times" Says the king, which has only one bag in hand
This asshole hasn't been through hell yet huh? I wont leave until this fucker has 50 bags in his hand.
"Lets take a boba break before we go" Sera, my lord and savior says.. how long have we been here? a boba break is exactly what I need right now
We walk along the stores, heading back to the central area
We end up in the same area again, right Infront of the boba store we previously bought from
I watch as Remi struggle to pick a flavor, ultimately ending in Elaine picking for her.
I look away to the side, enjoying my boba and trying to pretend I'm not hanging out with the people who Im supposed to hate the most in the entire goddamn school.
well, aside from Zeke of course, nobody can beat Zeke on that list
I hear giggling behind me
My eyes shift a bit to see two girls smiling and pointing over to me
What the fuck?
Did they recognize me from school?
...
No they look older
Young adults maybe?
"Hey are you alone?" One of the girls calls out to me
I look around and realize I wandered a bit far from the group
What do they want?? If they aren't from school then do they just feel like bullying a random person today?
"No..?" I reply
"You should come shop with us!" the girl behind her steps closer to me, wrapping her hands around my right arm
I shiver
"Hey excu-"
"kya! He's muscular~" She squeals wrapping her arms around me completely
At this point I'm too shocked to think
I pull away, taking a few steps back
My face full of disgust, saying all the words that I assume were needed
"Cmon.. Don't be like that! come with us" She persists
"No thank you." I say coldly, are people in this day and age unable to take a fucking hint?

She babbles on, trying to convince me regardless of the endless excuses I managed to pull out of my ass.
"Im sure you'll enjo-"
"Im here with my boyfriend" I say, with a bit too much volume as I see a few passerbys look over
She goes silent, her face turning pink with embarrassment

I feel eyes burning into my headback
My head turns once again, this time to see a blonde.

"Im here with my boyfriend"

"Hey where's John?" Remi asks
"He probably went to the bathroom" Seraphina replies to her
"Isn't that him over there?" Blyke points over towards the center of the plaza
He's talking to two girls, or middle aged..women? whatever the case may be I really don't care.

Seraphina squints, looking over towards them
Worried for her boyfriend maybe? I don't have the slightest clue.
"Why don't you go call him over, Arlo?" She suggests
I look to the pinkette a bit dumbfounded
"What?" I ask, wondering why she doesn't get him herself
Hes her friend after all
"We'll finish our drinks in the meantime" She suggests, though it felt more like akin to a command
I grumble in protest before caving and making my way over the the bane of my existence. Which I cant seem to hate properly
"Don't be shy.. Just come with us for a bit~" I hear from the distance,

I shake the thoughts away and head over to pull him out of the hell he seems to experiencing, judging by his over dramatic facial expression.
I reach to touch his shoulder. before my body freezes completely, that is.
"Im here with my boyfriend"
The girls faces freeze, looking up at me then back down to him
I feel my ears heat ever so slightly, understanding what kind of misunderstanding they just had
..not that ill try to clear it though, that would be a.. waste of time

One of the two slowly starts backing away, rambling apologies and dragging her friend with her, who is still frozen like a deer in head lights
He flinches, finally realizing someone is behind him
Large amber doe eyes look up at me slowly spreading along with a red flush
Is he prone to blushing?
Id never expect it, considering who it is
"The rest are looking for you" I say, taking in the view once again
its oddly silent, the people in the background walking around, chatting and laughing seem to faze out in the space
"Hey..that.." He starts, eyes shifting to the side
My eyes narrow
"Don't worry, I wont tell anyone about your"
"..boyfriend"
I say.. even with the knowledge that it was probably just his last attempt at escaping the two girls
something swirls bitterly in on my tongue
"Hey you asshole.. that wasn't--" He tries to explain haphazardly
I start walking ahead of him

Johns POV
I drag my feet on the tiles as the group heads towards the exit
Today was even worse than my expectations, we ended up staying for three more hours in Baileeys, and Isen kept getting lost so we had to circle back five times to find his stupid ass
I got lost my.. fair.. cough. amount of times, but five is just dumb!
The group chats and laughs, carrying their bags and talking about what happened in the store
"Ah look!" Remi points towards a small shabby-looking stand with teddy bears on display and a sign that says..
Ability gauging
"Wanna try it?" Remi asks
"Sure why not!" Isen smirks
"Who knows maybe my tier went up after all that bag holding.."
Remi laughs while walking over to the vendor, the group following behind her
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I ONLY GOT A FOUR!" Rings in my ears
I watch as a blonde lady with a bejeweled choker yells over the counter at the vendor
"Are they fighting?" Isen perks a brow
"It looks one pretty one sided to me" My expression shifts
"Ma'am you're far better than the average person.. you should be proud..!" He says meekly, trying to calm the lady down
"YOURE A FRAUD!" The woman screams
"give me back my money! I want a refund."
The other customers start to walk away, the crowd disappearing all-together
I cant help but sigh
"Ma'am...Please calm down" I start
"MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS BRAT" She whips around
"Excuse me? Nobody is gonna wait around for you to get a ten dollar refund." I scrunch my nose
"YOU.." Her eyes start glowing
A ball of condensed energy in her hand, pulsing in and out.
"Listen lady.. we aren't here for a fight." Blyke steps up
She winces realizing its not just me
"Then you should've minded your own business!!" She screams once again, Her beam becoming more wild as she steps closer
"Listen you--!" Blyke starts getting a bit more heated than needed
My eye catches onto a black shirt with "security" in bold white on the back coming down the escalators
My lips quirk
I take in a deep breath and-
"HELP!! SECURITY!! THERES A CRAZY LADY THREATENING TO BLOW UP THE MALL!!!" I scream at the top of my lungs
Blyke looks back at me as if his heart just jumped out of his chest, while Sera struggles to hold back a laugh
It catches his attention, obviously
If it didn't he must be deaf
"What's going on here?" He asks with a firm tone
The lady hesitates, a bit of panic in her eyes
Heh. serves her right
"He! He..!"
"he scammed me!" She flails, pointing to the vendor
his eyes glint, staring at the vendor with a warning gaze
"You again?"
"Give the woman back her money." The green haired officer commands
The vendor shakes horribly and reaches under his table, pulling out two ten dollar bills and handing it to him who in turn hands it to the lady
She walks off happily after giving us a smug and conniving smile
Disgusting.
So disgusting..
"Watch yourselves" The officer glares at us and walks away
Its silent for a bit, before the vendor speaks up
"S-sorry about that, did you want your ability checked?"
"Yes please.." Remi gives a wary smile, reaching into her purse to pay
"Its fine! Ill give you a free go.. did your friends want to try as well?" He gives a kind smile
She looks back and the group nods
He puts out his hand, gesturing for Remi to hold it
He closes his eyes and stays quiet
So he gauges through touch..
"that's amazing, you're a 5.4"
Remi rubs the back of her neck bashfully and thanks him
"As expected of the queen!" Isen cheers her on from the back as Blyke nods shifting towards the stall
"Ill go next!" Isen says, shoving Blyke out of the way

"Damn it! you're still a tier above me!" Isen grumbles
"What'd you expect?? we got it checked pretty recently before this" Blyke scoffs
The two bicker back and forth as elaine finished up her check
"Will you be going as well miss?" He looks to Sera, Getting ready to hand out the gift bears
"Eh.." Sera looks to the side
"Give it a try! it wont hurt to check will it?" I smile pushing her towards the stall
She sighs and reaches out her hand
He closes his eyes again
"You're a 8.0!"
"That's very impressive"
He says it oddly loud, and some people passing take notice
Self promotion maybe?
"Haha. .no one can beat Seraphina at this huh.." Elaine sighs
"She's really amazing" Remi smiles beside her
The group continues chatting
I look at the teddy bears prepared in bags. are those the only prizes? odd considering this is a stall
Well I guess its not very fancy so-
I feel fingers wrap around my wrist
My eyes shoot open, I flinch hard
"will you be going as well young man?"
he says as his eyes glow
I thrash and pull my arm away, heart beating out of my chest
The group looks over, concerned
"YOU-"

My heart my drops into my stomach.
