I'm percy and a few months ago I saved olympus for the second time in my life. The seven and myself had been awarded
and we were heading back to camp. I was offered godhood again but I turned it down to stay with Andrew but then he was offered godhood and accepted it. I was so heart broken......
. Flashback
"Persephone jackson I Zeus king of the gods offer you godhood once again along with the opportunity to join the Olympian council. Do you accept?" Zeus said to me.
"I don't accept." I told him and looked over at Andrew s.
"Fine. What do you want?" He asked me
" I want you to remove Andrew's and my demigod scents." I told him sweetly
"Um.... Sure" he said confused " someone summon Hecate and I'll award the rest of the seven."
My father stood up and said "I will" then walked out of the throne room.
Zeus then continued the ceremony "Andrew chase. We offer you godhood do you accept?"
"Yes"
"The word rings through my head as my entire world comes crashing down. I look straight at him as he turns to me and just shrugs. I start crying silent tears. Aphrodite then started to freak out.
"WHAT?! WHAT?! SHE LITERALLY FELL THROUGH TARTARUS FOR YOU AND YOU JUST LEAVE HER! SHE DID EVERYTHING SHE COULD FOR YOU AND YOU JUST LEAVE HER!" Her screaming continued but I couldn't hear it over the sound of my entire life crashing down on top of me as I fall to my knees. I couldn't even feel the earthquake I started In the throne room. it was so powerful that after it finished I passed out from loss of energy.
LINE BREAK
When I regained consciousness I was on the ground in the throne room. Everyone was covered in dust and there were cracks on the ceiling. I could feel them looking at me. I stood up and said "I'm..um.. sorry?"
Zeus then says " it's fine I guess. Let's continue "
The other Olympians murmured in agreement then they continued. I really didn't hear the rest I just heard that Leo asked for Calypso to be freed only to find that she didn't want to be. She had already found another hero who she fell in love with. They now were living on the island together and leo was alone. When he heard the news he just nodded and walked out of the room not bothering to ask for another gift.
Frank was rewarded with his life no longer relying on a piece of firewood. Jason was rewarded with the memories he had lost being given back to him along with is new sword that was forged by Hephaestus himself. The sword was celestial bronze with imperial gold lightning designs on it. Piper was given gold armor that can turn into a charm bracelet and if she adds a charm to it the charm's design appears on the armor. Hazel was given the ability to travel between now and the time she was originally from.
After we were all awarded we all walked out together... well without Andrew and leo. I noticed them each periodically glance over at me. i didn't care. All I wanted was Andrew but I knew that wouldn't happen. Finally jason spoke up.
"So percy are you going back to Camp Half-Blood or Camp Jupiter?"
"Neither" I said
"Then where are you going?" Piper said
"Back to my mom's house" I told them. "I miss her"
"Oh" frank said
As we exited the Empire State Building we went our separate ways. I went to my mother's house. Frank went to Camp Jupiter and Jason and piper went to Camp Half-Blood
I walked down so many streets until I got to my mother's apartment. It was small but I loved it. I had good memories there like my fifteenth birthday and then I had bad memories like Gabe Ugliano abusing me and my mother. I loved it here though.
I walked up to the door when I heard an alarm go off. It was like a fire alarm. I ran inside and tried to get to the stairs but there was fire in the stairwell. I also couldn't breathe because of the smoke so I was coughing really badly. I was about to run through when strong arms grabbed me and pulled me out. I struggled but they pulled me outside. They brought me over to an ambulance but I kept screaming things like "no my mom is in there" and "I have to get my mom". They wouldn't let me go back in though.
Eventually the fire was out and they brought out the bodies. I instantly saw my mother's body among them. I broke down into sobs and I couldn't stop. I wanted to die. I wanted to go to the underworld and go to the fields of asphodel so I could forget everything about my horrible life,but I knew I couldn't.
Some cops brought me down to the police station because I was still a minor and I had no family left. Well mortal family that is. Or that's what I thought before they came back with a file.
"So Persephone Jackson right?" I nodded.
"Okay so we found out that you do have a family member that is willing to take you."
I must've looked confused because then she explained more.
"Your mother was married to a man named Gabe Ugliano. Your mom started to fill out the divorce papers but they weren't complete so he is technically still your stepfather. We gave him a call and he said he would take you"
I was absolutely confused. My mom kicked him out years ago and she didn't finish filling out the papers? How could that be?
"What" was all that I could say.
I told them I didn't want to go there but they just passed it off as a grieving child.

-------------------------------------------LINE BREAK two weeks later---------------------------
Today was the day I was sent to live with my childhood abuser. He was a fat man with 3 hairs on his head combed over to make him look "good". Social services met with him already so I was coming to live with him now.
He lived in a small house and he rented it. It only had one floor and it was smaller than my mom's old apartment.
I knocked on the door and a few minutes later the door opened. He reeked of alcohol and if possible he'd gotten fatter.
"So you came crawling back I see" he said
"I had no choice" I replied and waved to my ride telling them that it was okay to leave.
As soon as they did Gabe walked me inside and told me the rules "you are to cook for me and do everything I tell you to. Got it? Good. Your room is right here" he led me down the hall to a door and he opened it. Inside was a mattress laying on the ground. The room was the size of a closet. I walked in and put my bag down. I turned to see that Gabe had left me alone.
In the room was a small crawl space. I opened the small door and realized I could fit in it. It wasn't very big but it was big enough for a 16 year old girl to fit in. I decided I would straighten up my new room. So I grabbed an old bottle of perfume and an old shirt I didn't like and started spraying and wiping down walls. I moved my bed into the corner of the room and decided the walls were too bare. So I then got out my sketch book and started sketching pictures of my friends and camp half-blood. I drew Leo ,Piper ,Jason ,Frank ,Hazel, and Andrew.
I found some tape and started to hang them on the walls when out of nowhere I hear Gabe yell for me to come into the kitchen. When I go out there I see beer bottles littering the floor.Gabe is at the table looking at me furiously.
"I said you were supposed to cook for me Persephone."he snarled
"I'm sorry I thought you would tell me when you wanted me to cook" I said
"No bitch you have to have dinner ready for me by six o'clock every night"
"Okay I'm sorry. It won't happen again" I told him
He didn't seem convinced so I turned to walk away. He then grabbed me by the hair and pulled me back. He let go and I turned around to face him. I looked in his eyes and saw anger, then out of nowhere he slaps me and continues to hit me. I fall to the floor and he starts to kick me. Eventually he stops and I try to get up. I crawl onto my hands and knees. I reach up to grab the table to pull myself up and he kicks me in the stomach and leaves the kitchen.
I hear him yell from his room "dinner better be ready soon".
I open the fridge and grab out eggs. I make scrambled eggs for him to eat for dinner. Then I go to his room and knock on the door telling him it's ready. Before he comes out I run to my room and hide in the small crawl space. That night I cried myself to sleep.
