* It was a rainy day, and after searching for a while, you finally found Jackson city.
Phil's POV
"What a view!" I exclaimed seeing all the mountains behind the city.
They had white tops because of the snow but with the rain the visibility was not that great, and I remembered that I was looking for the city.
"Finally I found it!" I thought between mysel
"Now I just have to get to the entrance." I said, still thinking in my head
I had in fact seen the city from a rocky promontory, so I had to make my way through the woods to reach the entrance to the city.
"Ok there aren't other ways so let's cut trough the woods" I said taking out my gun from its holster
With my gun ready to shoot I got down the woods, being careful to not make much noise as it would have attracted the infected
"God rain it's getting heavier now! I got to go faster than this." I said, almost surprised of that
I was getting soaked with all that rain, I had to move as soon as possible so I tried to speed up my steps, but I was almost falling and I didn't want to hurt myself so I was careful where I put my feet, avoiding rocks, stones, roots and so on.
It was 7:30 p.m. when I saw Jackson and got down the woods, but after a bit of time walking, I lost cognition of time.
"Remember who you're doing it for" I thought
Damn, I really can't stop thinking about her or forget her, even after so many years.
I wonder what she will think when she sees me come back
"How the fuck are you still alive?" I said imitating her voice
But then I thought about what time it might be and saw the sun going down, so I guess it was at least 8:30 p.m.
"The sun is going down, damn! I must go faster if I don't want to stay in these woods for all night long." I said
So I walked faster trying to reach the entrance as soon as possible to not get stuck in the woods for the night.
"Almost there!" I said as I started to see some artificial lights over the end of the woods
But as soon as I was finding an exit from that woods, I saw a cliff right in front of me
"Fuck! And now?" I said worried
So I looked around me and decided to descend from a rock wall next to me.
"If I jump down that drop I'm just trying to kill myself, but either climbing down that wall I would get hurt so fuck it!" I said beginning to climb down that rock wall
"Don't look down man." I whispered at myself
The first half of the descent was quite ok, I was almost getting the hang of it; but as soon as I relaxed a bit some rocks started to fall to the ground
"Shit!" I said trying to cover my face from all the dirt and dust that were falling down with the rocks
After some struggle I finally made it and got down that damned thing
"I will never do anything like this again, fuck it" I thought as I looked back to see what I climbed
Now there was only one simple piece of trail to do on foot, so I kept walking straight to where I thought there was the gate of the city.
In the meantime rain got lighter, and I was drying up a bit, but my feet were still soaked wet since before.
I had almost finished that trail when I heard some clicks, I turned around and saw a bunch of infects, but they didn't see me at first.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me!" I said in a lower voice, just to not attract the infects where I was
I tried to get around them, but I stepped on some dry leaves and one of them heard me so all the others started to run towards me, and I had to take them out.
They were 5 or 6 so it wasn't that difficult, I just hoped that no one heard me shoot or it would have been problems
Finally I did it, I saw the gate and I thought
'Jesus Christ that was tough to get here but finally I'm here'
But as soon as I got close to the entrance I got guns pointed right at me
