After he folded his handkerchief neatly and placed it on the side table, he approached her.
Lily raised her head at the sound of his footsteps. "When did you wake up? What have you been busy with since morning... Ah!"

Sitting across the table, she looked up at him, her neck bent upward. He had a mischievous look in his eyes that could not be hidden. An ominous energy ran down her spine.
Lily looked at the large man in front of her. He was a truly fearsome man. Noticing her wandering green eyes, he let out roaring laughter.
"You have to eat your meal, wife."
She cast a pitiful gaze at her table. "You don't have to waste your time on me. You must be busy..."
"I'm here to do the most important thing anyway."
Lily looked up at him again at the unknown answer. She was the only one in the bedroom.

She couldn't see it properly, but he grabbed a round plate. When he opened the tin lid, the first thing that hit her was the smell of fresh fruit.
It was filled with bright red strawberries sprinkled with condensed milk.
"I came here to eat. With you."
"Eat..." Lily muttered as she looked at the strawberry. Sticky condensed milk sprinkled on bright red fruits. It was just a dessert, but it felt strange.
Because of Talin. No, the more fundamental problem was... Was it her husband holding a plate of strawberries? Her mouth dried.
He took a strawberry with a fork. The condensed milk that ran down the one dripped onto the other strawberries.
Vlad muttered a command, "Your mouth. Open up."
Lily looked into his eyes and opened her mouth.
The sweetness rushed up her tongue.
