Hello lovely readers, I am back with another update after long. From the next chapter onwards it's going to be their wedding. Emotions will be high, drama will be there. Aadhya took one last look at herself in front of the mirror and walked out of the house paying no heed to her brother and father who were hooting and whistling. She placed both her hands on her heart that acted as if it would jump out of her chest any moment.
She got in to the car and checked if things were in order and requested the driver to start the car. She felt her medical examination viva would be lot easier than this. It did not take much time to convince the people concerned but she wasn't confident if the person for whom she was doing all this would appreciate. She was warned of a couple of things that she would have to face, if she were to go with the plan but she wanted to do this for him , for them.
They had arrived just in time. His personal assistant, Kartik also called her to let him know that the flight had landed. She once again felt those butterflies. They hadn't met after that day. He had to go to Germany for some official work and she had missed him dearly. They talked but the calls were short because their schedule was screwed up and she decided to do this.
Just then she saw him walking towards the car with jacket on his left arm , his tie loose and his hair messed up. She felt her throat go dry all of a sudden. She couldn't bring herself to justify how good did he look when he was tired. He simply looked more handsome.
As he walked towards his car, the air around him felt different. He could clearly sense something. A good something. Nothing looked off as such. His driver as usual was waiting by his car and usually he would be waiting to open the door but this time around he was standing in front of the door. But that was something so insignificant he thought. Nevertheless, he allowed a few photos of his to be clicked and rushed ahead.
She was sitting in the car leaning against the door giving him a full view as soon as the door opened. He felt everything around him come to a standstill. He even thought he was imagining things. He felt like a love sick puppy when he was in Germany but that helped him finished his work soon. Reason being he wanted to get back around her as soon as possible.
"Sir" the driver called out to him.
He was forced to get rid of his thoughts by his driver but he had no reason to yell at him. He mentally thanked his driver for being sensible and stepped foot in to the car. He heard the camera clicks and all the flashes almost blinding her eyes but she paid no heed to them. All her eyes were trained on him. It was as if she was memorising his face. He closed the door quickly and pulled her towards him.
"Tum" he asked surprised.
"Why is that a surprise Nanda ?" She asked and made herself comfortable next to him.
"Then you need to know that I don't mind being surprised" he said and felt her getting cozy.
She leaned against him and entwined her hand with his in return.
"Iraada kya hai ?(what's the plan)" he asked and tucked her fringes behind her ear.
"Waise tum soch rahi ho jaisa Kuch nahi hai (not what you are thinking" she replied and peeled herself from him as she remembered something.
She took out a cup of piping hot coffee and settled back to her old position after thrusting the cup in his hands.
Not that he needed caffeine at the moment but he did not mind a cup of coffee. Right now her presence was the kind of caffeine he needed. He never liked his family coming to airport but this one time he was rather stumped. He wouldn't want her every time waiting for him like the way she did but today he wanted the time to stop around him. She was everything he ever wanted.
He looked down at her and found her sleeping. He called out her name but she was too deep in sleep to respond. He positioned his head over hers and pulled her sleeping form closer to him if it was any possible and closed his eyes after instructing the driver.
The car came to a halt and both of them woke up from their nap only to find the car parked in front of her house. She initially protested to get down and apologised for sleeping instead of spending time with him. He placed his finger on her lips and stopped her from talking any further.
"We have our whole life to talk. This was more than perfect" he said and placed a quick kiss on her hair.
" But can we drop you first ?" She asked.
"I might do anything if you ask me anything this way but no" he said and opened the car's lock.
"Har baat pe gentleman ban na hai kya (why do you want to be a gentleman every time ?)" she asked playing with the edge of his tie.
"Har baat pe nahi bas tere liye (not every time but only for you)" he replied and winked at her.
She pulled his tie to pull him towards her and cupped his face and pressed her lips against his. She kissed his lips feverishly and pushed him away from her. She quickly opened the door after and ran out. He followed her out through the other door and caught her by her wrist. He pulled her towards him and she came crashing on his chest.
"Remember to finish what you started next time. " he said and kissed her cheek for one last time before heading back home.
Two days later :
Yet another party was thrown by the Nandas but this time around the Chopras were also the hosts. The evening was a buzz with the elites, paparazzi, gossip and romance. Nandas definitely loved their fame and the PR of Chopras had taken the party to next level.
Shraddha, Aadhya and a few friends among their common circle found a quiet corner to chat away. The Nanda brothers had been the centre of attraction as always and this time Rohan the heir of Chopras , a successful doctor and an eligible bachelor was one of the most sought person by the mamas and the eligible ladies who were dressed for the moment. That meant Preeti Chopra was busy.
The party was well underway when Gautam Chopra and Anand Nanda moved to the centre with champagne in their hands. All of them had their attention towards them and sudden silence enveloped the party.
"Now that we have your attention, raise your glass for Avinash Nanda and Aadhya Chopra who will be tied in a beautiful bond for eternity later this month"
She had waited for this moment since the time the party started and now that it was over a sense of relief washed her body. She did not know the imaginary breath she was holding on to. It was a similar pompous evening that ruined a lot for her. She had managed to be graceful before everybody but today was different. She was afraid to even stand alone for a minute but she couldn't ask anybody to stand with her. For once she did not mind those camera flashes blinding her eyes. Meanwhile, she did not realise how tight her grip on Avinash's hand grew. Not that he cared but it bothered him. He saw how lost she stood. It was like she was standing in a party of her own.
"Is everything ok ?" Avinash whispered in her ears.
She just nodded her head in reply and managed to hold herself well. He knew whisking her away at this very moment was next to impossible. They were going to be bombarded with people and their absence would draw unwanted attention. He knew she was lying. He wrapped an arm around her and held her next to him. He cared nothing for the invitees and she slowly began to calm down with him.
He was standing by the bar counter and having his third drink for the day. He had a good tolerance limit but that meant he was going to be nursing his headache for a day or two He was pulled by some business associates but time to time he had his eyes on the crowd for his fiancée. Hosting such parties were never going to be easy he concluded. She was walking past him just then with a drink in her hand. He was quick enough to call her and have her attention
"Meet Aadhya, Anshul" he introduced her to one of his friends and business partner.
She glared at him for pulling her in to some boring conversation he was having. She was having some good time with her friends. But this man was never going to let her be by herself for the rest of the evening.
The guy let the couple be by themselves after having spend a few minutes with them. She was just about to leave but was pulled by him again
"Where are you running away ?" He asked sipping the whiskey.
"I have my friends here too" she said trying to take his hands off her. Well his hand wasn't just resting on her. He was sensually moving his hand along the side of her body and the dress that was hugging her body like a second skin was not helping her much. She held on to his hand firmly and placed it on her waist and glared at him before he could make any more attempts.
After standing by his side for a few more minutes she walked away from him but he pulled her back to him
"Theek ho tum" he asked and she did not fail to notice the concern on his face.
She was a mess once again. The butterflies were back and her heart began thudding as if it was audible to the person standing next to her. She swallowed the lump in her throat and said a "yes" rather whispered.
"Phir jao" he said and placed a long kiss on her cheek before letting her go.
"Damn you Avinash Nanda" she yelled in her mind and walked away from him blushing.
