Preface:
This is a Hinny (Harry x Ginny) OS which takes place after the war.

Dedicated To:
dream_rxses for being a loyal reader. The first hinny OS of this book is for you for that. :)

"You know it, Ginny! Stop this, please! Listen to me!" he shouted. Ginny could see the nerve of his temple throb lightly before she huffed in annoyance.

"I can say that you don't even understand me!" she retorted back, jabbing a finger at his face. He went cross-eyed at it before meeting her brown orbs with frustrated eyes.

"You still don't understand! I want to pr–"

"Hell with it! Can you stop being an overprotective prat?!"

"And can you stop being an overly stubborn witch?!"

They huffed in unison and turned away with crossed arms. Ginny's limbs were so tightly crossed, she highly doubted if she could untangle them later. A minute or so later, the sound of the chair screeching against the floorboard was heard.

"See you. . . later." With that, he left. Ginny sighed.

Arguments was never the one in their relationship, even during the early years of love but now it had changed, for the better or worse, she could not tell.

She sighed again as she realized that she had been a little too harsh on him. He was, after all, only trying to take care of her.

But she did not need anyone to take care of her.

But then again, he was her husband.

Her stubborn side loved to disagree.

In order to divert herself, she started on the dishes.

It did an hopeless job in helping her out. In fact, it escalated her guilt. The amount of time spent on washing a few dishes with him was alarmingly high but surely enjoyable. They sung and even bumped into each other on purpose while cleaning and drying the melanin dishes. The snog session that would ensue after that brought butterflies to her stomach.

Oh right, a real cocoon was in her stomach.

"Meow!"

Ginny looked to her side and found a jet black cat standing outside the window to the kitchen, its emerald eyes twinkling mischeviously. She blinked at it and it blinked back. Cats were really rare near her household.

It pawed around at the window and she opened it slightly. No sooner did she let it in that it jumped onto the counter and started inspecting the washed dishes.

"Well, hello there to you too, furry baby," she said softly in order to not startle it. As if it knew what she was going to tell, it turned around slowly with narrowed eyes.

"Meow!" it exclaimed, pointing its paw at the sink. Ginny ignored its apparent question and observed it closely. There was a peculiar lightning bolt shaped mark on its forehead and another weird shaped weight lifter balance mark was present in between its eyes.

Realization dawned upon her but before she could act on doing something, the doorbell rang. The cat leaped down and ran to the door, Ginny literally hot on its tail.

Wondering who it was at this time of the noon, she opened the door. A tall, gangly man with honey blonde and tamed hair stood at the entrance, a bag slung around his shoulders. The bag seemed much heavier than him.

"Hello?" Ginny greeted, unsurely.

"Hey there, Mrs Potter! I am Lean Cortes and I come from The Witch Weekly. I've been assigned to interview you about the upcoming Harpies' match," he exclaimed as his glasses came down his nose.

"Oh! Right, please make yourself comfortable. Come in," she welcomed, wantedly pushing the black cat aside and opening the door ajar. The feline scowled apprehensively before leaping up to the table and sitting down, facing the man with as much a stern look that a cat could muster. The man flinched when Ginny placed a glass of cold water in front of him.

"Ah – sorry for the trouble," he smiled, wiping his brow with a hanky. Ginny smiled back before taking a seat facing him. The cat jumped onto her lap and began to purr contentedly as she scratched its neck. "That cat seems quite attached to you. May I know what name it goes by?"

Ginny bit her lip in thought as the cat watched her with amused green orbs.

"He's my Honey, the cutest furry baby," she replied with a wink and the cat meowed in agreement. She stroked its neck and it purred in contentment. The sound filled her ears so much so that she forgot the presence of Lean.

Lean cleared his throat and nodded before taking out a scratch-O-quill and a notepad. "The cat's black and you call it Honey?"

"Mi?!" the feline hissed. Lean gulped before looking at her.

"So, Mrs Potter, how has the career of a Quidditch star been for you all these years?"

"Please call me Ginny. And to answer your question, it has been really wonderful. I have chased my passion and become a chaser for my dream team, so I think that's saying something," she said noncommittally. This question was way too common.

"Great. There are rumors that you are resigning from the team with the excuse of maternity leave. Am I right?"

Ginny stiffened. The reason for her argument with her husband was thrown at her face in the form of a question.

"Yes, you are."

"Will this Tornadoes versus Harpies be your last match then?"

"Not really. I might get back into the team after everything," Ginny answered and the cat hissed. She glared at it and it glared right back, its whiskers twitching.

"That sounds like a good news for the Harpies. After all, they can't afford to lose a star woman like you, can they?"

Ginny smiled awkwardly. The feline tried to wiggle out of her grip.

"All right then. I'm sure that after your spectacular news the readers will want to know if there will be another baby Potter after this?" The cat lost its patience. It pushed Ginny's arms away using its hind legs and pounced on the startled man. Ginny did nothing to help him even as he yelped.

"That," she started, "meant invading my privacy so you deserve it."

Lean got up and shook the cat off of his scarred face before grabbing his bag and glaring at her. "That wasn't clean, Mrs Potter!"

Ginny did not have to answer. Her Honey answered it for her.

"MEOW!"

Lean ran out of the residence when the feline took a step forward. Ginny laughed heartily and the cat looked at her rather intensely. Her laughs did not subside until there was a crash outside and her brother and Neville came running in.

"Ginny! Harry's turned into a mystery animal and we can't spot him! We might need your help!" Ron exclaimed, running in. His hair was windswept and he looked really pale; his freckles provided a sharp contrast against his skin.

"He might change back any moment but we don't know if he'll turn up in one piece! It was an insane Transfiguration gone wrong," Neville shouted, clutching his head. Ginny chuckled before leaning down to the cat which fell on its back, as if on cue.

"I know that he'll be back in one piece now," she said before winking at the cat. Ron's eyes widened comically and a smoke enveloped her and the feline. When it cleared, he saw an upside down Harry kissing his sister. Ron rolled his eyes as Neville chuckled.

"Guess she found him."

Ah, the first Hinny OS of this book!

I was inspired for this story because of a black cat with a peculiar mark which lives in my neighborhood.
