Chris POV
"Hello" I said answering my phone.
"It feels so good to hear your voice Chris I missed you" Toni said in her deep soothing voice. The sound of her voice put a smile on my face.
"I missed you too what are you doing?"
"In bed... thinking about you"
I got quiet imagining her naked in bed for a minute.
"Chris?"
"Huh yeah sorry. It's been a long day" I said shaking my head.
"What are you doing?"
"The same as you" I chuckled.
"Thinking about yourself" she laughed.
"You silly. I wish you were here right now.
How's work?"
"Good good I have two more months till tour starts"
"Damn it's been that long huh?"
"Yes it has baby and I miss you every
second of the day"
"Trust me I feel the same about you.
How are the boys? Do they miss me" I chuckled being sarcastic.
"Speaking of they're with their father. And I'm here all alone..."
"Say less I'm on my way" I said jumping out of bed barley holding the phone.
I could hear Toni laughing as I dropped the phone on the bed. I hung up before rushing to put some
pants on.
I was getting excited on my way to her house.
The closer I got the bigger my smile grew.
And before I could even ring her doorbell the
door swung open to her beautiful body in nothing but a robe.
The sight of her body made my jaw drop.
"Fuck I missed you" I whispered to myself.
Toni's smile grew as I grabbed her hugging her tight.
"I love you" she whispered seductively.
"Mmm I love you too"
The energy between us was on fire.
We ran like kids to her bedroom and turned off
the lights. Neither of us could keep our hands off of each other. And the sex was everything I needed.
I didn't want it to stop but it eventually did and we stayed up all night catching up. Toni and I can talk for hours without getting bored. I really missed talking to her.
"You've been distant lately" she said while held her.
"I know and I'm sorry. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and I just wanted some space. You know I would never do anything to hurt you right?"
"I don't know"
Once she said that I chuckled.
"Maybe it was better off when I was your secret"
"Is that what you really think?"
"Lately yeah"
She got up in frustration separating us and laid on her side facing her back towards me.
"Goodnight" she said before the room got silent.
"Maybe space is what we need I mean look at the boys—Maybe your right" she said cutting me off.
I looked at her back feeling a pain in my chest.
I wanted her to turn around so back. I wanted her to fight for us. So I just excepted it for what it was and laid down trying to close my eyes.
It was hard to fall asleep but once I did
I had the best sleep I had in days. I woke in a good mood till I remembered what happened last night.
And there was no sight of Toni either.
Assuming she was downstairs cooking breakfast I made my way to her bathroom.
I stopped myself from opening the door once I heard someone crying on the other side of the door.
"Toni" I whispered to myself.
I just left her alone and sat on the edge of her bed.
I was hurting because she was hurt. As I sat there thinking about her she finally opened the door.
And out she came making direct eye contact with me.
Her eyes were red and puffy. And I could tell she just wiped her face.
"Are you okay?"
She ignored me and walked right past me to her closet.
I grabbed her by her arm and pulled her into my arms.
"We can't run away from this now.
I don't want to hurt you"
"Yeah well your hurting my arm" she said yanking away from me.
"I'm sorry" I said following her into her closet.
"Chris I don't know what you want from me.
You want everyone to know about us and now your saying you were better off as a secret" she said looking at me with tears in her eyes.
"Toni please let me explain"
I tried wipping her eyes but she backed away before the doorbell rung.
"I think that's Keri and the boys. Excuse me" she said shoving her way past me.
Toni POV
I ran downstairs trying to fake a smile before I opened the door wiping my face dry.
"Heyy" I said smiling.
"Hey Mom- Hey Ma"
Denim and Deziel both gave me a hug
before coming in.
"Are you okay Mom" Denim asked.
"Yeah I'm fine"
"Allergies" Keri asked.
"Yeah Allergies"
"Hey before you close the door. I'm really sorry for the
way I acted those weeks ago. I'm sorry for putting my hands on, you know"
"Chris?"
"Yeah and isn't that his car. Tell him I said hi"
"Maybe you can tell him yourself. CHRIS CAN YOU COME DOWNSTAIRS PLEASE!?"
Keri rolled his eyes as Chris ran down the steps before coming to the door. Chris didn't say anything he just looked Keri up and down.
"Look I'm sorry"
"That's it" I asked Keri.
"Did you tell the Denim and Deziel" Chris asked.
"Yes I did, in the car on the way here"
"Okay that's all I wanted" Chris said before slamming the door in Keri's face.
I giggled with him before the boys came downstairs.
"Don't worry I'm leaving"
"No Chris you can stay" Deziel yelled at him.
"You guys aren't mad anymore?"
"No"
Chris looked at me before giving me a
kiss on my forehead.
"I don't know if your mom wants me too" he said looking at me.
"Chris!"
I held his arm stopping him from leaving.
