it's lightly snowing in beach city, every building is decorated with christmas lights, defect is at the donut shop with steven and greg as they stare at the christmas special for the costumers
defect look at steven with a big smile "steven lets buy all of them, pleeeease!" steven and greg rummage their pockets for money but they only have very few "sorry rue, we only have few dollars, but you can pick what you guys like" said greg with an apologetic smile, defect give them a smirk as she pull out some moneys that could buy all the donuts,
she give a big smile at them while steven give a hesitate smile "did you just steal?.." defect pout at steven "of course not! amethyst gave me this things called...acrylic? they're basically paints so pearl brought me some canvas, i start selling them for the human civilians and they game me this" steven gave her a prpud high five, they walk out of the beach city with 3 boxes while steven start thinking "should we brought some pizza's?"
"we are gonna have this thing called 'christmas party' as you guys called it so why not" she shrug, they walk to fish stew pizza and saw kiki happily decorating a tree shape pizza "hey steven check it out!"
"wow! that's so cool! can we have that please?" kiki gives him a thumbs up "sure thing, i was just testing something new" defect put the money on the counter while kiki rub the back of her head "i was gonna give it for free..?"
"nonsense!" said defect, after a few second kiki gave them the box, they went home and saw what the crystal gems did to the place
"merry christmas steven!" said pearl while she put the jello on the counter, lapis and amethyst are chatting on the livingroom, garnet is fixing the christmas tree and pitting all the gifts underneath "steven!" peridot ran up to steven while wearing an oversize dark green knitted sweater "so what is this 'christmas' about?"
"Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world" peridot stare at steven for a few minute while greg put the food on the counter "who's...jesus christ? is he in some kind of band? i did heard a band called 'christ' somewhere.." peridot start pondering while steven laugh softly "no no, jesus christ is the son of god, humans pray for him and praise his sacrifice" peridot squint her eyes while walking to the couch "god? i don't know what that is but it sounds...superior, also didn't we save the earth from the cluster? i wanna be praise as well!" steven sigh and defect ran up to garnet "mom!" garnet hug her tightly with a big smile
peridot wanted to put the star on the tree so amethyst help her up, lapis is drinking eggnog with greg on the counter, pearl turn the karaoke on, lapis gave the microphone to defect who smile nervous, she then start singing 'christmas tree'(by charlene yi, aka ruby's voice actor)
after the song she quickly hug garnet while covering her face, feeling embarrassed while some clap for her
defect's open her gift and it's a phone, she look at it confuse "you know you can put your paintings online or sell them there" steven said while he unwrap his, he got a cookie cat plush made by pearl, defect look at the crustal gems, peridot, lapis and greg, she's greatful for them, she just wish it could always be like this.
