Comfort

I finally came up with and idea and I hope you like it!

"Maleficent..." She heard a whisper. She was laying in her tree on a bed of moss that she made from her magic. Diaval was laying next to her, his back facing her. "Maleficent..." The whisper came again. Maleficent furrowed her brows, eyes closed but searching for something. "Maleficent..." She moaned and opened her eyes slowly adjusting her blurry vision. Her eyes widened and she gasped. Stefan was standing in front of her, dagger in hand. "Hello witch, miss me." He said angrily. Maleficent looked towards Diaval but he wasn't there. "What's wrong, can't find anyone to save you." He said smirking. Maleficent tried to use her magic but nothing seemed to respond to her command. Stefan started laughing before he pointed the dagger at her. "You are mine." Before Maleficent could even move or fly off he jumped at her. Maleficent sat up from her sleep screaming. Diaval woke up trying to comfort her but she pushed his hands away. She was breathing heavily, trying to recoporate from the nightmare. "Hey, look, it's me, your ok." Diaval said softly. Maleficent started to cry, tears falling from her eyes like raindrops. Diaval caressed the tears away and hugged her tightly. "It's ok, nothing's going to happen." He said kissing her head. He laid her back down with him, hugging her as close as he can. Maleficent calmed down, sniffling little cries. She stayed awake for a while listening to Diaval's heart beat. Diaval carresed her tear stained cheek and kissed her forehead. Maleficent cuddled closer to him breathing contently. After a a while she fell asleep with a smile. When Diaval was sure she was ok he closed his eyes content that he made her feel safe. 'Never again, I won't let anything happen to you, my love.' He thought. He fell asleep after and before he knew it, it was morning and a new day began for the both of them.
