Kamari woke up to the smell of breakfast and the sound of Ky'lani singing along to to some Jhené Aiko.
"You gone let me give you a tattoo today?"Ky'lani asked as Kamari entered the kitchen
"Yeah yo scary ass should really go pro your work is fye."Kamari spoke
"One day the opportunity just hasn't presented itself."Ky'lani replied
Kamari and Ky'lani enjoyed their breakfast accompanied with some music and minimal conversation
"We should get jobs."Kamari spoke
"Uno what I'm actually down."Ky'lani replied
Neither one of them needed jobs. Their parents were extremely well off and money was never a problem but Ky'lani always wanted to maintain some form of independence. They knew they probably wouldn't keep their jobs for long and we're doing it more for the experience than the money.
"Help me clean up."Ky'lani spoke

"Yall slide thru to Ky's we chilling here today." Kamari replied
"Bet imma let gangnem know."Sire replied before hanging up
The pair cleaned up making sure to return all the blankets and pillows they used for their fort to their original spots. Ky'lani began her set up gathering all the materials she needed. Ky'lani had been tattooing for about a year now but she was too scared to take the jump and go pro.
"Yo plate in the microwave."Ky'lani said to Tremani as he made his way into the living room
"Thank you. What yall getting into today?"Tremani asked
"Ky bout to tatt me."Kamari spoke
"I been told yo scary ass to take that shi seriously i'm tired of paying hunnids for ma shit when my sister damn near pro."Tremani spoke
"Who said you ain't gone have to pay me."Ky'lani laughed making her face up
"Aye I'm letting you practice there should be no charge."Tremani spoke
"Oh so now I need practice."Ky'lani laughed.
Ky'lani opened her sketchbook flipping through her previous ideas
"You gone let me tatt my name on you."Ky'lani joked
"Yeah you could put that shi on my face and I wouldn't complain."Kamari replied
"Oh you being fr."Ky'lani asked
"Hell yeah."Kamari replied
"Yeah we can do each other initials cause ain't no way I'm getting yo long ass name on my face."Ky'lani spoke
"Bet you can put yo full name down my neck. you got a pretty name."Kamari spoke
"Same font as I did the twins."Ky'lani asked
"Yeah but decorate it how you did my mama name."Kamari replied
Ky'lani sketched up her stencil using the font she had used for the tattoos she gave Kamari of his sisters names. She added her own twist but still made sure to incorporate elements of that tattoo she gave him of his mothers name.

Tremani left the door unlocked while Ky'lani continued on Kamari's tattoo
"It's hurting you?"Ky'lani asked.
"Naw you cool."Kamari replied

"I think it's cute."Milan spoke

Ky'lani finished up the small details and wrapped Kamari's tattoo before cleaning up her station. The gang sat around in the living room watching movies for a bit
"What we gone do for new years."Sire asked
"We can do a lil barbecue then go watch the fireworks."Milan suggested
"Bet but whose house."Kamari asked
"We can figure that out later right now house wife Semaj needs to whip sum up in the kitchen I'm too hungry."Sire spoke
Semaj was albino but of Haitian descent. Both his parents lived in Haiti while he stayed with his nana in the states. Semaj's nana was hands down the best cook any of them knew and she made sure Semaj was matching her energy.

"He beefing with the room service because they bought me apple juice instead of orange."Imani laughed

Kingston ranted for a few before he finally calmed down
"And after all that I still got the orange juice and I'm getting a full refund so I don't know what being difficult earned them." Kingston spoke

"Semaj cooking for us, I just finished giving Kj a tattoo so now we just chilling."Ky'lani replied

Semaj brought the food to the table. Everyone helped themselves fixing their plates before they began to eat. They discussed their new years plans and had other random conversation
"Go wash your hands and come eat I fixed you a plate."Ky'lani spoke addressing her brother who had just come in
"Bet you ain't gotta tell me twice."Tremani rushed to the kitchen to wash his hands
"Only Semaj can have all y'all grown mfs sat at the table mad civilised."Tremani laughed
"You talking like you ain't sat too."Ky'lani replied
"Semaj just got that nana energy is like an old lady trapped in him."Sire spoke
"You ever think before talking."Milan laughed
"Barely." Sire replied

Ky'lani sat in the doctors office while Kamari got her some donut holes and a coffee from the dunkin' across the road. Ky'lani didn't like coming here it reminded her of her accident and that put her in a bad place. Fortunately for Ky'lani her visits had been reduced to once a year as she got older.
"Thank you."Ky'lani said as Kamari handed her the food
"You ordered the 10 count right?"Ky'lani asked
"Yeah why?"Kamari replied
"They gave you 15 them hoes better watch out."Ky'lani said
"Not the dunkin' lady thought I was cute."Kamari teased
"You irritating."Ky'lani replied
After partially loosing her hearing, Ky'lani felt like she gained a sixth sense. She just always knew what was going to happen next she anticipated things weeks, days and moments before they happened.
"Miss Love to room 7 please."Was called out from the screen next just like Ky'lani anticipated and was accompanied by someone signing the words at the front.
"Hello Miss Love."Ky'lani's audiologist signed
"Ion like how you do that every time you know I can hear."Ky'lani replied
Ky'lani's audiologist was an older italian man in his late 40s. He was a natural joker but sometimes Ky'lani was just not in the mood
"How have you been doing Miss Love."Dr Martiez asked
"I've been straight."Ky'lani replied
"And have you been having any problems with your aids or hearing?"Dr Martiez asked
"Nothing out of the ordinary."Ky'lani replied
"Okays I'm going to run our usual tests. Have you got all your aids with you."Dr Martiez asked
"Have you been sleeping with them in?"Dr Martiez asked upon inspection
"On most nights. I just don't feel comfortable at night when I can't hear as well."Ky'lani replied truthfully
Partially loosing her hearing capability made Ky'lani a much more paranoid person and though she knew she shouldn't sleep with her aids she did more often than not.
"Imma let you in on a little something. We've been working on some new technology. It works as an aid but is implanted in the ear so there's no problems with it in the shower or while sleeping. A lot of doctors don't tell their patients because there's a lot of paperwork you have to sign off before insurance covers it but I think it would work great for you."Dr Martiez spoke
"Could you set me an appointment to discuss it further because I'd like to do that with my parents."Ky'lani spoke
"Yes sure thing."Dr martinez spoke.
Kamari drove Ky'lani back to her house before going to spend some time with his sisters
"Mama you home."Ky'lani asked as she smelt her mum's signature incense burning
"How was the appointment baby?"Imani spoke
"The usual Dr Martiez suggested some new aids they like implants but I told him to set another appointment so I could go up there with you and dad."Ky'lani spoke
"Okay Lani baby come help me with this mood board I'm looking for some inspo for our new years hosting."Imani spoke
Imani was a creative she lived slept and breathed pintrest. She had long quit her profession after dominating her field to pursue her dreams and she was loving every moment of it

"Lemme see."Imani spoke adjusting her glasses to look at Ky'lani's phone
"I like that but we gone have to go over the guest list to see who's doing what."Imani spoke
The two spent hours working on the new year's party making calls shopping lists the whole shebang
"We doing the fireworks ourselves?" Tremani asked
