Being in a long distance relationship is hard for many. I've been in one for god knows how long. The only exciting thing about it is when you both finally see each other after months or a year of being apart.
I'm living in Shenzhen china right now with my best friend Jun while my lovely girlfriend is in Anyang South Korea. We are both studying for a bright future. although we wanted to study in the same college, our dream drifted away because of her parents deciding to get her a scholarship. She got accepted in KAIST university since she studies really hard. For those who doesn't know, KAIST is one of the biggest universities in the country. Like Harvard. The US has Harvard, they have KAIST.
Anyways, I'm currently going to Anyang for the first time to surprise my girlfriend. It's my first time going to Korea so expect me to ask for directions.
I just got off the plane and Mingyu, Y/n's brother is gonna help me get to Anyang. I'm here in Incheon national airport because... Meh.
"Myungho-ssi!!" Mingyu runs to me.
Don't get me wrong, Mingyu and I are the same age. I just happen to be more mature than him.
"Oh, hello Mingyu-ssi!"
It's also my first time seeing her brother, Y/n comes to China instead of me going to her place. He's so... Tall...
"Woah... I didn't expect you to be this tall. You're like a bean pole."
"I get that all the time. It's pretty much a compliment. It's also a pity because my sister is short."
"Alright... Let's go get my bags." I pat him on the back.
I never knew I would learn Korean because I lived in china my whole life. I didn't expect to come to any countries aside from Hong Kong or Taiwan. How me and Y/n met was in a fair when I was in 4th year highschool. Their school had a field trip to visit Shenzhen, they didn't come to our school but we bumped into each other inside a fair. The first time I saw her, I wasn't really into women at the time but damn, she looked so pretty. I said sorry but she didn't understand what I meant and said "sorry" in Korean. Lucky for me, a friend of mine, Jun spoke Korean because he took Korean lessons. We happened to bump into each other for a few times when we were there so we became friends after that. We exchanged numbers and not so long after, 9 months they came back to China and I officially asked her to be my girlfriend.
"This is yours right?" Mingyu asked me.
"Yup, let's go." I picked it up.
We loaded the car with my bags and went off to Anyang. The reason why I never went to other countries is that I'm scared to be stranded or lost. Fortunately Mingyu has my back.
"So Mingyu-ssi, where is Anyang."
"You know where Gangnam is, right?"
"I know the place but I don't know where exactly."
"Anyang is just under the Gangnam. Here, Korea, Gangnam, Anyang." He spoke in English.
"I didn't understand a single bit."
"Oh. Sorry."
I'm not poor or average, my mom owns a mall in China, my father owns the fair I mentioned earlier. I never wanted to go to other countries just because. I have a valid excuse okay!

We finally made it to Anyang but Y/n is not here in their house. I finally met her parents and brother but she isn't here. Gosh...
"I guess I'll go out for a while?"
"Hmm, come back before sundown. Y/n's gonna be here." Her mother nods.
"Yes mom, I'll be back soon!" I said.
When I got out the car, I took out my phone to track her. Oh, I didn't mention connecting a tracker to her phone? HAHAHAH shit... So the GPS says that she's near a street called... *****....? What kind of street name is that? Okay let's go!!
WHERE THE HELL IS SHE??!! I'VE ROAMED AROUND THE CITY SEARCHING FOR THIS STREET NAMED AFTER A FETISH FOR 6 FUCKING HOURS BUT GEEZ I CAN'T EVEN GET THERE! I've asked countless people for directions but they keep saying "Oh it's right around the corner." WHEN IS THIS STRAIGHT LINE GONNA GO TO THE LEFT?! I also realized that it's this hot. Why did I bother coming here at a hot summer day?
Y/n's Point of view
"I can't believe you're leaving for month. What's so great about china? You always go there!!" Joy whines.
I can't believe I told her about my holiday to China. Sooyoung is the type that is stubborn as hell but she's a great friend if you ask me.
"She already told you that she's leaving for her lover boy~" Yeri teases me.
"Hey we haven't seen each other for a year now! If my dad didn't get me a scholarship, I would've moved with Myungho a few years back." I said.
"Did you tell your parents that you're going to China tho? I don't think they know about this. It's nerve wracking..." Seulgi looks around while holding her hands.
"Nope, if I told my parents that I'm going to China, I'd be dead by now. I went there for over 18 times now and kept using by brother's credit card to pay for stuff so why would they say yes?"
"What if they find out about you going to China?"
"I'm gonna be gone for a week, Sooyoung. I already told them earlier that I'm going with some friends at a school field trip. Well, I don't know if they read my text."
"Then you're not going, unni!" Yeri pulls me.
"Don't be ridiculous Kim Yerim. It's only for a week."
A taxi finally pulls up right in front of them. I get inside with my girlfriends and the driver loads the trunk with all of her bags.
"The bus station to Incheon."
"I thought you're gonna take the plane here." Seulgi looks at me.
"No, Incheon national airport is waaayy cheaper." I said.
We finally took off, the three of them went hysterical for my leave. I mean, it's not like I'm gonna leave forever.
"And remember when she first met Myungho? That dude was literally like "uhh..." Like oh my gosh, gladly his friend was there and translated everything for them. Yeri says.
"Too bad that we didn't see him. Not even once." Seulgi pouts
"Okay we get it! Y/n has a boyfriend, happy??"
"Are you jealous because crush didn't respond to to your confession yet?" I pushed Joy.
"Joy, babe what do you see in that guy? He's a fucking menace and is a frat boy." Yeri asked
"He's hot, duh." Joy answers.
"STOP THE CAR!" Seulgi yells.
The car stopped right away but even it did, we heard a bump near the hood.
"D-did we hit someone?" Joy gets out.
We all got out to see who we hit. It was a guy, laying on the ground holding his foot, he tuned to our directon and to my shock it was
"Myungho...?" Yeri holds his mouth.
"Myungho-yah..." I said.
"Argh... Surprise...?"
"H-hes... HOT!!" Seulgi jumps.
"Crush who?"
"Yah, both of you. Get lost." I said.

Myungho's Point of view.
"Why'd you have to come to Korea?? I was gonna surprise you!" Y/n treats my wound.
"Babe, I didn't want you to come over again because I don't feel so much of a gentleman when I'm waiting for my woman to come!" I complained.
"How sweet~" the girl named after an expression looks at us.
"Oh I wish I was you, Y/n." The Korean girl peeks at us too.
"Okay you two, let's go upstairs and get the guest room ready for Myungho." Yeri or Yeti or how do you say her name pushes them up the stairs.
"Ouch!"
"Hey!!"
"How rude. Tsk." Small eyed girl says in defeat.
The three of them goes upstairs leaving me and Y/n in the living room.
"How can you be so ignorant about the light?? It was still yellow!" She puts alcohol on my shin.
"Ouch! I'd didn't know that it was different from here and china! Yellow means slow down."
"Well in Korea it means speed up! I can't even argue with you." She puts away her first aid kit.
While she goes to the kitchen to put it back, fixed my sitting position.
"But babe, aren't you happy to see me? It's been a year since we last saw each other in real life."
"Of course I am. I was gonna go to China to see you. besides, my parents knew about it."
"They told me that you're gonna come home before sun down. And what if I didn't get hit by that car? You would've been in China right now while I'm here waiting for you in Korea."
"You're so blunt Myungho-yah." She rolls her eyes. "I would've risked going to China than you getting hit on the leg by a taxi. Thank goodness that it wasn't that big of an injury. If my parents find out that you're hurt I wouldn't be allowed to come back home."
"I'm hungry let's go eat."
"You're so off topic. But yeah I'm getting hungry it's already 6:45."
"Woah it is?? I didn't realize that I roamed the city for over 3 hours."
Both of us went out to eat dinner at a fine restaurant which I payed for. After leaving that behind we went to a near shore.
"Isn't the sea cute? Ooh look at the pretty shell!" She says and runs to the shore.
I cannot run due to my current situation. While putting all my attention at my lovely girlfriend curiously picking up the seashells, my phone rang.
"Yes Mingyu-ssi?" I answered the phone.
"It's already getting late, where are you? We got a text from Y/n that she's going off for a road trip with her friends."
"She's with me, don't worry I'll bring back your baby sis tomorrow." I smiled.
"Oh? She's with you? I thought she's with her friends."
"I told you don't worry about it brother in law, we'll be home tomorrow." I hung up.
As I put down the phone and back to my pocket, I looked around not seeing my girlfriend. Damn this girl... Where is she? I looked around trying to find her. The shore, the nearby food stands and the kids. She's nowhere to be found geez... I saw a sign saying "Warning: falling debris ahead." I looked down and see footprints so I entered and walked through the cliff, the farther I walked a shadow grew bigger. There she is, I walked up to her back and gave her a bear hug.
"Aww I missed you!" I got up to sit down next to her.
"How'd you know I was here?"
I sat down "Baby, because I know we're written in the stars." I smiled at her.
"Ey you're so cheeky, whatever!"
"But it's true!" I tackled her.
"Hey!! Stop it!"
I tickled her to the floor making her laugh and lay on the rock ground. I finally stopped and also layed next to her placing my arm under her head.
"The sky is so pretty, like you." I looked at the stars.
"Myungho-yah, how do you know that we're written in the stars?"
"I just looked up to see constellations, but the only thing I saw is your face and mine so I followed it and it led me here."
"What a great made up story." She laughs.
"Shut up!" I kissed her on the lips.
