After the appointment i went straight home, but on the way someone unexpected called. Back home i never had many friends since most of us went to different colleges. Even though we promised to stay in touch, id have to be the one making the calls. I'll call her once i get home i thought, i didn't wanna look desperate.
Police told me they have opened a case for the incident and i might not be able to leave the
country. I'm supposed to leave in a week and i hope i can go back home.
Once I got back to the hotel room I called Willow back.
"Hello?" She said
"Hey Willow, It's Samantha." I replied
"Samantha? Samantha Jansen?" She asked
"Yeah." I said biting my lip
"Oh my god shut up, No way! How are you? She said all very quickly.
Why was she acting like she didn't recognise my voice? She was the one who called me right?
"I'm fine." I said with a smile "How about you? How your life?" I asked.
"Same old, like always" she responded.
Before I knew it, me and Willow had been catching up for hours. It felt good talking to someone who meant and still means so much to me.
