Phil's POV
After about an hour we were still talking and telling each other how much we missed.
At some point she hugged me tightly and with her head pushed towards my chest she whispered
"I missed you so much"
"So I did Ellie" I said
Damn, it's been too long since I've felt like this. It had been so long since I had her in my arms, after so many years I finally felt happy. She then pulled away and sai while looking me in the eyes
"Don't you dare to disappear like this again, I don't wanna feel bad anymore"
"I won't" I replied to make her feel a bit better as I saw her eyes starting to get wet
Then it grew the silence, for like five minutes we didn't talk but just stared at each other, like it was the first time we met. At the end she broke that silence
"So weren't you dead?" She asked me
"Well- it's a long story. . ." I replied but she wanted to know something more than that
"Ok so just tell me the essential things" She said
"Ok, when I got shot I just fainted from the pain" I replied
"How can this be possible? You were shot at the chest!" She said being incredulous
"Well they shot me at the shoulder, not at the chest as it seemed, so I stayed alive" And then I added
"I hope you didn't forget me after that moment"
"How can I forget you, you've been and you are really important for me" She said
After saying that the silence grew, so I asked her breaking that awkward silence
"Do you know where can I find a place for tonight?"
"Well- why don't you stay here with me?" She replied
"If you say so, I stay here then!" I said
---Time Skip---
Ellie's POV
Finally I saw Phil once again, I really thought he was dead, but fortunately he wasn't.
After I told him he could stay with me for the night he seemed so happy, and I was so excited to stay there with him. I was sitting in the bed and it was almost an hour that he entered the bathroom to take a shower, but after I thought that I heard him saying
"Ellie?"
"Yeah, what is it?" I said
"Well- it's a bit embarrassing to ask but, would you have any clothes to lend me?" He said
"Uhm- yeah sure, I'm gonna look for them right now" I replied
I went to my dresser and took a pair of jeans that were too big for me, a grey t-shirt and a olive green hoodie. That was everything I could find so I didn't know if was ok for him
I went back to the bathroom door and said
"Phil?"
"Yeah Ellie?" He replied
"I got some clothes for you but, I don't know if you like them" I said
"There's no problem, just pass me the pants first" He said opening the door just enough to pass his hand and take the pants, then he closed the door again.
After a while I was leaned on the wall waiting for him to get out of the bathroom, and then he said
"Ok Ellie, just promise me you'll not laugh at me now"
"I promise I won't" I said
Phil's POV
I opened the door and walked out of the bathroom while she was watching me and said
"They're not that bad on you!"
"Really? I thought you were going to make fun of me" I said surprised, but she started laughing softly and her face getting a bit red, then I noticed that I was shirtless
"Oh sorry, I didn't notice" I said
"It's ok, just put your shirt on now" She said a bit embarrassed handing me a t-shirt
I put it on and then she sat on her bed taking her guitar
"Come here, sit!" She said
I did as she asked and sat next to her
"Take it" She handed me her guitar
"You know, when I entered your room that's the first thing that made me think about you" I said taking the guitar and putting it over my leg
"So what were you singing before?" She asked
"Did you hear me singing? God that's so embarrassing!" I said getting a bit red in my face
"Yeah, and it wasn't that bad" She replied and then added
"Why don't you sing it again?"
"Are you sure you want hear me singing?" I asked her a bit nervous
"Yeah why not, what I heard was good" She said, so I started singing
"Talking away
I don't know what I'm to say
I'll say it anyway
Today is another day to find you

After that her eyes watered as she hugged me, so I hugged her back saying
"What is it Ellie?"
She didn't answer so we stayed in silence for a while before her pulling me away and asking me
"Where did you learned that song?"
"My dad taught me a long time ago, he used to play it on his Piano" I said
"So can you also play the piano?" She asked
"Yeah. . ." I didn't say to much while thinking of my dad
"Good, when I'll see a piano I'll make you sing something" She replied
"Yeah, sure" I said, then she added
"And someday you're gonna tell me about your dad"
"Yeah someday I will" I said with my eyes watering up
She stared at me with a sweet look and wiped out my tears then said
"Well- how about we go to dinner now?"
"Yeah that's cool" I replied
"Good, 'cause there are Joel, Tommy and Maria waiting for us" She said
Then I put on the hoodie Ellie gave me and we headed to Maria's house for dinner. After some walking we arrived at Maria's house and Ellie knocked on the door
"Maria, I'm Ellie" She said
Tommy then opened the door and let us in, Joel was already inside and both him and Tommy gasped
"You've gotta be kidding me!" Joel said adding
"Phil are you alive? Come here, I thought you were dead!"
I went towards Joel to greet him as Ellie said
"He wasn't dead, I told you, we could have taken him with us"
"Yeah I know, you were right, but now it doesn't make any sense to discuss about this" Joel replied
He hugged me and so Tommy did, after it we took a seat waiting for the dinner and in the while we waited we started to talk.

After the dinner me and Ellie greeted the others and we were heading back to her room, I felt something taking my hand and it was her hand on mine.
"So you liked the surprise?" I asked her
"That's more than a surprise" She replied
"What do we do now?" I said not knowing Jackson lifestyle
"I'm a bit tired, what if we go to sleep?" She said
"So am I, sounds good" I replied
We got back to her room and prepared to go sleeping. After lying on the bed she put herself closer to me saying
"It was a beautiful day, thank you"
"Not as beautiful as you" I said causing her to get a bit red
We started cuddling each other and then we fell asleep.
In the middle of the night I woke up to drink some water, I saw her sleeping and thought she was really beautiful. I think she noticed that I wasn't there even if she was dreaming
I was about to get back to sleep when she started to cry and saying my name, thought she was having a nightmare, so I hugged her causing her to wake up but she was still crying.
So I hugged her and I felt that she was shaking, so I told her
"Hey hey, everything's fine, I'm here"
She tightened her grip on me and almost stopped crying but with her eyes still watered.
"Sorry if I woke you up" She said looking at me
"Don't worry, I was just about to put myself back to sleep"
Then she looked at my t-shirt and saw that it was wet with her tears
"Oh shit I'm sorry" She said trying to wipe them off
I took her hands and kissed her forehead, then we laid in bed facing each other as I wiped the tears off from her cheeks, in that moment she smiled at me and said
"I always have this kind of nightmares where I find out that you are dead and I feel alone"
"Don't worry, I'm here with you now, I'm alive and I'm never gonna leave you alone. I promise." I said causing her to hug me and we both fell asleep that way.
