(Time jump- they have been filming for about a month now)
Today was another day of filming. We are supposed to film the phone call scenes. Mason and I both were a bit nervous because the scenes were supposed to be super emotional. This morning JJ left and Mason called me and like always waited outside my door. Once we got to set we dropped all of our stuff in our trailers and changed into our costumes then went to hair and makeup where I am now.
The only people needed on set today were, Miguel, Tristan, Jacob, Brady, Banks, Mason, me and Ethan. So I was the only girl in the cast that was here today. yay. (note the sarcasm). Mason, Miguel, Tristan, and I were all sitting in our trailer getting our makeup and hair done. Miguel and Tristan's makeup included fake blood and fake dirt, while Mason and I's makeup included fake sweat and fake dirt as well. Everything about this was disgusting the fake sweat felt like a ton of hair gel was just chillin in my hair. We all got done with hair and makeup around the same time, we all head to set
"Alright let's get started Mason, Cassie, and Miguel you're up first. Places everyone!" Scott yelled, Mason, and I ran onto the basement set and Miguel took his place against a false wall "And ACTION!" Scott yelled
-----In Scene-----
'ring ring ring'
Finney slowly got up from the bed and walked over to the phone
"What?" He asks in a quiet voice. I walk over and stand behind him
"Hey Finn, what's happenin?" I hear a voice come through the phone
"Robin?" Finney asks into the phone, my eyes start tearing up along with finney's
"Hey buddy, don't cry"
"I'm not" Finney says and wipes his tears away, I continue to let mine fall
"Yes you are, I can see you. Both of you."
"You can?" Finn asks
"I'm with you, I've been with you this whole time"
"You have?"
"A man never leaves a friend behind, my dad didn't leave his buddies behind when he went to Nam. That's why he didn't come home. And I'm not coming home either, and I'm not going to leave you behind." I could feel more tears stream down my face
"We'll be together again soon." As Finney said that I slid down the wall, that's it Finn has given up hope so why should I keep mine.
"Fuck that. You ain't gonna go like I did." Robin said louder into the phone
"We've tried everything. Nothing's worked."
"Yet"
"Robin-"
"You remember what I told you?"
"That I need to see Texas Chainsaw Massacre?"
"Before that"
"That some day I have to stand up for myself"
"Someday is today Finn. Today is the day you stop taking shit from anybody"
"I'm not a fighter like you Robin. You couldn't even take him"
"You've always been a fighter Finn, that's what we have in common. While we were friends you were always afraid to throw a punch but you always knew how to take one. And you always got back up. Every time." Robin tried to talk Finn up. I knew Finney doubted himself more than anyone else did
"I'm not strong enough"
"You're gonna have to be. You're getting out of here. If you can't do it for you, do it for me. Do it for Layla."
"What does it matter?"
"Cause I don't wanna die for nothin. I want to at least have died for a friend, and because I can't kill that hijo de puta, you have to do it for me."
"How?" When Finney asked this I knew I didn't give up hope for a reason. I always knew Finney could take whatever punch was thrown at him, but he always doubted himself to much to ever throw one back. But today because of Robin he might actually fight back
"You're gonna use a weapon"
"What weapon?" Finn asks
"The one in your hand"
"The phone?"
"Fill the receiver with dirt, pack it in tight, give it some heft"
"Then what?"
"Then practice over and over. You raise the phone, take a fast step back, step forward, step back, and swing. Try it"
"Now?"
"Yes. You raise the phone, take a fast step back, step forward, step back, and swing. Again! You take a fast step back, step forward, step back, and swing! Again! You raise the phone, you take a fast step back, step forward, step back, and swing! Again! Take a fast step back, step forward, step back, and swing! You got it. Now fill the phone with dirt like I told you."
"Will we still be able to talk with you?" I ask from against the wall, I ask looking up at Finn with tears in my eyes
"This is the last call Layla. It's all you two from here on out"
"I'll miss you Robin" Finn says walking back to the phone box
"Then get out for me. Use what we gave you"
"We will"
"Bye Finn, Bye Layla"
"Bye Robin" Finn says into the phone, he bends down and hands me the phone
"Bye Robin, I'll miss you" I barely say trying not to cry. Finney takes the phone and hangs it up. I break down crying and Finney comes over and tries to calm me down
"Calm down Lay, we're gonna get out and Robin will be with us until we both leave this world"
-----Out of Scene-----
"CUT! That was amazing! we are gonna take a 10 minute break then come back and shoot another phone call" Scott tells us and walks off
"That was amazing Cass" Mason tells me not releasing me from his arms. I was still trying to calm down in real life, my face was red I could tell
"Cassie, Mason, that was amazing!" Miguel yells walking over to us, "Cassie you okay?" Miguel asks stopping in front of us. I nod my head
"Just promise me you won't die before I do." I say looking up at him he chuckles then slides down the wall next to me
"I promise" He says softly he grabs my hand and just holds it. I bury my head in Mason's chest and we just sit there until we have to move so we can film another scene
-----Time Jump-----
"That was amazing guys and girl! I am giving you tomorrow off because of all that we filmed today. Thank you so much for being amazing. You are released to your guardians whenever they get here" Scott said then went to talk to someone who needed his attention. I was tucked under Mason's arm, in most of the scenes today I had to cry in some way or another. Mason had to calm me down after every scene. It's safe to say I am absolutely drained.
"You ready to go? James texted me a few saying he's here." Mason said looking down at me. I nodded my head, he started to lead me out the door when someone called from behind us
"Bye Cass! Bye Mason!" We both turn around and Tristan was standing there waving, we both wave back then head to JJ's car.
-----Skip car ride-----
All 3 of us get back into our hotel rooms, Mason only asked about 500 times if I was okay. Every time I answered yes but he still insisted on asking.
Before I go to bed I check my phone and I have a few Insta notifications and few from my texts but I only check one

I love this chapter!! So I got the scene right I had to watch that part of the movie and I cried. ANYWAY I hope you enjoyed this chapter, plz leave any comments you have I love getting to hear them. Also I realized while writing this chapter that I don't really know how to finish a book so that will be fun when it comes to that
