Skylar's POV
Is the first day of school and our teacher is Dr. Crowler I heard from other guys that one of the Sifer defeated him or her, I don't fucking know don't ask me I wasn't paying attention much until I hear the teach calling me out
"Syrus Truesdale" I sigh and the blue hair kid I met in the dome two day ago gets up as Crowler ask "Explain to the class what a field spell is?"
'Oh no, he's nervous. I have to do something...that's it' I call him "hey Syrus!" Syrus turns his head at me and looks confused "don't rush yourself, take deep breaths take your time and explain when you're ready"
Syrus sigh before taking a deep breath before looking back at Crowler and explain "Field spells are a subcategory of Spell Cards that is placed in the Field Zone, and remains face-up on the field after activation. Older Field Spells typically provide stat boosts for cards with Specific Attributes, Types or archetypes. Later Field Spells typically also provide effects such as recycling cards, weakening the opponent's monsters, searching monsters and/or swarming the field."
Dr Crowler looks impressed and says "alright I'm impressed, I'll give it to you"
I smile as I feel proudly at Syrus as he sits back down "That was pretty nice of you that you help" I look back and I see a blonde girl wearing white and blue She has dark blond hair is sporadically arranged, with a large portion trailing the upper part of the nape of her neck. She has brown colored eyes.
I look at her with a glare and roll my eyes before looking back front of the class as the class continues seriously why am I sitting literally in front of the blue brand this is so annoying
Third person's POV
'He doesn't like me doesn't he?' Alexis wonder as she looks down 'he has to be Lita's brother, I'm sure he knows about what happened to her. I'm just too coward to stood up for her' She thinks

"So as some of you know my name is Professor Lyman Banner, I specialize in a lesser known tactics and strategies in the world of duel monsters" a new professor introduces himself His usual outfit consists of a white shirt, black pants, belt and necktie. His black hair is tied back in a ponytail. Throughout the entire series, Banner's red eyes are constantly hidden behind their lids and a pair of square-lensed glasses
"Some that a few might even consider to be, unnatural-"
and here Skylar is zoning out again... since most of it not much of importance for him the class ended
Skylar says while getting up "next time keep your eyes on the class before I get annoyed" he says to Alexis who was staring at him most of the class
Skylar walks out of class he hears someone calling him "Hey Sky!" he turns and he sees his sister "welcome aboard"
"Thanks, sis" Skylar response with a smile "though, it really was an uncomfortable first day, my fellow Slifer Syrus embarred himself in Lyman's class although I helped him in Crowler"
Lita smile and says "Expected less from you little bro" she ruffles Skylar's head as she notices, Alexis walking out of the classroom. Lita walks off dragging Skylar with her as she says "hey I saw a music room there, want to check it out with me?" She asks
Skylar thought and then nod "sure is been a while since I stepped into a room with instruments" he says
"Good, let's go" Lita exclaims happily
from far Alexis sees Skylar and Lita walking alone together which make her feel sad and looks down 'I'm just a idiot for leaving her humiliated like this, Zane and Articuss need to know this too' she walks off to who knows where
-little time skip-
Skylar walk in the changing room and he meets up with Syrus and walks up to him and says "hey Syrus, is class started ye-" he sees a letter in Syrus hands "do you have a-" Skylar realizes "Syrus you mustn't believe what that letter's saying to you"
Syrus looks at the Gray-hair guy and ask "what do you mean?"
"I'm saying that whoever wrote that must be from the blue brand" Skylar explains
"You mean the Obelisk" Syrus questions as Skylar cringes at the name "Skylar...do you have a thing against them?"
Skylar sighs "yes and no, No because they did nothing to me personally yet, but they did something on my sister, come on we have to change we don't want to show up late to class, oh never trust them they seem no good people"
"But Alexis wrote this, and she didn't do anything mean to us" Syrus informs
"Or did she, Sorry Syrus, but if was you I would get rid of that letter and go on with my life, I don't trust her" Skylar says before walking away to change
'What if he was right?' Syrus wonders

Skylar finishes drying his hair after showering and look at Piyomon card as he ask himself "Piyomon, do you think I'm being overdramatic about this whole Alexis letter thing?" he sighs and finishes getting dress until he hears a knock on the door which Skylar walks towards it and opens it and sees a familiar brunette standing in front of him
"h-hi! Syrus-I mean Skylar, right?" Jaden greets nervously 'how am I acting so nervous!?' Jaden wonders
"Yeah, you must be the one who beat Crowler at the entrance Exam...Jaden Yuki, am I correct?" Skylar asks
"Yes-I mean yeah, that's me" Jaden stutters but tries to hide it trying to act cool
"What do you need?" the Gray-haired male ask
"Oh, right? Have you seen Syrus, I couldn't see him all day" Jaden asks
Skylar's eyes widen in disbelief 'Alexis' he thinks "Jaden, I know where Syrus is but I'm not gonna like where...he's in the Obelisk dorm more specific the female campus, looking for Alexis to confirm something"
"Then let's go!" Jaden says
"You're right, and besides Slifer aren't allowed in other dorms" Skylar inform as the two run out of the dorm to find their blue hair friend
They get on the boat and pedal up the boat, but Skylar has a idea. He puts on the duel disk on and pull out one card "Hang on this is about to be bumpy" Skylars warns "Blow away!" he places the card on his disk as a little green tornado pushes the two fast
"Woah! How do you do that!?" Jaden asks in shock
"Save Syrus now, questions later!" Skylar says
once they arrive to the sea side they and see Syrus with his wrist tied up by three girld from the Obelisk that enrages Skylar "seriously tying someone up like some animal, you High class wannabes are the same, Bratty arrogant no wonder why Lita hates you"
Alexis sees taken a back when Skylar says his sister's name as she looks down as one of the girl yell "how dare you calling us brats you have any idea who you're talking to-"
"like I give a fuck" Skylar claps back "we're here for our friend and I expected you to hand us our friend, like good little girls that you said you are" Skylars finishes with a disgust tone while saying good little girls
'Damn!' Both Syrus and Jaden thought at the same time
"Alright, if you don't want us to turn you guys in, you have to beat me in a duel, to earn your freedom" Alexis says as she sees Skylar walking up to her
"Bring it on, Bitch" Skylar says with sass. Alexis looks taken a back to see Skylar standing up to her defending his friends, and then says "I'll make sure you regret suggesting that"
"b-but if you guys turn us in we'll be expelled" Syrus says worry
"Don't worry, Syrus. I'll make sure that doesn't happen, not on my watch" Skylar reassures Syrus making him sure that is okay
Alexis and the girls on one side as Skylar Jaden and Syrus on the other side
"Skylar, I hope you know what you're doing" Syrus says to the green hair guy
"Ready?" Alexis asks
"Is that even a question?" Skylar asks back annoyed
"Duel!" they both shout

"You're lucky that I'm a good mood, what don't you take the first move?" Skylar offers
'He's up to something, but what?' Alexis wonders "Alright then, draw!" she looks at her card and then picks one "I summon, Etoile Cyber in attack mode" Alexis says "Etoile Cyber, rise!"

'If I remember correctly that monster has more defense points than attack points, what are you up to Obelisk?' Skylar wonders
"Now I'm ending my turn with a face down!" Alexis states
"Nm... Draw!" Skylar draws a card and states "first I summon Aveon in attack mode!"

Next, I activate the spell, double battle! This means that we both get to summon another monster from our hands, if you don't have one you'll pay only a hundred point of damage" Skylar inform as he pulls out a card "I summon, Swanna in Defense mode!"

"I'll take the 100 points of damage since I don't have another monster on my hand" Alexis inform
Alexis' life points: 4000-3900
"Aveon attack Etoile Cyber with Arial Ace!" Skylar states as Aveon charges at Alexis
Alexis grunts "I don't think so, I activate a trap! Double Pase" Alexis states as Aveon attack Alexis directly and looses 1400 points
Alexis' Life points: 3900 - 2500
"Double Pase is a trap that changes your monster's attack to directly at me, and now my monster that you were about to attack wege a direct attack on you!" Alexis informs Skylar
"Shit" Skylar curses
"And when Etoile cyber attacks someone directly her attack points increases by 600" Alexis finishes explaining [Atk: 1800]
Etoile Cyber attacks Skylar directly making him grunt in pain while holding his shoulder while loosing points while Syrus and Jaden call "Skylar!"
Skylar's life points: 4000 - 2200
Skylar looks back at his friends "I'm fine, don't worry too much about me" he then looks back at Alexis and her monster 'So this is what is like to recieve damage, I see...she used a trap to sacrifice her own life point so that she could attack mine, I had underestimated her...she stronger that I thought' Skylar thinks
"Impressed, Skylar?" Alexis asks
"I wish I could say 'I think I'm in love' but it doesn't fit me since I'm not into women" Skylars response
Jaden looks at Skylar surprised "you're not into women!?" Jaden asked
Skylar ignores Jaden question "Alright I'm ending my turn" Skylar finishes but then remembers "Wait...I'd never told you my name...Unless, you were one of Lita's former friends are you?" Skylar asks
"Lita?" Jaden and Syrus questioned which Alexis didn't response she draws a card instead
"I play Blade Skater!" Alexis states
[Atk: 1400 / Def: 1500]
"And I activate a spell called polomerization, to fuse Etoile Ciber and Blade Skater together to fusion summon, Cyber Blader
[Atk: 2100 / Def: 800]
"Now Cyber Blader! Attack Aveon with, whirlwind rage!" Alexis yells As Cyber Blader goes for a attack She notice Skylar smirking "Why are you laughing?" Alexis asked
"I'm laughed becaused you activated Swanna's ability when Swanna's on the field and your claiming a attack on a monster that isn't Swanna Swanna will recieve the attack instead since Swanna is in defense mode I won't take damage but you'll recive the damage that I was suppose to take!"
Swanna gets destroyed and Alexis loses points
Alexis Points: 2500 - 2400
"I end my turn"
"I draw!" Skylar draw and his eyes widen in disbelief at the card he found...'is Time' he looks at Alexis and shows her a card "First I'll bring Swanna back by activating the spell, monster reborn!"
"He has Monster reborn, too!?" Jaden says in disbelief
Swanna reappears to the field [Atk: 1700] "Is been long since I haven't used this monster, Alexis be honored that you be the first duelist to ever cross paths with this Monster, I tributing both Swanna and Aveon!" both Swanna and Aveon turns into green light and green flames appear on the ocean "you introduced me to your friend, well I think is my turn to introduce you mine, Say hello to my friend, Ventus Skyress!" Skylar shouts as the green fire flies up to the sky between the dark cloud and then a green Phoenix appears right above everyone as the people present looks at the Green Phoenix in awe as it screech at Cyber Blader

"Ventus Skyress, is the reason why Skylar got the name the Prodigy of the Sky" Syrus tells Jaden
Jaden looks at Skylar in amaze "Amazing..."
Skylar shows Alexis, his remaining 2 cards "Alexis you see these two remaining cards do you want to guess which of these cards are?" Skylar asks
Alexis widen her eyes "no..."
Skylar smirks "I activate the field spell Ventus reactor!" Skylar yells as the lake get surrounded by green wind "with Ventus reactor activated Skyress will gain 600 attack points [Atk: 4000] next I activate the spell, Blow Away! this card will destroy all card that are in the field that isn't an Ventus Monster, say goodbye to your Cybe Blader" Skylar explains as a green tornado surrounds Alexis' side of the field, destroying Cyber Blader
Alexis looks at Skylar with shock "S-So that means..."
"That's right Alexis...this game is over! This is for Lita! Skyress, attack her directly with Green Nobility - Soar Violent Winds!" Skyress gets covered in green flames as she charges at Alexis with a war screech hitting Alexis pushing her off the boat as she falls to the water
Alexis' life points: 2400 - 0
Skylar gaps at what he has done pulls out a random monster and summons it "Kazemon!" then out of no where a Fairy with long purple hair, fair skin, and four green stripes on its face. It wears a pink bra and pink panties, a high-waist pink belt above its navel, and large, pink boots with green soles, purple heels with butterfly wings attached, green borders at the top, yellow and red circles, and white knee pads with four green diagonal marks coming out of it, forming a butterfly image on each knee. It also wears purple armbands under metallic gauntlets with brooches at the wrist that are adorned with the symbol of the and have butterfly wings attached, silver shoulder pads and a visor with a final pair of butterfly wings attached.
"Quickly, help her out of the water!" Skylar tells Kazemon who nods and flies toward Alexis is and held her from under her shoulders and takes her back to the boat who sighs with relief as she sees Kazemon flying back to the Gray hair male and disappears back to his disk and take Kazemon's card out he looks at Alexis with regret and concerns, then ask her "are you okay?"
Alexis notice the concern yet regret on his face she gets back up and nods saying "I am now, thanks to your monster...can I ask you a question?"
"I understand that you have question involving, Lita. I'll tell you in another time, although. I can tell that you miss having Lita around" Skylar says surprising Alexis "don't get me wrong despite her having a smile on her face she still heartbroken about what happened, and I know that you know what am I talking about" he added.
Alexis nods "I know, but every time I'd tried to talk to her, she ends up avoiding me" Skylar see tears building up in her eyes as she explains to him.
Skylar nods back "alright, when I see her I'll try to talk to her. and I'll let you know when she's ready to talk to you"
Alexis nods "Thanks Skylar" the mentioned nods
Jaden then says changing the subject "well a deal is a deal. Skylar won so we get off free"
Alexis then says "Okay guys, I won't back out we'll keep quiet about what happened tonight"
Then one of the two girls looks at them and says "Well if you asked me, I think we should turn both of them in, right now!"
Alexis response with sass "well no one asked you"
'Damn!' Skylar thought hearing that
"Skylar beat me in a duel fair and square, and that there is to it" Alexis explains
"There was more to it than that, it was close" Jaden tells Alexis everyone looks at Jaden curiously "yeah, you got game"
"He's not wrong" Everyone now looks at Skylar "you seem like that type of duelist who get understimated easily but that'll become your opponents downfall, like I did, and I personally apologize for underestimated you"
Alexis nods and says "that's okay, you're not the first to tell me that"
the three males sit on their boat as Skylar place blow away card on the deck "see ya!" Jaden says as Skylat activated the spell and pushes the boat back to the boy campus
'Maybe there's still hope that I get to have my best friend back...and even if I win I would never turn those three in this year's going to be better with them than without' Alexis thought with a small smile
meanwhile with the boys Skylar hears Jaden asking him "Uh...Skylar, is it true that you're not into women like in a romantically way?"
Skylar blushes and deactivate the spell "I said that out loud?" He questions before covering his face embarrassed
"H-Hey is okay, Skylar. We don't mind you being gay, or anything. we won't see you different, because of it" Jaden reassures the Gray-hair male
Skylar turns his head to Jaden who was pedaling "R-Really?" Skylar asks
Jaden nods "Yeah, you're still our friend Sky!"
Skylar eyes light up and blushes a bit "I-I will like be your friend Jaden, and Syrus" he smiles at the two making Jaden feel his heart skip a beat as his cheeks flare up
'Why am I feeling happy that Skylar's not straight...will I be gay too? I-It must be a coinsidence I can't be in love with him, can I?'
