When they entered the company, everyone was staring at Jin and Y/N. the young girl felt a bit uncomfortable and held tightly her brother's hand. They got in the elevator and Jin smiled.
Jin: Relax Sweetie...
Y/N: I only came here once with Dad and it was on a Sunday, there was not so many people.
Jin: They are just curious to see the little Miss, that's all. You're in a safe place here... it's our family company.
He took her to his office, and they were welcomed by his secretary and his assistant.
Jin: Y/N, come inside. Miss Lee, please bring a juice for my sister and don't let anyone enter my office in my absence.
Miss Lee: Yes Sir. (She bowed and left.)
Assistant Jung: Boss, sorry to disturb you on your day off but...
Jin: Assistant Jung, I will join you in the meeting room in 5 minutes. (He closed the door.) Y/N, sit, I will be quick, okay?
Y/N: You can take the time you need Oppa. Don't worry.
Jin: Miss Lee will bring a drink for you and if you need anything, just ask her.
Y/N nodded, and Jin left to finish quickly what he came for. Y/N looked around and saw a little photo of the family during their trip to Paris. Next to it, there was an old photo of his mother with his father. She smiled. Jin was looking a lot like his mother. She was beautiful.
Miss Lee knocked at the door before entering with a juice. Y/N thanked her and sat. She took her phone and read a webtoon to pass the time.
After 30 minutes, she needed to use the restroom. She shyly opened the door and asked to Miss Lee the way. The secretary accompanied her but she had to excuse herself when her phone rang.
Y/N: Thank you Miss Lee and please answer your call, I can find my way back alone.
The secretary bowed to Y/N and left. When she came out of the restroom, Y/N didn't saw the person coming from the men's restroom and they both bumped into each other. Y/N lost her balance, and she was about to fall but the man grabbed her forearm.
Y/N: I'm sorry Sir... I didn't see you.
XX: That's okay... (He stared at her with a little smile.) You don't know me? (She shook her head, wondering why she should know who he was.) What a pity... I was waiting for so long to meet you... I'm your cousin, we can say, as you're now living with the Kim family!
Y/N: Dad is your uncle? (She bowed.) I'm sorry, I didn't know, please excuse me to have not greet you properly. I'm Y/N.
Choi Dong-Soo: Choi Dong-Soo, nice to meet you... (He patted her head.) Your new family did a good job to hide you.
Y/N: What... what do you mean?
Choi Dong-Soo smirked seeing Y/N's expression. She was not understanding.
Choi Dong-Soo: They never introduced you to anyone... but in the meantime, my Uncle is still not married to your mother, it's maybe not a relationship as serious as you can think...
Y/N was hurt by that man's words. Does everyone was thinking the same as him about her family?
Y/N: It is not...
Choi Dong-Soo : What? You really thought to be part of their family? You should know how cold and heartless they are now. I can tell you, they only care about their own blood... and I know it well...
Y/N: My brothers are not like that!
Choi Dong-Soo: Your brothers? That's cute... (He bended to her level and murmured.)... but don't hope too much from them... you will be the one hurt at the end.
Y/N looked down. She had pinky cheeks, and it was due to anger and sadness. She didn't want to believe that man that she never met, that she never heard about but even if she trusted her brothers and father, hearing that speech was painful.
Jin: What's going on here? (The cold voice of Jin resonated.)
Choi Dong-Soo: Hyung... I finally had the chance to meet your precious Y/N.
Jin came closer and put his hand on Y/N's shoulder. His gaze was on Choi Dong-Soo, and it was not a friendly look.
Jin: Y/N, are you alright? Do you need something?
Y/N: I just went to the restrooms.
Choi Dong-Soo: Hyung, you're so lucky to have found a cute little sister like her... I feel jealous...
Jin: Choi Dong-Soo, don't you have work to do?
ChoiDong-Soo: Ah Yes... sorry... I hope to see yousoon, little cousin...
He left with a smile, but Y/N knew that it was fake. She didn't notice that Jin was staring at her.
Jin: Sweetie, are you okay? Did he do something to you?
Y/N: It's nothing... just I didn't know that you have a cousin...
Jin: He likes to call himself our cousin, but he is just a kid that my late Uncle sponsored. We let him work here by regard of his relationship with our Uncle, that's all, so don't mind him. (She was thinking while looking down.) What did he say to you?
Y/N hesitated to tell him everything. Jin took her to his office.
Jin: So? Tell me?!
Y/N: He... he implied that I was someone disposable for the Kim family because Dad didn't marry Mom yet... and that you only care about blood relationships. But I know that it's not true!
Jin: I know that you know... my sister is the smartest... but I also know that you are somehow hurt by his words, I'm sorry.
Y/N: It's not your fault Oppa... but he doesn't seem to appreciate all of you... are you not in good term?
Jin: I should fire him!!! He must be jealous because we never treat him like a family member but his behavior toward you is not acceptable.
He stood up, ready to fight but Y/N grabbed his wrist and stopped him.
Y/N: Oppa, it's okay, don't be mad.
Jin: (He sighed.) Just this once, but in the future, if you cross his path, ignore him, he is not a good person.
Y/N: (She nodded.) Did you finish your work? Can we go somewhere else?
Jin: Yeah, let's go. (They went out, but Jin stopped at his secretary's office.) Miss Lee, next time when I ask you something, do your job correctly or find another one somewhere else!
Y/N: Oppa... Miss Lee is not at fault! (She pulled his sleeve.) I told her that I was fine by myself!
Miss Lee: I'm sorry Sir if Miss felt inconvenience, please accept my apologies. (She bowed for long seconds; Y/N was embarrassed.)
Jin didn't add anything. He took Y/N's hand and dragged her to the elevator. She felt sorry for Miss Lee.
Y/N: Why did you scold her, it's not fair!
Jin: ...
Y/N: Oppa... are you angry?
The elevator's door opened at the lobby floor, but Jin still had a cold expression. He gestured to his bodyguards to come and immediately, 3 men stood in front of him.
Jin: Y/N, wait for me a minute, I forgot something upstairs.
Bodyguard: Miss, please, take a seat. (He showed her one of the sofa while the two others asked the employees taking a break to free the place.)
Jin went upstairs but he didn't stop at his office floor. When the employees saw him coming, they automatically stood up to greet him. The department manager came to his encounter, but Jin didn't talk to him. He was focused on his target... Choi Dong-Soo.
Manager: Sir, how can we help you?
Jin: ...
ChoiDong-Soo: Hyung... you...
Choi couldn't finish his phrase, Jin slapped him in front of everyone, making the audience gasped. The manager looked down, he stepped back a little, not daring intervene.
Jin: Dong-Soo... this is my only warning. Know your place, don't try to mess up with my family. If you say bullshit to my sister ever again, it's not a simple slap that you will receive! Manager Song, assign him to the cleaning department, he is not qualified to work here!
Manager: Yes Sir. All of you, go back to work! Choi Dong-Soo, follow me to my office.
Jin left as he came. He couldn't leave the office with the anger he had inside of him since Y/N told him about Choi's words.
Choi was fuming. He was humiliated in front of everyone, treated like a garbage. He had not choice than keep his rage for the moment, but he promised to himself to make the Kim family pay for this insult.
In the lobby, Y/N was silently waiting for her brother return. She was anxious that he could be angry. But her assumptions were erased when she saw Jin coming with his usual smile.
Jin: Sorry to have make you wait; we can leave now.
Y/N: Are you still angry?
Jin: I am not angry at you... and I'm fine now. Sorry, I was a bit cold, but it was not against you, I promise. And about Miss Lee, she knows her job and she knows how to accept her mistakes, so don't mind her.
Y/N: You are very different at work...
Jin: You probably think that I'm tough but at work, I need to show everyone who is the boss.
Y/N: I'm sorry... I should not put my noze in the way you work...
Jin: Y/N... forget about that. Adults' world is complicated.
Jin drove to their original destination, and he ordered a special set of pastries with 2 fresh fruits juice. Y/N asked him why he made a "To Go" order and Jin winked before replying that he wanted to enjoy a nice sight while enjoying those delicacies.
Y/N didn't have to wait for too long to know what was their final destination, when her brother took the road for Namsan Tower.
Jin: We arrived. Let's find a quiet place and enjoy the view of the city.
Y/N: Oppa should come here with a girlfriend, not with his little sister... (She wanted to tease him again about that subject.)
Jin: Pff... why do you want so bad to see me with a girl? What if your Oppa prefers to have a boyfriend?
Y/N: As long as the person you love, love you, I don't care...
Jin: My little sister is a very open-mind person...
Y/N: If Dad wasn't open-mind by the past, he would have never dated a single mother and I would never have met you...
Jin: I don't know... It was your destiny to join our family.
Y/N: (She looked at him with her doe eyes.)... I... I don't know if it was my destiny but... I am so happy that sometimes... I'm scare that all of this is just a dream...
Jin passed his arm around her shoulders and attracted her against him.
Jin: That dream, you will never wake up from, so continue to dream about whatever you want, your family will always be there to make your wishes come true...
Y/N was deeply touched by Jin's declaration. She didn't want to show him her teary eyes, so she buried her face against his torso.
Jin: What??? You're not crying, right?
Y/N: No... Oppa... I love you... (She murmured, too shy and Jin blushed.)
Jin: I love you even more...
They stayed silent a moment, just looking at the lights of the city under their eyes. Most of the people present were couples or tourists. In that wide place, everyone can have their own space and enjoy to calm of the mountain.
Jin bought foods from a food stand, and they even had the chance to see a show of a street artist doing magic. Around 8.00pm, Yoongi called, worried to not see his siblings coming.
Jin-In Call: Yoongi, Y/N is with me, not with the kids, you don't have to worry. We will come back soon anyway.
Yoongi-In Call: hum... Namjoon is with you too?
Jin-In Call: No, we let him with Hoseok, he didn't come home yet? That brat must be with that girl.
Y/N: Oppa, it's his girlfriend, not a girl... he loves her a lot you know.
Jin: You really forgave him if you are able to talk for him.
Yoongi-In Call: We will have to talk to him about that too!
Jin-In Call: I agree but for now, let me enjoy my time with my sister!
Y/N-In Call: Bye Oppa!!!
Jin and Y/N ended their outing with a bubble tea, one of Y/N favorite drinks. Before leaving, they took a selfie with the Namsan Tower as background. It was enlightened with purple lights. They sent the photo to their parents. It was still the beginning of the day other there and Mr Kim decided to make a quick video call.
Y/N was happy to see her father. Her mother was busy with her therapy, to prepare her body for the operation in few weeks. They chitchatted for 10 minutes. Y/N mostly talked about all of her brothers but just a little about her. Mr Kim was glad to see her happy even if he knew that she missed her mother a lot. Jin agreed with his father to have a call later about work stuffs and they ended the call. It was now time to go home. They got in the car and Y/N fell asleep 5 minutes later. When they reached home, he kindly woke up her.
Yoongi: You took your time... .
Y/N: Oppa, did you have a good rest?
Yoongi: As much as you can with teenagers playing noisy game all day long. You should go refresh yourself and rest now.
Jin went to take a shower before heading back to the living room. Yoongi served him a beer. Few minutes later, Hoseok arrived. He had a dinner with his friends from the swimming team. He didn't stay with his brothers, too tired.
Jin didn't mention the "incident" with Choi Dong-Soo to Yoongi to avoid more drama. They had a call with their father to talk about the ongoing business. After destroying the Park family, they had the opportunity to extend their businesses. They signed a partnership with another clan to manage the interesting companies. Namjoon: Hyung, you are still awake?
Jin: We were waiting for you; we need to talk. (Namjoon sat.)
Yoongi: You were with her, I guess?
Namjoon: Yes, I was with Ha-Ri. Why, something happen?
Jin: You know that there is rules about girls. You can have fun but don't make her pregnant or...
Namjoon: Hyung, this is a serious relation and I'm not a kid. I'm 21, I know how to be responsible with my woman.
Yoongi: Keep in mind that your family comes first!
Namjoon: I know, and I fixed things with Y/N.
Jin: Don't forget Taehyung and Jungkook. Talk to them.
Namjoon: I will... when they will be willing to listen to me. And concerning Ha-Ri, I hope that you can accept her, she is a great person.
Yoongi: I have nothing against her, but you can not bring her in our house without Father consent... and you are not allowed to sleep at her house too!
Namjoon: Why?
Yoongi: (He stood up.) Because I say so... if you want to gain that right, show us that you are mature enough and it's clearly not the case for now! (He left to his bedroom.)
Namjoon: Hyung, you also think like him?
Jin: Yes. That girl seems mature and serious, but your behavior lately showed that you are not. You are maybe a smart guy, but you have to grow up on this aspect. I hope that you understand our point of view.
Namjoon: Yes, sorry to have disappointed you, I will regain your trust!
The next days passed without major issues. Everyone was busy by their own activities. Taehyung and Jungkook talked with Y/N to be sure that Namjoon didn't force her to forgive him. She explained that he talked with sincerity to her, and she asked them to make efforts to not fight. She would never ask them to forgive him too because they had their own reasons and own feelings about that.
She proposed to the youngers to go with her and Namjoon at the webtoon exposition, but they refused. Jimin freed his agenda to go with them. Every occasion to spend time with his sister was a good occasion for the young man. It was also a good opportunity to know his brother's girlfriend more. The group had a great moment. Namjoon felt that his relationship with Y/N was close to the one he had before he left. They stopped at a barbecue restaurant to finish the day and Ha-Ri offered a little gift from the exposition to Y/N.
When they came back home, Yoongi came to see Y/N and asked her if she had a good day. He was still a bit cold with Namjoon but as days passed and seeing his sister happiness, he choose to not keep grudges against his little brother.
Another couple of days passed. The school was in effervescence with the preparation of a winter festival. Y/N was less enthusiast to have to team up with her classmates. Strangely, when their head professor asked them to do groups, the popular girls volunteer to team up with her. It was groups of 4 and Y/N's group was in charge of the promotion for their class. During the lunch break, they came to Y/N's table and insisted to go to Y/N's house after school to work on the project. Even if she was not fan of that idea, Y/N couldn't say directly no.
Y/N: I have to ask my brothers.
Hyun-Ae: I'm sure that they will say yes.
Taehyung: Say Yes to what? What are you doing here?
Taehyung and Jungkook arrived and sat at the table. Sohyun was there too and surprised to see those girls with Y/N.
Y/N: We are in the same project group for the winter festival... We need to work on it, and they proposed to do it after school... at home.
Taehyung: Ask Jin Hyung, he won't say no.
Jungkook stared at the girls who were already showing a big smile.
Hyun-Ae: Thanks, Taehyung Oppa.
Taehyung: Oppa? Eh little girl, don't mistake things. I am only that cutie's Oppa... and our little Sohyun. (He smiled to her, and she blushed, embarrassed.)
Hyun-Ae: Sorry, Sunbaenim. Have a good lunch, we will see you in class Y/N.
Jungkook: Hyung, you forgot all the girls that you flirt with...Oppaaa (Taehyung glared at him but Jungkook smirked.) Y/N, why did you agree to team up with those girls?
Y/N: I didn't have a lot of choice.
Sohyun: (She hugged Y/N's arm.) I also have a weird team...
Taehyung: Sohyun, if your team bullies you, tell me.
Sohyun: It's not like that but the boys are not serious, and the girl is only interested on her makeup.
Y/N:Let's be patient until that festival is over...
Y/N asked permission to Jin to bring her classmates home and he agreed.
After class, Y/N and her classmates joined Jungkook and Taehyung in front of school. They walked to the house and on the way, Taehyung dragged Y/N to the convenience store. Jungkook stayed outside with the girls and took that opportunity to make things clear with them.
Jungkook: Hey, just to make things clear, we know why you choose to team up with Y/N but keep in mind that if you try to play with my sister to approach us... (His tone was cold and menacing.)... I will not hesitate to beat you! So, enjoy the show, fantasize on whatever you want but never cross the line with her!
Yuna: We... we...
Taehyung: We're done... JK... don't be so scary with those little girls.
Y/N saw Jungkook and Taehyung exchanging one of their secret gaze, the one they have when they plan a trick or something like that. When they arrived home, the girls were surprised by the guards and the size of the house. They were aware of the chance they have to be here. Mr Nam welcomed the students with refreshments, and they installed themselves in the living room. The boys went to refresh upstairs but came back to the living room after instead of playing video games upstairs.
Hyun-Ae: Y/N, are you good at drawing? We need to prepare posters.
Y/N: Euh... not really... I'm not good with manual activities... sorry...
Yuna: I'm not good either.
Choo-Hee: Even if we choose a good concept, we need someone to help us with the drawing... Y/N, you can maybe ask for help to your brother. I know that Jungkook is good at drawing.
Y/N looked at the girls then at Jungkook. He was on his phone.
Y/N: Hum... I'm not sure...
Choo-Hee: Jungkook Sunbaenim... (He looked at her with a blank expression.) Can you help us?
Jungkook stood up and came closer to the girls.
Jungkook: Sis', you need Oppa's help? (He smirked and patted her head.)
Y/N: (She frowned at his behavior.) You are probably busy, it's okay...
Taehyung also stood up and sat near Y/N. He passed his arm around her shoulders and attracted her against him.
Taehyung: Can I help you on something? I'm not as good as JK but if I can help my little sister, I am all yours...
Y/N was embarrassed by her brothers' behavior. Were they acting like that in purpose? The girls of her class were totally fangirling.
Yuna: Y/N is so lucky to have affectionate brothers...
Y/N: Oppa... we... we have to work... (She gently broke the hug.)
Taehyung was amused by the situation, but he also understood that Y/N didn't find that funny. He stared at her in silence while Jungkook asked Y/N what she wanted to draw.
Few minutes later, they were surprised to see Jin and Yoongi coming.
Jin: Sweetie... they are your classmates? Nice to meet you, I'm Y/N's elder brother Jin.
Y/N: Oppa, you came back early today...
The girls smiled to the two handsome young men. Yoongi approached and kissed Y/N's forehead.
Yoongi: We had to be there, as you brought your classmates. Just to be sure that everything is alright. We would be very annoyed to have girls with bad intentions, in our house, with our little sister...
Yoongi's tone was far to be friendly and his gaze was even colder.
Yuna: We... we won't create problem to Y/N sir.
Jin: I'm sure you won't. Please, focus on your project, don't mind us.
Jin gave to the girls what Y/N named his commercial smile before leaving to his father's office. Yoongi stayed on the couch with his phone. Taehyung gave them some space too and sat on the other couch. The group decided to draw fireworks on a winter night for the background of their poster.
Hyun-Ae: Sunbae, can you show me how to draw?
He smirked and came closer to Hyun-Ae. The young girl was already blushing, just thinking about being close to her crush. Jungkook bent to her level and murmured.
Jungkook: You think that I will flirt with a girl in front of my little sister... wake up idiot... it will never happen...
The girl frowned and Jungkook laughed before contouring the table to position himself behind Y/N. He put his left hand on the table and grabbed Y/N's hand who was holding the pencil with his right hand.
Y/N: Jungkook... what are you doing?!
Jungkook: I'm teaching you how to draw... so be a good girl...
Y/N: Stop... I can do it alone...
Jungkook: Come on little sis'... I'm sure that your classmates are happy that I help you with your poster, right girls?
Choo-Hee: Yes Y/N... let your brother helping you.
Y/N: (She murmured.) Why are you doing this? Are you having fun?
Jungkook: (He murmured.) Yes, a lot...
