So this chapter I'm actually super excited about cause now we officially introduce both Kalim and Jamil! Ahhh I'm so happy now. After bidding goodbye to all their friends and watching them leave one by one, (Y/N) along with Kanzaburou and Grim made her way back to the Ramshackle Dorm. She now wore her new scarf given to her by Crowley.
"Ooh, check it out (Y/N)! We got a whole blanket of snow out here!" Grim exclaimed as he pointed out towards the snow.
"You get plenty of it back home when the season hits." Kanzaburou said now watching as the snow gently fell from the sky.
"He's right..." (Y/N) said as she gave a small nod. "Though I think we'd better check on the fireplace."
"Yea, maybe the Fire Fairies are feeling the chill, too. Better bring them some firewood.
Ooh and I can check out the kitchen and see if they got any leftovers while I'm there!" Grim happily exclaimed before singing a small toon. "La la laaa!"

Soon enough, the trio left the snowy scenery and made their way towards the school cafeteria where they brought some firewood for the fairies.
"Geez, it was cold out there! My paws feel like icicles! Let's just hurry up and get that firewood in the fireplace." Grim said from atop Kanzaburou's shoulder.
"You're not even helping, you're just using me for warmth." Kanzaburou said as he threw in the firewood.
"It's ok, at least we got the job done." (Y/N) said as she threw her own firewood into the fireplace. And with that soon enough, the fire fairies appeared before them now making it much warmer.
"Wow...there's so many of them..."
"Ahhh..." Grim sighed in satisfaction as he saw the fire fairies soon appear. "You guys must be the Fire Fairies. I'm feeling warm and fuzzy just being near you." He said as the small fairies simply smiled at him.
"Yea I gotta agree with him." Kanzaburou said as he nodded in agreement. "Keep up the good work you guys." He said as the fairies smiled brightly at him.
"Who would have thought fairies would of exist as well..." (Y/N) softly said as she watched the small fairies hard at work before giving them a small smile. "Amazing..." She said as before they soon heard a chopping sound.
"Huh?"
"Hm? What's that I hear over the crackling fire? Chopping? And...sizzling meat?!" Grim said as he now sniffed the air before jumping off the male's shoulder. "And now my nose is tingling with the spicy aroma of foreign cuisine! It's coming from the kitchen. Let's see what's up you two!"
"Alright..."

The trio followed the sound of chopping wood and the smell of food only to come across a couple of students cooking in the kitchen.
"And here I thought we were alone..."
"Once you're done cooking the vegetables, boil the thawed meat. Don't forget to add the nuts once the oil is heated." Jamil said.
"Yes sir!" Three Scarabia students said in unison.
"Vice Dorm leader, will one tablespoon of spices be enough?" The purple haired Scarabia student asked.
"The Dorm leader's palate veers spicy. Add another teaspoon." Jamil said.
"What's going on in here? It's winter break, but the kitchen's full of students!" Grim said as he stared in shock at all the students that were cooking.
"Hm? You're..." Jamil said only to be cut off by (Y/N).
"Ah, you're the pretty boy who got injured from the tournament..." The raven haired female said as she approached Jamil before taking his hand now inspecting. "How are your injuries? Are you feeling better?"
"I um, yes..." Jamil trailed off now looking away from the female, his cheeks flushed a bit red from her compliment. "We had a brief chat back when I got injured before the Magift tournament." He said as he gave her a small nod. "I'm doing much better thank you."
"Being injured is way better than losing your hand." Kanzaburou said as (Y/N) nodded in agreement before letting go of Jamil.
"Hm..." Jamil hummed as he eyed the three of them. "Your names were...(Y/N) and Grim, correct?" He said before then glancing at Kanzaburou. "And you're...ah, her crow."
"Yea it's Kanzaburou, I just got a little makeover is all." The raven haired male said.
"Dang you got a good memory, uhhh...what was your name again?" Grim said.
"Grim, that's Jamil senpai." (Y/N) said.
"That's right, I'm Jamil. Jamil Viper, the Vice Dorm leader of Scarabia Dorm." Jamil said as he now introduced himself to them. "I make it a point to memorize people's names and faces. Not to mention, you all have made quite the names for yourselves since you first enrolled. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone at this school who doesn't know who you are."
"Whoa really? Myahaha! You hear that (Y/N)?! We're famous!" Grim excitedly said.
"At any rate, why are you here on campus when it's winter break?"Jamil questioned as he eyed them suspiciously.
"We don't have anywhere to go home for the holidays." Kanzaburou said as he gave a small shrug.
"Yea, besides me and Kanzaburou are from the Taisho Era not at all from here." (Y/N) said.
"Yea and that place is the worst..."
"And they're not going back, cause The Great Grim said so!" Grim said now making the female smile a bit. "And not to mention, the Headmage personally gave us a super special job. We're tending the fireplace. I'm as diligent and competent as they come! It only makes sense that the Headmage would turn to me when he needs help!" He proudly said.
"But you didn't do anything except use me for warmth..." Kanzaburou mumbled as (Y/N) simply gave the male a headpat to comfort him.
"I know..."
"Oh, is that a fact? The Headmage personally asked you, you say..." Jamil said before trailing off a bit. "This could be my chance..." He quietly mumbled to himself as he watched as the female continued to give Kanzaburou headpats.
"Hm? Didn't catch that." Grim said as he stared at Jamil a bit confused.
"I said that if the Headmage is relying on you, you must be a tremendous talent indeed." Jamil said as he gave them a close eyed smile.
"Sorry to interrupt Vice Dorm leader, but I'm done prepping the vegetables." A blonde Scarabia student said as he approached Jamil.
"Ok, I'll be right over." Jamil said as he gave the male a small nod.
"That soup you're making looks pretty good. I've never smelled anything like it before." Grim said as he eyed the soup.
"It's a traditional Scalding Sands recipe, you see-" Jamil said before soon cutting himself off. "Wait. An idea just occurs to me. I'm sure something brought us together. Would you care to join us for our meal?"
"Really?! You mean it?" Grim said.
"Absolutely." Jamil said as he smiled at them. "It won't take much longer to finish. Why don't you three lend a hand?"
"Very well. Just tell us what we should do." (Y/N) said as she then looked back at her raven haired companion. "Come on Kanzaburou, we'll help Jamil senpai and finish this quick."
"Alright, Tomioka sama." Kanzaburou said as he gave the female a close eyed smile.
"Now let's get cooking!"

"That should do it. Alright, boys, let's get this to the dorm!" Jamil said as he look over at the Scarabia students.
"Yes sir!" The Scarabia students all said in unison.
"So, why are you guys staying on campus over winter break?" Grim asked as some of the students looked away nervously by his sudden question.
"Well..." Jamil started off before averting his eyes to the side all while the others remained silent.
"............"
"It's a bit of a long story." Jamil said.
"I don't like where this is going..." (Y/N) said as Kanzaburou nodded in agreement.
"It was our Dorm leader's orders. Everybody in Scarabia has to stay..." The blonde haired Scarabia male quietly said.
"Orders? Him, really..."
"We can't go home even if we wanted to..." The purple haired Scarabia student said sadly.
"Shhh. Don't go into it. We brought this on ourselves as it is." Jamil said as he shushed the males standing next to him. "Now, let's get this food back to the dorm before it gets cold. Scarabia's got the warmth of summer year around. I think you'll enjoy a taste of the tropics there."
"Now that's what I call paradise! Come on you guys let's go!" Grim eagerly said.
"Hey slow down a bit." Kanzaburou said as he looked back at the female. "What do you say Tomioka sama? It's your choice." The male said as Jamil ended up giving him a hard stare.
"Nothing here is ever free without a price to pay..." (Y/N) said as she smiled sadly now remembering her first experience at the Unbirthday Party at Heartslabyul. "It's a nice offer, thank you Jamil senpai but maybe next time..."
"I'm sure our Dorm leader will be more than delighted to have you as visitors." Jamil said as he smiled at (Y/N) before a hazy feeling soon overcame the female. "Would you care to come over?"
"We would love to come, thank you very much senpai." (Y/N) said as she unwillingly agreed with the male. "It would be rude to decline after all."
"What a pleasure it is to know you'll be coming to see us (Y/N)." Jamil said as he smirked a bit before smiling at the rest of the students. "Now then, Scarabia awaits."
"Uh..." (Y/N) blinked as she slowly shook her head now feeling a bit confused.
"Tomioka sama?" Kanzaburou said as he approached the female with concern laced in his tone. "Are you alright? Do you need anything?"
"Don't worry Kanzaburou. I'm...alright thank you." (Y/N) nodded before Grim soon tugged at her hand.
"Let's go you two, we don't wanna keep them waiting!"
"Right..."

Soon, they all arrived at the Hall of Mirrors and with that they entered straight towards the Scarabia mirror being greeted by a summer heat.
"So this is Scarabia Dorm. It really is sweltering like it's summer over here!" Grim exclaimed as he stared at the dorm in awe. Soon enough (Y/N) took a picture of the dorm to upload to her Magicam. Staring at the picture she nodded a bit feeling satisfied with the results before posting it.
"What a sight..."
"Cater senpai would love to see this..."
"Yea, I agree..." (Y/N) said as she took off her scarf and now simply held it in her hands. "If it gets too much for you Kanzaburou let me know." The female said as she watched as Kanzaburou took off the jacket that Crewel got him.
"You got it Tomioka sama!" He said as he gave her a grin.
Jamil stayed silent for a bit as he watched the interaction between (Y/N) and Kanzaburou before speaking. "I'm sure it's a welcome reprieve from the cold. Come, this way." He said before leading the way for them.
"Alright, sure."

Jamil eventually led the three of them to the dorm lounge. Once they arrived he clapped now gaining the attention of all the students.
"Boys we have guests! Play some music to make them feel at home." Jamil said and with that music soon started to play.
"Myahaha! When you get as famous as us, I guess people fall all over themselves to get in your good graces." Grin said as he laughed a bit.
"Please, go on. Eat up while it's hot." Jamil said as he gestured towards the food.
"Don't mind if I do! Awmph! Mmm, this's good stuff! It's got a rich flavor, with a powerful kick of heat..." Grim said as he smiled in approval. "This veggie stir fry with crunchy nuts is great. Oh and so are these fried dough ball things!
"We have meat dishes and soup as well. Please, help yourselves. There's more where that came from." Jamil said.
"You know, with a veritable buffet like this in front of us, this really is paradise!" Grim happily said as he continued eating.
"Well thanks." Kanzaburou said as he picked up a bowl of mixed nuts only for him to spit them out a few seconds later. "Bleh, they taste salty. Not really the best.." The raven haired male said as he picked up a cup of water to down the taste.
"You should have told me before you were going to eat them..." (Y/N) said as she stared down at her plate of food, not eating yet. "Hopefully you don't get sick..."
"What's wrong (Y/N)?" Jamil asked as he noticed how the female kept staring at her untouched plate of food. "Why aren't you eating?"
"Oh, I'm sorry senpai...this is all foreign to me, well to both of us actually..." (Y/N) said as she looked back at Kanzaburou who gave her a nod.
"You won't find a good majority of this stuff back home." Kanzaburou said as he picked up a bowl of grapes.
"I see..." Jamil said as he gave them a small nod. "Well, I promise you it's all good. Have a taste." He said as he smiled at her. "The dish you grabbed is curry and I'm sure you will enjoy it. Go ahead and have a taste."
"Hm..." The female said nothing before looking at Jamil and then at the curry. Soon enough she took a spoonful of the dish and smiled a bit in satisfaction from the taste.
"Well?" Jamil asked.
"How is it Tomioka sama?" Kanzaburou said as he curiously looked at the female.
"It's really good, thank you senpai." (Y/N) said as Jamil gave her a small nod.
"I'm glad you are enjoying it." Jamil said. "Help yourself to anything else you may want."
"Here you go Kanzaburou, try it." The female said not even giving her raven haired companion a second to answer before shoving a spoonful of curry in his mouth. "Do you like it?"
"It's very flavorful." Kanzaburou said as he gave both Jamil and (Y/N) an small smile. "But I'll stick to my grapes, thank you very much Tomioka sama. Please, enjoy your food."
"Hm..."
"Those two are quite close, compared to..."
"What is all this commotion?" A voice said suddenly cutting in now gaining everyone's attention.
"Huh?"
"D...Dorm leader!" The Scarabia students exclaimed now sounding rather nervous upon seeing the white haired male.
"Ah, Kalim." Jamil said.

"What's going on Jamil? Nobody told me to expect company!" Kalim said as he looked over at the three now looking rather angry.
"Kalim, there's a good reason for this, I assure you." Jamil calmly said as he approached the male.
"Uh, this guy seems like bad news..." Grim mumbled all while (Y/N) didn't say anything but simply stare at Kalim in silence.
"He was different when I saw him last time..."
"What happened to that sunny aura?"
"How many times must I tell you to always inform me ahead of time when inviting guests?! If you had..." Kalim said before trailing off a bit as he then sighed sadly. "...I would have arranged for an even finer banquet and a whole band!"
"Huh?" Grim and Kanzaburou said in unison.
"Hiya! Welcome to our dorm. Sorry for not throwing you a welcoming parade!" Kalim said as he approached (Y/N) now offering her a friendly smile. "I'm Kalim Al-Asim, the Dorm leader of Scarabia. This is the first time we've met right?"
"It's not, actually." Jamil said as he correct the white haired male. "Grim almost burned your posterior at orientation and (Y/N) saved you during the whole situation. You've also spoken with them before the Magift tournament as well. However, during that time Kanzaburou looked...much different."
"Oh, really? Ahahah, sorry!" Kalim said as he let out a small laugh. "I've always been terrible with faces. I hope you won't take any offense. Regardless, it's nice to meet you all over again!"
"You're fine, don't worry." Kanzaburou said as he gave the male a small smile.
"It's alright senpai." (Y/N) said as she cupped Kalim's cheeks making him smile. "It's good to see you again. You're still as cute as last time..." And with those words uttered Kalim soon blushed a bit all while everyone simply stared at the female in shock.
"So bold..."
"I almost choked hearing that..."
"This guy certainly is different from the other Dorm leaders we met..." Kanzaburou said as he examined Kalim carefully before nodding in approval. "Alright. I think I'll like this one..."
"Haha thank you, I hope we get along!" Kalim smiled happily before looking at all the food. "All the food looks incredible as always. How did everything turn out Jamil?"
"Splendidly as ever. There are no dangerous substances in any of these dishes so eat whatever you like. They've also been poison tested already." Jamil said and with those words uttered Grim's eyes soon widen in shock along with everyone else.
"W...why is that relevant?!" Grim exclaimed.
"Are you trying to kill us?!" Kanzaburou glared all while (Y/N) quickly downed a cup of water.
"Kalim is the heir to a very wealthy family. The unfortunate dangers related to that mean that everything he eats must be vetted." Jamil explained.
"You just love blowing these things out of proportion, Jamil. Really, who would do that?" Kalim said as he gave the male a carefree smile. "Nobody has tried poisoning me since that time four years ago when I went comatose for two weeks. It's a thing of the past now." He said as (Y/N) stared at him in shock.
"What the hell...."
"How can he say that so calmly and with a smile no less?"
"Yes, because you've had someone to specifically prevent that from happening for the past four years." Jamil calmly said. "I ensure that anything hazardous is identified and disposed of before it crosses your plate."
"Wait a minute. When you were feeding me all those different dishes, was that to test them for poison?!" Grim exclaimed.
"Us? Taste testing? Hell, I wouldn't even care if you're a Prince! Listen here Medusa, if Tomioka sama does get poisoned or even sick I'll have your head, you heard me?!" Kanzaburou said as he glared at Jamil all while (Y/N) went over to the male to calm him down.
"Kanzaburou it's alright, I'm ok." (Y/N) said as she looked over at the two Scarabia males. "Sorry..."
"It's true." Grim nodded in agreement. "He won't hesitate."
"Aha..."
"Note to self don't say such things next time..."
"Would...he really do it though?"
"I wouldn't poison a guest." Jamil said as he smiled at (Y/N). "There is no need to worry." He said as he watched as Kanzaburou simply crossed his arms over his chest now sighing in defeat.
"Kanzaburou, please just apologize to Jamil senpai. Everything is ok." (Y/N) said.
"I apologize for that Tomioka sama. And I guess I'm sorry, uh...Jamil..." The raven haired male mumbled as Grim simply grinned at the clearly upset male.
"It's quite alright." Jamil said as he gave a small nod.
"Ahahah!" Kalim let out a small laugh as he smiled at the upset raven haired male. "There's no real danger for any of you so don't worry. All the food Jamil makes is safe. Jamil would never poison my food."
"I guess..." (Y/N) said as she gave him a small nod.
"Heh. Must you state the obvious?" Jamil said.
"You know, I'm starting to think these guys were only pretending to be nice." Grim said.
"Ooh, Grim! Have you tried the goat's milk blue cheese yet? Nothing beats a smear of it on a cracker!" Kalim said before sitting next to the trio now smiling at them once again.
"Huh? Why would I eat something with mold all over- mmph!" Grim said before he was soon got cut off by Kalim who started shoving the food in his mouth. "Don't go shoving food in my- mmph!"
"That looks painful to watch..." (Y/N) mumbles as Kanzaburou nodded in agreement.
"Oh, good, you like it! By all means, have some more! Aha ha!" Kalim happily laughed as he then continued to stuff Grim's face with more food before facing the pair. "(Y/N) Kanzaburou's would you care for some?"
"He'll die before dessert arrives..."
"I er...no thanks. I'm more of a fruit kind of guy." Kanzaburou said as he gave Kalim a small nervous smile before quickly grabbing an apple.
"I...I think I'd rather take this bowl of mixed fruits thank you." (Y/N) said as she gave Grim a sympathetic look.
"Haha ok! You guys enjoy!" Kalim said as he stuffed Grim's face sim more. "Bring out more food and drinks. And kick the music up a notch or three! Today, we party!"
"Tomioka sama, we may have to bury Grim some place later if he happens to die by the end of this meal...." Kanzaburou quietly said.
"Sadly I agree..." (Y/N) mumbled as she nodded in agreement.

"How are you feeling Grim?"(Y/N) asked as she and Kanzaburou looked over at the nearly passed out Grim.
"You still alive?" Kanzaburou asked as Grim gave him a small nod.
"I can't eat another bite..." He groaned as he now patted his full stomach. "Urgh...my tummy's gonna burst. Where does that Kalim guy get off by cramming crackers with moldy cheese in my mouth? I make it a personal policy to eat any food I get, but that was just too much!"
"Look at the bright side, you're alive and now fully stuffed..." (Y/N) said as Kanzaburou nodded in agreement.
"And most importantly alive." Kanzaburou pointed out.
"Hey, you guys care for some dessert? We've got ice cream. Or would you prefer a selection of fruits? We've also got baked sweets with pistachios and almonds. I could have Jamil bring you some." Kalim happily said as he now approached them once again.
"Mrah! N...nope, I'm square! Can't eat another bite!" Grim said before he quickly went to go hide behind (Y/N).
"Aww. They're all so good, I would've loved to share some with you. Oh well. We'll be here over the whole winter break. You're welcome to drop by for a meal whenever you like. Right, Jamil?" Kalim said before looking back at Jamil and smiling at him.
"Absolutely. Anytime." Jamil said as he gave a small nod.
"Speaking of which, I was actually wondering...." (Y/N) started off as she looked at both Jamil and Kalim. "Why aren't you going home?"
"Hm? Oh, well you know how we recently had that Magift tournament followed by our exams? Well, our dorm placed at the bottom in both." Kalim said.
"............."
"I see..." (Y/N) mumbled as she gave the male a small nod all while Jamil remained silent simply listening to the conversation.
"So I decided to do something about it. Our whole dorm is doing voluntary special training." Kalim said.
"I would of taken last place over what Ramshackle Dorm got in the Magift tournament bracket. That's a fat load of nothing." Grim said as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Oh, right. Yes, that's a real shame." Kalim said as he gave him a small nod.
"On our winter break, we'll be spending six hours a day on studies and practical magic training." Jamil said as they all stared at him in shock.
"Six hours in this weather?"
"They'll pass out here..."
"Six hours a day? That ain't any different from regular school hours!" Grim exclaimed as he stared at Jamil with widen eyes. "Holidays are for resting. Homework can wait until after break. That's what Leona says." He said as (Y/N) and Kanzaburou nodded in agreement.
"Yes, I'm sure he does." Jamil simply said.
"Hm...six hours on a holiday?" (Y/N) said as she crossed her arms over her chest before frowning a bit. "That's a bit much for you all in this temperature. Around here you'll pass out before you even reach the two hour mark." She said blandly stated as she stared at Jamil.
"I can guarantee they all probably wouldn't even last doing my basic training for that matter..."
"A little break never killed anyone." Kanzaburou said as he gave a small shrug.
"Hm, when you guys put it that way you do have a point. My dad did always drill the whole work hard, play hard, and know when to do which thing into my head. Maybe Leona's right, and we should focus more on striking the right balance between the two." Kalim said before soon nodding in agreement with them. "Alright! I've decided Jamil. We should take our breaks when we can get them. I'll let our students go home tomorrow."
"What?!" Jamil exclaimed as he stared at Kalim in shock.
"I'll tell them over dinner tonight. Do me a favor and make sure everybody shows up, ok?" Kalim said as he gave him a smile.
"R...right. Of course." Jamil hesitantly said.
"Say, (Y/N) I should give you guys the grand Scarabia tour. I'd love to show you a few things." Kalim said as he smiled at the raven haired female.
"Kalim, please! You'll be setting a bad example if you task the students with studying and then goof off yourself." Jamil said as he tried stopping the male from leaving.
"But it's not every day we get guests. Surely one day of slacking can't hurt." Kalim said.
"...Kalim"
"Erk... Ok, fine. Don't get mad. I'll do some defense magic training then. A mock battle would make for a nice after meal workout." Kalim said before smiling at a group of students. "Hey, could someone fight me?!"
"Yes, Dorm leader!" Three Scarabia students exclaimed in unison.

"Ok, training's done! Now let's be off! Come guys let's go!" Kalim cheered happily as he grabbed (Y/N)'s hand leading her to who knows where with Grim and Kanzaburou following close behind.
"We'll be back in a bit senpai." (Y/N) said as she bid Jamil goodbye.
"Wait, you've got other work to-" Jamil said before soon cutting himself off now letting out a small sigh as he watched as Kalim's figure soon disappeared.

"Man, this place is fancy! It's nothing at all like Ramshackle Dorm." Grim said only to be nudged by a frowning (Y/N).
"Take that back or I'll agree with Kanzaburou and let you sleep outside." The female said as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I worked hard..."
"I still say we kick him out." Kanzaburou smiled.
"Hahah! It's alright please don't fight." Kalim said as he let out a small laugh before smiling at the trio. "Is it really that impressive to you? I know that back when I enrolled my dad said he donated a bit to the school to give the place a fresh coat of paint, but..."
"Geez, how rich are you?! Are you some kinda prince like Leona?" Grim asked.
"The Asims aren't royalty and I'm not a prince. I've got some relatives in the royal family though." Kalim said as he gave them a close eyed smile.
"You could pass off as a Prince..."
"Asim? I thought your name was Al-Asim." Kanzaburou said curiously.
""Al" means "son" in the ancient language of the Land of the Scalding Sands. So we name families after the founders that start them. And all the men of that time refer to themselves as the founder's son." Kalim then started to explain. "In my case, Asim is our honored founder's name, and "Al" means son. Kalim Al-Asim means Kalim, Son of House Asim."
"Huh, I never thought much about where names come from. Fascinating." Grim said.
"It all sounds fascinating..." (Y/N) said as she gave the white haired male a small nod.

(Y/N) gave the Kalim a smile upon hearing his words. "Thank you senpai, that would be very nice."
"Does this count as an invitation..."
"I bet you live in some kinda fancy mansion that's halfway to being a castle." Grim said as he smiled at the male.
"Oh, hardly. We only have around a hundred helpers." Kalim said.
"Hm helpers? That kind of reminds me a bit of the Kakushis from back home..." (Y/N) quietly said as Kanzaburou have a small nod.
"Some are definitely better than others..." The raven haired male mumbled as he remembered the one specific perverted Kakushi.
"Only? In what world does that deserver only?! I've only got one hench-" Grim said before soon receiving a glare from Kanzaburou.
"Grim..."
"Do it. Finish that sentence, I dare you..." Kanzaburou said as Grim looked away from him.
"Well, we're a big family." Kalim said. "We need at least that many people to look after them all."
"Sorry, you have that many siblings?!"Grim exclaimed.
"I wonder if the majority of them are younger siblings..." (Y/N) mumbled.
"Well at least you're never bored..."
"Yea, so many I quit counting.?I do remember all of their names and faces, though. Ahahah!" Kalim said now laughing a bit.
"Must be nice..."
"I only have one sister but she's dead...
"You guys do everything on a whole other level..." Grim mumbled.
"Jamil's mom and dad are among our servants. So Jamil is always around and looked after me ever since he was a young boy. And he is seriously amazing, believe me. He's smart, thoughtful, and most of all, he's a great cook!" Kalim happily said.
"The proof of that last one is in the pudding for sure." Grim said as he gave himself a grin.
"You see? You should stay over for dinner tonight! Come on!" Kalim happily said.
"Hm I still don't like the guy after what he said earlier..."
"Uh, sure..." Grim said as he looked at Kalim before glancing back at (Y/N). Yeesh, talking with this guy throws me off." He said as (Y/N) simply gave a small shrug.
"You don't find people this nice at our school every day." (Y/N) said.
"Yea, not to mention he's a pretty sunny guy. Not a bad thing." Kanzaburou said as the raven haired female nodded in agreement.
"Hey, you two! What are you hanging back and whispering for? Come on, this way." The white haired male said as the trio nodded in agreement now trailing after him.

Soon enough, Kalim brought them into a store room that was filled to the top with a lot of gold, various treasures, and valuables.
"Whoa..." (Y/N) uttered as she stared at the room in awe.
"Sweet mother of loot! What is this place? It's got piles of treasure taller than I am!" Grim exclaimed.
"This is all the stuff my dad sent with me when I departed for school." Kalim said as he gave them a smile. "I couldn't possibly fit it in my dorm room so it's all kept here in the storeroom."
"I think I felt my heart drop seeing all of this..." Kanzaburou mumbled as he looked around the room as (Y/N) nodded in agreement.
"Definitely...." The raven haired female said.
"This is no a storeroom! This is a whole treasury!" Grim exclaimed.
"Ooh, you know some big words, Grim. Very impressive! My favorite out of all these treasures is, of course..." Kalim said before trailing off a bit before looking around the room now noticing that something was missing. At this he frowned slightly. "Huh, where did it go? Sometimes it moves around on its own. Hey, where are you?"
"And what is it you're looking for senpai? Do you need any help finding it?" The female asked as she looked around the room.
"Hahah, thanks! It's my carpet." Kalim smiled as (Y/N) stared at him a bit confused. "But it's around here somewhere so it'll turn up soon I'm sure."
"Huh?"
"Wow...huge gemstones just scattered on the floor, shiny golden goblets..." Grim said as he eyed the various treasure before him. "With this much stuff, surely no one would notice if one little thing went missing. Myehehe..." Grim chuckled as Kanzaburou shook his head in disappointment.
"We're guests here. You shouldn't touch other people's stuff." Kanzaburou said as he scolded Grim before the Tanuki soon felt someone or something like him.
"Unless it's that shiny wannabe womanizer..."
"Stop poking me." Grim said as he glared at the raven haired male.
"I'm not doing anything to you." Kanzaburou said now frowning at Grim.
Again, Grim felt someone or something poke him. "Hey, what do you want? Can't you see I'm trying to- gyahh!" Grim said before yelling out now flinching at the sight before him. "T...the carpet...it's moving all on its own! It's been possessed by a ghost!"
"What the hell..."
"Whoa..." The female stared in awe as she then proceeded to poke the carpet. "Amazing..."
"Ah, there you are! Go back over and curl up in your usual spot, would you?" Kalim said as he gestured to a spot for the carpet.
"What in the world is this?!" Grim exclaimed as he quickly hide behind (Y/N).
"This is a legendary treasure from Scalding Sands lore, a magic carpet!" Kalim happily said as he introduced them to the magic carpet. "The sultan that the Sorcerer of the Sands served used to love his flying carpet. This one's a replica of it. It's been in our family for generations." He said as the carpet seemed to nod in agreement.
"Cool, never thought I'd see a magic carpet before." Kanzaburou said as he gave the carpet a small smile. "But then again there's no such thing as stuff like this back home."
"It's nice to meet you magic carpet." (Y/N) said as the carpet nodded at the raven haired female. "I'm Tomioka (Y/N), the little tanuki here is Grim, and this is my friend Kanzaburou." The female introduced all while Kalim stared at her with a small smile on his face.
"You mean that carpet flies around like a broom?" Grim asked.
"More or less. That's probably the easiest way to put it." Kalim said as he gave Grim a small nod. "It's getting dark so why don't we go out for an evening ride in style? Come along, all aboard!"
"Really? Are you sure I won't fall off that thing?" Grim said as he stared at the carpet hesitantly.
"I uh..I don't know..." (Y/N) said now feeling slightly unsure.
"You get used to the skies if you're me, but I think I'm ok. You go for it Tomioka sama." Kanzaburou said as he urged to female to go. "You may like it."
"It's totally safe! Come on!" Kalim said as he took a hold of Grim before getting on the carpet and then facing the female now holding his hand out towards her with a smile on his face. "Tell me, do you trust me?"
The raven haired female stayed silent as she looked back at Kanzaburou who simply gave her a small nod.
"I do senpai." She said as she smiled at the white haired male who helped her on the carpet.
"Have fun." Kanzaburou said as he gave them a small smile. "I think I'll go and help your friend clean up back there." And with that, the raven haired male soon took his leave
"We'll see you in a bit! And away we go!" Kalim cheered.

"Aaaah! We're really flying! This is crazy high up!" Grim exclaimed as he looked down at the sight below him. "Look how teeny the dorm looks from up here."
"How do you like the world above the clouds?" Kalim said as he smiled at the female.
"It's like a whole new world..." (Y/N) said as she held her hand out towards the clouds, feeling as the gentle breeze from the wind would blow against her hair.
"Ahahah! That good, huh?" Kalim laughed a bit before smiling at (Y/N) once again. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself."
"This totally rules!" Grim exclaimed as (Y/N) nodded in agreement.
"There's nothing quite like soaring through the sky. It shows you how little all your troubles really matter in the grand scheme of things. Of course, Jamil always says I don't worry enough about things as it is..." Kalim said as he smiled sadly. "It wouldn't hurt him to take life a little easier."
"It's like Kanzaburou said earlier, a little break never killed anyone." (Y/N) said as she took a gentle hold of Kalim's hand making him blush a bit.
"Mrow! Check out that river over there! I've never seen a bird like that before!" Grim said now interrupting the two as (Y/N) soon enough let go of the male's hand.
"Ooh, good eye. Let's go take a closer look!" Kalim said now feeling a bit upset about the female letting go of his hand.

Jamil stayed silent as he stared at the raven haired male who decided to come back to help him pick up the empty dishes and clean up.
"So you're a servant to you're master..." Jamil mumbled quietly now catching Kanzaburou off guard as he was in the middle of helping a purple haired Scarabia student pick up dishes.

"It's nothing. Forget it..." Jamil said before walking off.

• Since he was feeling cold, Grim decided to jump onto Kanzaburou's shoulder and clung onto him for warmth.
• (Y/N) was mesmerized when she saw the Fire Fairies.
• When Kanzaburou referred to "losing your hand" that was a reference to how someone will be losing theirs.
• (Y/N)'s stalker was the first one to see her post of Scarabia Dorm.
• Jamil was taken aback by (Y/N)'s blunt compliment.
• After what had happened in the kitchen, Kanzaburou is still a bit concerned with (Y/N)'s well being.
• (Y/N) thinks Jamil is pretty, even prettier up close.
• Knowing that (Y/N) is at school for winter break, Jamil is hoping to use her as part of his plan.
• Jamil is jealous of the friendly caring relationship between Kanzaburou and (Y/N) share.
