Izhaan's POV
.

"Dada ji! I want to discuss something with you" i requested

"Tell me beta" he said

My grandfather has been my inspiration, I walked on his footsteps, he was a successful lawyer of his time, people still look with great respect at him. I discuss with him if something is beyond my understanding, he makes me see it in light, he is indeed my mentor.

We went to the study room and I showed him the whole chart of the case I made after I did my research. He read it thoroughly that give me pointers of where I was going wrong and what part I was over looking

My phone was constantly ringing, but I paid no heed to it, when I am working, I like to stay focused.

After almost two hours I was finally done.

"I am really lucky to have you, I wish I was at least half smart of you" I said meaning it, he chuckled

"You are much more smart and intelligent than me"

"Oh no no"

"Kya baatein chal rahi hai (what are you guys talking about?)" Athar entered

"Just back biting about you" dada ji laughed

"Then it is fine. As long as you guys are talking about me, I'm happy it doesn't matter if praises or criticism" he smiled

"Why do you have to be such a drama queen?" I asked, he just shrugged smiling goofingly, I shook my head

My phone rang again, I rolled my eyes

"Izhaan please answer your phone" dada ji said

I excused myself and came outside the room, it was kabir's call, I called him back

"Akhri baar puchh raha hun, bata do woh ladki kon thi (I'm asking you for the last time just tell me who that girl was?)" He said, I shook my head in disbelief, how can someone be so nosey

"I told you she was my sister's friend"

"And I told you that I don't believe you. So just tell me the truth"

"It was the truth, believe it or not"

"Why don't I just ask her"

"Ask her? How?"

"I saw her a while ago in a coffee shop. I thought of talking to her, but I didn't"

I checked the time, it was 11:30 in the night, what the hell was she doing at the coffee shop at this hour

"Where?" I asked

"Dwarka"

That is like an hour's drive from her house, I rubbed my forehead, this girl is so good at giving me headaches

"Kabir please just leave her alone" I said

"Oh come on Izhaan! I was just messing with you, I would never go and talk to her, I accept I am curious about this girl, but I know you will tell me about her when the time is right"

"Thanks for understanding" I sighed in relief

"I'll see you tomorrow" he said. Then I hung up the call.

I checked the time again even though I did just a min ago. She is at the coffee shop at this time. I grinded my jaw in anger.

To distract myself i went back to the study room

"Athar please, you are my very good boy" i found dada ji requesting Athar

"It's quite difficult tomorrow please understand" he shook his head.

"What happened?" I asked

"Dadi wants to go out shopping tomorrow, but dada ji wants to watch a cricket match, and we all know how scared he is of dadi, so he cannot refuse also. So now he wants my help, but I will be busy at office" Athar explained

"Beta please" dada ji insisted

"Ok ok. What time does she want to go?" I asked

"After lunch" dada ji replied

"I'll take her, don't worry" I volunteered, dada Ji's eyes brightened

"That is why I love you more" he said

"Heyyy" Athar said pretending to be offended

After some more chit chatting we all made ways to our respective bedrooms and went to sleep.

****

"Bhai drop us here, we will go on our own from here" Hayat said, I glared at her

"No way" I shook my head

"I don't understand why you had to come with us, I have said so many times to let me learn driving, I will be independent then" she said

"Hayat" dadi scolded her

"I am eighteen years old, dadi. I am old enough"

"That's enough" I said harshly, she pouted.

No matter what but whenever the ladies from our house go out we always accompany them, there's always me, Athar, papa or dada ji with them. It is just unsaid rule.

"Chup ho jao kyu bhai se daant khana chahti ho (just keep quite why do you want to get scolded by your brother?)" Dadi said to her

"But dadi..." She was about to say something but one hard glare from me shut her up immediately

I parked the car and walked out with dadi and hayat, we entered the mall, they both instantly got busy in shopping, I was just holding there bags and trailing behind them.

My eyes were scanning the area and it stopped at one particular face. I saw her on the floor above me, I quickly went to dadi who just entered a shop

"How much time will you take here?" I asked her

"Why beta? Do you have to go somewhere? We can go now" she replied

"No no dadi, take your time, I just have to make a phone call, that is why I was asking"

"Oh! Take your time, we'll be here for some time" I nodded and left, I went on the upper floor, I searched for her, luckily I quickly found her

"Don't you have any purpose in life?" I asked standing behind her

"Excuse me?" She asked turning around

"Why don't you make yourself useful? Why do you always just waste your time? Wherever I go, you are there, why?" I asked, she opened her bag and began searching for something, then she checked her pockets, I frowned, what is she doing?

She took out something invisible from her jeans' back pocket, she smiled sarcastically

"Here, keep it" she said handing me something imaginary, I raised my eyebrows, "it's your nose, I found it in my business" she spoke, I glared at her

"It's really not your problem whether I have any purpose in life or not, I am useful enough, you don't have to worry about it. And I think you should really think about your time than mine, because everywhere I go, you are there. Don't you have any work to do?" She taunted me, then she turned around to leave, but I stopped her

"Why were you at the coffee shop so late at night?" I asked, she turned her face towards me

"Are you stalking me now?"

"Not as yet, but I might" I walked closer to her, "this is the last time I'm telling you, start behaving before I really talk to dadi. Now go home" I said in an authoritative voice

"Your empty threats won't work everytime" she crossed her arms at her chest

"Not at all empty, if you want I can show you how serious I am right now" I said pointing at the shop dadi was in.

She looked at the direction I pointed at, her eyes widened when she saw dadi, she looked nervous, I smirked

"What happened? Still think I give empty threats? Fine I'll just tell her right now" I turned to walk away

"Izhaan" she called, I stopped

"Yeah?" I asked

"Don't, please" she said meekly

"Go home, right now" I said, I saw her clenching her fist

"Why do you want me to go home? I came here for some work"

"Fine, finish it off" she was about to turn her back, "but no more late night outs" I spoke, she was about to walk, but I spoke again, "and try to do something productive"  without saying anything she walked away.

"This girl will be the death of me" I shook my head

I kept looking at her back till she disappeared in the crowd. I will seriously have to do something about her, if I was not afraid of dadi getting hurt, I would have told her everything long time ago.

Ayesha's pov
.

I knocked on the door and waited for the permission to enter

"Come in" Baba said, I entered my father's room.

"Did you call me?" I asked standing in a corner

"Yes. Please have a seat" he motioned towards a chair, I nodded and sat on it

"How is your packing going?" He asked

"It's almost completed" I replied

"Good. Because you have a flight tonight" he said, I just lightly nodded my head

"Are you upset with me?" He asked, i shook my head

"No baba, why would I be?"

"Because I would have got you out of this situation if I had tried" he gave me an apologetic smile

"I'm not upset about it"

"I know it is too much for you, to shift to a new place, and we don't even know for how long this internship would last, but beta, this is life. I didn't help you because I wanted you to fight your battles on your own" he sighed

"I understand"

"And one thing more I would really want you to always believe in yourself, no matter come what may, just don't lose faith from yourself"

"I will always follow your advice"

"You know what, I only got convinced to let you go because Khan Architect is a huge company, doing your internship there would look amazing on your CV, and ofcourse your degree is also very important."

"I am sure Khan must have seen your potential that is why he decided to hire you, one look at you and he must have realised that you are a genius that is why he was so adamant to have you work with him"

If only you know baba! Potential, my foot. Only god knows what his true intentions are about me, but I'm not letting him have an upper hand on me, he thinks he can win. Let me come to your company Mr Jerk, I will make you see stars even in the day time.

"That's all I wanted to talk about" baba said

"Ok" I nodded, I got up to leave, but stopped when he spoke

"And one more thing"

"Yes?"

"I will miss you too much. You are the life of this house" he said making me emotional, I was already feeling homesick and I have not even left as yet

"I will miss you too" I said. He got up and opened his arms, I happily walked in them, he wrapped me in a hug

"You are my lioness, go let the whole world know how loud your roar is" he patted my back. I smiled wide.

"Since today is your last day here, let's go out for lunch" he offered

"I was thinking I will make lunch today" I replied

"Even better" he grinned

I went out of the room and went straight to the kitchen where my mumma was chopping fruits.

"Mumma I have told baba that I will make lunch today" i announced, her eyes widened in surprise

"Really? Will you?"

"Yes"

"Amazing. So, what will you make?"

"Something very tasty. Could you please help me a little"

"Of course beta!" I held her shoulders and made her sit on the chair

"Ok, so you sit and relax. I will do all the work" I said, she beamed in excitement

I opened the freezer and took out meat from there, I gagged looking at it. It looks so good when cooked, but right now the sight is making me nauseous

I took the packet to the wash sink and put the meat in a strainer to wash, I didn't even feel like touching it.

"Ummm mumma! Bas yeh dho dijiye baqi mai kar lungi (just wash this, I'll take care of the rest)" I said, she smiled and immediately came to my side

She taught me how to clean and wash meat, after that she went back to sit on the chair.

I didn't want mumma to put any effort that is why I took out a recipe from online. And was following the instructions from there

Heat oil in an open vessel and add cardamom and cloves in it.

I went to take the oil but got confused when saw so many bottles there.

"Mumma which one should I use?" I asked, she pointed at the bottle in the corner. I poured oil then was about to add another ingredient when mumma stopped me

"That's a lot. Just put 2-3" she instructed

"Oops. Thanks" I put 3-4 only

Next I had to cut onion and then fry it. But it had to be cut in equal size, I had a feeling I was messing it

"Mumma can you please chop the onions, I will fry it then" I asked for help

"Sure beta"

She chopped it and then added to the vessel. Now it was time to fry.

"You go sit, I will do it" I took the ladle from her hand and began stirring. My phone rang it was a call from my baby

"Please fry it, I'm coming in two minutes" I said and left from there

"Hey" I answered the call

"What time is your flight landing?" An excited voice asked, I smiled

"Exactly at the same time that I told you this morning and last night"

"Oh! What should I do I can't hold my excitement. I still can't believe you are really coming"

"The best part about coming to Delhi is you only, to be honest I was quite tired of this long distance thing"

"Me too baby. Finally we will be infront of each other in real"

"Yeah finally" I smiled

"Ayesha onions are fried" mumma called me

"Hold down a second babe" I said over the phone and ran to the kitchen, I read all the instructions and told mumma about it, then i left again

"I am making lunch today" I informed

"That's amazing. You would make really yummy food"

We continued talking, but sadly we had to stop since the battery in my phone ran out.

I will finally meet my baby, my soulmate, my everything tonight. I can't hold my excitement.

Atleast I found some positivity in Mr Khan's vicious plan.

A sweet aroma hit my nostrils when I reached the kitchen, mumma was taking out the delicious looking food in the casserole.

I took the spoon and tasted a bit.

"Hmm" I moaned, "I made it so well" I complimented myself, don't know why mumma glared at me

"You? Really?"

"Yeah! Me! Otherwise who?" I asked not understanding what she meant

"You have been announcing that you will make lunch, but I ended up making it" she said, and I frowned in confusion.

"I have made it Mumma, you have just helped me a little bit" I said. She huffed and shouted

"Go out of my kitchen right now"

"Ok ok relax. I still have to make chapattis"

"I will not help you in this"

"Don't worry, I know how to make it, you just sit and relax"

I began to look for flour and luckily found it soon, then I put some in a wide dish and added water, but by mistake I added to much water, then I added more dry flour, but then it was too dry I had to add more water, but then it got too runny

I looked at my mother and smiled sheepishly.

"GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN, AYESHA" she shouted making me run far away.

I don't understand these mothers sometimes.

*****

"Enough yaar mumma" I said huffing, we've been standing outside the airport and my mother has been reciting verse from Qur'an and blowing air on me for past 15 minutes

"Ya Allah please keep my daughter safe" she said looking up at the sky

"Baba! May i go now?" I asked looking at my father, before he could reply mumma held me and made me look at her

"Don't get into unnecessary fights, whenever there is even a slight chance of a fight, run away" she advised, I gasped dramatically.

"Me? And fight? What are you talking?" I asked

"Ayesha! I'm serious" she narrowed her eyes at me. I threw my hands in the air as if I was surrendering myself.

I never fight with people, but I don't know why I have a very bad image, even my own mother says that if possible I would fight with the wind around me, unbelievable right?

"Take care beta, and call me if you need anything" baba said making me look at him, i smiled at him and nodded my head

"Don't eat anything on plane" mumma shook her head

"It's just an hour flight, I'm sure I can survive without eating" I winked at her, she lightly smacked my arm. I hugged her

"I'm gonna miss you" she said while sniffing, she was crying

Damn you Mr Khan for making my mother cry.

"I will miss you too" I said, "I should go now, it's getting late"

"Make us proud" papa patted my head

"Surely I will" I said confidently

"Ok bye guys, I'm going" I quickly left .

****

Finally I landed at Delhi airport. I couldn't wait to go out. I collected my luggage and put it in the trolley. I pushed my trolley and came out, my eyes were desperately searching for my baby.

"Ayeshhaaaaaa" I heard a voice coming from afar, I turned and screamed in excitement of seeing someone I missed so dearly.

My luggage was long forgotten. I ran in full speed and literally jumped in baby's arms, we both fell down. People around us were looking at us like they were looking at some retards, but we didn't mind at all. We both were giggling loudly.

"Oh baby! I missed you so much" I said

"I missed you too Gabbar, so so much"

"Let's get you home. Where is your luggage?" after a while of being on the floor, we both got up

"Oh God! My luggage! Where is it?" I said looking around, then I finally spotted it, "oh here it is! You wait, I'll get it" I said pointing at my discarded trolley, I held it, just when I pushed from somewhere some guy came and hit it, I glared at him

"Hey you! Are you blind?" I shouted

"Sorry ma'am! I didn't see you there" he apologized, "but thank god you did not get hurt" this made me raise my eyebrows

"What do you mean "I did not get hurt" was that your intention?" I took a step towards him in anger, a few people gathered around us, he looked around

"What a crazy girl you are! I'm saying I am sorry and yet you are shouting at me" he said, I gasped loudly and clapped

"Wow, just wow! First you tried to hurt me, then you called me crazy, and now you are accusing me of shouting. How dare you?"

The guy ran off so quickly I thought he would beat flash.

"What?" I asked the people who were crowding me, they immediately dispersed

I turned around and found baby smirking at me with a head shake

"What?" I asked

"Gabbar is back"
