Kamari and Ky'lani had just returned from dropping the twins back home and they were now sitting comfortably in each other's company In her room
"Thank so much for having me but I think I should head home now I don't want my mama to realise I've been gone."Dior spoke to Imani
"Are you sure you're welcome to stay."Imani replied
"No thank you so much honestly I'm really happy I met you guys but I think I should go now."Dior said.
"Okay baby I packed you some to go plates lemme go grab them so I can drop you off. And make sure you keep in touch Lani gave you my number right if you need anything I'm a call or text away."Imani spoke
"Thank you so much."Dior replied
Imani hated people who didn't look after their kids. She grew up rough with parents who were jealous of her they pretty much hated her and kicked her to the streets the first chance they got. She vowed that when she had kids she would be the complete opposite and nurture her children with love and kindness. Imani saw a lot of herself in Dior and it unlocked memories she had since forgotten.
"What's your new year's resolution? "Ky'lani asked
"I wanna find what I love this year. I know we're young but it seems like everyone figured out what they want to do uno. Like basketball is fun and I enjoy it but it's not what I want to do."Kamari replied
"I get what you mean. It's like when you're good at something people just expect you to choose that as what you want to do even if you have no true connection with it."Ky'lani added
"What about you?"Kamari asked
"I want to invest in myself more this year. I feel like I have so much potential that I overlook and everyone can see it but me."Ky'lani replied
"You definitely don't give yourself enough credit."Kamari replied
The two fell into a comfortable silence only accompanied by the sounds of their breathing
"You know one of my favourite things about us."Kamari spoke
"What's that."Ky'lani replied
"We can talk about any and everything."Kamari replied
"I remember when we was younger all we did was play and make a mess."Ky'lani laughed
"I never had to question that it was gone be me and you."Kamari said.
"Do you ever feel like you're wasting your time uno like we're so young."Ky'lani spoke
Ky'lani never mentioned it but peoples opinions did get to her at times. Everyone always had their two cents on how childhood sweethearts always end sour and though she didn't believe that to be the case the thought often crossed her mind and made her sick to her stomach.
"No why'd you say that."Kamari asked sitting up
"I don't know I just feel like peoples negativity is getting to me I feel like I be holding you back sometimes."Ky'lani spoke honestly
"Ky you gotta stop letting people get in your head whether you need me to tell you 1 million times I wouldn't trade you for the world you notice how it's only the bitter people whose situations didn't work out that have nasty things to say you don't never catch happy people hating. I genuinely hope in every time line out their it's me and you and I would do it over a million times if that meant It would be me and you."Kamari spoke
By now Ky'lani was crying and she didn't even know why. She was an emotional character and definitely a big softie and Kamari just brought that side out of her way more. Ky'lani love how she could be soft around Kamari she never felt the need to have her gangster up she felt safe with Kamari
"Ky man stop crying."Kamari laughed embracing her
"You be making me cry you so nice to me."Ky'lani giggled wiping her tears
"I wonder what we did in our past lives to deserve each other."Ky'lani added
"I don't know but I'm happy we found each other young. Lord knows I would of been sick if my soulmate was patrolling the streets like I wasn't waiting for them."Kamari laughed
"Boy you so silly."Ky'lani laughed.
"You know I applied us both to work in the mall."Ky'lani spoke
"What store."Kamari asked
"Ion know I just put the food court so which ever place low on staff is going to get our application."Ky'lani asked
"We bout to cause hell in them people place."Keyshawn laughed
"Ya damn right cause we have no business working."Ky'lani laughed
"Ooo let's do some online shopping I wanna get some stuff for our ski trip."Ky'lani spoke
The two sat behind Ky'lani's Macbook adding everything from A to Z into their cart.
"I can't believe we graduate this year."Milan said
"I'm ready asf to be done with high school."Tokyo replied
"Have any of you heard back from any colleges."Semaj asked
"Ion know if college is for me."Sire spoke
"You think Simone gone let you not go?"Keyshawn asked
"Well her baby daddy owns a luxury car dealership and he said he thinks I'd be good in sales so he'll give me an apprenticeship. I still get a sales and marketing degree out of it."Sire replied
"Yall already know I'm going to Fashion school."Tokyo replied
"I think it's a lil early to be hearing back but I'm praying I got in."Milan spoke
"I don't know what I wanna do fr at this point I'm thinking of taking a gap year so I can figure some shit out."Kamari spoke.
"We'll uno coach got us set with our scholarships."Semaj replied
"I don't think basketball is fa me I'm not as passionate about it as I should be ."Kamari spoke
"I don't know guys I've just been kinda going with the flow."Ky'lani spoke
"Everything will fall into place for real."Kamari added

"I'm meeting Dior at the mall. I can't believe we actually start working tomorrow."Ky'lani replied while doing her edges
Dior had texted Ky'lani to hang out today and she was super down with it. Ky'lani had just gotten her hair done and she was fixing her edges. She opted for some fluffy dramatic edges her usual go too when she had braids.
"You think I should wear this one or this one."Ky'lani asked.
"The black one fye where did you get that from I might have to cop."Kamari replied looking away from his game
It was mid January and the weather was starting to become bearable outside. Ky'lani knew she'd be driving so she didn't have to worry about layering too much
Ky'lani paired her carsicko sweatsuit with her all black yeezy 700's. She opted for her small telfar crossbody with minimal jewellery. She sprayed her Marc Jacobs daisy love eau so sweet before applying her Fenty gloss bomb and topping it with her Kiko hydra lip gloss

Ky'lani had decided to go bare faced today accept for some lipgloss. her freckles which came and went with the whether we're starting to reappear which made her so happy

"Get our wingstop order so we can eat it together I'll cashapp you ."Kamari replied

"Can we go Nike first There's some shoes Kj been wanting so I wanna get them for him."Ky'lani spoke

The girls made their way to The Nike store. Ky'lani spent a few minutes looking around before a store employee approached them
"Hey girl I'm loving the hair is there anything I can help you with."The store employee spoke
"Thank you so much I'm looking for these for my boyfriend."Ky'lani spoke showing the girl her phone
"What size does he wear."The girl asked
"He wear a size 12."Ky'lani spoke
"Okays let me see If we have those in stock for you give me a moment I'll be back."The girl spoke
Ky'lani noticed Dior looking at some shoes.
"You want em?"Ky'lani asked
"Hell nah girl I couldn't afford them I'm tryna save up so I can move out."Dior spoke
"I said do you want em I didn't ask of you could afford it girl."Ky'lani replied
"There's no point I can't even bring nice things home without my mama selling em for her next fix."Dior laughed
"Girl I'm getting you them they fly asf if you need to keep 'em at my house so be it."Ky'lani replied
"Hey so You're actually super lucky these was the last ones we had in stock."The store employee spoke
"Thank you so much."Ky'lani spoke inspecting the Racer blue Jordan 5's
"Will that be all I can ring you up If so."The girl spoke
"No could I get those inna- What size you wear Dior?"Ky'lani asked
"Size 4."She replied.
"Yeah sure give me a moment."The store employee replied walking to the back to go find em
"So you 15 right?"Ky'lani asked
"Pretty much I turn 15 On valentines."Dior spoke
"Wait so how you got a job and you 14?"Ky'lani questioned
"Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess. The pay ain't the best but It keeps me going."Dior replied
"Mane that shit is bogus you ain't got no family fr ?"Ky'lani asked
"I'll tell you when we leave out from here."Dior spoke
The store clerk returned with the shoes and Ky'lani and Dior left the store
"You wanna go get your nails done. My nail shop across the street from the mall."Ky'lani spoke
The two headed out of the mall quickly dropping off their shopping in Ky'lani's car before making their way to the nail shop. Ky'lani had been giving her nails a lil breathing break so she was more than ready for a fresh set. This was the perfect time because they would be grown out and ready for a fill just in time for her Ski trip.
Ky'lani decided to go with a simple french tip she was a french tip warrior and a heavy believer in if it ain't broken don't try to fix it. Dior opted for a simple plain set with an accent nail on either hand
"Thank you so much fr I don't know what I done to deserve you but I'm so happy you walked into my life."Dior spoke
"I'm really happy too you're like the little sister I always wanted."Ky'lani spoke
"You wanna get some wingstop? I was gonna get some for me and Kj anyways."
The girls got in Ky'lani's car driving to the closest wingstop. Ky'lani decided against going thru the drive because they always played with the amount of ranch they give you when you don't come up in the store.After ordering their meals They made their way back to the car.
"You want me to take you home?"Ky'lani asked
"Yes please I gotta go get changed I got work later."Dior spoke
"I almost forgot."Dior started
"My life wasn't always shit I think that's partly why I take it so well I sometimes feel like it was my humbling because I really had everything. My daddy was In the streets heavy and my mum would always beg him to go legit for his family but he never did he would always promise that he would but he didn't live long enough to hold out on it. My mama family cut all ties with her because she wouldn't leave my daddy so I don't even know if they know where we are right now. My daddy was killed by three police officers when we was at the park. In my eyes my daddy could do no wrong he was my protector and I was his spoiled little princess. After my dad died my mother couldn't cope so she turned to drugs and it ultimately cost us everything. We was evicted and my mother fell victim to being pimped out. We eventually got us a little apartment the one we stay at right now. But I honestly believe my mother died right along with my father she stopped caring about her appearance her health, me. We was running out of money and my mama was spending everything she made on her next fix so I turned to prostitution because I didn't know what else to do I was so desperate and I hated every moment of it. I felt disgusting and I only ever did it three times I couldn't bare it so I stopped. Some girl at school was able to help me find a cash in hand job and I took the opportunity without hesitation. Ever since I've been working my ass off tryna save so I can get myself out of this situation. But it's real hard my mama be stealing my money whenever she finds it. I genuinely feel like she don't even remember who I am. It's always men in and out of the house and I'm really starting to resent my mama. She act like only she lost something and completely disregards the fact that I lost my best friend, my first love, and my father all in one. My first heartbreak was my mama fr like she really didn't even try for me she let herself go the minute my dad died man and that shit hurts me so bad everyday. Then I had met this boy and I know I had no business messing with him but I just needed something the fill the void and that was working for the moment. I knew damn well I was being grown and fast but it didn't stop me. That day that I ran into you that's the day I actually woke up I realised I was starting to let myself go and I needed to fix up real quick I cut ties with him and have not been back there since you honestly gave me the strength I needed to start putting me first again and I thank you so much for that. I know how strong I am and I know I may not of always been making my father proud but from now on That's my number one motivation. My daddy loves me and I love him too and I know he really did want to leave the streets for us and it's unfortunate he never got to but I hold no grudge towards him. He set the standards for me and showed me nothing but love and it's time that I start valuing myself the way he valued me."Dior spoke letting a breathe out that she didn't even know she was holding in.
Ky'lani was very emotionally intelligent and in this moment she knew Dior didn't need any words she just needed someone to listen. Ky'lani was big on physical touch and she just embraced Dior into a very needed hug
"You are so strong."Ky'lani spoke
"I try."Dior replied
"You know my back when my mama was working as a DA she used to work with a charity which helped people get clean she could try help your mama."Ky'lani suggested
"Thank you but no. I know grudges are bad and all but she doesn't get to ruin my life and then get a chance to redeem herself it's just not fair. I can't wait for the day I get to turn around and never look back. I lost both my parent that day when I was 10years old in that park and there's no coming back from it."Dior spoke
"I understand."Ky'lani replied
By now Ky'lani had reached Dior project building. She said her goodbyes and made sure to let Dior know she was picking her up from work so she could stay the night.
"Kamari-Jai open the door."Ky'lani shouted at the top of her lungs for what felt like the a millionth time
"Bruh why you calling me that."Kamari mugged opening the door
"Yo ass pissing me off I was calling you my phone was dead and you was taking forever."Ky'lani said with a lot of attitude sitting their food on the counter
"You literally have a key to my place bruh."Kamari replied
"We'll I left it in my purse in YOUR car so."Ky'lani added
Kamari and Ky'lani rarely argued but when they did it was usually over silly shit that didn't actually matter.
Without saying another word Kamari lifted Ky'lani over his shoulder and made his way upstairs back to his room. Throwing her on the bed
"Take these off."He said tugging at her waist band
