Dong Hua's eyes went big. "But...how?"

"She created me out of loneliness when she had been driven out of the realms," Fengjiu stated sadly. She thought to herself, 'I never took the time to understand what my Mother felt. She must have been so sad to be forced away.'

"Yes, I guess that part does make sense," he replied.

"I grew up in the realm she was created it. She never let me leave, but when I was 10,000 years old my mother let me look into the portal that let me see into the other realms," she told him. She looked at him with a blush. "I...my first view was the Nine Heavens. You were Heavenly Emperor."

He looked at her in awe. "You were alive when I was Heavenly Emperor?"

She smiled slightly. "Yes, I was. My Mother then showed me how to use it myself. When she was busy I would check on you and watch how you were. For days I begged Mother to allow me to come to the realms, but she said no."

"That was probably for the best," he informed her. "I don't know the exact time you were watching me, but when I was Heavenly Emperor wars raged in all the realms. It would have been dangerous for you." He thought to himself, 'Many people disliked Goddess Of Fate because she couldn't help everyone. They also didn't understand her powers and that she didn't fully control fate. They ran her out of the realms.'

She nodded, "Yes, but as a child I didn't understand. Over the thousands of years that went by, I watched you."

He thought to himself as she spoke. 'She watched me for thousands of years... Was she afraid at how ruthless I was? Did she see how many beings I killed?'

Fengjiu continued, "When I was 70,000 years old, I had finally had enough of watching you struggle, so I approached my mother as bravely as I could and said "Mother, I know you want to stay here...but I'd like to travel to the other realms and help them...like you used to." Then she told me how unwelcome we would have been, and she said that even thought I didn't have her full powers...that I did have the potential to alter fate."

Dong Hua was starting to understand a little, but he was confused on how this caused her to die. He thought to himself, 'Yes, I knew her birthmark was because she had a past life, but I never thought further about it because many Immortals had past lives. Most Immortals didn't even know the significance, and thought it was a gift from the Heavens.'  He replied out loud, "It is true, at that time you would have been unwelcome. Some Immortals still consider Goddess Of Fate to be a curse. Nonsense."

"I think in a way it is a curse," she stated, and then shook her head. "Anyways, I tried to tell her that Immortals could have changed by now and that everyone was suffering with all the war...I told her we should do something." She sighed, "She said no and a few days later...she said that she had to go to the realms because a creator deity called upon her."

He immediately felt his heart sink. 'No...it couldn't be...'

"When she left I watched through the portal and saw that she was speaking with you." After saying those words, she looked at him.

"You saw..." he asked, feeling breathless.

"Yes, I listened to the whole thing. I started to feel anxious and wondered why I cared so much. Then just when you were scratching your name out. I saw that the name next to yours...it was mine," She explained, she let out a deep and shaky breath.

Dong Hua felt horror take over, and felt his heart breaking. "I...didn't allow myself to look at the name next to mine."

"When I saw...my whole world fell to pieces. I felt as if you threw me away before even giving me a chance to help you," she told him. She looked over at him and saw he was shaking his head. She continued, "As soon as my Mother came back...I begged her to take it back and told her that you were my true mate. She told me that it couldn't be undone, and besides you were getting your peace in return."

He thought to himself, 'I got peace in return, but...I didn't even realize how much I had truly lost until I met her.'

"I had wondered if I had gone down there...If maybe things would have been different," she said.

"I...I don't know," he replied, and then looked at her. He admitted, "I might have still pushed you away."

"Maybe," She nodded, "I started to wonder about my purpose. This whole time I had been in her realm and yearning to be somewhere else. I told her if we weren't made to help the realms...then I couldn't see what I was made for."

He started to get a bad feeling deep in his stomach. He thought to himself, 'Please tell me that...she didn't...'

Fengjiu continued, "She told me our powers could hurt people...and at that time I didn't truly understand what she meant. I do understand now. Look at the pain I caused." She sighed, "Even before I knew who I truly was, I was trying to get you to brave fate with me."

"Brave...fate?" Dong Hua asked, his whole body still felt heavy.

"I had hoped that maybe we could try to be together, and I didn't understand the consequences of the rock. If you had shown me that you were willing...my plan was to break the rock myself," she admitted.

"What?!" he shouted. "Are you insane? You could have been killed!"

"I was only planning for myself to be hurt," she stated and looked away from him. "It doesn't matter anymore. I am not planning on destroying the rock anymore."

He let out a deep breath of relief. Then he thought to himself, 'She was planning all this, even before she knew that she was my mate.'

"When she tried to get through to me about how dangerous our powers were...I was already too stuck in my grief," Fengjiu told him, and stood up from her chair. "Over the next few days I mourned over the children I would never have. In my head I pictured a little boy and girl with white hair, they were twins." She laughed and shook her head. "I thought of the agony of continuing to live the way I always did. I couldn't take it anymore...so I went in my Mother's vault. I found a sharp demon blade from her days in the other realms. I plunged it into my heart."

Dong Hua felt his heart still for a few moments. "No...No!" He thought to himself, 'What have I done?'

"All I saw was darkness for a while, and then suddenly I was being pulled somewhere. I was in a flower a moment later. I noticed that I was in Qing Qiu, and my mother wanted to give the flower to a couple in Qing Qiu having problems, but she told them that they'd never be able to conceive again," she explained. She turned to look at him. "Though I am the daughter of the Goddess Of Fate. I am still Bai Feng Jiu. I won't give this life up, even if that means we won't be together." She saw that he was stuck in his own head. She sighed, "Goodbye Dijun." Then she materialized away.

Dong Hua looked up and saw the white she had dissipated into. He thought to himself, 'I have made so many mistakes, but I have never regretting anything before. Though I don't regret ending the wars...it never should have been Fengjiu's payment to give. I took so much from her.' He stood up and walked around. 'I love her...and for so long I didn't want to allow it. In every life I have loved her. I should have braved fate with her...I should have just let us be happy. I was so wrong.'

Fengjiu materialized at the Three Lives Rock. She called out, "Mother!" Suddenly, a bright light was next to her and she saw her Mother.

The Goddess Of Fate smiled, "I was wondering when you'd call on me, my child."

"You must have watched the battle," Fengjiu stated and looked at her.

"Yes," The Goddess of Fate replied sadly. "I'm...I'm so sorry that things didn't work out the way you wanted them to."

"Fate," Fengjiu laughed to herself. "We don't control fate. You always told me...but I never understood. You were right..these powers are dangerous. It shouldn't be in just anyone's hands." She looked up at her Mother. "Even mine."

"You...want to give up your powers?" The Goddess asked. She thought to herself, 'I wasn't sure if would give up her powers...but it seems that she will.'

"Yes, I don't want them anymore," Fengjiu admitted. "I want to be free." She asked with a heavy voice, "Can you...can you help me?" She felt a tear go down her eye.

The Goddess took her daughters hand in hers. "Yes, I can." Then she put her daughters hand on the Three Lives Rock. "A bit of my magic lives in this rock. Give your power to this rock and then you will be free of it. You will never again go back in time."

Fengjiu felt another tear go down her eye. "Tell me how."

"Close your eyes," The Goddess instructed. Her daughter closed her eyes. "Now, imagine your time travel power. Bring it forth into your mind. Then let that power flow out of you." She watched as her Daughters body started to glow and the rock started to glow. "Let it flow."

A few moments later, she turned to look at her Mother. "Is...is it over?"

The Goddess nodded, "Yes, child. Though you no longer have that power...I'll still always be your Mother." She hugged Fengjiu. "Call me anytime you need me. I'll always come."

Fengjiu smiled, "Could you come with me to meet my parents?"

The Goddess smiled, "I'll be right behind you. Go ahead and teleport ahead of me."

Fengjiu looked confused by nodded and quickly teleported away.

The Goddess looked at the Three Lives Rock. "Bai Feng Jiu and Dong Hua." She called out their names. She saw the rock show their names glowing bright.

Bai Feng Jiu & Dong Hua

She smiled to herself, "You got your wish...my daughter."

(A/N NEW CHAPTER! YAY. Yes their names are back! It will be explained how that happened later. But basically she gave her fate power back and her Mother knew she would do this and planned something in advance!)

(Yes, Fengjiu will still be a nine-tailed fox, she didn't lose any of her other powers. This only means that she won't be able to time travel ever again.)
