harumi's pov
am i dead?
that's the only explanation. it's so dark. but then why do i hurt so much?
i hum lightly to check if my voice works. i end up coughing loudly. i guess it does.
my arms? my left arm seems ok, but my right... definitely sprained. or broken.
"hey!" i try yelling. "hey!!!"
i wait for a few seconds. or minutes. it's hard to tell.
eventually i must have passed out again because i wake up again and this time i can see spots of light coming through the pile of building on top of me.
im sore and tired and really hungry. when was the last time i ate? yesterday morning? two days ago? im not sure.
"hey!" i start yelling again. it's day now- there's gotta be someone out there. "get me outta here!"
"there's someone under there!" i hear someone in the distance say.
"should we call the police?" a different voice says.
"just help me!"
"we're coming!"
i can hear rocks and ruble being shifted around. the pressure on me starts to feels lighter. then the concrete on my face if lifted and i'm temporary blinded by the sun.
"oh my god." one voice says. "it's princess harumi!"
"you idiot! i told you we should have called the police!"
"well do it now!"
i hear footsteps run off.
"don't you dare move." someone says. "i have a shovel and i am not afraid to use it!"
not like i could fight back anyway.
the last thing i hear before i pass out again is the high pitched wailing of a police siren.
