Sai shook her head and virat's heart sank, he couldn't breathe. He was shocked, stunned felt like somebody choked him. The feeling was unexplainable for him.
Virat shook his head not believing on what sai just said, pakhi laid lifeless in his arms. He didn't knew what to do...
While veenu sat beside pakhi who was in virat's arms: mama please utho na... dekho na baba kitna ro rahy hain. Mama please, I promise mai agay se kabhi bhi apko tung ni karo ga.
Virat looked at veenu who was crying uncontrollably, his tear fell on pakhi's face and veenu's tear fell on pakhi's hand.
Yeh rishtay toh daitay hain dard ki nishanian
Hain ansoo se likhi kismet ki kahanian
Suddenly pakhi stirred her figure a bit.. virat felt like someone has shoved oxygen back in his body: she moved, maine dekha isny apna hath hilaya. Maine khud dekha....
Sai sat again beside pakhi and checked her nerves: jaldi se hospital layky jana hoga because pakhi dii ki nerves abhi bhi low hai..
Virat: tum dono bacho ko dekhoo
He scooped pakhi in his arms and ran towards hospital...
After a while:
Whole Chavan family was at the hospital and pakhi was in the ICU. Veenu was hugging Ashwini while sai and savi stood in the corner.
Virat sat just beside ICU on the floor.
Ashwini came to him: bara sab theek hojaye ga..
Virat without an expression: mujhay koi dilasay ni chaiye aai.. mujhy bas pakhi ko theek hotay vy dekhna hai. Uski halat dekh aai, sab meri waja se howa hai... zara Khushi ni dai paya kabhi bhi usko hamesha dard hi dia hai..
Ashwini: aisay ni kehty goru... dekhna sab theek hojaye ga... patralekha ko kuch ni hoga. Usko kuch ni hosakta.... Usky betay ko uski zarorat hai, tujhy uski zarorat hai.. woh tujhy aur veenu ko akelay ni choray gi.
a nurse came and handed pakhi's ring to virat , virat looked deeply at the ring and remembered that it was her favorite ring , virat kissed the ring and cried his heart out.
Ashiwini hugged virat and veenu together....
She prayed in her heart (bappa humari patralekha ko theek kardo warna meray dono bachay ni jee paein gy)
Virat remembered how pakhi told him at the time if her marriage with Samrat dada that she only loved him..
Virat: pata ni mai hi ni samjh paya
just last night she asked him why does he care so much and was about to tell him something but stopped)
Virat: batein hamesha kyun un-kahi reh jati hain
(kaku saw virat sitting expressionless, she went to him and while crying put her hand on virat's shoulder, suddenly virat looked up)
virat: mujhy koi dilasa ni chaii, mujhy meri biwi chai usay baat karni hai mujhy day sakti hain ap toh tek hai warna mujhy akela chor dijay..
(Virat looked at veenu, his aai, kaku, rest of the family just few days before they were laughing together and now the tables turn , Virat saw veenu rushing somewhere)
(veenu was standing infront of the GOD's idol with his hands joined Infront of GOD)
Veenu: bhagwan ji please meri mama ko theek kardein please. Meray maam baba ko alag mat karein. Meri mama meri happiness keliye both kuch karti hain. Who meray liye doctor aunty aur savi ko lai. Who toh apse bohat pray karti hain na.. ap please unko theek kardein.... Mujhy meri mama chaiyeeee...
(Virat felt helpless and went back to where everybody was standing, Virat was standing same as before. The doctor came out
Virat : dr pakhi kaisi hai? (virat asked with hopeful eyes)
(the dr paused and looked down , virat was just looking at the dr not even blinking once)
dr: she was , (dr paused again) sar py bohat chot aai, bohat khoon beh gaya even stomach mai bhi glass ka piece chala gaya tha...
Virat: tha matlab?
dr: mr chavan unka brain was not working at all and she was long back dead before even you reached here
( she was long before dead , these words ringed in everyone's mind like a chant, kaku looked down not holding her tears, ashiwini hugged veenu and cried not believing ears, mohit consoled her but cried profusely)
dr: i am sorry she is no more
(Virat moved ahead and held the dr's collar and vigorously shook him glaring at him with tears in his eyes, not shredding them)
virat: apni bakwas band karo samjhay tum! (virat shouted) kaisay dr ho tum? dr ka kaam bachana hota hai
dr: mr virat i can understand
virat: you don't! tum thay ? tum thay wahan jab mainay apni biwi ko pehli bar dekha tha?tum thay? hatoo meray rastayy say..
With that virat went ahead in the room and saw his pakhi laying lifeless on the bed...
virat: pakhi bht hogya utho eb.. chalo, bohat rest karlia.. tumhay maza raha hai na...
(no movement )
Virat: tumhy lag raha hai kay mai tumpy chilao ga danto ga na? tbhi toh ni uth rai?
(no movement )
virat: pakhi? mai kuch keh raha hu na... tum kyun ni sunti meri? Veenu bhi tumpy gaya hai meri aek ni suntan har wakt mama mama karta hai... tum utho aur usko bolo baba ki baat maanay.. chalo
when nothing happened.
virat:: pakhii (virat touched pakhi's hand which was cold) mai keh raha hu na mai vada karta hn ky tumhy kuch ni kahoo gi paka vada apny pati pay bharosa ni hai? Humara to dard ka Rishta raha hai na. tum ni utho git oh humaray betay ko kaun sambhalay ga? Kabhi socha hai kia hoga uska? Tumhy mujy chornna hai choro magar veenu ka kia usko toh tum aek kharosh bhi ni anay daiti.
(virat shook pakhi)
Virat: tumhay kuch ni ho sakta pakhi.. kuch ni hosakta zindagi bhar sath rehnay ka vada hai humara jab iss bandhan mai bandhay thy veenu keliye. aur jb mera dil dharak raha hai (virat put his hand on his heart) toh tumhara dil kaisay ni dharak raha (virat put his hand on pakhi's heart which was not beating, virat immediately withdrawed his hand ) no yeh ni hosakta (virat shook his head denying the fact ) niii (a tear dropped from virat eye on pakhi's hand) pakhiiii (virat shouted not controlling anymore and hold pakhi's hand and put his head on pakhi's hand and sobbed) niii niii niii yeh niii hosaktaaa pakhi uthjao na plzzz pakhiiii mujhy aek mauka toh doo ky jaisay tumny mujsy pyar kia hai mai bhi tumhy dekha pao ky mai tumse kitna karta hoon (virat sobbed alot and kept on crying and calling pakhi but of no use his head was down on pakhi's hand and he closed his eyes not able to breathe anymore)
Everybody was crying
(veenu came ahead towards his parents just look at the duo so silent on the bed and veenu placed his hand on his father's hand which was on his mothers hand)
Suddenly pakhi said softly: virat
Virat looked up he couldn't believe his eyes...
Veenu hugged pakhi: mama
Virat smiled he couldn't form words.....
Pakhi smiled at him and that's when he joined the hug with veenu..... he cried his heart out. He looked up and thanked God....
2 DAYS LATER:
Virat entered pakhi's room.. from past two days he had been in hospital. Not even for a moment he left her side. He was out to get soup for her.. pakhi mostly was sleeping she will only eat in half consciousness.
He entered and
Virat: pakhi!
(virat exclaimed)
pakhi: kia virat itni dair laga dee anay mai? Kitna wakt hogya mai intezar kar rahi thi tumhara...
(pakhi said moving forward infront of virat, virat's eyes got teary , he couldnt beleive, without waiting for more, virat starting stepping towards her and closing the distance in between, she stepped towards him as well. Both taking slow steps their eyes stuck on eachother.. lost in each other....
Hmm... Hmm
(pakhi closed her eyes remembering their recent moments, whereas virat remembered her the first time he saw her)

They came in front of each other and stood without uttering a word.
Their heart racing fast...

Pakhi smiled a bit and that is when virat actually felt like living again
virat: pakhi theek ho na?
pakhi: theek kaisay ni hoti akhir tumny bacha jo lia...

(virat placed his palm on pakhi's cheek just feeling that she was alright/

virat: kabhi bhii naii
pakhi: kabhi bhi ni
Pakhi: mai change karlaiti hoon
Virat: haan mai yahi hoon tum karloo
Pakhi went near the washroom door, she turned
Pakhi: virat?
Virat: haan?
Pakhi: help robe kholnay mai help kardo gy zara
Virat at first couldn't register what she asked but than he nodded.

He went near her and she turned around... pakhi looked down...
Virat opened the robes and then placed his hands on her shoulders....
He went more close to her and suddenly pakhi turned towards him.
Pakhi: thanks virat....
Virat came back to his senses.
2 days later:
Veenu virat and pakhi were sitting in the room.
Veenu: mama ap yahan bore ni hoti, ap home kab aoo gy.
Pakhi: bore toh ai bhikafi hogai hoon magar apky baba hain jo mujhy discharge hi ni karana chahty...
Virat laughed: kyunky veenu beta abhi apki mama pori tran se theek ni how naaa.. isliye thoray din aur unko yahan rehna paray ga..
Pakhi and veenu made faces.
Pakhi: chalo veenu beta ab ghar toh ja ni rahy toh yahan beth ky hi kuch play karlaity hain..
Virat eyed her. Something was changed,he could feel it, he could sense it.
Veenu got excited: kia play karein gy mama
Pakhi: apky baba ni khelin gy kia?
Veenu: baba aooo na
Virat came and sat on pakhi's bed just in front of her..
Pakhi smiled: toh game yeh hai ky hum teeno ko apni ankhein band karni hai aur phir sochna hai mehsos karna hai (she said wile looking at virat) koi achi memory aur jo bhi humaray soch mai ayega who hum aek dosray ko btaein gy..
Veenu and virat nodded
All three closed their eyes....
Pakhi opened it and saw veenu and virat with closed eyes... she looked at virat and recalled
"pakhi please itni bari saza mat doo time py na anay ki. I love you pakhi, I love you marjao ga tumhary bina"
She broke her chain of thoughts when virat opened his eyes
Virat: aray yeh kia? Tumnay toh pehlay hi ankhein kholi howi hain
Pakhi smiled: pata jo tha ky tum bhi ankhein kholnay walay ho....
Both recalled their camp moments.....
