TW: Verbal and physical abuse, non-consensual drug administration, graphic violence

2 years Later..

---

A cage.

That's where you've been kept for the past two years awaiting trial, though you didn't know it had been that long  because you currently have no sense of time.

No visitors.

No other prisoners.

No phone calls.

Nothing.

All you have on? a gray jumpsuit and a shock collar that prevents you from using your cursed energy, not like you could  use it anyway , and you weren't even sure if you could use your powers after what happened.

You remember very little  of what happened after you expanded your domain, and the only thing  that you do remember is flashes of blood splatters. It's not something you want to remember anyways, but the flashes for some reason only come whenever you're getting beaten by the detectives guards who are sent to question you.

You get fed once a day, and you get beaten by the guards for answers twice in  a day every three days and at this point you're kind of used to it. The physical pain is becoming numbing and you're starting to think that maybe you're immune to punches and any other kind of physical abuse so you barely even react anymore.

You once got beaten so bad, that you hallucinated seeing Gojo and Maki watching you and praising the guards for torturing you, and that hurts you more than anything else.

A shower here? Getting sprayed by an ice cold fire hose. That's the only time  that you're able to  shower and have something to drink.

Sometimes there would be blank spots in certain memories. You'd try to remember certain days to keep track of time, but certain memories would just have blocks of darkness that you couldn't remember and you had no idea why.

The day you woke up, you thought that you had only been in the hospital for a night, but you quickly found out that you had been knocked out for two weeks under a heavy coma and that your chances of survival were low, yet somehow you made it out.

There was no corny dream or godly experience that you had while you were out. It was all just darkness and occasional beeping and voices but they were too muffled and far away to be able to tell who the voices belonged to.

A while after waking up and speaking to the doctor he rushed in to tell you that the cops were looking for you, you were confused as to why they were looking for you until you remembered that Mai had said the police had been informed of what you did. You tried your best to flee the hospital but it was useless, your body was too weak and once you were found they immediately sedated you.

Cold sweat pours down your face and your body shivers from the cold that dances around in the cement cage. The chains that are holding your arms up rattle every time you make a move. You've given up on trying to move and much less escape, but sometimes your body jolts suddenly almost as if it's trying to keep you awake and alive.

most days a small part of you wants to stay alive and fight, it wants to escape and show the world that you're innocent, but the other part of you is content with dying right now.

You've had a shitty life since you can remember. Although you had it better in college, life before that was cold, lonely and miserable so what could ever make you think that your death would be any different? You felt stupid for thinking otherwise, stupid to the point where you slightly chuckled.

During your time here you've had a lot of free time, not that you could do anything else but you spent most of your time thinking and sometimes even reminiscing. You'd spend some days thinking about Gojo and Maki, and how much fun you guys used to have especially when all three of you would go watch horror movies which Gojo secretly hated.

Other times you'd sit and think of Ryo or Sukuna, whatever his name was. You thought about how much he ruined your life ever since he step foot in it and how you fell for someone you thought at least had a soft spot for you. Most times you'd ask yourself how the hell you fell for someone within weeks of  barely knowing them and you realize it must've happened because you were itching to get over Satoru which evidently lead you to falling for a fucking curse.

The sound of clanking and loud metal thuds echoes through the cold hell interrupting your thinking and , letting you know that the guards are here again. Probably to beat you for the fourth time this week. The doors slide open roughly and you don't even bother to look up at the guards.

"Prisoner. You have a visitor" The guard says to you, but you're too delirious from the daily beat downs that you don't hear him.

You're also too delirious to process what the guard just said. A visitor? You weren't allowed to have those. Who would want to visit you anyways? You wonder.

"I said, you have a visitor bitch!" he growls kicking you in the stomach.

You jolt forward at the pain and let out a small groan, the action of you groaning makes the cut on your lip that was healing open and start bleeding again, but there's nothing you can do but endure the sharp pain.

"Okay" you whisper.

"You will be taken to the visitation room" he says unlocking the chains on your wrists.

Your arms immediately fall beside you when they're free from the restraints. A sharp and sore pain rushes through them as your arms are usually always chained up, unless it's time to eat which you only get about five minutes for. The feeling of being free never fails to make you cry even if it's just for a few minutes.

"You try anything funny, we'll kill you" The guard says unlocking the chains off of your feet.

"You try to take the collar off? We kill you" the other one says.

"You look at us the wrong way ? We kill you" They chuckle.

"Do you understand?" They ask you.

"Yes" you whisper.

The guard raises his hand to strike you and you flinch making him laugh. "Speak up"

"Yes. I understand" you mutter shivering.

Both guards grab you by the arms to lift you up. You're still pretty weak in the legs but it's barely necessary to walk as they're basically dragging you down the dark hallway.

You look around subtly to see if you can identify any points of entry and exits but it's no use, there aren't signs anywhere and if even if there was you're too useless to escape you thought to yourself. "What would I even do if I escaped? Where would I even go?" You ask yourself as the tip of your toes are being dragged against the stone cold floor.

The guards stop in front of a steel door, one of them swipes their key card on the black pad near the door, the light shines green and the door quickly slides open revealing an all white room with one metal table in the middle of the room. There is one chair on each side of the table, and only one camera on the top left corner of the room with a small blinking red light at the top of it.

One of the guards pulls the chair out and slams you onto the seat, while the other yanks your hands towards the table and chains your wrists down to it so you don't move. After they are both assured that the chains are tight enough they both leave the room and shut the door behind them, making sure to lock it.

You sit in the room for what feels like hours, quietly looking down at your bruised and swollen hands that are decorated in dry blood from all of the times you've had to wipe your wounds from the torture you've received during your time here.

Yet instead of worrying about your hands and how you look, your eyes start to feel heavy. You don't remember the last time you have sat down comfortably. Truth be told this isn't the most comfortable seat but it's better than having your arms chained up above your head. Your head starts to fall forward as you feel yourself falling asleep when suddenly the door beeps and slides open.

"No touching. And no gifts, a search of the prisoner and visitor will be conducted before they are taken back to their cell to ensure that no items were accepted" The guard mutters before the door slams shut.

The chair across from you screeches against the floor as it's pulled out, Someone sits in front of you and calmly adjusts themselves but you don't look up. You don't have the strength nor the will power to want to talk to anybody.

At least that's how you feel until a familiar voice speaks to you. "Y/n" They whisper shakily. The sound of their voice makes you look up slowly, and you can't tell if you're hallucinating again or not when you see who it is.

Could it be the you're getting tortured again so badly to the point where your hallucinations are starting to feel real, so real that you can feel their warm touch on your hands.

"No" You mutter shutting your eyes tightly.

"You're not real". Your bleeding lip quivers, refusing to believe your swollen eyes that are filled with exhaustion and pain.

"What? I'm real. I'm here" They tell you squeezing your hands.

"I'm here Y/n, Look at me. I'm here"

But you still don't believe it. If it's not a hallucination it's a dream. It has to be. There's no way that it's all real.

"Am I  dead?" You mumble.

"Wha-No! look at me, It's me! I'm right here" They squeeze my hands tighter and pulls them closer to them, not that they can go very far without these chains making noise.

"You're alive and this is real, okay? I'm real-- this moment is real" She cries trying to convince you.

Her tears are from the sight of you. You look horrible, you don't even look like yourself. You're bruised all over the place, you have cuts all over your face and dry blood all over your hands and arms, you look completely out of it.

"What the fuck are they doing to you in here?" She says loudly with tears streaming from her eyes. "Y/n-look at me please" She begs.

You eyes are on her but they're empty and unrecognizable, Just like an empty shell. You aren't truly looking at her or seeing her because your delirium is coming back, your disorientation is getting worse from the exhaustion and you physically feel your body shutting down.

"It's me. It's Maki, your best friend" She holds my hand.

This isn't Maki. You think to yourself, Maki wouldn't come here to see you especially if she thinks that you did those things that people are accusing you of. You disappointed her and that's something that's unforgivable.

"It's me.. I promise it is"   She sobs.

"No" you mumble.

"Yes. Look at me, it's me y/n" she cries.

"It took me two years to convince them to come let me see you and they finally did" She holds your hands tightly.

This is the first time in two years that she's seen you awake and alive but it doesn't feel as good as she thought it would, because you don't even look like yourself.

She examines your hands and your forearms and notices some unusual bruises , bruises that could only be from  an injection of some sort.

The bruises worry her and she looks at her watch realizing that she doesn't have much time to explain to you what's going to be going down in a few days. After two years of basically begging the counsel to allow her to visit you, they  finally granted her a ten minute visit.

She's spent years trying to formulate a plan to get you out of here, but she has to quickly find a way to wake you up out of whatever trance you're in and make you react and comprehend her enough to remember what she's saying.

For now Nobara is outside waiting for Maki in the parking lot, but not only is she waiting for her she's also hacked into the prisons system to mess with the audio within the guards and wardens ear pieces so they won't hear a thing she's saying to you.

"Y/n" she touches your face. "listen to me, we are going to get you out of here but I need you to listen to me" she pleads with you in a whisper.

"Please listen to me, I'm real. This is all real, look!" She says bringing her wrist towards you. She jiggles her wrist in-front of you and suddenly your mind feels some sort of shock, making your eyes widen at the small charm you gave her when you first entered college as a token of your friendship.

The realization hits you but you're too confused to speak. It's Maki. It's really her, but why is she here? You're a criminal. You did horrible things, how could she still be here?

"It's you" you look at her, this time with some sort of emotion in your eyes, but you're still  not fully there.

"Yes, it's me" she smiles through tears. "I'm here"

"Why?" You say.

"Why ? Because I'm your best friend" she says examining your face.

"My best friend?" You ask her in a state of confusion still, you look around the room not remembering how you got there or where you are.

"Where are we?" You ask. "Maki what're you doing here?" You ask her in fear.

Maki's face twists in worry. You suddenly snapped out of whatever hypnosis like trance you were in and suddenly your confused about where you are. She doesn't understand what's going on but she decided that she has to quickly tell you what her plan is before she loses you again or it's time for you to go.

"You're in jail y/n but  you have to listen to me  carefully we have to get you out of here" She whispers loudly.

"Get me out?" You ask looking around at the bright white room.

"Yes, we have to get you out of here because they're planning on executing you in one week" She says quickly glancing at the camera in the room.

"Execute..." You trail off exhausted starting to feel yourself about to pass out.

"Yes execute--they're going to kill you, look at me- keep your eyes open" She slaps you gently a few times to keep your eyes open.

"I'm going to give you this small vial, and In 3 days I need you to drink it" She looks around.  "I need you to hide this well, I'll keep it until they conduct the search and then I'll slip it in your pocket okay? but whatever you do, don't lose it" She tells you.

"Drink.." you tilt your head.

"Yes 3 days, Drink." She repeats

"why..?" You whisper.

Maki goes quiet when you ask her why. She doesn't know if you're asking why you have to drink the vial, why she's helping you or why  you have to wait three days, but either question is not something that she wants to answer, especially not in the state that you're in.

"Because we have to kill you, to get you out of here" She says. "The vial has a substance that will knock you out -- I don't know why I'm even explaining this to you but it will slow down your pulse and they'll think you're dead then we'll handle the rest"

It takes you a moment for you  to process what she says. Your brain is too fuzzy and hazy to understand her right now but your subconscious is fighting hard to remember everything.

"3 days, Vial, Drink". You repeat nodding your head slowly.

"Yes." She smiles in relief.

"Once they call the coroners office we'll be on stand by to intercept the call and we'll get you the fuck out of here" She mutters.

"I...have.. no time" you point to her watch.

"I'll slip my watch into your pocket with the vial so you can keep track of time" She tells you. "Y/n please don't lose these.. and please try to remember. 3 days, vial, drink" She adds.

"3 days..via..." You trail off starting to feel hazy again.

Maki is worried that you won't remember anything. You're in horrible shape, it's like one moment you're here and the next you're an empty vessel. You aren't even forming full sentences and you're barely coherent or comprehending anything that she's saying.

What worries her the most is that it was all a lie. You were never going to get a trial from the beginning. You were set to be executed from the get go, but they were waiting on a few signatures from the counsel of sorcerers who were out of the country on a mission for a few years.

While interning at one of the Counselors offices Maki found out about the execution by accident, and when she tried to tell the others including Masamichi they didn't believe her and just thought that she was saying those things to stick by your side.

"One more time okay?" She says. You nod your head at her.

"3 days, vial, Drink" Maki whispers

"3 days...vi-vial..Drink" You repeat slowly.

"Yes!" She exclaims but quickly quiets down. "You got this and don't forget it and you'll  be back home in three days" she says caressing your cheek. The warmth of her hands suddenly makes everything feel real but you're still feeling hazy so all you can do is close your eyes and enjoy the fact that your best friend is here with you.

The door beeps and Maki quickly removes her hand from your face and looks at the guard who suspiciously stares at you both.

"Times up" He mutters irritated.

"Bye" Maki half smiles while seated as you give her an exhausted nod.

"Arms up" He says as the other guard pulls you to your feet and makes you hold your arms up.

The guard starts patting you down starting with your legs, then making his way up to the sides of your stomach, then to your chest where he purposely feels up on your breasts, making Maki fume.

"She's clear" he says when he's finished.

"Miss please stand up so we can search you as well" Maki stands up and takes a few steps forward. She steps on her untied shoe lace by accident and falls forward bumping into you.

"Jesus, watch yourself!" The guard says as he helps her regain balance.

"Sorry." She murmurs.

What he didn't know was that Maki hadn't tied her shoes back up when she had took them off earlier to get scanned through the metal detectors. She used that as an excuse to trip and slip the vial and wrist watch into your pocket after you got searched like she said she would.

"Alright miss, you're good to go." The blonde guard tells her. "I'll escort you out"

"I'll take this one back to her Cag-Cell" the other guard says.

Maki gives you one last look of sadness and concern before the guard basically drags you out of the door and takes you back to your cage.

Your knees slap against the cold hard concrete when the guard rests his hand on your shoulder and pushes you down, where you're back to your usual chained up position.

It seems like the only way you can sleep now is if you're chained up, but you know that the sleep will only last a few hours before the guards come inject you with their "special medicine".

You don't remember what the special medicine does anymore, all you know is that it's painful, more painful than the actual physical torture that they put you through almost everyday. They inject you every time they beat you, and you have no idea why, you just know that it burns and that the burning sensation courses through your veins for hours.

As you start to fall asleep you start to recite the words that you practiced with Maki to make sure that you don't forget. " 3 days, V-vial, Drink..3 days, Vial, D-Drink.. Drink." You whisper trailing off and beginning to lose your train of thought.

what were you just saying? you ask yourself confused.

You promised her that you wouldn't forget and you also promised yourself that you wouldn't mess this up, you don't think that you deserve to escape, so why does Maki think you're deserving of it? Or was it all a hallucination? it all happened minutes ago right? No it couldn't have, It must've just been some unrealistic dream you had.

You move your legs slightly to adjust yourself before passing out into a deep sleep when suddenly something in your jumpsuits pocket jingles, you move again and once again something in your pocket jingles.  Slight ticking is coming from your left pocket as you sit in silence  trying to figure out what's in your pocket.

A flash of Maki's voice echoes in your head "I'll slip my watch into your pocket with the vial so you can keep track of time..."

It was real.

Your eyes brim with water as you realize that it's all real, Maki was real, She held your hands, she called you her best friend and most importantly she came to see you. She put a watch and the vial you're supposed to drink in your pocket and you promised her you would drink it and you intend to keep that promise no matter it takes.

"3 days, Vial, Drink" You repeat out loud.

"3 days, Vial, Drink" You repeat again with tears falling down your face.

"3 days, Vial, Drink" You sob from the mix of emotions that you're feeling when reality finally hits you.

The once negative attitude you had towards escaping and making it out alive to defend yourself has turned into something  that you suddenly want, especially now that you know that your best friend is on the outside rooting for you and doing everything in her power to get you out of here.

"I'm getting out  and I'm going to exorcise Ryomen ,Sukuna!" You cry out loudly as the tears stream down faster and faster and you continue to recite what Maki told you until you fall asleep  for the rest of the day.

--

--

--

It's been three days. Three days since Maki has come to see you. You have been eating your food and discreetly looking at the clock every time that your arms are unchained to feed yourself. You've also been drinking as much water as you can with the hose during showers to get as hydrated as possible.

Surprisingly you haven't gotten beaten since you've seen Maki meaning that tonight  or at the very least tomorrow you're due for your weekly questioning  and round of abuse, Luckily for them you won't  be here tomorrow if what Maki told you was true. You didn't even think to question her because you trust her whole heartedly and you know that she wouldn't put you in danger so whatever she told you to do, you were going to go with.

You hear foot steps in the distance getting closer and closer to your so called cell. Your heart starts pounding in your chest as you realize that this may either be your first beating of the day or your first and only meal of the day and you're hoping that it's your meal.

The meal you have been longing for simply to get out of here. You've been repeating the same three words over and over again hoping to engrave them into your mind for the past three days  so you wouldn't forget them and so you could immediately empty the vial into your food and eat it.

You start to feel slight happiness at the thought of getting out of here though you know that the outside world may not accept you and you honestly don't know what follows after this but for now all that matters is at least trying to get out of here.

The  steel door beeps and starts to slide open making it's usual loud metal clanking sound. You look up at the guard who walks inside  and swipes his card behind him, he watches the door attentively and doesn't move until he hears the bar on the outside automatically slide shut and lock the door.

"You look more awake than usual, still look like dirt though" He chuckles. walking towards you with a a covered silver plate in his hand.

The fear yet excitement to get out of here gives you a rush of adrenaline that you've never felt before. You look up at him and don't say a word, which isn't a surprise considering the only sounds you ever make towards them consist of grunts and cries.

You sit up fully and stare at the silver platter he has in his hands, and you can't wait to devour what's inside, your hopeful eyes widen when he lifts the lid of the plate reveling, not food but an injection yet this time the usual blue colored injection is dark purple and reddish , almost the color of blood.

Your heart starts pounding harder but this time with nothing but fear and worry. "W-what is that?" You ask worriedly as he tosses the plate to the side.

"Oh, she speaks " He laughs tauntingly.

"...well first of all good morning and secondly It's medicine" He says flicking the cap off with his finger and squeezing some of the liquid out of the syringe. He flicks the side of it with his finger a few times before walking closer to you.

"N-no!" You say nervously trying to pull your arms from the chains.

"The more you move, the more it'll hurt" He mumbles in annoyance when he makes it to you.

"Stop! No! This isn't medicine!" You yell "Medicine is blue!" You plead out.

"It's new medicine" He says with a smirk on his face.

The guard kicks you in the ribs and you swear you hear something in there crack, but the adrenaline and worry of this is too much for you to even fully react to the pain. After he kicks you he squats down behind you and grabs a wad of your hair pulling your head back roughly.

"You think we didn't notice?" He asks. "HUH?, you thought we were stupid?" He asks in your ear. But you say nothing in return, instead small whimpers from the pain escape your quivering and swollen bleeding lips.

"Answer me!" He yells.

But you refuse to answer him or act like you know anything, you rather take the beat down if it means getting food later and finally making it out of here.

"Fine.. well, here's a little summary before we give you this permanent medicine" He laughs eerily in your ear.

Permanent? what does that even mean? You ask yourself in your head.

"Your little friend, that came here a few days ago? yeah we caught on to her little act" He says confidently.

"W-what?" You ask.

"W-what" He mocks you. He let's go of your hair and lowers his hand to your pocket where he slowly pulls out the watch and the vial. He stands up and walks around you standing right in front of you dangling the watch in your face and holding the vial between his fingers.

"This is what" He says.

"I-I don't know what that is" You tell him with tears in your eyes. Your dreams of being out of here have been obviously crushed. Did Maki just do this as a taunt? She truly never believed you and she probably hated you as much as Gojo did, this was just some attempt at crushing your spirit even more.

"You don't know what it is?" He asks sarcastically.

"No!" You shake your head vigorously.

"Hm interesting.. considering we heard the entire conversation you had with miss Zenin who by the way will be arrested as soon as we inform the counsel of her attempt to conduct a prison break" He chuckles.

"Please, I don't know what that is" You beg.

"Is that so? So I guess you don't care if I do this" He says throwing the watch at the wall with full force, making the watch shatter as soon as it makes contact with the wall. It's already been three days  you aren't worried about the watch as much as you are the vial.

You don't make a single movement or a single sound, the only thing being heard are the small breaths you're taking from holding in a scream as silent tears fall.

"But the watch isn't the important thing is it?" He says. "It's this, isn't it?" He shakes the small vial and starts inspecting it through the glass. Your heart drops.

"This small vial is what's  important.. this is what would have gotten you out of here" he says shaking the small bottle. He places the bottle on the floor in front of you inches away from your feet and slowly steps on it, you tighten your eyes at the sound of the glass shattering under his boot.

"So sad isn't it? Now your friend is going to be accused of treason for trying to help a special grade curse escape" He laughs. "Good news is you'll both be in the same cell" He chuckles.

"Curse?.. I'm not a curse" You say  out loud to him. Is he stupid? Is he confused? You aren't a curse, you are a sorcerer who got accused of something you didn't do.

"I-I'm not a curse" You tell him in disbelief that he would even call you that. "I-I'm innocent I shouldn't be here" You plead with him.

"Oh yeah?" He leans down. "You're as innocent as that Sukuna guy.." He mutters before standing up straight again.

"I'm not a curse" You say to him angrily, and In one swift moment he steps behind you pulling your head  back by your hair and jams the syringe into the side of your neck.

"Now you are" he whispers.

Your body starts to convulse as the burning sensation that you usually feel from the medicine feels ten times worse, your veins start pulsating  and turning purple as the liquid rapidly starts taking over every vein and artery in your body. You scream in agony from the pain  that you can't seem to bare and at this point you rather die, you want to die than keep feeling this pain.

Your vision goes from blurry to perfect vision every other second and you suddenly start to feel nausea and dizziness while the pain only worsens with every second that goes by.

"Yeah, Yeah you'll be alright" The guard rolls his eyes.

You continue to scream and shake in  pain trying to release yourself from the chains but it's no use, your body is going through too much at once and ultimately goes into shock, and suddenly everything starts to go dark and your limbs become numb.

You feel your body sinking into unconsciousness and the last thing you hear before you're fully unconscious is a crackle from the intercom in the ceiling and a familiar voice speaks through it.

"Go to sleep" it says seconds before the guard is now on the floor and everything becomes empty darkness.

-

-

Your ears are ringing and suddenly you start to hear muffled voices around you. They're loud and frantic  but you can't make out what they're saying all you hear is the loud ringing and maybe two or three voices. Your body also feels like it's moving almost like you're in a vehicle but you aren't fully sure and you're too scared to open your eyes.

Slowly the muffled voices start to sound more and more clear and you decide to open your eyes slowly, it's all semi blurry and all you can really make out is someone kneeling next to you, that exact someone who you saw three days ago.

"Maki..." you sigh out in a whisper.

"She's awake!!" She yells at Nobara who's driving the van.

"Good! We just lost the cops" She yells back.

"What are you doing here....?" you ask her confused. You blink your eyes a few times hard to try to adjust your eyesight but it's no use.

You don't even know where you are, and Maki? what is she doing here and was that Nobara's voice that you just heard? It can't be. How long have I been out? Did Maki get arrested like the guard said?

These were all of the questions coursing through your mind as you you were laying on Maki's lap. Your head was on her lap while she played with your hair trying to comfort you and it was so comfortable that as many questions as you had you were too tired to ask them so you just tried to keep your eyes open.

You didn't know if this was some sort of dream or not  or some sort of pergatory but whatever it was you didn't want to leave and you were too scared that if you closed your eyes it would all fade away.

"You're free y/n. You're free" She sobs. "I told you that I would get you out of there and I did-- we did" She says cradling your head.

You move your arm to try and touch her but as soon as you do pain shoots right through it making you groan slightly. "Don't move your arm, it could cause nerve damage in the state you're in right now, you have an IV in"  a deep and familiar voice says catching your attention and making you  turn your head, but your eyesight is still blurry and all you can make out of the voice is white hair but muscular.

Your eyes start to flutter as your eyelids begin to lose the fight against your exhaustion. You don't even notice it but you are so scared to close your eyes that you start hyperventilating  and suddenly the oxygen you once had feels like it's starting to run out.

"Her heart rate is speeding up, I need to give her a sedative until we make it back to the warehouse" The unknown voice says.

"Inumaki, promise me she'll wake up if you give her that" Maki says.

"It's just to calm her down. I promise she'll be okay" He responds.

Maki nods and looks down at you giving you a warm smile. "It's okay y/n, you can rest now" she says but you shake your head no refusing.

"Listen to me , you are safe now. I'll be here when you wake up...I promise" She says warmly, and her words do comfort you a little bit before you are back in a deep sleep but this time it's a calming and warm deep sleep, not the worrying kind you usually have, and maybe just maybe this isn't all a dream and it's finally your time to stand up against everyone and defend yourself after two years of self hate and wishing that you were dead.
