AN ALL-OUT BOUT
THE UNIVERSE'S STRONGEST APPEARS
Gas' new power shook Planet Cereal to its core. I attempt to power up again, but Gas uses telekinesis and grabs me by the throat
Y/N: URK! *choking* H-HE'S GOT ME!
Gas: Behold. As your head twists clean off!
I manage to put my fingers on my forehead and use Instant Transmission to teleport behind him.
Y/N: HRAAH-
Gas backhands me similar to how Bardock once backhanded Zamasu. The impact of the punch broke my nose
Y/N: Argh...
Blood dripped from my nose and I quickly reset my nose.
Gas: I don't think I've ever felt better.
I froze with fear as Gas appeared behind me suddenly
Gas: It's as if every cell in my body is burning away, fueling me. A new flavor of ecstasy
Gas grabs me by my head and throws me backward. I go crashing into dozens of trees before Gas summons a whirlwind-like attack, trapping me inside it
Y/N: WHOAA!! SHIT!!
Gas: YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THIS POWER OF MINE!
Gas launches repeated blasts into the whirlwind, several blasts leaving marks on my new armor
Gas: I NEVER GOT THE PLEASURE OF KILLING BARDOCK, I GUESS I'LL SETTLE FOR HIS GRANDSON!
Gas stops the whirlwind and I crash into the ground
Elec: See? He gets the job done once he starts trying
Macki: Okay, sure. He's winning. Hooray. Except, something seems off.
Gas picks me up by my neck
Gas: HRAH!
Gas uses his ki to create a giant spectral arm, punching me high in the air
Oil: What's with the wrinkly looks? He looks totally ancient
Elec: Not to worry. His power is very much intact. In fact, he is stronger than ever before!
Y/N: Y-your body and power are WAAAY out of sync!
Gas: My power has been liberated from my flesh!
Gas punts me high in the air with a giant spectral boot. I regain my footing and charge down at Gas. Gas and I nearly collide, but a red blast separates the two of us. We both turn to see Granolah
Y/N: GRANOLAH!
Elec: Whatever. Cocky of him to show up again, after refusing to die.
Granolah flies up, tackling me out of the sky
Elec: HA! Still holding a grudge against the Saiyans, huh? Smart choice, Granolah! Kill him for us and maybe we'll toss you odd jobs again.
Granolah slams me into the ground
Granolah: As I dreamt, I too heard your grandfather's voice. Now, you need to let me do what I must.
Y/N: What're you saying?!
Granolah: Are you willing to wager it all on my strength?
I nod my head, and both of us stand up. Granolah puts his hands together, charging up a massive blast
Y/N: I'll keep Gas busy until you charge up enough energy to bring the bastard down!
Granolah: Thank you.
Gas: NOT ON YOUR LIFE!
I power up and charge at Gas, blocking a spectral punch before booting him high in the air. I attempt to follow up my attack, but Gas smacks me back down to the ground. Gas summons two more spectral boots and stomps me into the ground.
Gas: Hmph... Aaah...
Gas held his stomach in pain as his body began to deteriorate. Gas looks over to Granolah who continued to charge his attack
Gas: N-no. How is he doing this? How does he still possess so much strength?!
Gas attempts to attack Granolah, but I summon a barrier and put it around Granolah
Y/N: G-guess what? Nobody's given up on beating you down!
Enraged, Gas summons hundreds of blasts and sends them all at me
Y/N: GAAAAH!
Gas turns to face Granolah again
Granolah: No... I'm not ready yet!
Gas: *laughs* What a shame- GAH!!
Caulifla flies in with a headbutt, knocking Gas down
Caulifla: ANY DAY NOW, OLD MAN! CHARGE UP FAST OR WE ALL DIE HERE!
Granolah: CAULIFLA!
Macki: LET'S HELP HIM OUT, OIL!
Oil and Macki attempt to intercept Granolah, but Monaito steps in the way
Monaito: You're not getting past me! HAH!
Monaito uses a hypnosis technique, putting Macki and Oil to sleep.
Monaito: Hypnosis is my one and only combat technique. ALMOST READY, GRANOLAH!
Granolah: Damn right I am. I've charged up more energy than his brittle bones will be able to handle!
Gas throws the weakened Caulifla to the side and began to charge at Granolah
Elec: HAH! FIRING THAT BLAST SO CLOSE TO THE GROUND WOULD DESTROY PLANET CEREAL, THE HOME YOU'RE HOPING TO PROTECT!
I found a sudden burst of energy, summoning my Divine Ki Giant Battle Avatar for the first time and grabbing Gas with it
Granolah: WHOA!
Caulifla: HOLY SHIT!
Gas: UNHAND ME AT ONCE!
I throw Gas out of the atmosphere
Y/N: NOW, GRANOLAH!
Granolah's legs began to shake
Granolah: D-damn it! My eye is still damaged! I can't see anything!
Oatmeel: Allow me to assist with aiming!
Granolah: OATMEEL!
Oatmeel: A BIT HIGHER!
Caulifla: GRANOLAH!
Monaito: THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!
Y/N: SHOOT!
Oatmeel: LOCKED ON, FIRE!
Granolah unleashes the gigantic blast, which hit Gas dead on. The massive blast exploded, pushing everyone back, Caulifla and I went flying back, but Granolah caught both of us
Macki: W-what just happened?! Where is Gas?!
Caulifla: D-did you get him?!
Oatmeel detected Gas, who was falling back down to the planet
Granolah: I didn't kill him. I'm not out for revenge, not anymore.
Granolah turned to Macki and Oil
Granolah: Gas'll be unconscious for a few days. So take him and never darken our doorsteps again!
Oil and Macki scoffed and flew off
Y/N: T-that was crazy, Granolah!
Granolah: I'm sorry... about everything.
Caulifla: It's a little late for that...
Gas laid in a crater, unconscious
Y/N: Our training wasn't enough in the end
Caulifla: Beerus is gonna be pissed at me. I'll hone my technique, and I'll prove myself stronger than you
Y/N: *laughs* Not gonna happen
Caulifla chuckles as well. Suddenly, Granolah collapsed, nearly puking
Y/N: GRANOLAH! WHAT'S WRONG?!
Granolah: I-I'm... I'm fine.
Caulifla: That final attack really took that much out of you, huh?
Granolah: Yeah... It's a move fueled by my very life. I'm betting it shortened my life span even more.
Y/N: Huh?
Granolah: I only have three years left to live. That was the price I paid to become the strongest in the universe.
Y/N: Why'd you go and do something like that?!
Granolah: The same applies to Gas most likely. Though I don't know how much longer he has left.
Monaito: Granolah, let me look at your wounds
Monaito approached Granolah, then gasped
Caulifla: What's wrong? Used up all your energy and can't heal him?
Monaito: That isn't it. Actually, I'm feeling like I could bring you back to full strength.
Monaito used his healing powers, and it healed Granolah entirely
Granolah: H-huh?! How?!
Monaito healed Caulifla as well, followed by healing me
Y/N: Holy hell, my energy is restored!
Monaito: Who would've thought my powers would ripen at this age?! Maybe from all the healing I've done lately
Elec scowled
Elec: TCH! HOW WAS I SO OFF THE MARK?! THE UNIVERSE'S STRONGEST?! WHAT A TOTAL SCAM! THE JOKE'S ON ME FOR TRUSTING THOSE DRAGON BALLS!
Elec flew off to his ship
Y/N: HEY! ELEC! LEAVING YOUR FAMILY BEHIND!?
Elec looked back at me with a smirk. Suddenly, a massive blast ripped right through Monaito's back
We all quickly turned to see the mangled husk of Gas, who stood at the end of the blast
Caulifla: WHAT THE SHIT?!
Gas: No more interest in revenge? Isn't that what you said, Granolah? How about now? Still sticking to that soft-hearted claim
Granolah: MONAITO!
Caulifla: YOU UGLY BASTARD!
Caulifla powers up to Ultra Ego and the two of us charge at Gas. Gas grabs both of us by the sides of our heads and smacks us together. We both break free and land a few good punches and kicks, but Gas threw us back to the ground again. Gas let out a horrifying deep breath
Y/N: W-what the hell is this guy?! He doesn't even care about taking damage anymore!
Caulifla: Sheer madness. It's like fighting something already dead!
Granolah shook Monaito, trying to keep him awake
Granolah: MONAITO! NO! YOU CAN'T DIE!
Monaito: *weakly* I-it's fine... Granolah... My life should've ended 40 years ago... My only duty since then... was raising you right... but you don't need me anymore. Thank you, Granolah. Spending the last of my long years with you... was more than I ever could've asked for...
Tears streamed down Granolah's face
Monaito: D-do right.. by the sacrifices... of your mother... and Bardock...
Granolah: N-NO! DON'T GIVE UP! I CAN'T LET YOU DIE! I WON'T LET YOU DIE!!!
I lunge at Gas, kicking him in the arm, and chipping away more and more of his skin, but he continued to strike at us
Y/N: H-how the hell is his arm still moving?!
Caulifla: I-it's like a curse... a curse to be the strongest...
Elec: YES! GOOD! GET THEM! YOU'LL BE THE STRONGEST OF ALL RIGHT UNTIL THE SECOND YOU DIE! KILL THEM! KILL! KILL!
Macki: QUIT IT, ELEC! LOOK AT HIM! THIS ISN'T NORMAL!
Elec: SILENCE!
Elec smacked Macki away
Elec: I TOLD YOU, THERE WON'T BE A SECOND TIME! GAS' LIFE SPAN IS ABOUT TO RUN OUT! MAKING HIM FAR AND AWAY THE STRONGEST MEAN'T SACRIFICING THAT MUCH OF HIS LIFE!
Gas stopped attacking us, looking at Elec in betrayal
Gas: I-I'm... dying?
Macki: ELEC! WHAT THE HELL!
Gas looked at his reflection in the water, seeing his deformed face
Gas: W-why..? M-my face...
Elec: STOP SCREWING AROUND, GAS! KILL THEM NOW! AT LEAST MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL TO ME IN YOUR FINAL MOMENTS, YOU WORTHLESS SCUM! WASTE ANY MORE TIME AND BEFORE WE KNOW IT, HE'LL-
Suddenly, a familiar sound appeared from behind Gas. Someone had just landed down on Planet Cereal
Me, Caulifla, Granolah, Elec, Macki, Oil, and Gas all looked on in shock as Frieza stood up from behind Gas
Frieza: It's been some time, Gas.
Y/N: FRIEZA!? WHY IS HE HERE?!
Gas: I-I'm... I'M GONNA KILL YOU!
Gas charges at Frieza, but Frieza appeared to power up, I could barely see it, but it looked like his skin darkened. Frieza ripped right through Gas' stomach with a powerful punch. Frieza smirked as Gas' body turned into nothing but a skeleton
The skeleton falls to the ground. Frieza placed his foot on Gas' skull and crushed it with ease
Caulifla: *quietly* W-what the fuck..?
Frieza dusted off his hands before turning back to Elec, a sinister smirk across his face
Frieza: Elec. You're the one who called me, so. Once again, I ask. What is your business with me?
Y/N: H-he killed Gas with just one blow.
Caulifla: N-no way!
Elec waved his hands nervously
Elec: W-we got our wires crossed, that's all! No business deal today, I'm afraid-
Frieza: Let me guess, you meant for Gas to kill me. Bad news for you. It looks like Gas is just dust in the wind
Frieza dashed forward at a frightening speed.
Frieza: I've known all about your ambitions these 40 years I knew, and I let you scurry around... All while exploiting you for my army's benefit
Elec: Y-you knew?!
Frieza: Why, there isn't a thing in this universe I'm not privy to. For example. The fact that the weakest of the Heeters is YOU!
Frieza placed his hand on the back of Elec's head and blasted Elec, point blank, leaving nothing left
Oil/Macki: GAAAAAH!!
Frieza turns to face us
Frieza: Why, if it isn't the son of my sworn enemy and Universe 6's annoying little punk
Y/N: FRIEZA! HOW'D YOU MANAGE TO KILL GAS?!
Caulifla: GAS WISHED TO BECOME THE STRONGEST IN THE UNIVERSE. HE SHOULD'VE BEEN STRONGER THAN YOU!
Frieza: In THIS universe, you mean? Of course. I've been spending time in another dimension, you see. On one of my many conquered worlds, I happened to come across a chamber where time flows differently than the outside world.
Y/N: A HYPERBOLIC TIME CHAMBER?!
Frieza: There, I was able to squeeze in 10 years of training.
Y/N: IT CAN'T BE!
Frieza: I couldn't very well keep losing to Saiyans my whole life. The two of you, Kale, Broly, Goku, Vegeta, all of you have humiliated me, so I needed a bit of a power-up.
Frieza stood firm as he erupted with new power
Frieza: Filthy monkeys, meet Black Frieza. Achieving this form took plenty of toils, I'll have you know.
Caulifla: H-holy shit...
Frieza charges at us. Caulifla and I power up to our respective Ultra forms, but Frieza knocked both of us down with one powerful strike. Both our sets of armor nearly shattered against Black Frieza's new power. Caulifla and I collapse on the ground, neither of us able to move
Frieza: While you two were having fun on this puny planet, I managed to surpass you. But I came in pursuit of a different target, so you get off easy.
Frieza approaches Oil and Macki
Frieza: You two. You wouldn't happen to have any plans after this? As it happens, my ship could use a cook and a waiter
Macki: W-WE'LL TAKE THE JOBS, PLEASE, AND THANKS!
Frieza smiles and the three fly off. Caulifla and I struggle to our feet and look at Granolah, who was focused on Monaito
Y/N: I-is Monaito... is he-
Granolah: It's bad! He's not breathing!
Suddenly, Monaito's eyes shot open
Granolah: Huh?!
We all turn to see Whis standing over Monaito and Granolah
Y/N: WHIS?!
Whis: It seemed this one was a friend of yours, Y/N, so just this once, as a special favor.
Y/N: Thanks, Whis!
Whis: I see it's finally over
Monaito: Who is this?
Caulifla: Whis. He's an angel
Monaito: An angel?!
Whis: Y/N, might I ask you two to return with me straight away? Lord Beerus can't figure out how to make Instant Yakisoba
Y/N: J-just pour boiling water into it. Done...
I turn to face Granolah
Y/N: Do you want to come back with us, Granolah?
Granolah: I'll have to decline. I've made a mess of this planet. I need to fix these damages with the Dragon Balls.
Caulifla: In that case, you'll need this.
Caulifla reached into a pocket and pulled out the Dragon Radar
Granolah: What is it?
Caulifla: It's a radar, Macki dropped it earlier, it can track the energy of the Dragon Balls.
Granolah: That'll help, thank you.
Y/N: I guess we must be going.
Monaito: Hang on, Grandson of Bardock. You can't forget this.
Monaito hands me Bardock's old scouter. I smile and decide to put it on. Granolah's eyes widen a bit
Granolah: Sheesh, with that armor and scouter, I can sorta remember what Bardock looks like.
Monaito: Indeed, you do resemble him indeed.
I smile and nod
Granolah: Thank you for everything, Son Y/N, and Son Caulifla
Y/N: Do stop by Earth if you get a chance. There are more Saiyans than just the two of us.
Granolah's eyes widened and nodded
Caulifla: Yeah, stop by, I'd love to have a rematch. I welcome the challenge
Granolah: Sure. But I'll win next time, kid.
Caulifla: Not a chance, old man.
We all share a laugh
Whis: Off we go, then! Farewell, new friends!
Caulifla and I grab onto Whis' shoulder and we fly off
Y/N: You know how the Oracle Fish was talking about the Strongest in the Universe? Was he talking about Granolah, Gas, or Frieza?
Whis: I am uncertain. Or maybe.. the strongest warrior emerged elsewhere in the universe.
Y/N: Really? Guess we better get back to training, huh, Caulifla?
Caulifla: Y-yeah.
Caulifla thought back to Oatmeel. What was he referring to when he said something else was wrong?
